  21. Dear Parents and Guardians,
  22.
  23.
  24. Whenever a threat is made to our school, the administration, in coordination with the Marlboro Township Police Department, investigates and determines the credibility of the threat based on the information available. Specifically, a bomb threat was written on a bathroom wall this past Tuesday afternoon. We immediately contacted the Marlboro Police Department and used all available resources to evaluate the situation. It was determined that there was no credibility to the threat and proceeded according to established protocol. Based on our investigation, at no time was the security of Marlboro Middle School compromised or questioned. Wednesday and today were regular school days without incident.
  25.
  26. The incident generated many rumors, the vast majority of which are untrue. Word traveled quickly through phone messaging and social media sites. We understand that it also resulted in heightened anxiety for parents and students. Unfortunately, we cannot release any details about a bomb threat until the police department determines that releasing information will not compromise its investigation.
  27.
  28. Please be assured that the safety and welfare of our students, staff, and building is of the highest priority to the administration and board of education. We will continue to be diligent in monitoring the security of our building. We will continue to collaborate and cooperate with the Marlboro Township Police Department on all matters of safety and security as well as with any and all investigations that law enforcement conducts to insure that our school remains a safe and nurturing environment for all.
  29.
  30. Please take a moment to discuss the seriousness of this matter with your child. This incident is not being taken lightly by school administration or law enforcement and appropriate measures will be taken in this matter.
  31.
  32. As always, thank you for your understanding and support.
  33.
  34. Sincerely,
  35. Mrs. Nieliwocki
