- So i couldn't find a method that worked and so figured out my own.. i assume this will work for other regions too but have no way to test.
- You'll need a premium account.. if you're int he UK and on Vodafone for mobile then you can get 6 months free.
- You'll need :
- Firefox with the "HLS STream Sniper" addon installed : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/hls-stream-sniper/
- YT-DLP : https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp
- FFMPEG : https://www.ffmpeg.org/
- Install the Firefox addon from above
- Log in to your Discovery+ account and start playing a video.. it'll find 4 streams..
- Click the command option in the addon and select "Youtube-DL URL"
- Then click the bottom URL it detected. It should just be playlist.m3u8
- Paste the link into notepad and replace youtube-dl with yt-dlp (at the start)
- If you've got YT-DLP and FFMPEG installed, then just run the command (i use windows) and you'll end up with an MP4 file of around 2GB for a 45 minute show..
- I hope this helps someone and allows more DSC+ rips to appear!
