- ~!~What's the best way to play with a new generation of consoles?
- BladeRunner2099: I'm trying to decide which to pick up, but there's so much I feel like I missed out on. I'd like to know in which order to play my games and which to buy.
- I just want to know what's the best way to play with a new generation of consoles.
- -----
- Zukkoyaki: Play a game that isn't a PS4 game on PC.
- -----
- A Ream of Paper: This is easily the best way to play on a new game.
- -----
- Gamer @ Heart: If you have a PS4 it's pretty much the best choice. If you have a PC it's still best.
- -----
- Blackquill: The PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 is the best choice.
- -----
- Gunny T Highway: If you're a fan of the first game then it's probably the best. I'd recommend the PS4 version.
- -----
- Baconmonk: Buy whatever you feel is right for the PS4.
- -----
- Baconmonk: You're good. I suggest you buy a PS4, then a PC if you want that.
- -----
- Zukkoyaki: Hmm, I think I'll pick up both versions.
- -----
- RampagingSouls: The PS4 version.

- L.O.R.D: January’s Switch E3 reveal will be the showstopper
- Phantom Thief: Nintendo Switch
- Nintendo Switch

- -----
- Khaos Prime: The Smash Bros. Direct is like the only thing I can think of.
- -----
- lolilolailo: There are some really hot videos showing off the eShop.
- -----
- L.O.R.D: January’s eShop reveal is a big step up from the small reveal that was the last thing I was expecting.
- -----
- L.O.R.D: I'm guessing the Switch E3 will have a Smash reveal, but it could still be Smash.
- -----
- L.O.R.D: I don't think it has a Smash reveal, as Smash is Nintendo's biggest franchise in the world.
- I doubt it will be a Smash reveal.

- ~!~What's the best game that's ever been made?
- Htown: I'm talking about games that have never been made, and I'm talking about games that have been made and still are made.
- My main concern is this: what's the best game that's ever been made?
- I'm more of a fan of games that were made and still are made, rather than games that were made and still are made. In my view, these games are generally not made by the people making them, but rather by the people who made them, and I think that's the best-selling title on Steam right now.
- Let's break down what I think are the best games that have ever been made:

- I have been thinking about the optional baby parenting thread these days, and it has been worth mentioning that it can be a very powerful tool.

- ~!~Stealth Stalker: The Thread (Developer Commentary)
- Cybersai: A lot of people have been asking the question recently: why is the stealth Stalker the pinnacle of stealth gameplay?
- I've seen a lot of people comment on the fact that it's a tense game, but I've never seen it as tense as stealth Stalker, and I have no idea why. It's tense in the sense of the feeling of the world surrounding you, of fear, of danger, of fear of spoiling what's left behind. Stalker is definitely a tense game, and I think the game should be regarded as such.
- I think the game needs a little more time to develop, and in the meantime I think people should be able to start playing it. Even if you have a PC you can play it on any PC, and maybe even on the PC!
- I would like to see how it plays and how it plays on PC.
- -----
- kadotsu: I think it's a great game, so I would say it's worth a look. Stalker is one of those games which actually have a lot of potential.
- -----
- show me your ps4: you can play it on monday, and it's not just the game :p
- -----
- BubbleButt64: the game itself is a worthy purchase.
- -----
- oneida: I had a similar experience with Stalker when I played it on PC. It's amazing that it's still a stand-alone game, but it just feels so much better than Stalker. I love stealth games, but I also think that the game's stealth mechanics are better suited for a game like Stalker.
- -----
- ZeoVGM: It's a great game. It's stealthy and like stealth in a stealth game. It's not stealthy because it's not stealthy. It's stealthy because it's stealthy. It's stealthy because it's stealthy. Stealth is the best stealth.
- -----
- Arthands: I have never played stealth before, so i'm not sure which is the best. Not sure if it's the best, or if it's the best stealth game, or even if it's the best stealth game.
- -----
- The Almighty Tria: Stealth Stalker has the best gameplay and atmosphere. It has a surprisingly good stealth design.
- -----
- AalDoopliss: I

- ~!~Ubisoft to remove microtransactions from its Assassin's Creed games, and the rest of the Ubisoft fanbase will suffer
- Nirolak: I'm not sure if this is related to The Division 2, but I'm curious if it will be the case for Ubisoft games.
- Via Ars Technica:
- -----
- Khanimus: Well it's not directly against microtransactions, sure. But if they're going to remove them, it will be because of the bad word of mouth about microtransactions.
- -----
- Mory Dunz: Ubisoft will continue to remove their games from the Assassin's Creed series, no matter what the final version of the game is like.
- -----
- adam prime: I'm pretty sure the last game they did a microtransaction patch on was AC: Odyssey, but that was by far the worst patch on any of them.
- -----
- zombiejames: I don't think this is related to the DLC, but I don't think it will impact my enjoyment of the game.
- -----
- Mory Dunz: I don't think so.
- -----
- Nothing Loud: I'm not sure what I'm going to say.
- -----
- Saucycarpdog: I'll be happy if it's a bad game and not a good game, but I don't think its bad.
- -----
- Ap3x: I think that's a good thing

- ~!~Best/worst PS1 games?
- Dama: I recently picked up Dead Space 3, which is a bit of a mess with the insanely convoluted story and the over-the-top level design. I'm looking at the best PS1 game, or worst, at the moment.

- Toumari: The only game that stuck with me was Bloodbourne. But I also don't think it has the best story.

- ~!~I think Square-Enix should've made a game called Super Vandal (literally)
- yuoke: In a recent thread, I thought it might be nice to see a game that brought the Super Vandal franchise to the point where it's now considered by some as a franchise of its own.
- I think it's pretty neat that Square-Enix should've made a game based on this, and not something that's been a mainline title.
- -----
- WillyTheBikeGuy: yeah, that's what I thought of when I read the title.
- -----
- Rygar 8Bit: I'm shocked by the idea of a Super Vandal game based on the series. I don't think they made a Super Vandal game for their game. I think it would have been the same thing with Super Meat Boy.
- -----
- yuoke: Because those were the GBA/PS2 era games.
- -----
- The Almighty Tria: They should've made a Super Meat Boy game for the Gamecube, since it was a spiritual successor to Super Meat Boy.
- -----
- wafflebrain: I think it would've been a mistake to make a Super Meat Boy game based on the series.
- -----
- yuoke: Same goes for the Super Bunnyhop thing, just no way it'd have been a sequel to Super Meat Boy.
- -----
- Cloud-Hidden: The idea of Super Meat Boy is so appealing to me that I don't think I'll buy it.
- -----
- Schmitz: That's really cool, but I get why not. I loved Super Meat Boy and wanted a sequel.
- -----
- KuuKy!: I think this is a pretty big missed opportunity, especially when considering the franchise is so well known.

- ~!~What is your favorite final boss fight?
- oni-link: I'm not actually a fan of Final Bosses, but I love the final boss of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, after defeating an enemy that had a heart of gold and a death ray. Now I know that's not a perfect fight, but I love it.
- The final boss of Super Smash Bros. Brawl is actually my favorite. I loved the final boss of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This fight was so epic it made me dream about it almost every day for years. We still have the final boss and it is just so satisfying.
- -----
- Dyle: I think the final boss of Super Mario Bros. 2 is the best of all the Final Bosses.
- -----
- Jarod McChicken: The final boss of Super Mario Bros. 3.
- -----
- 808s & Villainy: I was going to say Final Boss.
- -----
- CannonFodder52: I always figured that with a final boss, with a general charge of power he'd just be a giant boulder that's invincible for a few seconds.
- -----
- Cels: the final boss of mario odyssey
- -----
- Rodjer: Final boss of mario odyssey
- -----
- Atheerios: Final boss of mario odyssey
- -----
- Kalor: I love that final boss of mario odyssey.

- Loudninja: The announcement is blizzard and it’s a nice surprise.
- -----
- Zippo: I wonder if that means they'll be able to offer a second player anywhere else.
- -----
- Heartskips: Why would they want to do that? Sounds like it'll be limited to the same regions.
- -----
- JaeCryo: Microsoft is going to need to do a lot of work to improve the gamepass service.
- -----
- Starlatine: that's pretty big
- -----
- Starlatine: I'm glad they're doing it like this, but they're basically letting people play offline on their own servers.
- -----
- Crayon: The point of this is that they'll be giving people who want to play offline the option to play offline on their own servers. This means people who want to play offline can also, of course, play online.
- -----
- Loudninja: Because it's not currently possible to play offline with the game pass and it requires a certain amount of time to play the game pass.
- -----
- Abriael: What's wrong with Microsoft? But that's exactly what Xbox Live is for.

- ~!~Dante’s Quest - Introduction
- Nacho Papi: So I was watching a couple of episodes of the DMC2 dlc and I was thinking about how a couple of things in the game are interwoven into the story and that's why I'm doing a DMC1 Introduction video now.
- I saw
- Dante’s Quest
- This is a big part of the story of the game
- The story is great
- Its a good introduction to DMC (the DMC franchise)
- The music in this is cool (btw, it really is)
- This is a bit of a convoluted story (and it seems to be a bit of a mystery)
- Now, I’m not going to spoil the game for anyone who doesn’t want to play it, it is a bit of a convoluted thing, but I’m sure you can figure out what DMC1 is.
- Dante’s Quest (the DMC2 intro)
- Dante is a mysterious man who seems to really value his life. He has a boat that he can carry, and he’s been wanting to build a boat for some time. So he’s trying to build a boat for himself, and he’s got a magic spell that allows him to hold on to the boat, which means he can hold on to it at will. So when the boat is suddenly pulled off, he becomes a dragon that can fly, and has a magical attack that can make him fly up. And this goes on for a few hours. It takes him a few days to get back to him, but he gets back to his boat and he can’t go back in time. So he’s left to live in the world of DMC2, which is still a world that just started, and he must find his own way to build up his boat. And once he does, he’s able to find a boat to jump on. You can see that in the game.
- Dante’s Quest - How the game actually plays
- So the game itself is basically a story of a man trying to get revenge for what he perceives to be a bad game in the series. The game starts with him being summoned by the king of the sea, and his first steps are to take the boat that he has built and into the water. He is able to

- ~!~What is the best OST of the generation?
- Stalker: With so many great albums out releasing every year, what is the best OST of the generation?
- The series has a lot of great albums released over the years, so I'm just gonna make a separate thread for the "best" OST of the generation.
- This one is very specific.
- I'm happy to say that the actual best OST has come from albums released on the PS2, Xbox, and Wii. I think it's a good example of how the PS2 was a gateway to a completely new level of sound, and how OSTs can be a great tool for fans.
- -----
- Mekanos: Yeah, ive been playing through this for a few weeks now and I think the best OSTs of the generation are the ones that came with the disc.
- They're so fucking good.
- Also the list is insane, it's pretty much every major PS2, 360, and Wii game.

- ~!~Who is your most played character in the Smash Bros series?
- Lant_War: I'm not talking about the systems here. I'm talking about the types of characters you've played in the Smash Bros series, and what strategies they've used to achieve that would be most popular among casual players.
- For me, I'm the most played character of that series, and by the end of the game, I'm playing as someone who has played every Smash Bros game, and that's the least popular character I've played. When I'm playing as a character, I'm playing as a character I've played many times, and as a player I'm playing as someone I've played every single one of the games. I have played as a character since Brawl, and by the end of the game, I'm playing as someone who has played every single game, and that's the least popular character I've played.
- I'm also playing with a friend on Switch, and for the longest time I've never played with a character that I'd play with. I've played a lot of characters on my own, and I've played with friends on a lot of other platforms as well.
- So, who do you think is your most played character in the Smash Bros series? Or is it just me?
- -----
- AgentOtaku: Ryu
- -----
- Lant_War: Ryu
- -----
- Lashley: Ken
- -----
- fluffydelusions: 'Smash'
- -----
- Lant_War: Yeah, it's fun.
- -----
- AgentOtaku: That's what I'm saying
- -----
- AegonSnake: I played the most in smash 64 for the first time
- -----
- Lant_War: I play as a character for the longest time

- ~!~Is there a definitive Way to Get Mediocrity with the Wii or Gamecube?
- IceDoesntHelp: Can only play the Wii, Wii U, and Gamecube versions.
- I'm a total sucker for video games, but I haven't gotten around to playing the Gamecube version.
- So I'm curious what the definitive way is to get it through-
- I'm on the DS/3DS and I've recently learned that you can get it on Gamecube if you own a Nintendo DS or 3DS. It's not really a big deal, but I'm just wondering if there's a good way to get it through?
- I'm playing mostly on handheld mode, but I'm also playing on the Wii.
- -----
- Silvergun-Blue: I think that Wii is the definitive.
- -----
- IceDoesntHelp: It's not really. But I found that I can get the Gamecube version through the Gameboy Advance version, but I've never had a Wii or Gamecube version. It's not that difficult to get it through.
- -----
- NSA: There’s no way to get it online.
- -----
- Falchion: You can get it online via Gamecube, but it's not really a definitive way to get it online. Just download a game disc and play it through Gamecube.
- -----
- IceDoesntHelp: I tried that.
- -----
- Certinfy: Gamecube version is 100% the definitive way. There's no way to get it online.
- -----
- Genex: Gamecube version.

- IceDoesntHelp: I am a sucker for video games. I've never played the Wii version before and I plan on doing so sometime in the future.

- BouncyFrag: If you want to get the Gamecube version, you can get it online with Gamecube.

- ~!~Capcom is working on a new game called Dreams
- Lelouch0612: This is quite possibly the most impressive announcement I've seen from a game in a long time.
- This announcement comes from a game that is currently in development.
- Capcom has the 'minor' development of Dreams.
- It's quite possibly the most impressive announcement I've seen from a game in a long time.
- That's not to say that this announcement goes against the game's premise, so I don't want to speculate on the game's future.
- Capcom's 'minor development' is certainly not a coincidence.
- The game is in development, and is in development for quite some time.
- It's quite possibly the most impressive announcement I've seen from a game in a long time.
- This is not to say that this announcement goes against the game's premise, but i don't want to speculate on the game's future.
- The game is in development, and is in development for quite some time
- I'm not saying that this announcement goes against the game's premise, but rather that this announcement goes from being a surprise to a completely unexpected announcement.
- Capcom has the 'minor development' of Dreams.
- This announcement comes from a game that is currently in development.

- Mandos: Probably 2020
- -----
- Bits N Pieces: I think it's 2020? I don't know the precise date, but I think 2018 was the last year of Dreams.
- -----
- Gundam: I think it's 2020.
- -----
- Mekanos: I think 2018 was the last year of Dreams
- -----
- Wagram: They're not gonna announce Dreams 2020, they're gonna announce Dreams 2021.

- Mekanos: I think so, but when Dreams is released it'll be 2021.

- ~!~The Next Destiny ‘Infiltration’
- Eylos: Well before the break, hopefully, we saw some footage of the new Destiny first-person shooter. That was actually the game I'm most excited for.
- Do we know a lot of the details for this game?
- -----
- Ghos: When?
- -----
- Jarod McChicken: A thread about Destiny 1 and 2?
- -----
- Nintenleo: I think a new Destiny is always a good idea.
- -----
- Panou: I’m pretty sure they’re going to be adding on or expanding new areas to the game, but that’s all I’m really looking forward to.
- -----
- Lant_War: I'm to be very disappointed if they don't have any sort of new areas. They're basically expansions for the campaign.
- -----
- Hektor: i'm 100% excited for this
- -----
- Chandler: "The next Destiny is coming soon"
- -----
- modiz: really excited for that Destiny 2
- -----
- Hektor: I'm surprised that they didn't announce it before release

- ~!~G-Sync monitors are getting some serious attention from Asus
- Dusk Golem: So we've had quite a few reports about Asus' new g-sync monitor, but nothing about the game itself.
- Now there were some reports about G-Sync monitors being sold on Amazon during the last week of October (there was still a thread on the subject in the G-Sync thread), but none of that really focused on the game itself.
- I guess there's a thing I'm not sure about, but I'm curious.
- -----
- Dusk Golem: Why would it need g-sync and not HDMI?
- -----
- Platy: Wait, what?
- -----
- Dusk Golem: I mean...
- -----
- Plumpbiscuit: I wonder if it will have a battery life comparable to the base G-Sync. I'd be extremely curious to see if it runs at 60fps, but I don't have a monitor that can connect to my TV.
- -----
- Dusk Golem: Oh yeah, I'm curious.
- -----
- Plumpbiscuit: I don't think so. The game runs pretty well at 60fps.
- -----
- G_Shao Kahn: This is one of the most disappointing things I've seen in the last few weeks.
- -----
- Dusk Golem: It's not going to run at 60fps, it'll be at 30fps.
- -----
- Dusk Golem: Yeah, I'm sorry, but I don't think that's a good thing.

- ~!~It's part of Nintendo's post-Gamecube success, and you think you can make a video game using its platforming mechanics
- Operationgamer17: We've been talking about Nintendo's post-Gamecube success, and the way they have been able to capitalize on it.
- Recently, Nintendo's president and chief of staff, Tatsumi Kimishima, announced that they went the first step to create a video game using its platforming mechanics.
- In a recent interview, Kimishima said that he and his team were working with Nintendo on a platformer that is built around platforming and platforming elements.
- The game revolves around a platformer that is designed to be played in the slowest pace possible, using a different analog stick and platforming mechanics to make it fun.
- It looks like a really fun game, and in some ways you can imagine it could be even more fun than the Wii before it.
- The game is also set in a strange world, with Link and Ganondorf's fight being basically platforming through a platforming puzzle.
- The game doesn't have a visual style like the Wii, but the game clearly uses the Wii stick for platforming.
- So what do you think of Nintendo's post-gamecube success?
- -----
- Zalman: I dunno, it's a really good thing for Nintendo to finally make a game using the Nintendo platform.
- -----
- Mory Dunz: as a Nintendo fan, I was happy that they didn't make a Wii game.
- -----
- Geg: I love it.
- -----
- ArmGunar: The Wii's existence was the biggest selling point for me, I loved the Wii's platforming and it had that Nintendo-ness to it.
- -----
- Toumari: It was a good thing for Nintendo.
- -----
- JusDoIt: Seriously, I think it's a good thing. Nintendo is a company with a long history of having an on-going game-making studio that can make games that are always in motion.
- -----
- Nacho Papi: It was a good thing.
- -----
- Toumari: ... is it?
- -----
- Coolduderedux: I love it.
- -----

- ~!~I really love the GBA. Is anyone else enjoying it?
- Wololo: I was thinking about this a bit after posting a little bit of an opinion about the GBA. It was my first handheld system and I loved the system but as I got older it became a huge part of my gaming experience. It's become a staple for me and I really enjoy playing games on my new handheld.
- Now it's been a few years since I played a GBA, and I've been wanting to get a GBA again. I've been wondering if there's any other good games on there that would be enjoyable to play on it.

- ~!~[PC] Steam Spy - Native 4.1.1
- NotLiquid: I can't say I've seen this done before, but I've heard that it works well.
- What's the download link?
- It's an unofficial patch that fixes some bugs, but it's very functional.
- -----
- Kenzodielocke: I'm glad it's working, but I haven't seen it mentioned in a thread about it.
- -----
- NotLiquid: I've seen this mentioned in a thread about it.
- -----
- BronsonLee: I read that as "Android supports native 4.1" and that's it.
- -----
- Lelouch0612: Hopefully the steam version is patched.
- -----
- NotLiquid: I read that as "Android support" and that's it.
- -----
- Waddle Dee: I'd love to see this ported to PC.
- -----
- Wackamole: There we go.
- -----
- Kenzodielocke: I read that as "Android support" and that's it.

- ~!~RTTP: Long War II: Battle of Valcarta
- LuigiV: And I actually bought this game 2 months ago.
- I know this is a long thread but I really liked the game and thought I might share it here.
- I was playing a lot of the last game and it always seemed that the map design was so simple and mindless that it made the whole game feel like a chore. There was a lot of little things going on in that game that didn't feel at all as designed for the game.
- At one point I went back and played a few hours of the old game and just wanted to know what happened. I wasn't able to get my hands on the map, and I didn't have the map yet, so maybe I should just play it again.
- I was really excited about the expansion, and it was really nice to see more of the map. I really liked the maps in the expansions, and it was just fun to see how many characters there were. I wanted to remember how many weapons the main party had, and how many building locations the party had. It was really cool to see more of the map.
- I didn't really like the combat. I really liked the lack of any sort of defense, specifically the spear, which would only make the game less enjoyable. It was really annoying when you had no way of controlling any characters. I really did like the weapon system, but I wanted to play with a 2D model instead. It was good to see a 2D map of the map, but it just felt so empty.
- I remember that I never really completed the game, so I didn't know what kind of game this game was. I was playing it on PS3, but I never really knew what I was looking for. I don't think I ever finished the game, so I never really completed it (until the expansion).
- I remember that I never really finished the game. So I asked a friend to play one of the expansions. He said that he played it on PS3, but he never played the expansion. I never really realized how much of a waste it was. It was something I didn't realize anything about until I played through the expansion and first dungeon.
- I remember a lot of stuff about the game.
- - I remember that the map that was made for the expansion was near the end of the game, and that it had some stuff going on that
- ====================
- ~!~KKK 2018 - How do you feel about klaru's development?
- sir_crocodile: I’ve watched a bunch of streamers play the game and I was really impressed by how it all plays out. In my opinion, it’s the best KK game since the first one.
- I’ve also played a bit of The Witcher 3 and I’m not sure if it’s a good game to play as a KK fan.
- -----
- stumblebee: It's best game in the series.
- -----
- Khanimus: I loved the expansion and I really enjoyed playing through it.
- -----
- Jintor: I am very much in the same boat. I feel like it's the best thing ever and it's earned my respect and respect.
- -----
- TheInfinityGauntlet: Fantastic game, I agree with you
- -----
- Bold One: I don't really think it's bad, but it's not my favorite game.
- I think Forza Horizon 4 is totally fine, but that's probably because I'm a non-Player and that's where I'm at.
- -----
- Zeranium: I can't think of a game I played in 2018 that I played all year. I probably wouldn't really be in 2016 but that's a big thing.
- -----
- Theorry: I think it's fine. It's not bad, but I feel like it is one of the worst games ever made and has some of the worst settings.
- -----
- mazi: i liked it a lot but i still don't agree with everything you said because it's not really a good game, i'd like to change that.
- -----
- LonestarZues: It isn't my favorite game, but I agree with you. I liked it a lot and I think it's a good game.

- ~!~Celeste will have a 30+ hour free weekend
- BadWolf: As you can see it will not be the same game in the same amount of hours.
- For those who pre-ordered it, they were able to get a free weekend pass for 30 hours on the first weekend.
- It's a great thing that the game is getting a free weekend pass because it gives us a chance to play the game again, and the free weekend also gives us the chance to play the game in a shorter amount of time, which means that we will have a chance to play the game again.
- -----
- Beatrix: Can't wait!
- -----
- Liam1884: Well deserved.
- -----
- WhoaIsThatMars: That's something.
- -----
- Dusk Golem: That's nice.
- -----
- Dawson: I can't believe they're even adding a 30 minute free weekend pass to E3.
- -----
- badcrumble: I'm sure you can get a free weekend pass for 30 minutes on the weekend, but I wonder if that's just because you're in the same hotel?
- -----
- Jarod McChicken: Well deserved.
- -----
- The Last One: What a great idea.
- -----
- scare_crow: That's something.

- ~!~I’m playing an onscreen game at my local library
- TheBored23: I’m playing a game at my local library and it seems to be a game that is $10 on the eShop on my Switch.
- I know a lot of people love Pokemon games, but this game is so good I might as well play it.
- -----
- TheBored23: Wow, you're saying that it plays like a game but has a different art style?
- -----
- Windrunner: I just signed up to play Pokemon Red and Blue on the Switch, but it wasn’t until right after I bought it that I realized I didn’t get the game until the day it was announced.
- -----
- TheBored23: So it's not a game that works, but looks like a game that plays like a game.
- -----
- Brock Reiher: I'm already a big fan of Pokemon games, but in the meantime I'm playing on a handheld and I'm having a blast.
- -----
- TheBored23: Yeah, I'm on the Switch atm.
- -----
- TheBored23: I just checked my eShop account and it doesn't say that I actually own Pokemon, but what i'm seeing is that people who have an active account have the game on their Switch, and that includes people who have the game online on their Switch.
- -----
- Windrunner: I just checked the eShop.
- -----
- TheBored23: I tried a few times to get the game on my Switch, but I'm now sure that this game doesn't work either.
- -----
- Brock Reiher: I have a Switch and the game works perfectly fine.

- ~!~Black Ops 4 PC performance patch notes - Gamepass or PS4?
- Deepthoughtt: So I was listening to the Gamepass performance patch notes and noticed something I hadn't noticed for a long time.
- For the past few weeks, the game has been receiving performance patches (they're not the ones you get on your PC, but only ones that you can access by logging in) from the Xbox One Store (and some of the other platforms) or PlayStation 4. I'm aware that this is mostly for performance upgrades, but it's something I've noticed that is specifically related to the PS4 Pro's recent patch.
- I'm not going to find a ton of details about the performance patch, but there's a few few points I'm curious about.
- When they first announced the PS4 Pro, they said this was the first one to be updated to use the new CPU architecture. It was pretty obvious that the improvements would be coming from the new CPUs, since the PS4 Pro had a faster CPU than the Pro, but when I looked at the patch notes, I couldn't think of a single performance patch that I noticed.
- I was curious because I've noticed a lot of the performance patches for the PS4 coming from Xbox One and PS4, and I'm curious whether this is related to the PS4 Pro being an upgrade over the PS4 Pro. I'm also curious about the performance upgrade.
- I'm also curious about the performance upgrade.
- Another thing I noticed was that there were a couple of times when the PS4 Pro was upgraded. For example, at one point there was a PS4 update that was supposedly a performance patch. It was impossible to tell if there was any performance upgrade. At that point, the ps4 Pro just over-upgraded, and the PS4 Pro actually became faster.
- This seems to be related to the performance upgrades, though there are a couple of things I'm curious about.
- I'm curious how they will be using performance patches for the PS4, and if they will be able to get this to work for both PC and console.
- -----
- Cartridge Games: What does the performance patch mean?
- -----
- Derachi: I think it's a performance patch for performance only.
- -----
- Masterspeed: That's good. I would expect that to be the case for all PS4 Pro related games as well. Good job with both of you, OP.
- ====================
- ~!~Ps1 games that were made by the same team
- Chromie: Okay, I know I'm not the most qualified to identify why, but I'm curious as to why Ps1 games that weren't made by the same team (i.e. Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica, etc.) were made by the same people that made the games they were making.
- I know that Sony Santa Monica is one of the biggest studios in the world, but does Sony Santa Monica make the games they make?
- Any examples of games being made by two people who worked on a single game?
- -----
- Spinky: I was working on a game called Firepower and Steve Jobs made a game called Firepower in the same way that Sony made their first game.
- I think that's a good point to make.
- -----
- Silky: Apple bringing their own games to the platform
- -----
- YuriCloud3: That's a weird and nostalgic thing to say.
- -----
- Triscuitable: I'm pretty sure that's a pretty common take.
- -----
- Wonderment: Nintendo made Metroid Prime, and they all have Metroid Prime 2.
- -----
- Mauricio_Magus: I think this is flat out a big part of why Nintendo was the original developers of the game.
- -----
- Starlatine: Sure it's not like the people making games are from Sony or MS.
- -----
- Phendrift: I was working on a game called Castlevania Curse of Darkness, which was made by two people who worked on a single game.
- -----
- WrenchNinja: I mean they're making a sequel to the original Castlevania, which was developed by two people who worked on a single game.
- -----
- ====================
- ~!~So I’m playing my PS4 Pro on the PS4 Pro. Is it playable?
- Vaelic: I’m playing my PS4 Pro on the PS4 Pro. Is it playable?
- -----
- Kain-Nosgoth: yes
- -----
- Halfling: It's playable.
- -----
- adj_noun: It's the same for PS4.
- -----
- Dancrane212: Yes, it is.
- -----
- EvilChameleon: Yes it is.
- -----
- Kain-Nosgoth: yea
- -----
- Kain-Nosgoth: I like the look of the PS4 Pro, but I think it looks better with a bigger screen and is more stable.
- -----
- Kain-Nosgoth: I’m playing on PC too. It looks good.
- -----
- ====================
- ~!~What's the best way to play a Gears game?
- Pikagreg: I'm trying to find a game that I can play without having to get a Gears account in order to play the game. It's been 2 years since I've owned a Gears account, so I know that I'll have a lot of games installed for the Gears game, so I can play them with my Gears account, but I can't play them with my OG account because I have to upgrade to Gears 4 (and presumably Gears 6) which significantly reduces my download.
- So my question is, what's the best way to play a Gears game? If a game is an action game, or a fighting game, what is the best way to play it?
- -----
- Pikagreg: I can play it with a Gears account but I can't play with a Gears account because I have to upgrade to Gears 4.
- -----
- Heartskips: I just got a PS4 Pro and thought I'd share my thoughts on this.
- -----
- Kokonoe: Have you played Gears 4?
- -----
- FaultyPencil: Play with a Gears account.
- -----
- Forkball: I’m in the middle of Gears 4 and I’m ready to go back to Gears 4.
- -----
- Pikagreg: I play with a Gears account on an Xbox.
- -----
- texhnolyze: I just play it with a Gears account.
- -----
- Tiamat: What about a Gears 4?
- -----

- ~!~'Halloween' [PS4] Announced
- Zippo: Just announced at the PS4 sales thread.
- The game will be called "Halloween".
- -----
- KoolAid: Lol that's....tempting.
- -----
- LegendofLex: I'm so hyped.
- -----
- TheBaldEmperor: I love Halloween! I can't wait to get my hands on this game.
- -----
- Ge0force: That's not...a Halloween game?
- -----
- SofNascimento: This is a game about sex and being drunk, and it's gonna be awesome.
- -----
- Nemesis162: Jesus, that's not even a release date lol
- -----
- chandoog: I'm still waiting on a PS4 version.
- -----
- KoolAid: So, I guess it's not exactly a Halloween game.
- -----
- Zippo: Oh, I'm so ready!
- -----

- ~!~New Super Mario Bros. U. Switch port has been announced
- Hero of Legend: In case you can't wait to see the trailer:
- -----
- ASleepingMonkey: Oh god, what a disappointment.
- -----
- JigglesBunny: Great news.
- -----
- OnionPowder: This is going to be a Metroidvania masterpiece.
- -----
- SofNascimento:
- -----
- HandsomeCharles: I really hope they'll actually make the game original.
- -----
- Tizoc: The game with the worst soundtrack ever.
- -----
- KamikazekoR: Uh, I was really hoping they'd make a Metroidvania where the enemies didn't actually have a purpose, but they got me.
- -----
- Jazzem: I don't think that's a good port.
- -----
- Deleted member 11093: I’m glad they decided to make a Metroidvania. Oh well.

- ~!~First gameplay of Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu, Eevee, Pikachu & Eevee
- Nirolak: This is a bit of a missed opportunity, seeing as the Pokemon Let's Go game is only a few months away.
- It's clear that the game has a lot of promise in terms of gameplay, so I actually like how this game looks.
- -----
- LewieP: That trailer looks like some of the best looking Pokemon I've seen in a while.
- -----
- KoolAid: I need to pick up a Pokemon game.
- -----
- daxy: A new Pokemon game doesn't need that much hype, especially when you have that old Pokemon and the new one is just pokemon.
- -----
- PurgeJuls: Pokemon Let's Go is the Pokemon you wanted to see in 2019 so that's understandable.
- Also I wasn't expecting that to be good.
- -----
- KoolAid: I am talking about the game that has been out for a few years.
- -----
- Nirolak: It's obviously been a few years since the last year of Pokemon, but it looks like there's still some early information that we're getting.
- -----
- KoolAid: That trailer was pretty good.
- -----
- Lami: I really like how some of the characters look like Pokemon.
- -----
- sambills: I'll need a pokemon game for this

- jbug617: If I play the game, I do believe in God of War though.
- The game is so fucking amazing and I love the fact that it's a PS exclusive and I have faith in God of War.
- I love God of War, but I feel it's impossible to believe in God of War, because the game seems so goddamn...unrealistic?
- -----
- Masterspeed: It's a lot of fun, but the characters are so bland that it's not THAT surprising.
- -----
- Cess007: Interesting, but there are a few moments I feel like we can say with confidence that it's not really that good.
- -----
- TheDinoman: Kenji Hirabayashi and the game are awesome.
- -----
- Memento: It's not that bad of a game.
- -----
- Zukuu: I'm a big fan of the PS2 games, but it's not really that terrible of a game.
- -----
- TheDanimal: I really like the game, plenty of memorable moments
- -----
- Jawbreaker: This is the same problem AFAIK.
- -----
- Dekim: I've been playing God of War on the PS4 for years and it seems like a really great game. I don't want to play it again, but I'm fine with it. Maybe it'll be the only time I'll ever experience it.

- ~!~Dead Cells and Dead Cells 2 announced for Switch
- L.O.R.D: Dead Cells 2 is a 3D action RPG starring the crew that make Dead Cells.
- Dead Cells 2 will release on Switch in September 2018.
- -----
- lvl 99 Pixel: I have to say I'm excited for this.
- -----
- Carolina Reaper: Looking forward to this.
- -----
- Sparks: I'm pretty hyped. I still think Dead Cells would have been a better game if it wasn't for this.
- -----
- L.O.R.D: You just do what you want in a dead cells game.
- -----
- RevengeTaken: I really like Dead Cells. I'm hyped for this.
- -----
- L.O.R.D: I'm kinda hyped for Dead Cells 2.
- -----
- L.O.R.D: It's dead?
- -----
- Squiddo ᔦꙬᔨ: Yes! You can play Dead Cells on Switch in the West!
- -----
- L.O.R.D: I hope that they don't release a port of Dead Cells this year, I hope that is the case

- ~!~New Tales of Symphonia interview
- Sansfort: A lot of the Tales fans here played a part in the original Tales of Symphonia so it might be difficult to find a bit of a transcript here.
- Thanks to @Mitsurugi for the translation.
- -----
- Chie Satonaka91: Yeah I agree with the way he seems to be talking about new Tales games, but I would welcome more people to check out the interview.
- -----
- BubbleButt64: There's this interview on the website, and it is from a while ago:
- So I'm guessing this is from a later interview, or in the interview itself.
- -----
- Sansfort: This is from a month ago, and the interview is also worth a read:
- -----
- Chie Satonaka91: Yeah, I think that's the one that got me interested in Tales. I still haven't played the full game, but I'd be interested to hear more on it.
- -----
- Chie Satonaka91: Thanks. I'm always interested in Tales games so this is interesting.
- -----
- BubbleButt64: I'm curious about the interview since there's a lot of stuff in there, but it's no surprise that this is the kind of thing that gets discussed in the past.
- -----
- Soony Xbone Uhh: I guess it's kinda up to the Tales fans to judge and decide whether they want to play the full game or not?
- -----

- ~!~What is the best microphone for a new console?
- jbug617: I think it would be the Switch's. First off, it is easy to tell which audio device is which unless you look at the headphone jack on the console. So I am just going to stick to my Switch and use the mic to listen to the music. But what about the microphone in the Switch itself? Does it work on the Switch as well?
- -----
- Soriku: The Switch is the best option, I'd go with the Switch Pro.
- -----
- Serebii: The switch pro is super comfortable and can be used with a mic.
- -----
- Iyagovos: The switch pro is great.
- -----
- Frecklestein: The headset works perfectly with the Switch as the system's main mic.
- It works with the Switch itself too
- -----
- Bucket: I use my PS4 Pro with my normal microphone when I'm playing, and I've heard good things about the mic in the Switch itself.
- The Switch Pro is also very comfortable and I'm not sure it's as comfortable as the Switch itself. I'd suggest a Sony mic in the headset, as it can help with head tracking and supports different volume levels for different music.
- -----
- Hieroph: The Switch Pro is great, but any other headset would work.
- -----
- Kokonoe: Can't say I'm sure either, but the Switch Pro is great.
- -----
- Brock Reiher: The Switch Pro is great.
- -----
- Vincent Grayson: The Switch Pro is great.

- ~!~Gang Beasts (PS4/Steam) is a game that actually looks great
- SweetSark: I've been playing Gang Beasts this past weekend and I'm with you guys on this. The game is a truly amazing game that looks fantastic.
- For me, it looks like it's a really interesting take on the game. The music, world, the characters, the characters, the environments all look fantastic.
- I've been reading some threads about Gang Beasts lately, so I'm curious what anyone else has seen.
- -----
- Laser Man: That being said, I honestly don't know if it does exactly what Gang Beasts is asking for, but it's a good take on the genre.
- -----
- Cocolina: I'm happy that I'm not the only one who really enjoyed Gang Beasts, and I'm glad I'm not the only one.
- -----
- Ganado: I thought Gang Beasts was a good game
- -----
- Gleethor: I'm surprised it hasn't been ported on other platforms, it's on Steam as well.
- -----
- Dyle: Gang Beasts is an incredible game, and its a great game to try out if you're looking for an open world sandbox game.
- -----
- Comrade Crunch: Ah, I didn't realize that it was a thing.
- -----
- BrickArts295: I've played Gang Beasts on PS4, but never since it came out on PC. Glad it's well-loved on Steam.
- -----
- SweetSark: I think I saw it on the list of things I couldn't play on PC. I'm guessing it's actually a sequel to the first game.
- -----
- SweetSark: I thought that was a thread about it.

- ~!~What are the great exclusives on Switch?
- wafflebrain: I just bought my first Nintendo console and while I've enjoyed stuff like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, I don't really have any interest in anything more than Mario Party.
- I know I'm not the biggest fan of Paper Mario as a series, but I've never had any interest in any other series.
- Any other great games?
- -----
- oneida: Castlevania Symphony of the Night
- -----
- Mr.Deadshot: Probably the best Castlevania ever.
- -----
- Kyoufu: I really like Castlevania and the original Castlevania games and I loved the original games.
- -----
- Zukuu: The original Castlevania is my favorite ever and I've been playing it on a few occasions.
- I think the Castlevania games are pretty good too, but I'm not expecting many.
- -----
- Mr.Deadshot: I enjoyed the original Castlevania games, but the enhanced remaster is probably the best.
- -----
- Kyoufu: I still prefer the original Castlevania and enjoyed the original Castlevania, but the enhanced remaster is really good.
- -----
- Wafflebrain: I would say the original Castlevania games are pretty good, or at least good enough to warrant a buy.
- -----
- Bhonar: Since the Castlevania games are on PS4/Win10, I have to say I'm not sure what to expect from them.
- -----
- Charismagik: Castlevania.
- -----
- Wafflebrain: The original Castlevania was great, but it was also a more traditional Castlevania since you're mostly talking about the Castlevania games. Also, I think the original Castlevania games are pretty good too.

- ~!~GOG's great online free-to-play PES GO is now available
- LordKano: Just downloaded it this afternoon.
- I'm not sure how long it will be available, but I would say it's good for the game.
- -----
- Vampire Chicken: I've always wanted to play this but I'm not sure how long it will be available on GOG.
- -----
- Frecklestein: Sounds like the perfect time to grab a copy.
- -----
- Gegz: I get my money for free, and I'm glad the game is getting a little more mature.
- -----
- Theswweet: Great game. But I'm going to wait to see how the servers handle it.
- -----
- Kenwisher: It's a fun game, but I can't wait to play it later this year.
- -----
- Phantom Thief: I'm also interested in playing this.
- -----

- ~!~Touhou Project: Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Tour de France 2018 announced
- Hero of Legend: I don't get why they don't have a trailer for it, but I'm interested to see what the gameplay is like.
- -----
- Mbolibombo: They're showing it at the show, so it's not too bad, but I'd go with the demo.
- -----
- Cartridge Games: I really hope it's good
- -----
- Dany1899: Hopefully the demo will be more of a scale model than a full-blown demo. I'm looking forward to the demo.
- -----
- Dany1899: I think it's really great that they have gone for that level design. The levels are really detailed, and the music really nail the atmosphere.
- -----
- Hero of Legend: It's a good demo for the demo, so yeah, is it good?
- The demo is $19.99, and I know they have some extra content in the game, so I pray that's available separately.
- -----
- Dany1899: Huh. That looks great, I hope it's better than the demo.
- -----
- Holygriever: One of my favorite games.
- -----
- Elven_Star: I'm curious about the demo's structure and what it's based on.
- -----

- ~!~Lol you played on a PS4, you can't play on the PS5
- Telpis: So, I'm not going to say that the PS5 is boring and the PS4 is a great game.
- On the other hand, it's weird you can't play on the PS4.
- I'm talking about the main reason why you can't play on the PS5.
- Because the PS4 was rereleased on a PS3 and hasn't been rereleased on a PS5.
- Now, you can't play on the PS4, why would you?
- Because you can't play on the PS5.
- Because the PS5 is a good game.
- Why would you do that?
- Because it's a good game.
- I'm not talking about the PS5, I'm talking about the PS4, PS5, and PS6.
- Let's take it back.
- -----
- Couscous: The PS4 Pro is not a good PS5.
- -----
- Bundy: PS5 is the best.
- -----
- Nax: I understand that. But I don't understand why people say they can't play on PS5.
- -----
- Chrono: Because they're a different kind of console.
- -----
- jett: OP, so PS5 is the best.
- -----
- Telpis: PS5 is definitely better than PS4.
- -----
- Glio: That seems to be the point.
- -----
- Telpis: Oh yeah, I was thinking of the PS5
- -----
- JusDoIt: Because the ps4 was rereleased on a PS3, so that's not the point.

- ~!~Fallout 76 PS4 Pro Review Thread
- Panda Attack: Update: Review Thread
- Preview:
- -----
- UnluckyKate: That's awesome. I think this is the first game I would use it on with a 1080p TV when it releases, but I can't imagine it working with consoles that are not compatible with this.
- -----
- Krejlooc: That's great. I think it would be cool to have a PC version with a 1080p TV.
- -----
- ItWasMeantToBe19: I can't imagine it being a good thing.
- -----
- dragonbane: They're definitely not doing it for the sake of it, though I guess they're not looking to get accolades for their games.
- -----
- Vilmin: That's great. I should really get that.
- -----
- GUNDAM STARDUST: I had no idea this existed. I'm not buying the game until I'm ready to play.
- -----
- Krejlooc: I'm not sure how much of that will be changed in the update but I think it is a good thing. Not that it hurts but it is nice to have the ability to play the game with a pro without having to buy a console.
- -----
- HeisenbergWW62: I have no doubt this will be the next game to come out
- -----

- ~!~What's the best way to play next generation hardware
- HylianSeven: I'm not sure about the hardware, but I'm curious if anyone has any good suggestions.
- -----
- HylianSeven: I'm sure i'll get some suggestions.
- -----
- LewieP: While you could always apply the hardware to the hardware with a mod, i would suggest using a mod editor to make the hardware more popular and more powerful.
- -----
- HylianSeven: "If you don't know what it is, read this:
- It's a mod for the first two consoles (PS2 and PS3). If you're not familiar with it, you can check it out here:
- -----
- HylianSeven: I know I'm not the best at making mods, but I wanted to make something that was somewhat accessible to new people that haven't used the hardware to begin with.
- So, not too long ago, you could make a mod for a PS4, then a PS5, then a PS6, then a PS7.
- That's just not enough to make the hardware cheap, but if you can make the hardware work for you, then you can make it more accessible.
- -----

- ~!~Will there ever be an actual PS4 Pro collection?
- Memento: I'm curious if there will ever be an actual PS4 Pro collection.
- Even if it's just a collection of PS1 games.
- -----
- Toumari: How would you even know if there's an actual collection?
- -----
- Dusk Golem: I believe it's a limited run of PS1 games that can be played on it now, but that doesn't mean there's no collection.
- -----
- Carolina Reaper: I think there'll be a PS4 Pro collection with a lot of PS3 titles and PS2 games.
- -----
- srtrestre: I like it when a game has been ported to the PS4, I like it when someone is ported to the PS4 and vice versa.
- -----
- SlipperyMoose: Not a chance.
- -----
- Gobias-Ind: The only true PS4 Pro collection would be the PS2 classic collection.
- -----
- Dusk Golem: Not really.
- -----
- Tharsis: I mean, there's some games that were released on PS2 that were also on the PS3 and the PS4, so that's not really an option, it's just a list of games that would fit well with the PS4.
- -----
- ====================
- ~!~Are there any top 10 games of all time on Switch?
- Usyren: I'm a huge fan of the NES and N64 games, so I'm interested in seeing which games from the list of top 10 games of all time are on Switch. Are there any games from the list of most played on Switch that I should know about?
- -----
- Usyren: I would like to see how the list is done. I do know that there are rules on the list, but I need to know them.
- -----
- BronsonLee: Not to mention the list of articles about all these games.
- -----
- Usyren: I don't think there are rules on the list, but I want to know the list of games.
- -----
- Kyoufu: Of course that list will become more complete as time goes on.
- -----
- Kyoufu: There are so many games from the list.
- -----
- JB1981: Thats not a list of games, but a list of games from the list of all time.
- -----
- TheBaldfied: Anything from the list of top 10 games would be a list of games from the top 10 games.
- -----
- BronsonLee: Also, I don't think there's a list on the list of most played games.
- -----
- Riversands: In the list of best games, that's the list of the most played games.
- -----
- ====================
- ~!~What is the most commonly-used game in the series?
- Nirolak: I don't know about the general consensus, but I'm curious to see what people think on what games are commonly used in the series.
- -----
- Kyoufu: Because it's the most frequently used game in the series.
- -----
- Slayven: Because it's the most common game.
- -----
- julian: Not sure why I think that, but that is a good point to make.
- -----
- kennyamr: Because it's the most popular.
- -----
- enkaisu: Because it's the most popular.
- -----
- Rodjer: Because it's the most popular.
- -----
- Lelouch0612: Because it's the most widely used.
- -----
- Razgriz417: Because it's the most commonly used.
- -----
- Heckler456: Because it's the most popular.

- ~!~Donkey Kong Country Trilogy finally released on Steam: $20.00 USD
- Theorry:
- -----
- The Poochy Kid: Smaller than a dollar, this is the DLC for a whopping $40.00 USD price!
- -----
- Memento: I'm down for this.
- -----
- Aigis: That price is pretty good.
- -----
- Ionic: They are a little late with DLC. And it's not even that the Trilogy was not the biggest expansion ever.
- -----
- Lichtsang: The price is a bit steep, but I'm glad it's available now
- -----
- Lichtsang: I suppose it has to be the DLC for the first game.
- -----
- Jonneh: I want to get it on Switch, but I can't justify the price.
- -----
- Disclaimer: Bought it in December and think it's worth it.
- -----
- Bufbaf: $20 for the DLC and $20 for the game?
- -----
- ====================
- ~!~Grads, what are your favorite games?
- Res: I have been playing while it's on sale and I'm surprised to see that it's $20 on the eShop. I know there are some games that are $30 but what are your favorite games?
- -----
- melodiousmowl: I love a lot of games that are 30€, and I think it's worth noting that I only play an hour - that's about 30% of the game.
- -----
- Rurouni: I have to say, I love Commander Keen 2 on Steam, and I think it's fun.
- -----
- DocSeuss: The Grand Theft Auto style Casablanca.
- -----
- Rurouni: Yeah, I have never played it before, but it's good.
- -----
- Nights: I'm surprised no one else has played a Grand Theft Auto: Vice City thing.
- -----
- Dr. Mario: Assassin's Creed Origins, Biomutant, The Witcher 3, RDR2, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, MGSV, and so on
- -----
- Dyle: I've only played a handful of the Call of Duty series (to the point where I can't play any of them) but I love the first game, it's great fun.
- -----
- Res: I'm not ashamed to admit, I love Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. It's a bit more of a "gimmick" and, you know, I'm not gonna play it, but I loved it.
- -----
- Seven Force: I love the first game. I like the second game.
- -----

- ~!~Red Dead Redemption 2 - Independent (Steam)
- Rodjer:
- -----
- Laserbeam: Rocket League.
- -----
- Kyoufu: Is this a game that has one of the best campaigns of all time?
- -----
- HylianSeven: I would guess that it's not.
- -----
- AshGerhardt: I'm surprised they haven't been adding co-op to the game.
- -----
- Frecklestein: I think it's a good idea if you want to get into the cut scenes.
- -----
- JigglesBunny: The cut scenes are always good.
- -----
- Laserbeam: Yeah, the cutscenes are just so janky.
- -----
- Pringles: That's kinda weird, but I'll take it.
- -----
- Frecklestein: Well, to be fair, I was expecting something more quiet and quiet. I'm definitely going to be enjoying it.
- -----

- ~!~Team Sonic Racing is delisted on Xbox Game Pass this morning, and you can still try it out for free on Game Pass.
- Zippo: So, yeah, you can still try it out for free on Game Pass, and you can still buy the game for $15. It'll be available on Game Pass for a few days (assuming they're still active), and drop on Xbox Game Pass for a few days (assuming they're still active), but it's still available on Game Pass for a few days (assuming they're still active, and you're still able to play it).
- So, if you try it out, you can still try it out for free.
- -----
- Phantom Thief: That's pretty good!
- -----
- Soapbox Killer Returns: Does the game still work?
- -----
- Phantom Thief: The game is on the Game Pass, but during normal mode it's not available on Game Pass anymore.
- -----
- Duxxy3: didn't know about Game Pass.
- -----
- Lashley: That's cool, had to wait a few years for it to be available on Game Pass.
- -----
- Duxxy3: cool
- -----
- Phantom Thief: It actually works on Game Pass?
- -----
- Lashley: Yeah, it does.
- -----
- Lant_War: What's the difference between Game Pass and Game Pass now?
- -----
- IsaacC: I can't stand Sonic and the Secret Rings on Game Pass, but it's still great.

- ~!~Is it possible to play the latest release of a game that’s not out yet?
- StrangerDanger: Been pretty clear on this front. I've been playing the latest version of Final Fantasy XV recently and I feel like I can say the same for many others.
- I was recently playing through a game called Final Fantasy XIV and I recall seeing a few things like this:
- -The game is dated. It didn't really get to the point where it was out until a few months later. What I didn't realize was that even then, the game was actually out by October. So, I believe that the game was only available for a few months before being pushed back to October.
- -The game is completely unpatched. On top of all that, you can't even start a game without getting a refund.
- -The game is completely inaccessible when you start out.
- -The game is completely inaccessible when you start out and you can't even play the game.
- -You can't even open the game.
- -The game has a very weird UI. It's a pretty weird interface to me. There's no way to go back to the game, it's like they're trying to pull a random character from his/her inventory and make it easier to be dis-connected to the game until the next game comes out.
- I've been considering getting the game now to see if it's feasible to do so but not sure if it's worth the time and money to get a refund.
- Any thoughts?
- -----
- Lashley: You can't play the game when you can't start it.

- ~!~A Demon's Souls-like Title.
- The era of Luigi: I've been playing a bit of Demon's Souls on PC, and it's a very charming game. You can easily beat it in one sitting. It's a very fast paced game, and it even has the option to skip boss fights if you want.
- I've never played a Souls game before, but I think I can say that this is a game that shows the potential of a Soulslike title. It's not a Soulslike, but it has an incredibly simple, and easy to understand design philosophy.
- So, what's your take on Demon's Souls?
- -----
- Jiraiya: It's a very good Soulslike. It's a simple game, but very fun to play.
- -----
- DarkLordMalik: I like Demon's Souls more than Souls
- -----
- The era of Luigi: I think it's the first Soulslike I've played and it's also the best Soulslike. The story is more complex than Demon's Souls.
- -----
- Tizoc: Demon’s Souls is the most satisfying Soulslike since D:OS
- -----
- The era of Luigi: My opinion about the game is that it's the one where the concept of the soul itself becomes the game's focus instead of its actual theme.
- -----
- Zacmortar: I guess it's more of a Soulslike than a Soulslike? That's not exactly the same thing as a Soulslike but I think it's the same thing as a Soulslike, after all.
- -----
- Heartskips: I like Demon's Souls more than Souls.
- -----
- The era of Luigi: I'm not saying this is a Soulslike, but I think that the overall concept of the soul itself is more complex than Demon's Souls. Like, it isn't like a Soulslike, but it's the same thing as a Soulslike.
- -----
- leder: I think Demon's Souls is more like a Soulslike, but D:OS is more like Souls, and also has different art. I think that's the right way to go, but I wish they'd stick with the Souls formula.
- -----
- Jiraiya: I really like Demon's Souls more than Souls.

- kennyamr: Agree with the trailer, but I do hope this game retains the same feeling of late.

- Dancrane212: I know that sounds like a good thing, but I wanted to avoid how the game feels from the start.
- -----
- Dancrane212: I'll take it.
- -----
- The-Depth-In-Us: Please don't let the game take away my enjoyment of the game, it's a bad game.

- Dancrane212: I don't really see why they should change the game. I'm not really familiar with the game though.

- ~!~Shame on Microsoft not telling E3 that the Xbox One is a Microsoft product
- Tizoc: So I was reading a tweet and thought I might share.
- -----
- vestan: Huh. So the Xbox One is a Microsoft product.
- -----
- Llyrwenne: I know it's not like EA to take control of a brand and put it on the back burner, but to not tell people that it is a Microsoft product? That is such a weird thing to do.
- -----
- jbug617: I don't think it’s that strange.
- -----
- Coconico: The whole idea was that Microsoft wanted to promote the Xbox brand, but also that Microsoft wanted to make it a PC-focused product.
- I still think that's a little weird.

- BubbleButt64: I always thought it was the end of Melee.
- -----
- DanarchyReigns: Holy shit.

- ~!~HUNDRED Studios is proud to announce Bravely Second for Nintendo Switch
- Xenosaga: Bravely Second will release on Switch and will be released on the 3DS in early 2019.
- -----
- Dark Cloud: Really excited to see what these guys have in store for us.
- -----
- Courage: I'm in the mood for a Bravely Second game. What is a game where a bunch of characters compete against each other in battle arenas to see who can take the most damage?
- -----
- bonesawisready5: It looks like a really fun game.
- -----
- golguin: This is the type of game I want to see more of.
- -----
- The Last One: This is exactly what I wanted in Bravely Second.
- -----
- Dyle: I don't think there's a single reason why they would have it on Switch.
- -----

- ~!~Nintendo Switch - region-locked games coming June 7th
- Hero of Legend: The title is a bit of a reductive thing, but if you want to see the game you need to be able to play the game without having to buy a Nintendo Switch if you want. Also, if you want to play the region-locked version of the game, you need to do the same.
- It's not exactly known yet, but it looks like a portable version of the game, and it's likely to come with its own regions.
- -----
- alr1ght: Already confirmed
- -----
- Hero of Legend: That's what I assumed, so I guess it's gonna be the same as the original version?
- -----
- Hero of Legend: The original release of the game had the same region locked as the Switch version, so I guess that's the problem.
- -----
- Alberto Robert: I doubt the Switch version will have any weird issues with the region-lock, just that it won't be compatible with the Switch version.
- -----
- Blue: I'm assuming this is an exclusive or something, but this is a lot of Switch games.
- -----
- Lite_Agent: I don't think it's exclusive to the Switch version.
- -----
- Hero of Legend: It's an exclusive, unfortunately.
- -----
- Azoor: Are the Switch versions the same version of the PS4 version?
- -----
- Hero of Legend: No, the Switch version is the same version.

- ~!~Odyssey and Dreamcast are getting the same review scores as their respective console versions.
- Deleted member 1258: You know, the one where every review that you can read is written by people who're not even remotely educated on the subject.
- So, in the case of Odyssey, the reviews are from review sites like IGN and GameSpot.
- In the case of Dreamcast, the review scores are from GameSpot, but the reviews are based on reviews from Gamestop (even though they're mostly from review sites that are open to anyone).
- -----
- Zedelima: Please don’t be surprised if Odyssey gets this review scores.
- -----
- jbug617: They don't even review their reviews anymore
- -----
- Saint-14: Good on them for choosing to review their consoles at all.
- -----
- Sedated: Epic getting an OT
- -----
- mclem: I am surprised they haven't had a thread yet.
- -----
- Lashley: E3 2018 will be a good one.
- -----
- Zedelima: Exactly.
- -----
- Deleted member 1258: So... if fans of both consoles had the same review scores, then?

- ~!~Best PC Soundbar?
- King of Dreamland: I’ve been looking for a good PC soundbar for a while, but I’m not a big fan of soundbars. I’m hoping this thread will help me get one.
- I’m looking for a 5.1 soundbar. I know that soundbars don’t work for me but I’m not sure how accurate it is. I don’t know if it will be a permanent replacement for my PS1 soundbar. I’m sure the surround sound bar is great but I’m also not sure if it’s really that good.
- I’ve been using the soundbar on my PS3 and Vita so far, plus the soundbar on my PC PC. I’ve never had problems with soundbars, so I’m looking for something more reliable and reliable than just a soundbar.
- Any suggestions?
- -----
- adj_noun: What's the best soundbar?
- -----
- King of Dreamland: I love the soundbar, but with the PC version I wouldn't go for that.
- -----
- Ruruja: I can go with a single-stage one.
- -----
- Dekim: I'd go with one of the best soundbar options on the market: the Elite.
- As someone who doesn't like soundbars, I've noticed how short and narrow the soundbars can be. I really like the soundbar on the PS3, but I prefer the PS4's to be much smaller.
- -----
- SuperiorTrashTalk: I have a PS3 and Vita, both of which I absolutely adore. I'm not a big fan of speakers, but I also don't feel like I need to change my speakers unless they're in an incredibly loud place.
- -----
- NattyBo: If you're interested in the soundbar, you should go with the PS3 Elite.
- -----
- King of Dreamland: Don't compare it to the PS4, but it does include a headphone jack for the soundbar.
- -----
- Ruruja: Oh, I can't help you with that. I never had problems with the soundbar either.
- -----
- Dekim: I'm a sucker for soundbars, and I'm not sure if the PS3's soundbar is better.

- ~!~Super Mario Party's music.
- Phantom Thief: I'm in the middle of a long weekend in the US, so I'm curious to know if anyone's listening to a Super Mario Party track.
- Edit: I've got a few hours of Mario Party, but I'm pretty sure that the first song on the OST is the only one I've heard.
- -----
- HylianSeven: This was my first Super Mario Party tune, it's so good.
- -----
- mazi: I've heard it on Mario Party 1
- -----
- Metallix87: This has been my main theme throughout the game. What a great track.
- -----
- GymWolf86: I used to listen to this song in Smash 2 on my phone.
- -----
- mazi: I've listened to it on Mario Party 1 and 2 on my phone too
- -----
- Ralemont: I'd love to have a Super Mario Party 2 track on the OST.
- -----
- Chaosblade: I'm sure many of you have a regular hearing, but this one is so good.
- -----
- Jazzem: I've listened to a couple of others on my phone too, and still like it. I'm surprised it's not also on Mario Party 2.
- -----
- Phantom Thief: It's not really on Mario Party 2, but you can listen through the website.

- ~!~PSA: Let's get into The Witcher 3 Remastered
- Toriko: I just got this email from the ps.com marketing department.
- Just a few screenshots
- It won't be a full price game but I'll check it out.
- -----
- Dyle: It's $1.99.
- -----
- Chandler: They don't announce it yet.
- -----
- Velocity:Design:Comfort: $1.99 for a remaster?
- -----
- Silky: They will announce it in the next week.
- -----
- Kraken3dfx: I'm not sure I understood. Is it a pre-order?
- -----
- Khanimus: It's hard to tell the difference between $1.99 and $1.99-2€.
- I'd expect it to be a pre-order, but I don't think it's a pre-order.
- -----
- Revolsin: It's a pre-order.
- -----
- sir_crocodile: It’s a pre-order.
- -----
- SinCItyAssassin: It's a pre-order.

- ~!~What is the best music in a game?
- HF2014: I'm not talking about how good or bad the soundtrack is, I'm talking about how the music is very important to what you're enjoying.
- It's not just about the overall quality of the soundtrack itself, it's also about how it encompasses the themes of the game, and the composers who contribute to it to the extent that they're often the ones who've to explain the music to the player.
- As someone who could barely write a good song for a game, what's the best way to play the music in a game?
- -----
- yuoke: Just listen to the music of the game.
- -----
- Tizoc: This is a good one
- -----
- Milo Rambaldi: With the exception of Dragon Quest XI, which has great music, the greatest soundtrack in the series is the Dragon Quest theme.
- -----
- Sei: I would say Bangura's Wrath is the best.
- -----
- ThreepQuest64: Super Mario Bros.
- -----
- Zips: The one track from "Jumping" in Mario 64 is fantastic.
- -----
- Greatest Ever: Symphony of the Night.
- -----
- ArkhamFantasy: Yeah, I remember that one song.
- -----
- ====================
- ~!~RTTP: Final Fantasy VIII and the story itself.
- Mr.Deadshot: I'm not sure how anyone could possibly have a problem with FF7, but it's the story itself that really makes it a highlight.
- Final Fantasy VIII takes place within a large world, and the story itself is rife with strong characters and themes that take a backseat to the stories that VII had to go through, including time travel.
- In the story, you meet Kazuma Kuwabara, a young man who has joined the military and is tasked to take down the Empire in a bid to free the princess Luna. He goes on a massive adventure in order to save the princess and other heroes, but it's really the characters and themes that really make me think about what FF VIII would have taken from VII.
- I think FF3 was the most interesting story in the entire series, with characters and world building, but FFV is the very last FF that really came out before FFVII.
- -----
- Oheao: I think FFV is the best story of all time.
- -----
- Much: No. FF VII had a lot of flaws but it's basically the best story in the series.
- -----
- Dardan Sandiego: FFV was the best story in the series.
- -----
- Hektor: I'm sure that's because it's a huge part of the series' story.
- -----
- Dojima: FFV was the best story in the series.
- -----
- Heartskips: A lot of people don't like VII but I think it's as good as anything else. It's a huge part of the series' story, and very memorable for a reason.
- -----
- doublechocochip: If only the FF games had a similar thread.
- -----
- Mr.Deadshot: I don’t think so.
- -----
- Kyoufu: V is the best story in the series.

- -----
- Mondai: Wow, that's a crazy amount of money for a game they had no chance of releasing.
- -----
- SharkJohnson: Wow, that's a lot of money for a single day.
- -----
- Jawbreaker: It's not just that Nintendo of America is the biggest asshole in the world.
- -----
- Kapryov: They're happy for us to be the ones to spend a bunch of money on a game they don't want to release....
- -----
- HStallion: That's a crazy amount of money for a single day, lol.

- ~!~Xbox One was the best selling console in 2018 with Xbox One
- Koozek: I'm not talking about Xbox One exclusives or the best gaming party, but only the best selling console of all time. The Xbox One was the best selling console in 2018 with Xbox One X being the best selling console in 2018.
- I'm talking about the best selling console of all time.
- -----
- Cess007: The Xbox One is the best selling console in gaming history.
- -----
- Laserbeam: That's how it was in the past.
- -----
- Lite_Agent: I think it's fair to say that Microsoft is only responsible for the success of their Xbox One. But for all its shortcomings, it was the best selling console of all time.
- -----
- Borman: I think it was the best selling console of all time. It was also the best selling console of all time.
- -----
- NattyBo: I remember saying it looked like a real thing, but I forget if it had a controller, the price, the exclusivity, or the price of the base model.
- -----
- KoolAid: Honestly?
- -----
- Sub Boss: I guess.
- -----
- Paul: It was the best selling console in the last 5 years.
- -----
- squall23: Maybe it was the best selling console in the past?

- ~!~The real power of a well-known game's release date
- potentialtodisplease: It's been a long, long time since I've played a game that I don't know how to describe to what it might mean. I'm not talking about the massive sales of a game, but the execution of that game's release date.
- EA's games are often released by the end of next year, and a game released in June or July is typically releasing in November or December. I'm talking about the massive sales of a game, and the execution of that game's release date.
- I'm talking about the execution of a game's release date.
- -----
- Savantcore: The games fall in between the 2.
- It's the perfect time to start the thread.
- -----
- Lite_Agent: EA should have gone with 2018 instead of 2022.
- -----
- Gegz: I don't think it's relevant to this question, but it's absolutely important to me.
- -----
- Silky: AAA games with release dates are always a shitshow.
- -----
- jbug617: Well, at least that's the case for me.
- -----
- TheMrPliskin: I mean, they should have announced a date for 2019/2028, but it's not, they haven't announced a release date for 2020/21.
- -----
- TheSubsequentStrajack: It's not relevant at all.
- -----
- Dreamboum: I'm not sure if it's relevant. I don't think its release date is usually a release date, but it's a reference to the game's release date.
- -----

- ~!~So, what happened to the Nintendo Switch line?
- Aokiji: I really had a question about this and I wanted to know when the line was coming back.
- I already knew about the Switch line from the last year, and the line was pretty good. That said, even the second line was pretty barebones at best.
- To answer your question, the Switch line is a barebones line. It has a few missing features and improvements to its hardware, but most of them are still very basic. The Switch has a weird, limited range of games, but the most important ones are still found in the 3DS. They're still a lot of fun, and the Switch has a nice selection of games.
- Now, the Switch is a collection of games, and Nintendo doesn't release them all and then bundle them all together. They're all available on a single platform, but games are limited only to certain regions.
- So, what happened?
- -----
- Qikz: It's a good thing for the Switch to have these games available on multiple platforms, and I think it's a good thing for Nintendo to have them available on multiple platforms.
- -----
- 1upsuper: Isn't the 3DS line the same size as the DS line?
- -----
- Rösti: It was with the DS line, it was one of the first things that came to mind. It's not even the same size as the DS line, which is something that was missing from the 3DS line.
- Edit: They’re even small.
- -----
- Llazy: Well, the 3DS line is still very small (since it's a portable device), and the DS line is the same size as the 3DS line.
- And the DS line is the same size as the 3DS, so it's still an incredibly tiny line.
- -----
- SofNascimento: I don't think 3DS and DS are the same thing.
- -----
- SofNascimento: Yeah, I don't think so.
- -----
- Protome: I did buy the DS line and the 3DS line and am glad it's still there
- -----
- texhnolyze: I'm glad they made the 3DS line smaller.
- -----
- Jawbreaker: This one is ridiculous.

- ~!~How do you feel about the Switch's battery life?
- SG-17: I'm at the point I'm getting that Switch is literally dying on a regular basis. I'm not going to go into it lightly, but I'm going to take the additional 5-10 hours of battery life with it.
- -----
- JusDoIt: I'm fine, but I see a lot of people say it's "too late" for battery life.
- -----
- SolVanderlyn: I do appreciate that battery life is something of a gift that Nintendo has given them.
- -----
- Panther2103: I'm just not sure it matters at all.
- -----
- Deleted member 1258: Oh yeah, that's a good battery.
- -----
- Crazy Izanagi: I'm not happy, it's my fault.
- -----
- Hella: It's not my fault.
- -----
- Platy: I don't believe it matters
- -----
- Stinkinmushroom: I'm fine, but I think it's too late

- This thread is for everyone who is searching for the best looking and most impressive stuff in their favorite games.
- Even if it’s just a simple title, this thread is for all of us who enjoy looking at great stuff.
- -----
- delete12345: Remember when people said the PS4 was the best looking console ever?
- -----
- Tizoc: I've seen the best looking 3DO amiibo ever, and I'm kinda getting the feeling a lot of people are going to think it was clunky
- -----
- ItWasMeantToBe19: The first time I actually saw Super Mario Bros. 3 at a TGS showcase, I literally knew it was going to be a PS4.
- -----
- SharpX68K: Probably the best looking PS4 ever.
- -----
- Kyoufu: I'm pretty sure I've seen this thread multiple times, and it's still the best looking PS4 ever.
- -----
- Laser Man: Super Mario Bros. 3.
- -----
- The Last One: Super Mario Bros 3
- -----
- xxracerxx: I had a look at that Mad Max: Fury Road poster in the OP.

- ~!~Project SENSOR - The Next Level in Robotics & Automata
- Pikagreg: The announcement that Project SENSOR is coming to PS4 and PSVR, and that the team is going to have a lot of new members, this is coming out of Japan in June, and it's already received some media coverage.
- It's coming to PS4 and PSVR in the same month, and also coming to PSVR in the same month.
- Personally, I'm really excited for the game, and the project is very ambitious.
- -----
- L Thammy: That's a good thing.
- You'd think that the PS3-360 reissues would sell well, but I think the PS360's reissues would have sold better.
- -----
- Phantom Thief: I mean, yeah, it's not dead yet, but the PS3-360 reissues were doing the opposite of what the PSVR games did, and I would think that's something that'd have been done much sooner than we'd think.
- -----
- Skel1ingt0n: It already released on PS3 and PS 360, I think it's now coming to PS4 and PSVR.

- -----
- FinalDasa: Exactly why they're doing this?
- -----
- RochHoch: That’s why they're doing this.
- -----
- Lashley: Why not just release all the games on PC if they can?
- -----
- D.LoK: I'm not gonna lie, I was looking forward to this. I need to get to the fighting games.

- ~!~The best way to play KH3
- Kemono: It's been a while since I've seen this thread, so I'm not going to try to bash it.
- But, I'd like to talk about the best way to play the game. I think it's the easiest, but the most fun.
- What are your top 10 best ways to play the game?
- I just want to mention the ability to change the difficulty. I think I can do it by pressing X, but I'm not sure if it's possible.
- -----
- KillstealWolf: When you have no reason to change the difficulty you can't change the difficulty.
- -----
- BubbleButt64: I'd be pretty sure I can change the difficulty by pressing X. I think you can do it in the game though, I'm sure.
- -----
- Knight613: I'd have to say that, while it's easy to do it with X, you can do it easily.
- -----
- bonesawisready5: I'm very good at playing through a mainline game and I can't say it's easier than KH3.
- -----
- Kemono: I was thinking about it a few months ago in my mind. I thought it was kinda easy to start with that.
- -----
- Kemono: I'd say that it's the easiest, but I think it might be difficult to do.
- -----
- Phendrift: As long as you're not the trouble maker at the start of the game, the harder difficulty is the best.
- -----
- Bishop89: I played through the game in the beginning with the challenge only, and it was pretty damn good.
- I think it's the best way to play the game for sure.

- ~!~PlayStation Store: What are your impressions of the new consoles?
- L Thammy: I'm a big fan of PS4, but I haven't been in a console for more than a year. I'm not even sure how much I've actually enjoyed the PS4 Pro this year.
- My biggest disappointment with the PS4 was the lack of a PS Now app on my system. The PS Now app is not to be missed, but I don't think I'd want to miss out on that. It would be cool to have more options on PS Now, but I'd really like to see it make it to the main OS of the console, but I can't see that happening for a few years.
- -----
- bsigg: I had no problem playing the PS4 Pro at 1080p 60fps, but I'm not sure if I would be able to keep up with the performance of the PS5.
- -----
- L Thammy: You can't have PS4 at 1080p 60fps.
- -----
- Namorange: That's one of the biggest disappointments I've seen in a console's history. The PS4 Pro is on track to be one of the best performing consoles ever.
- -----
- KainXVIII: This is where I have a little bit of a problem.
- On the one hand, the PS4 is a beast.
- On the other hand, the PS4 Pro is the first console I ever bought a PS4.
- -----
- julian: I was going to say I liked the PS4, but it feels like I'm missing out.
- -----
- Nagito: It's like I haven't bought a PS4 since the launch of PS3.
- -----
- L Thammy: I didn't say that.
- -----
- Richter1887: I thought PS Now offered a way to keep my PS4 from dying the instant I opened it, but that didn't happen.
- -----
- L Thammy: I am not sure if this is correct.
- -----
- Granjinha: I doubt that PS Now would be the last thing I would have bought a PS4, but I am sure that PS Now would have been better.

- ~!~'Overwatch' has a new Overwatch trophy.
- Chronospherics: It was revealed today on a stream by Riot Games that the "Overwatch" trophy will be available on August 23, 2019.
- It's been featured in the Overwatch/Overwatch subreddit, and it's actually most likely going to be a "paywall" (the trophy itself is not discounted, but it'll be discounted to $5 for the first week of the tournament).
- Achievements will be given out a week later, and when you win it, you get a bonus for playing the season 1 game.
- I'm guessing they're working on a new patch so they can be restarted and added to the game, so that they can be added to the game (will likely be a free update from now on).
- -----
- Dyle: That's the title of the thread.
- -----
- mazi: they did a limited edition patch to the game, and you got it
- -----
- Ehoavash: So next year I'm going to get the Overwatch trophy and have it on the new season.
- -----
- Rocketz: We already got the Overwatch trophy.
- -----
- Sinnocent: That's the title of the thread.
- -----
- Clive: Wow, that's crazy.
- -----
- Ryouji Gunblade: Paying $5 to unlock a new hero? That's crazy.
- -----
- Chronospherics: That thumbnail doesn't exactly match the thumbnail in the thumbnail of the new patch. I'm assuming it's a cosmetic thing, or something like "We'll add the new hero to the game!"
- -----
- Chronospherics: Yeah, that seems to be the title of the thread.

- ~!~Greetings to the Yakuza fans!!
- Jawbreaker: This is one of the most anticipated games coming out next year for me. One of the most anticipated games coming out next year for me.
- I'd love to have a Yakuza game that I can play and I can play on my time off.
- I've had Yakuza only for a couple of years now and I absolutely love Yakuza games. I love Yakuza 3, Yakuza 6, Yakuza 0, Yakuza 0, Yakuza 0, and Yakuza 0. I love Yakuza 0, Yakuza 0, and Yakuza 0. I played Yakuza 0 and liked the game a lot but I enjoyed it enough to finish it.
- I'd love a Yakuza game with an enjoyable story and a good gameplay.
- I feel like I'd love to see Yakuza 0.
- -----
- psilocybe: Yakuza 0 is the best Yakuza game of all time.

- Rei no Otaku: Wouldn't it be a Yakuza game? Yakuza 0 is very good, but I'm not really into Yakuza, so I'd love a Yakuza game that was at least as good.
- -----
- Zeta Ori: Yakuza 0 is a good game, but I'd love a Yakuza game that didn't have a plot hole.
- -----
- GokouKyouma: Yakuza 0 is the best Yakuza game ever.
- -----
- Dusk Golem: I'd love a Yakuza game that didn't have a plot hole.
- -----
- wiill64: I hope the game is good.

- ~!~DF: 3D Studio: Engine Wars Demo, for PS4/XBO
- MaverickHunterX: EDIT: Also, DF has posted a long interview on its blog. It covers a lot of stuff in the Wii demo and a lot of it works well.
- DF 3D Studio is a 3D engine/software studio that has been in development for the PS4/XBO for a while, but a lot of it is locked down to the console versions now and is only available on the Xbox One/PS4. It's mostly focused on third-party games, but it does have a few unique features that can be found here.

- ~!~Huge chunky snake jokes in Smash Ultimate
- Dancrane212: I watched a lot of videos about huge chunky snakes in Smash Ultimate and the snake jokes were really funny and funny.
- I don't know about video games, but I thought the snake jokes were funny and funny from a video game perspective.
- -----
- Dancrane212: This is probably the only video I've seen where the snake jokes were funny.
- As for the snake jokes, this is what I'm guessing from the video.
- This is rather funny because the snake doesn't seem to actually grab the player's attention.
- I guess it's a variation on the "you know what? This isn't real, right? That's real!"
- -----
- Kyoufu: I thought it was funny, but that wasn't the point. This is just a demonstration of how stupid the snake jokes are.
- -----
- Khanimus: The snake is really good.
- -----
- Dancrane212: I'm not sure if I agree with that but I'm not sure why they couldn't have just referred to the snake as a snake.
- Good catch.
- -----
- SofNascimento: It just shows how stupid the snake jokes are.
- -----
- Kyoufu: This is actually pretty funny.
- -----
- Dancrane212: The snake joke goes all over the place.

- ~!~Warning: You'll need to change your DNS settings to work with a Redstone router.
- Flux: I'm actually not sure what this means for my ISP. There's no option to change DNS. I'm not sure if that means I can't use my ISP's DNS servers in general anymore, just how is that possible?
- Edit: I think I've been warned to just change the DNS settings, and that I can't use it. It's just that I can't use my ISP's DNS servers in general anymore.
- -----
- Stat: I'm not sure.
- -----
- Flux: Yeah. I'm not sure what's the point of this. I'm not sure what's the point of this.
- -----
- Couscous: If you're using the ISP's DNS servers, you'll have to change them to work with your ISP's DNS settings.
- -----
- Raijinto: Redstone routers are the ones that are used when the router is running. They're way better than a Redstone router.
- -----
- Flux: Yeah this is incorrect.
- -----
- sir_crocodile: I think I could use my ISP's servers in general, but the Redstone router isn't what I'm looking for.
- -----
- LinkStrikesBack: I don't know. I remember when they were introduced it was to increase coverage, but I don't remember it being used.
- -----
- Woetyler: I can't imagine it being a good idea, but they are definitely better than Redstone routers.

- ~!~Eurogamer - How Microsoft's Spider-Man PS4 Playstyle Is Turning Into a Game
- delete12345: Sony president Phil Spencer was interviewed by the Guardian's Insomniac games in a recent interview.
- He mentions that he thinks the PS4 is the next big console Sony will release to try and convince people that the PS5 will be a "game changer".
- “I think it's a brilliant opportunity for Sony to convince a significant number of people that the PS5 is the next big thing, and that it's a game changer for them. It's a game changer, and I think that it should be a factor for them. But I don't think they've really made any progress in making PlayStation games that they can show at the end of the generation. I don't think they can do any good in that direction that they can show with the PS5. I think they need to bring it up to their leadership level. And I think it's the right time for that.
- -----
- Phantom Thief: It's a good thing because I think the game that they've been working on is going to go to PS5.
- -----
- juliamcardinals: I would love to see them try to flip the console on PS5.
- -----
- delete12345: It would be great if they were able to do something similar.
- -----
- lemonade: Thats a good thing.
- -----
- Bhonar: That's an impressive thing to say, I hope they do it
- -----
- Skux: I would say this is a good thing for the PS5, if not for me.
- -----
- Phantom Thief: I agree.
- -----
- Dojima: Good thing they didn't just make a PS5.

- ~!~Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age launches December 13, 2018
- Hero of Legend: I was hoping for a release date for Echoes of an Elusive Age.
- There's some nice little touches, like the music (and even the gameplay).
- -----
- LycanXIII: I'm glad I got my Switch. It's supposed to be the first game on Switch out of the gate, but it's missing a date.
- -----
- Silky:
- -----
- Hero of Legend: I had no idea this was coming out on Switch
- -----
- lazygecko: I'm in for Echoes. Gonna be a blast playing on the Switch.
- -----
- Ryuelli: I'm still waiting on the game.
- -----
- Dr Doom: I'm in for Echoes.

- ~!~Metro Exodus: The Game That Changed the Game Industry Forever
- MauroNL: So Metro Exodus: The Game That Changed the Game Industry Forever got a very positive reception on Steam, but then Metro Exodus came out just shy of one month ago.
- The game that started the franchise on all cylinders, was a PC game that came out two weeks ago here on the West.
- The game that started the franchise on all cylinders, was a game with lots of heart and a very special story, but with no story at all.
- It's a game that's made me think of what the future of gaming will be like. I wish more games would be like this.
- I hope they bring us the same kind of story and I hope that they do it again next year.
- -----
- Maneil99: That was a great game. I would love to see them go back to this.
- -----
- SinCItyAssassin: I've always thought of these games as the precursor to the next gen, and I'm glad to see them go back to that.
- -----
- tyfon: I think it would be interesting to see more games like this in the future. I guess in the grand scheme of things, I guess they'll just do the same thing Metro Exodus did, and just keep the formula going, but it'd be fascinating to see what the next generation of games will bring.
- -----
- Ametroid: Yeah, I wonder if this will be the same situation as the Metro Exodus one, I guess we'll see both next year.
- -----
- KojiKnight: I think the next Metro will be the same as the previous game, so I'm sure that game will have its own story.
- -----
- Dark_Castle: The same thing that happened with Metro Exodus.
- -----
- HussiZooT: I hope they rework the formula and make it different.
- -----
- InsaneTiger: It's the same thing as Metro Exodus. The original was a friendlier experience than the sequel, and I hope they do that again.
- -----
- KojiKnight: Did you know that Metro Exodus is a series of interlinked stories? Was that the case for both games?
- -----

- ~!~Ever since I finished watching the first episode of The Last of Us, I've wanted to see more of MGSV.
- Llazy: So I'm not really sure if I want to play it but at the beginning of the game, it's just good ol' mess. One of the best parts of the game.
- There's a game in the series that does a lot of things the way it's supposed to do and it's a great game.
- But ever since I finished that game, I've wanted to see more of MGSV.
- So what do you think?
- -----
- Stalker: Maybe I'm just not very familiar with MGSV, but it's definitely one of my favorite games of all time.
- -----
- TheDinoman: I love the game and hope it keeps my interest.
- -----
- The Last One: The first episode of The Last of Us was my favorite part.
- -----
- JusDoIt: Where was I?
- -----
- Llazy: I think you'll get a lot of nods from me if you're giving the game a chance.
- -----
- Transistor: Only a few moments of gameplay, no?
- -----
- Llazy: I mean, they just saved the game for that thread.
- -----
- HeisenbergWW62: I'm still waiting for the "next game" series to come out.
- -----
- Transistor: I love you Jack
- -----
- Llazy: Yeah, I thought about that too.

- ~!~Is there a good way to play games on a cheap portable?
- Doom_Bringer: I'm no expert but I have been thinking about getting a cheap portable that I can hook up to my computer to play games on.
- I always assume that the cost of a portable is only appropriate for gaming, but I'm not sure that it's a good idea to get a portable. It's like the price of a switch.
- I think I'd even be better off with something that's cheap and easy to install, but I know that's expensive.
- I don't know if it has a decent chance of being successful (just not sure if it works), but I would like to know if there's a good way to play on a portable.
- Anybody have any thoughts?
- -----
- Ingueferroque: A very good idea, IMO
- -----
- JusDoIt: I think it's good in that it works very well, but it's very expensive.
- -----
- Doom_Bringer: I can't speak to the price of the game consoles, but the cost of the PS4 is pretty cheap.
- -----
- dancingphlower: It's a good idea, but not a great one.
- -----
- Ingueferroque: I think the PS4 is the best one I've played.
- -----
- DrArchon: Probably not. There's a lot of good games on the PS4 and the portable is a very good piece of hardware. Plus it's pretty cheap.
- -----
- DecoReturns: I'm way too old for this. I have a PS4, and a Switch. I only have a Switch and PS4, so I don't think I can play everything on my phone.
- -----
- Doom_Bringer: I’m talking about the kind of games I’d rather have on a portable, like those on a TV or something.
- -----
- Dark Cloud: Nope.

- Bits N Pieces: I’m excited for the first Dark Souls Remastered version, and I’m curious if it’s worth getting. If I get it, I’d like to know what it looks like.
- -----
- Asbsand: Would have to get it on Switch, but I'd be willing to give it another shot.
- -----
- Soulflarz: yes it would be nice
- -----
- Bits N Pieces: And it would be nice to play the game in my country/region.
- -----
- KillstealWolf: What?
- -----
- P-Switch: I don't think it's a deal breaker. The game is gorgeous, and the first generation of consoles that came with it were all great.
- -----
- Kerozinn: Yes!
- -----
- JoDa: Yeah. That's huge, sure.
- -----
- Razgriz417: not really, it would be nice to be able to play it on a portable

- -----
- Zukuu: Which is the best one?
- -----
- theofficefan99: No.
- -----
- kennyamr: Better than Wii Sports.
- -----
- Kenzodielocke: Maybe. I bought an Xbox One X with PS4 Pro and have been playing on my PS4.
- -----
- V_ac: Wait, is Xbox Live still the only place to buy physical games?
- -----
- Lant_War: I didn't realize they were still doing this.

- ~!~Innovation in The Game Industry: The Game Industry is Not For You
- Masterspeed: It's been a long time coming.
- In March 2017, I was at my desk wondering if there was a thread about the exact game industry that is not for you. I was thinking about how the game industry is not for you. It's not like the music industry people are for console to PC remasters, classic games or other old console games.
- It's a blurry picture but I keep thinking of games like Breath of the Wild, Nioh, Witcher, Ratchet & Clank, Prey, and of course Astro Bot might be for you.
- There's also games like Killzone that are made by a very small team of people who have gone behind the scenes to do a game, and a team that is very small to even start with.
- But the problem is the game industry is not for you. It's not like you are being part of the development process, you are just sitting around waiting for a game to come out.
- The Game Industry is for you.
- -----
- LordKano: This is a point I have made before but I don't think you have been exposed to a game industry that is not for you.
- -----
- Cthulhu_Steev: This is a whole different world.
- -----
- KoolAid: I'm a game director, and I'm not even sure what the game industry is for.

- ~!~What's your favorite game-mode/game-mode with a huge focus on multiplayer?
- SweetSark: I'm juggling between playing 60 fps on my PS4 Pro or PSVR setup and playing as a Splinter Cell on my PS4 Pro. Being a game mode, I play the most fun stuff like a Tetris Effect level or a Super Mario Run level. We play on a 4 player co-op and it's very fun to play with a friend. What I love most about the game-mode is the fact that it's a game mode with a huge focus on multiplayer.
- Honestly, I think the most fun thing is the feeling of playing with friends. I think I'm more likely to be playing as a Splinter Cell on my PS4 pro than a Switch.
- What do you think? What I think is the best game mode/game mode?
- -----
- Jawbreaker: Splinter Cell on PS4 is the best.
- -----
- Agni Kaiusi: Splinter Cell on PS4 is the most fun.
- -----
- The Last One: Not a Splinter Cell fan but the Splinter Cell on PS4 is the best.
- -----
- SweetSark: I think it's Splinter Cell on the Switch with a big focus on multiplayer.
- -----
- Vincent Grayson: Splinter Cell on PS4
- -----
- hippopotamus: Splinter Cell on PS4
- -----
- The Last One: Splinter Cell on PS4.

- ~!~Was the Xbox One X's performance the worst console launch ever?
- Hu3: The X was just a launch console.
- I was lucky enough to get the X at launch on my PS4 Pro, and spend hours on my PS4 Pro.
- I really enjoyed my time with it, and it was amazing how many great games I didn't get the chance to play. It was a weird moment, but one I didn't think about for years.
- I would say it's really a strange start to the generation, but the X was the launch console for me.
- -----
- Shizuka: It's a weird thing to even consider that. I think the Xbox One X’s launch performance was like a third worst launch console launch ever.
- -----
- Toumari: It was, but it was a launch console.
- -----
- Hieroph: You should add the fact that it launched with a $199 price tag to this thread.
- -----
- AegonSnake: I've never had a problem with my Xbox One X, but I've had a problem with the launch launch.
- -----
- MELLO: It was the launch console for me.
- -----
- Clive: It was the launch console for me.
- -----
- Hey: I had an X but never got a X, so it was a launch console.
- -----
- Toumari: Yeah, I didn't see the point of that. I think you can see what it was doing, but I think for me, it was a launch console.

- Theorry: Yes, it's a 12 hour game.

- ~!~What are the best games that use touch screen controls?
- mrmickfran: I have a feeling some people were referring to SMB and MHW on the same breath. The two games I have played are both bad games but they are iconic for their touch screen controls.
- Let me start by saying that I am not saying that the touch screen is the best feature, but rather that it is the most important feature.
- For me personally, I think it is probably the best way to play SMB/MHW.
- It allows you to "feel" how you are playing, and to feel the way that you are playing. The level design and level design feels good. It adds depth to the world, and the world itself is a good place to explore and interact with.
- Another thing I like about touch screen controls is that you can see what part of the game you are playing (or for example you can see what is happening in the game world). It helps you see the game world in a way that you can't see in real life.
- What do you guys think? Do you prefer touch screen controls on single screen games or on multiplayer games? I personally do not like the ability to see what is happening in the game world without having to actually see it.
- -----
- jorgejjvr: I feel like touch screen controls are more important to me than the actual control.
- For me, it's the same big difference between something like Mario 64 or Zelda.
- -----
- Soulflarz: Some games, like the ones above, you don't have to touch the screen to feel them.
- -----
- AndyVirus: Depends on the experience.
- -----
- Dyle: The “you can see what” is the most important feature.
- -----
- Toumari: It really depends on the game. For me, I'd say that just because it lets you know what is happening in the game world, it makes it easier to see what is happening in the game world.
- -----
- BizzyBum: The touch screen is the best. It's just that touch screen controls don't really add much to the game experience, and you can't really tell what is happening in the game world.
- -----
- Anthony Hopkins: I mean, if it's in the game you want to play, it's good that it's there. But if you want to see what

- ~!~Microsoft at E3 2018 'show' online.
- KojiKnight: I went to a Microsoft event that was live and the only thing I saw was the keynote, where you could see the complete conference. The entire room was packed with people, including Matt & Layden as well as the whole MS team. There was also a game-play show with live gameplay showing off Halo Infinite, a 2D Sonic 'game' and a demo on Xbox VR.
- -----
- Kyoufu: In a good way.
- Microsoft is on track to be Xbox One only next year.

- ~!~Leaked Game Butts
- Eolz: I was thinking about this, but I figured it would be a good idea to at least share some of the things coming out on the leaks.
- -----
- NeoZeedeater: It's a bit of a weird situation, because it also means we're going to get a very specific game that's not coming out until this year. But I guess that's what it means.
- -----
- Sesha: I'm still hoping that they'll release a delayed Silent Hill 2 so we can see the game in the Direct after the game hits. I can't see them putting it on the back burner for now.
- -----
- Svart: They're not releasing it until next year.
- -----
- Ze_Shoopuf: Definitely coming out in September.
- -----
- Phantom Thief: I mean, I'm still hoping that this game is delayed to 2019 but it would be a weird transition.
- -----
- DNAbro: They're releasing it almost a year later than they're supposed to.
- -----
- Paraside: Game is still planned for next year
- -----
- Raijinto: I bet they're still working on a new game. I'd be surprised if they're keeping it a secret.

- ~!~PAL CHART: RESET ERA WAREHOUSE?
- King of Dreamland: I actually haven't seen a thread for this game yet, but I have been asking for it.
- It's a game that came out in 2011 and it released in 2012. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game, but it's not a game that I want to play in 2018.
- It's a RTS, and it has its own sequel in 2019:
- I don't know what this game is actually called. Maybe it was a port of another game?
- -----
- King of Dreamland: It was called ResetERA WAREHOUSE.
- -----
- violent: It's a little on the old side, but it's not exactly the best of the Rage series.
- -----
- Aokiji: I played this on PS3 when it was on sale and I loved it. I can't wait to see what they do with the new sequel.
- -----
- Kirk McKeand: It's a battle royale.
- -----
- SnatcherHunter: You can't beat the adrenaline.
- -----
- Saint-14: The soundtrack is fantastic, I'll play it again when I see a chance.
- -----
- Lichtsang: It's a decent game. It's not even close to RTS though.
- -----
- Jbourne: It's a mobile title, and it has a sequel in 2019.
- -----
- Cess007: It was released in 2015 on iOS and Android.

- SuperiorTrashTalk: As a kid, I’m always playing with my brother’s OST and knowing what he wants. I know what kind of music he wants to hear, but I’m not really sure what I want. Personally I’m always playing with my brother’s OST and knowing what he wants.
- I know what kind of music he wants to hear, but I’m not really sure what I want.
- I guess it’s just a matter of my own personal tastes.
- -----
- Borman: I'll tell you what: I'm a sucker for more Mario music. In fact, I love the tracks of the games that I play with my brother. This is my second favorite OST of all time, and I'm more than happy to hear it on the soundtrack.
- -----
- Deleted member 11093: If you want to pick up Mario 3D Land or any other Mario game, that's a good thing, and you're welcome to listen to it on any soundtrack you want on the go.
- -----
- ghibli99: I love some of the songs from this game. I have my own sort of backlog.
- -----
- Razgriz417: I love the OST of Zelda
- -----
- Lant_War: Yeah, this is a great one.
- -----
- Frox: It's a great OST.
- -----
- Svart: I really like 2D Mario games.
- -----
- Nemesis162: Why?
- I don't know but it's so good.

- Smash Kirby: I love the OST of Mario, I love the music of the games and I love the characters.

- Kyoufu: I'm currently using the PS4 for the first time. My Sony account will be activated once I complete my online subscription.

- ~!~What do you think of the Switch version of Spider-Man?
- delete12345: The recent comments about the price of the Switch version is pretty much just confirmation that the Switch version will have a price hike if you're willing to pay that extra $400 for the console.
- It's a very different version of the game than the PS4 version.
- -----
- Toumari: The PS4 version is at $400, the Switch version is at $400, the Xbox One version is at $400.
- -----
- lunarwhale: The Switch version will probably be $400, and the PS4 version will probably be $200.
- -----
- Hero of Legend: I really want to play Spider-Man 3 at full price. I want it to be bigger than the PS4 version. I don't want to pay $120 and have to buy a separate controller.
- -----
- capitalCORN: Switch is a choice.
- -----
- Jahranimo: I'm not gonna lie, I still prefer the PS4 version of the game. I'd probably just go with the Switch version.
- -----
- NeoZeedeater: The Switch version would be $350.
- -----
- ZhugeEX: I think it's a good choice.
- -----
- The Almighty Tria: I think it will be $400.

- LordKano: I think the Switch version will be $300.

- ~!~Nintendo's Online Service App
- Cartridge Games: Does it even exist? I thought it was just going to be an expansion to online service, but I'm not super interested in what they're doing it will it truly be the whole online service?
- -----
- cakely: I agree but I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I'm not even sure they are going to do it with the online service.
- -----
- Nabbit: It's not that they're not working on it, it's that they're not showing the service in the very best interest of the client and I'm not sure what's going on with that.
- -----
- Cartridge Games: I don't know about the online service but I'm very interested in who the new owners of the service are.
- -----
- Atheerios: I think it's a good idea for them to start adding online services to the Switch. It's a ways off and a very big problem for Nintendo given the way they've historically handled their online service.

- -----
- Krejlooc: At least I can get Gears 4 for $50.
- -----
- DmckPower: Isn't that the same month as Gears 4?
- -----
- RochHoch: I'd imagine the Gears 4 price tag would be $40-60 depending on the game.
- -----
- Shao Kahn: Oh hell no.
- -----
- OrbitalBeard: It's not like there's another price.
- -----
- Frox: Forza Horizon 4 is $30 at Best Buy.

- Dancrane212: So I was browsing Nintendo's website and I'm surprised to see that Animal Crossing merchandise is not allowed at Nintendo's new site. I am so confused about this.
- I mean, I'm sure it's ok, but I'm not sure if I should be allowed to put this on my purchases.
- All this time, I was using the "Animal Crossing" merchandise to get some of the extra merchandise.
- Now I'm in the U.S., I'm just wondering if I should do this again.
- -----
- Boddy: Yeah, I'm guessing not.
- -----
- Cartridge Games: I was so confused and confused about this a few weeks ago. All I know is I can't buy a new Nintendo game in Japan.

- ~!~Which of the following is the best?
- Crazy Izanagi: I'm looking at the top 10 games on steam right now, and I'm wondering what the consensus is between each.
- 1. Dragon Quest XI
- The story is pretty good, with a very nice cast that is making a big impact on the series. I am not sure how it would fit on a JRPG, but I liked the music in the game and it's a great song.
- 2. Xenoblade Chronicles 2
- The story is straight up amazing and the characters are great. It's not too long, but it's a fun game with a cool atmosphere.
- 3. Valkyria Chronicles 3
- It's the best action story I have ever played. I can't wait to pick this up and play it again later this year.
- 4. Soul Sacrifice
- My favorite cast amongst the top 10. I can't wait to play them again.
- 5. Chrono Trigger
- The main reason I love Chrono Trigger is because of all the characters that interact with each other. I love this game as a whole.
- 6. Final Fantasy XII
- I love the cast. The cast is so beautiful and unique and the stories are so strong.
- 7. Xeno 1
- The story is simple and the characters are great, but I love the music. The characters are definitely memorable and the music is incredible.
- 8. Dragon Quest X
- The story is so good, it's a little short.
- 9. Valkyria Chronicles 3
- I really love this game, and I love the cast and the characters.
- 10. DQ X
- The story is so good, the music is great, and the characters are great.
- 11. Xenoblade Chronicles 2
- It's a little clunky, and has some awkward moments.
- 12. Final Fantasy VII
- I love the music, and the characters are amazing.
- 13. Xenoblade 2
- It's a bit too long, but it's a good game.
- 14. Xenoblade 2
- The story is really good and the characters are fantastic.
- 15. Final Fantasy VII
- It's a good game but I can't wait to pick it up and play it again.
- 16. Devil May Cry 5
- The story is so good, and the characters are great.
- 17. Final Fantasy IX
- The game is really good but the story is too long.

- ~!~Did Sony ever talk about how they can make a PS5 business?
- T-Rex.: I'm sure it's obvious that Sony is at the helm of the PS5, but no one really knows exactly how. They did say that they wanted to make the PS5 business as directly as possible, but yes, that's not what we know.
- Saying that is not the way to do it, to be honest.
- What do you think?
- -----
- Cess007: I doubt it, but it's not a question that Sony can't answer. They need to lower the costs of making the PS5 business as much as possible.
- -----
- Vaelic: Well, that's not so bad.
- -----
- Deleted member 14002: But they should have.
- -----
- JINX: I doubt it, they could never be as successful as they are now.
- -----
- Mory Dunz: Honestly I don't think anything Sony could possibly do to make the PS5 business successful. They could always go with Microsoft, but the way things are going, it's not like Sony can make a profitable PS5 anytime soon, should be no different.
- -----
- vestan: They should have talked about that.
- -----
- Mercenary09: I think they should've said that Sony is making a PS5 business.
- -----
- JINX: I think they should have talked about that.
- -----
- Xavi: Sony need to be the first to go when it comes to making the PS5 business work. They can't be the first to make the PS5 business work.

- ~!~What is the best version of the game?
- Segafreak: With the upcoming release of NSO, what is the best version of a game?
- I wanted to get my hands on this game because I want to play it in 3D. I don't have a Switch, but since it wasn't my main console, I guess I could try the new version.
- -----
- Robinson: GameCube.
- -----
- Echo: I went through the Wii U version of Dead Cells on the Wii, and it was great. It's the best version of the game, but it's not very good.
- -----
- TheBeardedOne: It's the best version, yes.
- -----
- Paxton25: I think it's the Wii U version.
- -----
- Brix: I think it's the Switch version.
- I think the Wii U version is the best remake I've played.
- -----
- Laser Man: I'd say the Wii U version is better. I think it's best version is on the Wii U.
- Not sure if it's the best version.

- AegonSnake: I really need to go back to this one and see how it's done

- Azajabar: Just the $20 price is what I'm most excited for.

- Sagadego17: You're making me go back to Red Dead Redemption 2.

- Pledson: I was going to say it's more expensive but I'm really confused.

- Nirolak: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 2TB.
- Interesting that the RTX 2080 Ti is getting a 50% price increase over the RTX 2080 Ti.
- -----
- Mbolibombo: That's super crazy.
- -----
- Conkerkid11: Well, that's a super low price.
- -----
- Kirblar: Coming on the 26th of June.
- -----
- moogan: I'm not sure if it'll be worse than the RTX 2080 Ti, but I'm incredibly excited to finally get my hands on the 2080 Ti.
- -----
- AlexFlame116: I've been on a 2080 Ti since 2013.
- -----
- Thorn: I know that Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is supposed to be the best card, but I'm looking for a card that can run all the games I want on my PC without tearing.
- -----
- Spazerbeam: After the announcement of the RTX 2080 Ti, I was definitely looking forward to the GPU.
- -----
- Nemesis162: This just makes me want a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti even more.

- ~!~Is a game like Smash Bros. Ultimate worth getting?
- Oracle: I've been playing Smash Bros. Ultimate on Switch, and it works perfectly fine, especially since it's very different from the last game in the series.
- If you want to play it on Switch, you should probably play it on a low-cost portable.
- I've got a similar situation after all the Smash Bros. games in the last year or so, so I'd like to ask you guys how long you'd like to play the game before it becomes a full-fledged game?
- I want to know if the game is worth getting into, or if it would be worth getting into if you buy the game first (or if is a good deal).
- -----
- WestEgg: If you have a great deal on the game, yes, you should definitely play it.
- I would say it's worth getting into, even if you only play it once or twice a year.
- -----
- Books: If you're in the mood for a casual game, you'll probably like Smash Bros. Ultimate.
- -----
- Nappael: Absolutely not.
- It's not worth it.
- -----
- HeisenbergWW62: Oh shit, I'm gonna go in blind.
- -----
- Oracle: No.
- -----
- ItWasMeantToBe19: I don't care if the game is full price, but I'd get it if I got the game on Switch.
- -----
- Vipu: If you've got a limited amount of time, yes, you should. It's a great game.
- -----
- mute: The game has a lot of content and is a great value. If you get the game on Switch first, then you'll definitely get into it.
- -----
- Shao Kahn: I'd say go for it.
- -----

- ~!~Who is the most familiar character in a video game?
- Frox: I just want to say I'm not really a big fan of games that have characters that are in the same category as the characters in most other video game franchises.
- -----
- kadotsu: It's probably Kirby.
- -----
- Mediking: I'm sure Mario is the last one to be a character that's in a video game.
- -----
- Chaserjoey: The guy who did Mario Kart is the most familiar.
- -----
- ElectricBlanketFire: I mean, sure, he's Kirby, but he's also the most familiar.
- -----
- BubbleButt64: I think Klonoa is the most recognizable because he's from Mario Kart, and the story that he's told is kind of a bit of a throwback to Mario Kart '94, which is a very different game.
- -----
- Video Games Are Dumb: That's what I'm saying.
- -----
- Mr.F: Kirby isn't even a thing, he's just a pretty in-your-face character.
- -----
- Frox: I know he's Kirby, but Klonoa is a character in Smash too.
- -----
- BronsonLee: Klonoa is a character in Smash

- IbizaPocholo: I know this thread will be a bit of a meme, but I thought I'd consider paying money for an easy to unlock game on Steam.
- I'm curious to see which is the easiest to unlock. Is it to unlock the Hero, or a new character? Is it to unlock the Hero's stats, or the Hero's abilities? What about the items?

- ~!~What's the least fun game ever made for a PlayStation?
- ThereAreFourNaan: I'm a big fan of the PlayStation series and I had a few PS2 games on my PS2 (PS2+PS2+PS2+PS2+PS2+PS2+PS2+PS2+PS2+PS2+PS2+PS2+PS2+PS2) library.
- So I was thinking about what other games have made for a PS2 system? With the recent PS3 games on the PS4, I've had a few PS2 games on my PS3 library.
- I've been thinking about what would be an ideal PS2 game, but I'm definitely not sure which would work best for PS2. What other games would you recommend?
- -----
- mrmickfran: The PS2 games are the only ones I really want to replay.
- -----
- SofNascimento: The PS2 games are kinda boring.
- -----
- Jawbreaker: It's the easy answer.
- -----
- Papercuts: I'd say the PS2 games are the most fun. They're games where you can just play as a character and get a free "super" upgrade, and a bunch of other cool stuff to do.
- -----
- HeisenbergWW62: I'd say the PS2 games.
- -----
- antitrop: Just the PS2 games.

- -----
- Jawbreaker: It's a great game, it's very eccentric, and it has some really cool mechanics. I'm excited for this, but I'm not too keen on the PC version.

- ~!~What’s the best adventure spinoff for Switch? (TGS, Nindie Store, etc.)
- Hero of Legend: I’m a sucker for adventure spinoffs, so I’m interested in what everyone else is talking about. I know that I love playing them, but I don’t know if I’m going to like them enough to buy them again.
- I know that I’m going to hate the DLCs for X1 and PS4, but I don’t want them to be repeated. I know that I’m going to hate the DLCs for X1 and PS4, but I do not want them to be repeated. So I’m wondering what everyone else thinks.
- What I’m asking for is a "Best Adventure Game" thread, with discussion on what you think is the best adventure spinoff for Switch. So without further ado here it is.
- -----
- Dusk Golem: I think it was "Frozen" if you wanted to include Frozen.
- -----
- Wander_: Hey, I'm not even a fan of all the spinoffs. Let's just dip our toes into the waters of adventure spinoffs.
- -----
- N.Domixis: I like the Adventure and Frozen games more than the Tales games.
- -----
- Mauricio_Magus: Frozen, and I think that was it for me.
- -----
- SolVanderlyn: Frozen wasn't the best, but it was still an incredible game.
- -----
- Dusk Golem: I don't know about "best adventure spinoff" but I do want to see some of the best experiences from the series.
- -----
- Hero of Legend: I agree completely with you that it was an amazing game. I think the best Adventure game is still Adventure 2, but you can't have that without a good story.
- -----
- Cess007: Great game and a great adventure.
- -----
- Grenchel: I really like The Adventure, and I'd love to see a Tales of Vesperia adventure for Switch.

- ~!~Virtua Fighter 2 is coming to Switch, PS4/XBO
- Virtua Fighter:
- -----
- ItWasMeantToBe19: This has been confirmed for a while now.
- -----
- R dott B: That sounds interesting.
- -----
- Kouriozan: I thought this was a result of the late release.
- -----
- HylianSeven: Yeah that's cool.
- -----
- Phoenix Splash: I'm guessing it's being ported to Switch?
- -----
- Aokiji: this is the first time Tekken has been ported to Switch
- -----
- Nome: This game has already been announced for a while now.
- -----
- Aokiji: no it was announced at the e3 Direct
- -----
- Deleted member 11093: I think it's still very likely.

- ~!~Turtle Beach Games teasing Steam release of "Valkyria Chronicles"
- patapon: Discussed in the Steam thread but not officially announced.
- Particularly interesting is that they're teasing a port of "Valkyria Chronicles" from PS4 or PC, and not a PS5 version:

- Xx 720: XBOX version?

- ~!~If you liked the Hitman DLC, do you want to replay it?
- SOLDIER: I'm currently playing through Hitman 2016 on PS4. It's a huge step up on the original game and features a lot of great stuff. It's a great game that's great in its own right, but it's also a massive downgrade from the first game. The combat is out of whack with a lot of the Hitman gameplay loop (including the very stupid side quests), and the narrative is weird and tedious. The game is also a lot of fun in the campaign too. The story is great too. There's a lot of variety in the characters and locations, although the main game is a bit of a slog. It's not bad by any means, but I'm still not sure why people would want to replay it.
- -----
- EvilChameleon: I'd say yes. The DLC is the best Hitman game and I want the multiplayer to be a lot better.
- -----
- nivorae: Yes. Just play it.
- -----
- Brix: Yes. I loved the first game, but the second one is a bit more polished and more fun.
- -----
- Lant_War: Yes. It's a stealth game.
- -----
- TeHi la Hi: Yes.
- -----
- Miker: Yes, and yes. The first one is a fantastic Hitman game.
- -----
- SOLDIER: I'd say yes.
- -----
- Thewonandonly: I really don't understand why any one game is more important than the other

- ~!~What would be the ideal Switch game?
- Datajoy: I'd love to hear your thoughts on what would be the ideal Switch game. What would be the ideal Switch game?
- -----
- BubbleButt64: Just make the game look like it’s being played on a portable.
- -----
- Kareha: Nintendo should put a Switch port on every game they release.
- -----
- Gegz: What a terrible idea to release a console like this.
- -----
- Xharos: Mega Man Battle Network 2.
- -----
- Dardan Sandiego: This would be awful.
- -----
- Riderz1337: A non-Switch game that doesn't have the PS4/XBO/PC/PS4 exclusivity
- -----
- L Thammy: A more impressive and superior port to a console that is a $100+ game.
- -----
- Vamp: This makes me sad that Mega Man Battle Network 2 is a port that will probably never be ported to the Switch.
- -----
- P.T.: I personally would love to see a Mega Man Battle Network 2 on Switch.

- ~!~Has anyone sat through a game and had it feel "right"?
- Briarios: I know it's nice to have a conversation with a random person, but just a thought of a game I'm playing that feels "right" to me.
- Like, how many times have you sat through a game and had it feel "right" to you? I know a game you are playing or are playing on the go feels "right" to you, but I just don't think it's a good thing. Like, I can't say it's "right", but it feels "right" to me in some way.
- I just think it's a really nice thing to have a conversation with random people across the globe and have them feel "right" to you. Like, for example, when I play when I'm playing a game, it's like I've just been playing a game for a whole week and I'm loving it. It's like I'm enjoying a game from the perspective of someone who's just been playing for a week. But I'm just playing for the sake of fun, and I'll just be playing for the sake of having fun.
- -----
- Don Draper’s Battletech: When I play a game I really feel like I'm playing through some game. I know you can play through the entire game and not feel like you're a part of the story (like I'm not), but I guess it depends on what I'm playing.
- -----
- Lord of Ostia: This is why I'd play games like Chrono Trigger or Hollow Knight.
- I never feel like I'm part of the story or any of the main characters, but I'm always part of the story.
- -----
- jett: Saying that, I've always sat through a game and felt "right" that I was playing through it whilst I was playing it.
- -----
- Briarios: I do think there shouldn't be a stigma for having played through a game to feel "right". I don't think that's a good thing.
- -----
- LeleSocho: I sit down and play games for hours and hours.
- -----
- Slayven: If you're sitting here playing a game for the sake of fun and you're not enjoying it, then don't even touch it.
- -----
- Tiepke: I can think of no better example of this.

- ~!~Rainbow Six Siege is a great game.
- Rosebud: Wow, it's kinda weird how many people have been playing Rainbow Six Siege since it was first announced in February. I guess it's because it's a great game, but it's interesting to think about if the idea that Siege was somehow "secret" was actually true.
- Sure, it's a great game, but it's been 8 years since the last Rainbow Six game. People were playing it for that long, and maybe Fortnite was only one year old; there's no way we'd ever see a Rainbow Six Siege game in a decade where Siege was a full 6 months old. Heck, even if you believe Fortnite was on the development roadmap, Siege (and Fortnite 2) was still in development after Siege's launch.
- I'm replaying Rainbow Six Siege today.
- I had the chance to play it last year, but I still didn't play it. I should've played it years ago, but I never got round to it. I'm not even remotely interested in the game, but I'm willing to give it a chance now that it's on sale. I hope it's not a repeat of Siege I played the first time.
- -----
- The Living Tribunal: I was about to say that I never got round to Siege, but it's been a really good game.
- -----
- FluxWaveZ: I've always thought of Siege as a complex game of shifting alliances, and that's a pretty good example of a game that can be complex, but can always get messy.
- -----
- WrenchNinja: I enjoyed Siege well enough, but I don't see it ever being a massive success. I'm sure it would have been a great game but the addition of a PvP mode?
- -----
- Phantom Thief: Its a good game though.
- I really enjoyed Siege but I can't say I did a much better job with it.
- -----
- Dyle: Into the Breach was great, but I was never sure how it would fare against Siege. Siege is a great game too but it's not like anything Siege is really challenging, and it's a lot of fun to just play on the move. I remember playing it in the early days of iPlayer, so I didn't really have any issues.
- -----
- Ebtesam: I played Rainbow Six Siege just a few weeks ago and it's one

- ~!~Spider-Man PS4 is the best looking PS4 I have ever played
- Hero of Legend: I’m so happy Spider-Man PS4 is the best looking PS4 I have ever played.
- I have played the game on a PS4 for about a week and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I’m just not to buy games on PS4. I have not bought them on PS4 since I was even younger.
- I have played Spider-Man PS4 on the PS4 Pro. It has been amazing to play. It has been a pleasure playing it on a PS4. It has been a joy to play on a PS4. It has been amazing in Spider-Man PS4.
- I’ve played the PS4 Pro version on PS4. It has been a joy to play on a PS4. It has been a joy to play on PS4. I have played on PS4.
- I have played on PS4. It has been a joy to play on PS4. I have played on PS4. It has been a joy to play on PS4. I have played on PS4.

- Protome: Yeah I know it doesn't look that good, but I'll take it.
- -----
- Borowski: I have to ask, do you have a PS4 Pro?
- -----
- low-G: I use a Pro Controller for everything on PS4.

- TheBored23: I have a Pro Controller too. It's the best looking PS4 I've played.

- Apollo: I have a PS4 Pro and a Pro Controller.

- ~!~Inside Xbox Game Preview Thread
- ethomaz: Hey all!
- I love Game Preview, so I figured I'd create a thread here to share my thoughts on the upcoming preview thread.
- STALKER will be released for Game Preview on Thursday, March 4th at 11:59PM PST.
- Shout out to the preview thread on the horse as well as the people that were gracious enough to make me an official member.
- You're only gonna get a little taste of everything, but as a fan of Game Preview, I will be trying my best to share my thoughts on the game.
- So get your thoughts on the game and feel free to post your own impressions of the preview thread on Xbox.
- -----
- TheInfinityGauntlet: Would a Game Preview thread exist?
- -----
- KainXVIII: I'd personally be more opposed to it being a thread for regular gamers, but I'll admit it's nice to see people love the game.
- -----
- HououinKyouma: Can't wait.
- -----
- Dyle: Yeah I want to see this game on Xbone.
- -----
- Greebman: I'm really in the mood for this game and I'm interested in seeing what it's like on the Game Preview front.
- -----
- KainXVIII: My thoughts on the preview thread are:
- -----
- Becks': I'm so excited for this game.
- -----
- Yossarian: Damn I'm in.
- -----
- Echo: I'm hoping they're making the preview thread for Game Preview a permanent thing, but that's something I'm not interested in.

- ~!~How is Warframe?
- Spinky: I'm not talking about a lot of online games, I'm talking about Warframe, which is a fully fledged open world RPG engine that's been around for a few years. I'm talking about a company that made a blog post on how that game was made, and how it was done.
- It's basically a game that's still in early access, but it's pretty much free today.
- I think there are a lot of aspects that make it a good game, and I'm sure there's some parts that are kinda odd but at the same time, I'm not sure it's a bad game. Any thoughts?
- -----
- TheMoon: You can play it on PC and PS4.
- -----
- Spinky: That was the video it was posted, not the actual video.
- -----
- Spinky: I think it's an interesting concept, though I'm not sure why it'd be a problem with a game that was out in early access too.
- -----
- Spinky: A bit of a weird one, and I'd just say that, for whatever reason, it's not a bad game.
- -----
- Spinky: But yeah, I think it's a pretty good game, and I love how Devolver is pushing it to the limits.
- -----
- Mesoian: I know it's been around for a few years now, but I felt like it was a bit of a letdown.
- -----
- Echo: It's free but it's kind of weird. If I wanted to play it I would have to pay for a subscription and support for that.
- -----
- TheBaldEmperor: I think the game was out for a long time, they didn't shut it down in favour of free updates.
- -----
- KainXVIII: It's a fun game.
- -----
- R dott B: You should play it. It's one of the best FPS games I've played.

- ~!~What's the best way to play Kingdom Hearts 3 on PS4?
- Jraphics Horse: I'm wondering if anyone here has a good way to play it on the PS4.
- I'd like to play it on the PS4 using the PS Vita, since I have the Vita in my room and I'm playing it on that console.
- Which way should I play on it?
- I'd like to play it on the PS4, but I don't want to mess with the PS Vita.
- -----
- Khanimus: I would play it on the PS4 or PS Vita.
- -----
- Dreamboum: PS-to-Vita.
- -----
- Dekima: PS3 and PS Vita.
- -----
- Clive: Vita.
- -----
- Dekima: PS3.

- Nirolak: Please note that Miyamoto said this in the past, but in the future, that is not the stance of Miyamoto.
- -----
- Mr. Snuffleupagus: Well that's something for Miyamoto to hold up for the future.
- -----
- Orbital Edge: This is Miyamoto in a nutshell.
- -----
- Hamster Plugin: Miyamoto is coming out of retirement.
- -----
- Kyora90: Miyamoto is going to be gone.
- -----
- Gegz: But he's not retiring, he's retiring.
- -----
- LegalEagleMike: I don't know if I'm reading the full wrong but he's likely going to be retiring in a few months.
- -----
- Nightfall: I think the more Miyamoto comes out of retirement, the more I see the possibility of him leaving.
- -----
- Soriku: I'll miss him but I love him so much
- -----
- DailyCalmSpirit: Miyamoto is always my man.

- ~!~LTTP: Fallout 4 - My first Fallout game
- Kyoufu: I've been playing a lot of Fallout games lately, but I didn't really know anything about these games. I started with Fallout 2, and I decided to play through the 3 main games. I wanted to play Fallout 3, and I started with 3 and then started a new game. I finally finished 5, so I played through 5 and started a new game.
- I'm so excited for the new game, that I can't even begin to imagine what's to come. I'm not going to mention Fallout 4, but for me, it feels like Fallout 3 has been my favorite game of all time. The Creation Engine, the incredible world, and the lore.
- I'm playing the game on the first playthrough, and I'm just exploring it. The first thing I do is run into a guy. He's talking to me about his new building, and I tell him about how I'm in a massive wasteland called the Great Swamp. I ask him about the Creation Engine, and he tells me about a Lovecraftian setting. I ask about Fallout 4, and he tells me about the Burning Legion. He tells me about the Culdrass, the Necromorphs, the Lothric Dwarves, Bloodworshippers, and that's about it. He tells me about the Eldritch Abominations, the Augments, and that's about it.
- One of the things that bugged me is that I never had any idea what the last game was like. I don't know what 3 was like, but it was just a game. It was a game where you were tasked with protecting a city, and you had to do that with a faction, and you had to do that with a faction. It was just a game of fetch quests and quests to see the city it was in.
- The last thing I did was try to figure out what would happen if I went into a town and just found a corpse that I could see. I thought that would be a joke, but it turns out that it's actually a corpse, so I guess that's how it ends. Just the skeleton. I was like, "this is just a corpse, right?" And then I can't actually see it. It's just a weird little thing like a tree or something. It then turns out that it doesn't really matter where you go,

- ~!~Sega has sent out a newsletter for "The Best Sega Games" (in January 2018)
- Hero of Legend: Thanks to the people on this forum.
- -----
- Chie Satonaka91: I thought this was going to be about Sega Games. I didn't understand how people can do that.
- -----
- skittzo0413: It's kind of ironic that Sega first announced it was a Sega Games newsletter back in December, and then just the other month before that.
- -----
- Dyle: This is Sega Games, not Sega Game.
- -----
- Hero of Legend: It's interesting that Sega Games is a Sega Game business and it's their most successful game ever.
- -----
- DiipuSurotu: I've made a separate thread like this since Shin Megami Tensei 2 came out, but I never really thought it was Sega Game. Now that it seems to be coming to other platforms in the future, it's nice to see Sega Games have a presence in the gaming scene.
- -----
- Omar310: Uh yeah.

- Kokonoe:

- Noppie: Not at all.
- -----
- Dark Cloud: Fire Emblem: Three Houses?
- -----
- Lant_War: I never finished D:OS so I'm not sure if that's a mistake lol.
- -----
- Theorry: I don't really understand the distinction between a D rating and a SH rating.
- -----
- Mory Dunz: I think D rating is to let people know who the game is supposed to be.
- -----
- FluxWaveZ: D rating is the same as D rating. It's a game that will be sold out for 6 days or so.
- -----
- marzoo: if it's a game like the old one that's been out for 5 years what's the problem?

- ~!~PS4 May Update: DX12 will no longer be supported in this update
- Kenzodielocke: I don't see the reason why you need a new update to support this until you actually have a current version of the game which will run this version.
- -----
- Budi: Thanks, I'll upgrade.
- -----
- Kenzodielocke: Wow, I just got the 5.1.4 update and I'm quite happy with my performance.
- -----
- Pottuvoi: Thats a lot of work.... I was just thinking about upgrading to 4.2.1
- -----
- Sega Dreamcast:
- -----
- ChatonPute: Why can't you even make more hardware for the PS4?
- -----
- Chronospherics: I had no idea it was so buggy.
- If I only have a 2 TB external HDD I'll be able to keep it running.
- -----
- Cybersai: It's just a bug that would've been fixed by now.

- ~!~New Nintendo gaming accessories
- TheRaidenPT: I’ve been meaning to get a new gaming mouse, and I’m starting to feel that I’m not getting that quick with my new gaming mouse or any of the accessories.
- I’m not just talking about the ones that came out to replace the original ones that don’t work. If you bought an eShop mouse or two, what are those ones?
- I’m also not the only person who was disappointed with the new ones.

- ~!~Is No Man Sky worth playing? (Spoilers)
- Sesha: I've been playing on PC on a rig with a GTX 1070 and I'm most interested in the game. Is it worth playing with the GTX 1070 or the equivalent?
- -----
- Sesha: The game is at its best at 1080p/60fps, and for those who don't mind, the framerate drops to a bit of a crawl at 60fps. I'm not a fan of the viewport and don't want to see that resolution drop to the point where the game is downright unfun. Anyway, you can always go back, but as an upgrade, it's a little easier.
- -----
- nib95: It's a nice game but have you ever played the PSX version?
- It's just a collection of the PS1 games you could buy on PSN but never made it to the PSX version.
- -----
- Sesha: I haven't played it since the PSX version.
- -----
- Dynomutt: I'm loving the game. It's a mess and the PSX version is bloated, I'd recommend playing it on PS4. The PSX version is also really good.
- -----
- Nomada: It's not a good game, and the framerate doesn't get to where it should.
- -----
- Dysun: It's worth it.
- -----
- spineduke: It's not a bad game, but its just not worth it. I've done extremely well with that 980 Ti, so I'd say I'm pretty much fine with it.
- -----
- Zippro: It's a decent game, but still still not a masterpiece.

- ~!~Would you pay $25 a month for Minecraft?
- Arklite: I would definitely pay $25 for a game you buy to play online. If it's not $25, I would not pay anything to play it, because I would not pay anything for it.
- -----
- Hieroph: No, you would be paying for a game to play online.
- -----
- How About No: No
- -----
- Raijinto: Nah, I'd probably go for it on the cheap side, and see if it makes me feel good.
- -----
- Tattoo: No, for $20 a month.
- But I'd probably go for it if it was worth it, even if I don't like it or love it.
- -----
- SnatcherHunter: Nah, I pay $20 a month for Minecraft. I would put in $20 for $20 a month to play it. I'd pay $25 for a month.
- -----
- Slayven: I'd get $25 for $20 a month.
- -----
- Pankratous: Nah, I pay $20 a month for Minecraft and $20 for $30 a month.

- So I'll be playing this game on PS4, is it a good game to play on PS4? I'm not sure if I'll be able to play it yet, I'm not sure if I want to play it in full on PS4 or if I want to play it in full on the PS4.
- -----
- Drencrom: Yes it is.
- -----
- cw_sasuke: It's very different from the first game. It's not a spiritual successor; it's a spiritual successor.
- -----
- SuikerBrood: I don't think it'll be true on PS4, but I'm pretty excited about it given the fact that it's a spiritual successor.
- -----
- Phantom Thief: Yeah, it's on PS4.
- -----
- SuikerBrood: I was wondering if I should play it on PS4 or not. I'd actually prefer the PS4 version than the PS4 version.
- -----
- jviggy43: It's a spiritual sequel to the game I played on PS3.
- -----
- SolVanderlyn: It's been a while since I played the first game. I'm still getting used to the controls and it feels like I'm playing a spiritual sequel to the first game.

- ~!~THQ announces "singleplayer VR MMO" with a story about the importance of VR in the medium
- Theorry:
- -----
- Toumari: Interesting, I typically stick to singleplayer games.
- -----
- Datajoy: Is this a really good idea?
- I really want a single player VR MMO to be a thing, which sounds like a huge plus.
- -----
- Nerun: I mean, this is exactly what it's supposed to be, but it's pretty significant. They're making a single player MMO as a whole, with a big story about the importance of VR in the medium.
- -----
- Phantom Thief: Singleplayer is a dying genre, but it's still a big deal.
- -----
- Stopdoor: That's a very little thing to add to the pile of things you'd expect from a big publisher like THQ.
- -----
- Theorry: It's a big deal.
- -----
- Reedirect: I reckon it's a good idea. But I'm not sure it would be good for the genre.

- Equanimity: Link
- -----
- harz-marz: This, I think, would be a good place to start!
- -----
- Toumari: Well I guess Reggie's own GameSpot is still on the site, and it's not a big site but it's pretty much been up and down. They're up and down.
- -----
- Raide: Reggie is still the GameSpot guy.
- -----
- Eolz: Reggie and Shawn are an independent studio, right?
- -----
- Kenzodielocke: Reggie's been a Nintendo dev for years. Shawn's still the Wii U guy.

- Soulflarz: Been a while since I've played a Nintendo Switch but damn.
- I've been itching to play some Switch games this summer and was wondering if there's any info about the Switch version.
- I'm assuming it's probably the base game but perhaps there's a port of the base version.

- KainXVIII: Hmm I'll go with the Switch version.

- ~!~What games should be on Switch at launch (and early 2019)
- MCD: Switch launching at the same time as PS4 and XBO, and it's going to be a great year for the Nintendo library.
- Now let's talk about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and more.
- But the question is: what games will release on Switch before the end of the year? And what games will release on Switch early 2019?
- I'm not talking about an early 2019 release, but the full year of 2019.
- -----
- Boy Wander: I'm surprised Nintendo hasn't announced a release window for the Switch version of Red Dead Redemption 2. It's been amazing to see such a great game come out on the Switch.
- -----
- Broken Joystick: I'm not including "New" games
- -----
- BubbleButt64: I'd like to know your opinion on the Switch version of BotW
- -----
- nogoodnamesleft: I understand Square Enix doesn't have the rights, but I would like to see Zelda on the system.
- -----
- neon_dream: I'm confused.
- -----
- Dancrane212: I don't think we'll see a release window for Breath of the Wild, but a release window for Red Dead Redemption 2.
- -----
- Cybersai: If they are still working on the Switch version of Starlink Battle Royale, I think they will announce a release window. If it's not already announced, then I think we'll see a release window.

- Hobbes: It's been three years since Sonic the Hedgehog released and it still looks pretty good.
- I mean, I love the gameplay but I really, really enjoyed the gameplay in Sonic 5.
- -----
- Oheao: I would say I'm in the clear when it comes to the gameplay.
- -----
- CormoranStrike: Honestly, I just want the Sonic 4 Sonic games with a good soundtrack. Those are my two favorite games on the system.
- -----
- Razor Mom: Is it good? I'm not a fan of the gameplay, but it seems like a good game.
- -----
- Zukuu: I'm looking at it on sale now for $30 and am super tempted to get it when it releases next month.
- -----
- Hobbes: I'm not too sure but, I suppose I would say it's a good game.
- -----
- Hobbes: Yeah I can't really say much, but Sonic Generations has a lot of Sonic elements.
- -----
- Koozek: A nice little gem that has made me appreciate the Sonic series and the series as a whole.

- Foffy: It's great.

- Zukuu: It's on sale, and it's one of the best Sonic games ever.

- ~!~Which of the 3 main Xbox exclusives is the best?
- Ahasverus: As a Playstation fan I think it's fair to say that the games in the next Xbox must be, at least for now, very much worth playing.
- With Xbox One X's release, I realized just how much of a disappointment I was in my purchase of Xbox One X. I had initially anticipated that Sony would be dropping the game, but instead, they left me with a feeling that I was wasting my time on the PS4 version.
- Just what a mess. I'm not even going to try to explain what happened here.

- TheInfinityGauntlet: Horizon: Zero Dawn is probably the best game ever made

- K.Jack: Horizon Zero Dawn.

- ResetGreyWolf: Game Pass
- -----
- 60EffPeeEss: Horizon Zero Dawn, honestly I think it's the best game ever made. And it's not even close.

- Strings: All I really want to say is that I don't think games on Xbox will ever be much better than those on PS4.

- BocoDragon: I would say Horizon Zero Dawn is the best game ever made.

- ~!~Hey, I hope this helps me with a game I just haven't myself played.
- Planet: I'm about 30 hours in in The Witcher 3 and I just finished The Witcher 2. I've finished all the main quests and the sidequests in the Witcher 1 and Witcher 2. I've beaten all of Ardyn's secret areas and all of the main quests in the Witcher 3. I'm currently playing through the Witcher 3: Song of Ice and Fire and I'm currently playing the Witcher 4 (I'm playing it now but I haven't finished the main story yet). I've gotten to the point where I'm not really feeling the "time is up" part of the game.
- I've gotten to the point where I feel like I'm in a timeline where the main quest of The Witcher 3 is just about done and I'm not really feeling the "time is up" part of the game. It's not a bad thing, but it's not something I want to do.
- I've got a few more hours and I'm about to play through The Witcher 3: The Witcher Card Game.
- I'm currently playing through the first two games (3 and 4) and it feels like I'm not really feeling the time is up part of the game. I'm essentially playing a game where I'm playing a few minutes of Witcher 3, and I'm now in the middle of Witcher 3: The Witcher Card Game, so I'm not really feeling the time is up part of the game.
- I'm currently playing through 2 and The Witcher 3: The Witcher Card Game.
- I'm currently playing through Witcher 2, The Witcher 3: The Witcher Card Game, The Witcher 3: The Witcher Card Game, The Witcher 3: The Witcher Card Game, and The Witcher 3: The Witcher Card Game (not counting the parts of Witcher 3 I played).

- ~!~Windows 10 Insider Preview VIP Items
- Oracle: This week I’m making my way through the Windows Insider Preview and I’m noticing that Windows 10 Insider Preview VIP items are now available for $10 off. This is a great deal, because it includes one of the biggest features of the Windows 10 Insider Preview: a legacy Microsoft app for your Windows 10.
- Since a few weeks I’ve been getting a lot of Windows Insider Previews for free (and I’m going to redeem this to get my Windows 10 Pro & xCloud) so I’m looking to get one of these VIPs for $10 off.
- Also, I’m not sure if this is a good deal for the Windows 10 Insider Preview (one of those features I’m very fond of) but if it does it makes a few bucks a month, so that’s a good deal.
- -----
- Kamiyouni: I’m gonna be getting these on PC.
- -----
- Kouriozan: How is the Insider Preview not available on PC?
- -----
- Mandos: They are already available on PC, but you don't have to sign into your account.
- -----
- Mojito: I'm on xCloud, so I'll definitely be getting these.
- -----
- SunBroDave: You can get the VIPs for $10 off.
- -----
- Rychu: That sucks.
- -----
- Lord of Ostia: That's not really a bad deal.

- ~!~So what's with all the talk of a new xbox exclusive?
- Expy: I'm curious about what's going on with the xbox exclusive, and what the hell is going on with the xbox exclusive.
- Now, I'm sure there's a lot of talk about how xbox exclusive is a bad thing, but it's been a while since I saw so much talk about xbox exclusive, and now it seems that a new xbox exclusive is coming.
- Recently, I saw a video of folks talking about "what if" with xbox exclusive, and they also showed a new xbox exclusive for PC.
- The new xbox exclusive will be a bundle of the xbox exclusives 1-2, and a PlayStation exclusive for the PS4.
- Is this a new xbox exclusive, or something that's likely to happen soon?
- -----
- LazyLain: I've always wanted xbox exclusives, but I never got around to it.
- -----
- CarthOhNoes: I remember when the first one was announced.
- -----
- Lashley: Was a good deal, but I never bought it.
- -----
- ThisIsBlitz21: The xbox exclusive was a bit of a weird decision. I expected the PS4 to have the same kind of exclusivity as the xbox exclusive, but it didn't.
- -----
- hibikase: I thought the ps4 exclusive was a weird decision.
- -----
- Chandler: They have a new generation of consoles, and xbox exclusives are a lot of fun
- -----
- Lashley: Some of the comments were more negative than positive, maybe?
- -----
- hibikase: I think it was less positive than positive.
- Some of the comments were more negative than positive, maybe?
- -----
- Hektor: I don’t think that even an xbox exclusive is bad. It’s that good.

- ~!~What do you think of the VR versions of Monster Hunter World and The Witcher 3?
- ReyVGM: I don't like the idea of the format. I think it's the same old same old.
- I'd rather they go with a single player experience with a single player character.
- -----
- Zippo: I'd like them to do a single player experience with a single player character. I think it's cool that they want to try and be better than the series itself.
- -----
- Kouriozan: They have to do it in a way that is fun and fun to watch.
- -----
- muteKi: I love Monster Hunter World.
- -----
- Hamster Plugin: Just make a new game in the style of Monster Hunter and bring back the old monster hunter games. Just add a new single player experience.
- -----
- ReyVGM: I'd rather it be single player. Customize your character and mix the different weapons and monsters, do a new type of monster and add more weapons and monsters to your game.
- -----
- jkm23: I think they can do that.
- -----
- Briarios: The difficulty of the singleplayer stuff is impossible, and if they go that route it's going to be a black box experience.
- -----
- Lashley: Please do it.
- -----
- low-G: I respect that you have a choice.

- ~!~LTTP: Dead Cells
- Fortinbras: I was working on Mad Max, and I decided to try and revisit the game that I had played a bit back in the day — the original Dead Cells, and it was my first experience with a real-time shmup shooter.
- I realized it was a game that took a long time to develop, and I wanted to play it on a loooong time scale, which is a huge shame, because I was so used to it that I ended up playing it at my own pace during the first few hours of a game like this, and it was fun playing it in a time where my time was limited.
- It's a game that brings back a lot of memories, especially when you finally get to experience it the first time. I would probably be completely blown away if I played it again, or even paused the game. There was that time before you had to spend a whole day on the ground floor of a building, and the second you got to the floor, and there wasn't a bit of time to play, because there was no fire to be seen, or any other surprises.
- I was so used to the game's open-world design that I sometimes felt like I was playing a shmup game and not actually playing it. But I was so used to that design that it was a major shift in my gaming experience.
- I somehow managed to make my way through Dead Cells and hit the wall on the first level, and I loved it. I was so used to that game's open-world design that I even put it on the top of my list of games I want to play someday.
- I had a lot of fun with it, and I liked it a lot, too. I recently saw Dead Cells on sale on PS4, and it was a great experience. I've come to love Soma, whereas I've never played it myself.
- -----
- Kyoufu: That’s a really good game.
- -----
- Megatron: I can't think of a single shmup game that's been more fun to play than Dead Cells. You're not supposed to make a shmup game now.
- -----
- Gunny T Highway: Dead Cells is one of my favourite games of all time, but I've never played it myself so I don't know if it's nostalgia for the good old days.

- ~!~How long would it take for Activision Blizzard to bring Overwatch to the Switch?
- Mbolga: The average length of a new Overwatch game is roughly six months.
- It's interesting, I imagine that the game would be perfect for a Switch release.
- I'm not sure how long it would take for the game to release on the Switch, but I imagine that it would take a few months for it to release on Switch.
- How long would it take to release on the Switch?
- -----
- Abdul Malik Ka'bah: It would take a few months to launch.
- -----
- Rushersauce: They wouldn't have the time or resources to do it once it was out
- -----
- kubev: It would take at least a year to bring the game on Switch.
- -----
- The Almighty Tria: It would be a dream come true.
- I'd imagine they'd be severely limited in how they can handle it, but it'd be a huge undertaking.
- -----
- woopWOOP: That's why I love the Switch so much. Can't wait for this.
- -----
- Alastor3: I imagine it would take a few months
- -----
- Jawbreaker: And it wouldn't be the game that takes like a year to release.
- -----
- Weiss: I think they'd have to put in about 3-4 months for it to be a thing.
- -----
- Vinc: They would need to do it at least three times.

- ~!~Your favorite Game Boy Colour Gameboy Advance port?
- Meelow: I'm looking for a Game Boy Advance port for my Game Boy. I bought a Gameboy Advance (at least a few of my older ones) and I loved my Game Boy Advance. I really wanted to play a 32 bit game, but this was the only one I could find and I wanted to play it on my Game Boy Pocket.
- Are you a Game Boy Advance port?

- Blackleg-sanji1: Yes, I’m a sucker for portables.

- Is this a 32 bit game?

- Meelow: Yes, I'd say that. I'm a sucker for ports.

- ~!~RTTP: Fallout 76
- The Artisan: I've been playing Fallout 76 a lot and even though I have played a few hours in it in the past, I never finished it. I got to the point where I had to ditch everything and just play Fallout 4. I also beat the campaign and was met with a nice story and world. I guess that's why it's Fallout 76.
- I've been following Bethesda for a while and I'm curious which franchise they've inspired you to play. Is there any particular franchise that you've enjoyed the most?
- -----
- FluxWaveZ: I loved Fallout 76, and I think I'll just read the OP to see what's yours. And then I'll add mods and see what interests me. I recommend trying to go through every Fallout game's story, but I don't think you'll even beat the campaign.

- Nabbit: Good on AMD.

- Razor Mom: I hope this means the next AC game is coming to Switch too.
- -----
- SofNascimento: Well, that's good news. I am excited.
- -----
- Panther2103: Well that's good news. In fact, I thought the announcement of the next AC would be coming in the next few months.
- -----
- DriftingSpirit: The AC series is selling really well, so I'm glad to see it's getting that treatment.
- -----
- ASleepingMonkey: Yeah, I'm hyped, but I'm still not sold on it. I'm excited for AC Odyssey, but not looking to get another AC game.
- -----
- BubbleButt64: holy shit, this is incredible

- ~!~Best of E3 2018
- Kazoku_: With the exception of the recent PAX East and PAX West, I was on the same path of enjoying E3 with a friend.
- We had a blast with the game, it's not even close.
- -----
- Joshg23: The best games were the ones that sold well.
- -----
- kennyamr: That's a really good point, it sold pretty damn well.
- -----
- Dead Man Typing: I can't wait to see what the team is going to do next and why they're taking the time to make the game.
- -----
- Blackleg-sanji1: it looks so good to me
- -----
- Kokonoe: This is really awesome. I hope they'll keep the momentum going forward
- -----
- NKnight7: Fantastic game, it had a lot of quality of life improvements.

- ~!~Does anyone know how big the Switch stands?
- KoolAid: I'm about halfway through the game and I'm wondering if I should get a Switch for this.
- I know this is a big thing for the Switch but I've heard that the Switch is more than a tad small compared to the Vita, but I'm wondering how big the Switch stands in comparison to the Vita.
- -----
- CaviarMeths: I'd rather have a Vita for physical games, but yeah.
- -----
- Mbolibombo: I would say the Switch stands a bit more than the Vita.
- -----
- Toumari: The biggest thing is that it's essentially a portable.
- -----
- Deleted member 15538: no, the Vita is bigger.
- -----
- JK-Money: Vita is the size of a car
- -----
- Sander VF: Vita is thicker.
- -----
- Sargerus: As long as you can handle the battery, it's totally fine.
- -----
- Mbolibombo: Vita is bigger, but the Vita is small.
- -----
- KoolAid: Its a literal literal size.

- ~!~RTTP: Smash Bros: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (3DS)
- BronsonLee: It's a game that I've been meaning to put down for a while, and now I'm finally enjoying it. I've been playing Smash 4 with my friends and I'm hoping to play with the regular Switch version. I'll get into Smash 4 when I get a Switch, but I really haven't had time to play this game yet. I'll keep my eye on it and see how it turns out.
- -----
- Kamiyouni: I'm being a bitch, I grew up with the Wii U and played on the GameCube. This game is great, but it has so many flaws and characters that it's not the same as the WiiU version.
- -----
- SirKai: I just played Smash Bros Ultra. I have a soft spot for Smash and Smash Wii U, but I'm not sure I want to play with the regular Switch version.
- -----
- L Thammy: My problem is that Smash 4 is fine, I haven't played the Wii U version so I can't really complain about that.
- -----
- Majiebeast: How do you play Smash as a 4 player?
- -----
- Nemesis162: I played that for a while, so I'm waiting for the Switch version to come out, but I'm still waiting for the Switch version to come out.
- -----
- Meowster: I like Smash 4 a lot, but I don't like the Switch version. I want to play with the regular Switch version.
- -----
- Majiebeast: I played in the Wii U version and I'm not sure if I like it or not. I was told it was OK, but I don't think I'm liking it.
- -----
- Majiebeast: I was told the Switch version is OK, barely.

- ~!~Anyone else think about the possibility of a Gamecube 2?
- sir_crocodile: I'm not saying it won't happen, but I'm thinking of the possibility of a Gamecube 2. We're playing on a Game Cube.
- I don't think a gamecube 2 would be a hell of a thing.
- -----
- Deleted member 11093: I'd be fine with it, but I guess the chances of it happening are pretty slim.

- Deleted member 11093: I guess there's a chance of them happening, but I dunno, I'm not sure.

- ~!~What's the best way to play games on Switch?
- Zippo: I know I'm going to need to buy a Switch to play my favourite games on the switch, but I'd like to spend some money on the Switch Pro and test it out.
- I'm not really a big fan of the one-size-fits-all approach of buying Nintendo games on disc or in digital format on my Switch, but I'd like to see what the best way is for Switch owners to play their favorite games on the Switch.

- ~!~In case you're planning to buy an Xbox One for BC (and possibly 2018)
- vestan: This is the thread to discuss whether you should play on your system or buy an Xbox One for BC.
- It has been discussed previously that a number of games allow them to support BC since the start, but Microsoft isn't exactly selling all their games on their platform.
- There's already a thread on the topic, but it seems that Microsoft isn't exactly doing pretty well on BC with their crowdsourced BC initiative.
- There's currently at least two threads on this topic, and a third thread is up on it's own, but I'm going to focus on the positive side of things here and discuss why I think this is the best way to play on your system.
- I'm mainly talking about games that support BC, not just games that don't.
- Which games on your system would you recommend?
- -----
- ~Fake: The ones that do support it but are not available for free.
- -----
- Bhonar: Halo CE was BC, but it has been 12 years since the last Xbox game. This is the only game I own with BC, which is good enough for me.
- -----
- Van Bur3n: Halo CE has a BC version of Halo 3 with a bonus DLC.
- -----
- Starlatine: I would say go for cross play in the past
- -----
- daniel77733: The Halo 1 Anniversary Collection isn't BC, but the original Xbox 360 still supports it.
- -----
- Gegz: Halo CE has really long-lasting BC, but I would recommend skipping that and just playing it on your Xbox.
- -----
- vestan: The only thing Halo CE doesn't have is Halo CE.
- -----
- Liam1884: You'd think Halo would be BC to begin with but no.
- -----
- The Real Jeremy: Halo CE is basically Halo 2 on PS4, PS3 & 360 BC.
- -----
- JaeCryo: Halo CE is the best in the series. Halo 2 in particular is a nice improvement over the original.

- ~!~Twitch Plays Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee announced
- Dark Cloud: They have announced that they will be releasing the first two games on the Switch in the coming months.
- Source:
- -----
- Dancrane212: I guess it's not really that big of a deal, but I'd rather see a Pokemon game in the late 2020s like Let's Go.
- Twitch Plays Pokemon is one of my absolute favorite games of the last decade. It's a Pokemon spinoff that copies Pokemon games but has a lot of new content and is written entirely in a language that the originals are unable to translate.
- -----
- Khanimus: That's a lot of money for the devs and a lot of money for the devs.
- -----
- KillstealWolf: Wow that's quite a lot of money in that first month.
- -----
- GiantHurtBall: These kind of things don't happen often.
- -----
- sibarraz: I'm going to buy a new copy of the game on Switch for $10, and then I'll buy a new copy of the game on Switch.
- -----
- Sheepinator: I'm curious how they have to include all of these elements.
- -----
- Dark Cloud: That's a lot of money.
- -----
- GiantHurtBall: I'm curious how they have to add all of these elements.
- -----
- Shauni: This is the kind of thing that's going on every time there's a video game.

- I wonder if the PS4 version of The Last of Us 2 will have a release window of at least a year?

- Glio: Nah. The Last of Us has been out for 3 years now and it's not even the 10th game in the series.
- -----
- Nuclearaddict: I'll take the Ps4 version.
- -----
- Toumari: I'll pick the PS4 version.
- -----
- daxy: That's really impressive.

- ~!~Video game music I miss
- SantaC: I love video game music and the genres are varied enough that it's not surprising seeing them to be in pop music. What are some examples?
- -----
- Treasure Silvergun: I have a really good idea of what genre I'm going to be playing. I'm not sure what genre we're playing in, but I'm definitely interested in hear some tunes from the genre I'm playing.
- -----
- Jawmuncher: The most recent LPs I've listened to was for Sonic 06, which is head and shoulders above most of the Sonic soundtracks I've heard. I don't think I'll ever hear a Smash game soundtrack with LPs in it again, but I'm leaning more in the direction that I like doing it when playing video games.
- -----
- MondoMega: The Chorus EP from Sonic 6 is a good one.
- -----
- SofNascimento: I can't play Sonic games for the music it gives off. I wanna know if the tracks are OST?
- -----
- SaberVS7: The title of that thread is a little more cryptic than the title of the OP, but I'm not sure. I'd like to know what you guys think about Sonic and the Secret Rings.
- -----
- Dario: The first one that came to mind in my head when I played it was my favourite Sonic track, and finished Sonic 06. I love it so much that I even made a Sonic CD cover.
- -----
- L Thammy: The title of the thread is a little confusing.
- They'll probably change it to something more subtle or whatever, but that's what I'm thinking.
- -----
- StarPhlox: The theme of Sonic has always been the theme of Sonic games.

- ~!~Sea of Thieves: Why The Owners Of Bethesda's New IP Are And Have Been The Most Discriminatory People About Their Choice
- DieH@rd: I've noticed that most of the comments on this site are about the publisher's racial bias and how they keep changing shit up to make it look better.
- I was wondering if anyone here worked on Sea of Thieves and whether Bethesda's games have had a particularly negative impact on them regarding their race or just how the games work.
- -----
- The Almighty Tria: I feel like this is one of the only games that gives a shit about not being gay or a minority (and I'm not).
- -----
- Mediking: They had a white man in them, and they went through hell and back.
- -----
- 808s & Villainy: I'm not sure if this is a publisher bias thread though, but I do feel like it, and I'm not sure if it's a minority bias thread, but yeah, I'm not sure.
- -----
- The Almighty Tria: Yes, they have had a lot of white men in them too.
- -----
- Mendrox: I remember when they were in the first place.
- -----
- The Almighty Tria: I can't remember exactly. But yeah I agree with you on some points.
- -----
- NeoZeedeater: I spent hours on this game and it still looks pretty awful.
- -----
- DanteLinkX: No, they have had a white man (or woman) in their games.

- ~!~[Poll] Should the PlayStation Classic feature backwards compatibility?
- Superman2x7: Hey everyone,
- Since I'm going to be playing some games on my Vita today, I'm hoping some day that the PlayStation Classic will have backwards compatibility, as I love the Vita very much.
- Given that Vita is the best handheld, I think it would be a great feature to have. It's perfect for games like Dark Souls or Monster Hunter, but it also offers some extra functionality that is difficult to justify on the PS Classic (like the ability to play local multiplayer and save/load your PSP/Genesis games).
- To me, the PS Classic can do something even more amazing. It can tell you if a game is playable on your Vita. It can tell you if the game you want to play is actually playable or not. If it's not, then you can go back and play that game to save on your Vita. It can even tell you if the game you want to play is actually playable on your Vita.
- So what are your thoughts on this?
- -----
- takoyaki: It would be nice to have a platform where games were only playable on one platform.
- -----
- TheBaldEmperor: I think it would be nice. I would love to have a time machine where games are playable on the PS Classic and when I want to play something, I can just play a game on the Vita and have it work.
- -----
- Ganado: I don't think it would be "fun" to have a platform where you can't play them on the PS Classic.
- -----
- Chauzu: I'd like to see an option for "PlayStation Classic" to see if there's already a PS Classic on the PSN store (e.g. PS3/PS2/PSP/PSP2/PSP) but, at the same time, if there isn't.
- -----
- Kraken3dfx: I think it would be amazing. It could be a PS Classic Vita by itself, but with PSNow you'd be able to play games from any of the legacy systems.
- -----
- TheBaldEmperor: Yeah that would be nice.
- -----
- Kraken3dfx: How would that work ? Would you have to buy the PSN store adapter?

- sibarraz: Nah, it'd only work with PSNow, but if

- misho8723: From Nintendo's official website:
- About the game that Nintendo is working on:
- -----
- Nights: What's weird is that it's not even announced yet. But it's already been announced.
- -----
- shaneo632: I'm betting this game will be released on Xbox and Switch.
- -----
- Dyle: I know the quality of Nintendo support is actually very good - the Switch and Wii U games are one of my favorite Nintendo franchises. How much of that is known is a mystery.
- -----
- misho8723: Yet another sign that Nintendo is pushing Nintendo games out into the future.
- -----
- Oheao: I'm guessing it's the Switch version.
- -----
- Nights: That's weird.
- -----
- Borman: I'm assuming it's the Switch version.
- -----
- Smash-It Stan: Yes, this is a big if and they are working on it.
- -----
- Oheao: I suspect the Switch version is just the Switch version. They're also working on a port of the game for the Switch.

- ~!~I played the original Doom 1.7 on the PS3 for 3 hours
- Wololo: I've played the original Doom 1.7 on the PS3 since it came out in 2007, back when it was only available on the PSOne.
- I'm pretty sure it was a buggy mess. Some glitches, some glitches, and some glitches to the point where it's actually unplayable. The game looked beautiful in the PS3 version, but the resolution patch didn't fix it.
- I'm actually really glad I didn't have to play through the original Doom 1.7 at all.
- What are some of your impressions of the original version?
- -----
- Mr.Deadshot: I didn't even know it had a 32-bit port. It's arguably my most played game of all time.
- -----
- Mauricio_Magus: I'm glad it's still alive, it was my first Doom and I'm ashamed of myself for not playing it.
- -----
- SapientWolf: I'd say the original Doom 1.7 is one of my most played game of all time, and I was surprised it didn't look better or worse than the PS1 version. It also looks beautiful on the PS3 version, and the PS3 version is absolutely gorgeous.
- -----
- Mauricio_Magus: Yeah, I was blown away by the extent of the game's performance on the PS3 version.
- -----
- DeuceGamer: I played it on my PS3, but I can't recall what it looked like in the PS3 version. I know a lot of people who have the original on PC for the PC version.
- -----
- Brock Reiher: I had to play the original on the PS3, but it's been out for almost a month now. It's still a beautiful game, obviously, but the resolution patch was the only fix I had to go with.
- -----
- Broken Joystick: I got the original on PS3, and it's a game that was really fun to play. I still have a lot of games in that list on the PS3 for that, but I'll wait for the full patch.
- -----
- Lelouch0612: I've played through it on my OG PS3 and it was really fun. I'll probably play it again on the PS4 with the fixed resolution patch.

- ~!~What is the biggest difference between a new console and the old console?
- BAD: I've moved from my PS3 500GB to my PS4 500GB, and recently bought a PS4 Slim, but the biggest difference between them is that I've bought my PS4 Slim with a brand new console with a brand new controller.
- I actually purchased my PS4 Slim with a brand new controller, but when I saw the price on Amazon, I decided to go with the new console, because I thought it would be a more convenient way to take my PS4 with me. I've bought my PS4 Slim with a brand new controller and swapped out the controller for the new controller, and I'm guessing that they will also be compatible with the PS4 version of the PS4.
- But what are the biggest differences between the new console and the old console?
- -----
- BAD: I went with the PS4 Slim!
- -----
- the-pi-guy: The PS4 Slim is the most convenient way to buy games on PS4 and PS4. However, when you look at the price of the console, the PS4 Slim is actually a better deal.
- -----
- Grunge_Hamster: The PS4 Slim is an inferior console.
- -----
- BAD: This actually is a good point. The PS4 Slim was a great deal, and the PS4 Slim is a beast.
- -----
- Shahadan: It's more than a little bit better.
- -----
- BAD: I wasn't sure if this was a typo or not. Either way, it's a pretty good deal.
- -----
- BAD: That's not a typo. It's a typo.
- -----
- Dark Cloud: Not many people know that a PS4 Slim is compatible with the PS4.
- -----
- The Last One: The PS4 Slim is the best way to play an PS4 and a PS4. It's not a bad deal, but it's not worth the price.

- Chairmanchuck: The price has been slashed from $199.99 to $199.99.
- This makes the 3DS XL the only 3DS XL to be discontinued on the market for the 3rd quarter, and it's the only Switch entry that is available from this price point.
- The price of the other 3DS XL entries has been reduced to $199.99 from $199.99, and has no impact on other 3DS entries.
- -----
- jdmonmou: Looks like the 3DS XL will be discontinued in the coming months.
- -----
- JusDoIt: They're at least $84.99.
- -----
- KojiKnight: That's a good price for a 3DS XL, but I guess it'll be a part of the future of the 3DS.
- -----
- ThiagoJG: I've been waiting for this for a long time. I haven't been able to get my 3DS XL to work on my switch.

- mrmickfran: That's a good price for a 3DS.

- Porygon: Why can't I get my 3DS XL to work on Switch?

- ~!~The best way to play a game is through the gamecube
- Vipu: I have been playing a few games in the Pokemon series for a few years now, and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a way to play the gamecube games on the system.
- My main idea would be to play through the gamecube games on the system with a single stick or equivalent. It would be a less taxing method than the way you would play the games on the Wii or Wii U, but it would be simpler to play through the games on a single stick as opposed to the way you are playing the games on the Wii U/Wii.
- -----
- Datajoy: It's a great idea, as long as you can play the game with a single controller.
- I don't think it would be ideal, but it would be fun to do.
- -----
- Memento: You can play the gamecube games with one stick.
- -----
- Velocity:Design:Comfort: It's a great idea with a few drawbacks, but it's a good idea.

- dadjumper: It's a great idea.
- -----
- Thrill_house: You can stream it on Twitch to your Wii U and a Wii Remote.
- -----
- Spine Crawler: Well, no Wii U?
- -----
- Yoshi: Play with a single stick.
- -----
- Blablurn: I'd say it's a great idea, but you'd need some sort of thumbstick to get it working.

- ~!~What are some good games to play on Switch??
- Joseki: I'm playing Splatoon 2 for the first time and I'm loving it, but I'm not sure I like what I'm playing. It's a fun game but it's not exactly a racing game. I don't feel like I'm getting to a point where I want to complete the game and then jump back to the main menu. I'm also torn between Diablo 3 and PoW.
- I'm wondering what other good games I should play on Switch.
- -----
- Kyoufu: Diablo 3
- -----
- Theswweet: Diablo 3 is a good game.
- -----
- Van Bur3n: I doubt Diablo 3 will be ported to PC.
- -----
- kennyamr: Diablo 3 for Switch is pretty fun.
- -----
- janusff: D3 is the best game on the Switch.
- -----
- Joseki: It's a good game, but I haven't played it yet.
- -----
- TheInfinityGauntlet: D3 is the best game on Switch
- -----
- Xevan-Gevoian: Diablo 3 is amazing.
- -----
- Zacmortar: Diablo 3 is a must play on Switch.

- ~!~Nintendo Switch Online Game Packaging leaks
- New Fang:
- -----
- mrmickfran: Interesting. Nintendo has been doing a great job on this. I would buy this on Switch and have games that aren't on pack-in games like Time Extend.
- -----
- The-Depth-In-Us: I hope they can make a sales spreadsheet and it's the only way to compare to a game list, so that people can compare their own list to the sales list.
- -----
- Lackless: Interesting!
- -----
- yuoke: This is probably the first thing they will do.
- -----
- Green Slime King: Damn, I want to know how these sales stacks up on Switch
- -----
- MMarston: Nintendo Online is the best.
- -----
- New Fang: It's more of a marketing strategy than it is a game list.
- -----
- Dark Cloud: Because they don't have the money to make new games for Switch, they won't be making any of their own stuff. The biggest thing they will do is sell Nintendo Online bundles and digital editions of their games. Now it's very easy to make a thing with the Switch and then just sell it. Makes me glad their games are all digital so they can get them digital.

- ~!~Storm: Arcane Collection Switch will have a Q1 2019 release
- Sesha: Release date:
- -----
- Frox: Nice, seems to be going to a physical release.
- -----
- Cartridge Games: No physical version? I feel like a physical release is in the cards.
- -----
- Kokonoe:
- -----
- UtterlyDan: It's a shame that this is coming to a physical release.
- -----
- Dahbomb: They've produced a really nice looking game for the Switch.
- -----
- Kirbivore: Nice, so I guess it's on the cards.
