Honeymoon Cottage - Yarti/Snakestone

Our journey this week brought us to a warm little honeymoon cottage along the White River. A place far beyond it’s outward appearance. We rented a full week for but a handful of coin. Perhaps the owner thought us newlyweds or saw how tired we really were. Not entirely wrong either way.  It had been a long week, little time for rest or love. I thought to leave another coinpurse where the caretaker could find it before we left, just to make things more right. This was a bit much for what we paid.

Near every wall had a painting of some sort, wildlife, drawings of battles. The pantry full of treats and bread, fresh baked that morning from the aroma. Wine and spirits in massive variety. Every corner littered with hardwood shelves and expensive chairs, imported cushions like those I would order, and in the center of the living room, a grand pool, a winged statue adorning it’s head. Our travelworn outfits simply wouldn’t do. I dug through my bag for more fitting attire. We must look the part, I thought. Finally, in yellow and black robes. The theme not entirely matched, yet we fulfilled the look. And with coming night, went on to fulfill the rest.
