Seeing that Bastien seemed to make his back smooth and comfortable for her she was greatful that at Tori's asking he seemed much more willing to help her out. She just wanted rest, feeling his fins seem to act as fans before they wrapped around her securely. For a change she felt like there was no expectations of her or between the two of them. Taking a bit of a deep breath she would hold to him, still not to tightly or to loose, but enough so she would just slide off his back. She was indeed to tired to try and stop him if he indeed wanted to run off into the water. Not that it would matter she could of just changed into her merfolk form if needed be. But he seemed to be headed in the direction she had told him at the instructions that Tori had given her. Though of course if he had, Tori would have to send someone after them, as she knew there was a lot going on, her mind drifting off as she laid against his back.[C]
Listening to the sound of Bastien's breathing as it kept her mind From wondering off to far into what had happened between her and Curious. Her body hurt, and was exhausted, so this point sleep was the only thing on her mind at the present time. Maybe some good rest would help her mind think clearly, she had pointed out a bit to Bastien where snouts the nest should be, and that they were to have set up a rope latter for her to be able to climb up in. Though of course that was going to be painful to do so, but soon that thought was gone as she felt him shift and seem to be the one that would climb up there. She was surprised that he was able to climb, but also that he seemed to be concerned that she would just fall off. As his fins cupped around her protectively as the climb started, then watching his fin change to a tentacle wrapping around her waist.[C]
Once he was up and then moving herself with winches as tears ran down her cheeks she would manage to get into the nest with Bastien's help. Hearing his words though she would just glance up at hi as she tried to wipe the fresh tears away anyways. "Thank you.....anyways...for the help" she told him quietly as she laid down having found a small bottle of a draft that Ko had made for her. She would take a sip of it. Watching Bastien climb off into a near by tree and glance at her as he seemed to scoff, but wstching him stay near by made her feel like she could rest in a peaceful manner without anyone coming to bother her. Even though he seemed to be not having a need to care, he still helped, so maybe on some level he did. Settling in she would close her eyes as the draft seemed to slowly start working enough for to at least get a decent nap in.[E]

It was rather odd to ask such a rather direct request, but as her eyes lingered upon Tori, it seemed that it was something of great importance. Something that required tact, as she nodded softly. "Well, I had some questions about placement of some of the pens. But, that can wait until later." As she took hold of the paper, nodding gently. Taking a look upon it. It seemed to be a fair ways from camp. Privacy was of the utmost, as she nodded gently. "Alright, just have to make a round to feed the animals, and I'll be on my way shortly after." As she smiled brightly. "And do rest. I'd hate to see you run your beautiful self into the ground." As she giggled softly.

After having settled in, Violet would sleep for a while, as her mind and body were both quite exhusted with such things and even managed to sleep without the continued nightmare. Taking some shallow small breaths as she rested she would stay there all night just sleeping and regaining some strength in her body. One thing she hated though was the dress, it was restricting her from having decent movements in her sleep. She was tempted to just tear the thing off, but wanted to hide her body. But as the sounds of foot steps could be heard Bastien seemed to growl lowly and riled up. He would though stay hidden in the trees as his fins would all turn into tentacles ready to impale anyone that came to close. Of that low growling gruff voice of his at Violet. Her eyes then shifted as they adjusted to the evening light and then she finally spotted Soryou. "It's fine....just Soryou...she means no harm Bastien.." She told him softly as she had tossed the rope latter back down after having pulled it up. Hearing Bastien growling more, Violet would sigh a bit "she brought you food for the first night we really met....I asked her to as you seemed hungry..." She told him quietly as she shifted over a bit as to allow Soryou room to climb up and sit with her. Sniffing the air a bit Bastien could smell the somewhat familiar scent and just grumbled under his breath, but seemed to make no moves, and stayed in a stance to of that keeping an eye on the approching person. His arms were folded at this point as he leaned there on the wall in the brig. He had reieved no answer in if Tori would also punish Heli for the way he took in ' bringing' the cat to her. This annoyed him as he was waiting. Sure he easily could have escaped from the brig if he wanted to, he could have done so the moment he stepped into it, but the matter was he went in there willingly. He had wondered if Tori had gone to see the girl yet he told her about.. or if anyone had done so for that matter. If not, well there was really nothing he could do now was there? She heard a low growl. Something about the sound reminded her of a specific individual. Or, many individuals, as her gut instinct was to assume a defensive position. But, as words were spoken, she looked upwards to see a pink haired individual, and a rope ladder. "Violet?" As she assumed as a question, before climbing up. A fort. Now this was something she was rather jealous of. Going to shuffle between the two, she'd take a seat. Almost freezing at the sight of Bastien. "I... See he's up and at em more now." As she smiled gently. "This is a really beautiful place. High up, and all. I love places like this, but... I'm sad to say, I can't enjoy it more." As she turned her eyes to Bastien, then Violet. "I was told to come here. But... Why? Is there something wrong Violet?" Holding her posture straight, but with the intention of listening. Violet would sigh a bit as she knew Bastien's trust isn't something that would be exactly easy to earn, but none the less it was something to work towards. Bastien keeping in his stance eyed the woman as he kept his distance as well. Only would move his tentacles a moment if to reposition them as the woman climbed up "yes.." She called back to Soryou softly, as she watched her climb up. Though she remained resting laying still as it was just to much soreness that she rather just lay there to talk. "Yes, this is new for him...he's been really pleasent today.." She spoke softly after Soryou settled down. Bastien wouldn't do much talking as more as a watchful eyes and ears, as he watched the two of them begin their interaction, why he was still doing this was perplexing to him. He wondered if it had something to do with anything he ate or drank recently. "Well...I am sure on your down times you could visit here...I don't think Tori would mind much..." Violet spoke softly. Time she seemed to cry he couldn't look away. It was starting to grow a bit of an annoyance from him. "...well I um...started to be fussing over the dress he had chosen..as I needed to be able to move lest we be attacked....and he grew very upset with me..." Sophi went to the little window of her room and looked out into the bay. She smiled devilishly as she watched the new "improved" canons out to the ships. There were two on each boat but only a few boats were carrying them. It would take a while for them to be loaded and put into place, the old canons being hauled out and taken back to shore. As a ship was outfitted with the new weapons and loaded with supplies they would set sail to hunt pirate vessels. By the time the sun was down there were no more ships, save a merchant vessel. There was a knock at her door which made her sigh. She knew what was coming, and started to disrobe. When the door open it was not who she thought. A young boy stared at her wide eyed, holding a tray of food. "I'm so sorry!" She said and quickly picked up her cloths. After unloading everything finally she took a shaky breath as she let her tears just fall, feeling like a weight had been lifted from her chest. She finally told Soryou what had happened, though still listening for her reply, but Bastien was not at all happy with this, so he ended up climbing down and storming off to the ocean waters to go hunting for something to rip apart. "Those are answers I don't even know, but it be just over a dress...." She started as she nodded a bit as she figured there was indeed something different with Soryou. "...I did try to leave...but he did bound me up...and the care after...is really it.." She muttered softly. "....I honestly wanted to wait until...I fell in love...I know that seems silly, maybe it be my naivety" she told her as she shook her head a bit more. "I mean...we were just getting over our quark before...and making nice and were trying to get along.." She told her as she sighed a bit. "So I don't think I had feeling for him before this.(c)

Here she went with this problem again. he was talking but she didn't understand him. She shook her head and sighed heavily. "Meta va kusa..." She spoke, knowing he wouldn't understand either. His gesture confused her but he seemed to get it as he left and came back with some writing material. It wasn't exactly what she hoped for but she might be able to work with it. She nodded, pointing to him then the paper before doing the writing on her hand again. She pulled her translator out and had it ready in case he did understand that she wanted him to write something down. Hopefully it was one, or close to one, they had scanned before. It was likely that it was since the portal was open to this world in the first place.

Still it called out with its loud voice, rhythmic and clear in its tone. Scrim had work, something more than nails and sharpening sabers. These... these would be weapons, not lumps of slag swung by clumsy hands. True steel was being made, the purity guaranteed in the only fashion Scrim would accept, made by his own hands. Left to his own devices, Scrim will work long into the night.

She looked at what he'd written and held up her scanner. After a moment a file came up and she smiled as it was in deed a language on record. She held a finger up to him and read what he'd wrote. She took the paper and set the scanner on it. She spoke, pulling the device from left to right, leaving perfectly written English, matching his own hand, on the paper. "Hello. I am Ila. It is nice to meet you." She smiled as she showed it back to him. This was going to make things so much easier. She set the paper on her lap and spoke some more, repeating the process and forming a new sentence. "Sit next to me and show me how to say our words in your tongue." Was what was left on the sheet. Violet didn't mind much at this point, plus with no one else having understood to be extra gentle with her until everything heals up. She took the paper and read what he wrote, looking to him with a smile and a nod. She scooted a little so he would sit close and repeated what she'd done to put words on the paper. "That's fine. I'm a quick study. Read these to me:..." And went on to list some 20 or 30 words. It was the basics, pronouns and such. Once they'd gone over them she listed more words for him to read off. The whole event took only about an hour before the paper was covered front to back and she was rolling it up for later study. "Thank you, for your assistance." She said in perfect English. With the data she had in the file she'd be able to learn the whole every word and be able to form common and complex sentences in no time.

She took their pistols and muskets and headed out into the bright sun light. She was making her way to the docks, killing as many soldiers as she could along the way. Once fired she'd drop the guns and use only swords until she walked up the plank to the merchant ship. She took the captain hostage and forced them to set sail, holding up with him in his cabin as they headed out into deeper waters. (e)
