how they met ➳
she used to be in pledis and she started talking to joshua after they both found out they were both from california and she was born literally a day after him. however, she left pledis due to the amount of stress she was struggling with and they barely kept in touch until she became a trainee again, at starship and they meet again at events.

— there was an event where all companies gather and get their groups to perform. then they meet at the backstage cafeteria and start talking while eating together again then they exchange phone numbers and promised each other they'll eat together one day.

— they go to the same salon and meet each other. he then orders a cup of iced coffee, raeann's favourite, for her.

— he messages her asking her to meet that night for another meal. when she was leaving the dorm to head to the dinner area, he was at the entrance, waiting to pick her up. when they got to the dinner area, he gives her a bouquet of flowers and asks her to be his girlfriend. she then says yes and after the meal, they go for a night movie before he sends her back to the dorm.

— she goes to seventeen's dorm for the first time and all the members immediately clicked well with her because of her bubbly and cheerful personality. at her visit there, wonwoo and mingyu were both talking happily with her and once joshua saw it, he pulled her away from them and sat in-between them. she started laughing and was lowkey happy that he got jealous and so she started acting cute to him and being very clingy that made him happier.

— they meet at music bank. during the rehearsal, raeann slips and injures her left ankle. however, it was their day of their comeback and she didn't want to not perform because of her ankle. her ankle was swelling and obviously painful but she was determined on getting on that stage. so she went up to perform at their comeback stage and tried her best to act completely normal despite her constant limping to the different formations and her expression every time she walked with her left feet and pressure was placed on the left ankle. right after the performance ended, raeann wanted to walk backstage as quick as she could so that she wouldn't delay the next performance but she just couldn't go any fast, like the rest of the members. seeing her in that state, he ran in and carried her on his back and ran backstage.

— right after the day of the performance, reporters took pictures of ^ and posted it on the internet. there were hate comments about their relationship and raeann got upset hence, she took a short hiatus to "heal her swelling ankle" but actually she's just afraid of facing the world again. she just stayed in the room and laid it bed for her hiatus period, with a little bit of sobbing because she didn't feel good, not at all. one of the members told joshua about it and he came and met her at the entrance of their dorm. the moment she sees him, she bursts into tears, a rare sight from the group's hype princess, and he just embraces her while she cries in his chest. when she finally stopped, he told her he loves her very much and she felt a lot better after that night.

— both companies find out about their relationship and they all met up to talk about it. raeann was again afraid and scared of the outcome because she didn't want to break up with an amazing guy like joshua. no one would expect that both companies were actually happy about the relationship and they confirmed the rumours about them dating. after that, raeann was extremely happy that they could date each other in open.
