Summary:
	The zombie apocalypse that everyone has been predicting finally came.  You're part of a military group that guards a fence keeping the creatures away.  Things have calmed down and you've all gotten bored with the monotonous silence and lack of action.  Time to have some fun on the job!
	The setting is loosely based on the scenes at Camp Humphreys in the movie World War Z, where the troops there ride bicycles to stay silent and avoid the attention of the nearby zombies.

Author's Notes:
	Try to keep the volume consistent.  Since all of the dialogue is whispered, the listener is likely to turn up the volume while listening, and a loud noise could be painful.

	This takes place on a flat roof of a building.  There's nothing special about the building except its location provides a good view for a lookout sentry.  Assume it is a metal or concrete surface for purposes of sound.  Ambient night sounds like wind rustling tall grass or crickets would be welcome as well.

	CONSIDER EVERYTHING AS A SUGGESTION!  Feel free to add/change any dialogue you like, flip the script, add or remove sound effects, you name it.  I'm totally happy with however you decide to make this script into your own.

Start Script:
(shuffling sound as he crawls on his elbows up next to her)

[whispering]  How's it going?  Everything quiet?

No, you're fine.  No emergency, I'm early.  Just to talk.  Night watch can be pretty depressing alone, right?

Everything's quiet though?

[pause]

Where?

I can't see that far yet, I don't have my night eyes.  Let me borrow your binoculars.

[squinting, while trying to focus where she's pointing]  By the fence?  Inner or outer fence?  Oh, never mind.  I see them.  Kinda milling around?  [pause]  I count ten... wait, eleven.

There were more?  That's odd.  I've never seen Zed wander out of a group, they always get attracted to the noise and gather together.  Huh.

Well, the eggheads say they're starting to starve.  They need calories to function, too, and they don't seem to eat each other.  Maybe their behavior is changing because of that.

But if that group hasn't moved all night, and you haven't seen any others, sounds like you've been pretty bored, huh?  [soft, quiet laugh]

Look, I came here early to talk to you.  Actually, Dan was supposed to relieve you, I swapped shifts with him.  He's taking my patrol in the morning, he was happy for the extra sleep.

I wanted to talk personal stuff, between you and me.  That okay?

[pause while he gathers his thoughts]  So... I transferred here over three months ago.  Yeah, I know, it feels like three years.  At the time, you were hooking up with that guy Matt.  [pause]  Mark, right, sorry.

I don't think I ever spoke to him.  I was only here a week when we lost him, when he... when that civilian evac went south.  Everyone around here was pretty sad about it, but you were devastated.  I remember that pretty well.

I knew you needed a friend.  Someone you could talk to that wouldn't pressure you into anything.  I made it my job to distract you when you needed it and listen when you needed an ear.

I still want to be that friend for you.  I don't want to pressure you.  But, I want more.  So, I came out here to ask you a really tough question: do you think you're ready to get back in the game?

You know what I mean.  You've been celibate for way too long.

You don't have to answer right now, just think on it.  I wanted to put the offer out there.

Yes, it's an offer.  From me, to you.  In case you hadn't noticed, I'm a guy.  And I think I've made it clear in past conversations that I'm mostly hetero.  And frankly, you're the only girl I'm interested in right now.

[slowly, with some reluctance]  Actually... I was thinking... right here, right now.  We both have time.  Things are quiet.  We're alone up on this roof.  Why the hell not?

Yes, I'm dead serious.  I can see pretty well now, and if we do it right, we can both keep watch at the same time.

[quiet laugh]  I think that's a yes.  Look.  (he pulls a condom from a pocket)  I even came prepared.

No, can't be on your back.  [pause]  Army crawl up to the edge so you can see.  (scuffing sound as she moves forward)

Okay, up on your elbows.  I'm going to reach under and unbuckle your belt.  (belt/clothing sounds)

[pause]

Now... just slide it all down...  Damn, you have a fine ass.  Give me a minute to appreciate this.  I had no idea you were hiding this under your fatigues.  [happy chuckle]

(condom wrapper crinkles as he opens it and puts it on)
