- I've mentioned this a few times in discords and on stream, but I've been having some thumb discomfort over the last couple months or so. Physio thinks it could be tendonitis, and it started happening when I was streaming a lot (particularly after six straight days of Bulbasaur FRLG attempts). It definitely acts up when I game more often than every third day, and rest is pretty much the only way to fix it.
- Therefore, I've decided to scale back on doing runs, and started just before Community Day. I may do a FRLG race or FRLG+ run here or there, but likely I won't stream more than once or twice per week for the next month or so, until early July most likely. I have two pretty big camping/hiking trips lined up in mid-May and mid-June so that'll help with resting the hands. My hands already feel much better in the last couple weeks where I largely did no gaming whatsoever, so I'm on the right track!
- As for runs, the plan is pretty much to do shorter categories when I do stream, so that means more FRLG+ runs as well as maybe a return to Shield Isle of Armor (definitely want to take a crack at WR in those categories at some point this year). Planning to keep things interesting by doing some different alt mains in FRLG+ like Mankey, Nidoking, and maybe even Crobat! I did submit one of my favorite runs for a marathon as well, hopefully that gets in as well! :)
- I really hate to do this since I was getting some good momentum leading up to and on Community Day, thank you to everyone who follows, lurks and also to those who subbed! <3 I know extended breaks are bad for momentum, but health comes first!
- Thanks for reading! :) :)
