L-elf: ...They’re nearly ready to depart.

ここに置いていた[カタフラクト]の装備を
取りに来たんだ」
Haruto: Yeah. Inaho and the others are here for the [Kataphrakt] equipment they left behind.

L-elf: (Inaho Kaizuka... This is the man that could accurately predict my actions and decisively react to them.)

Inaho: (I assume he’s here to see me in person.)

Inko: (Unn... You can cut the tension with a knife...)

みんな、大変だと思うけど…どうか無事で」
Inaho: ...Well, we should be going. I know you have a lot to deal with but... Stay safe, everyone.

「あなた達もね」
Saki: Same goes to you guys.

Haruto: I wonder if we’ll ever see each other again?

Inaho: There’s no way to know for sure.

L-elf: (It’s undeniable that extreme coincidences have repeatedly occurred. Furthermore, the Gates connecting the different worlds are not natural phenomenon. The possibility of an entity causing them voluntarily is high.)

Torres: We’ve finishing loading everything, Captain.

ブライト
「オケアノスはどうか?」
Bright: And the Oceanus?

トーレス
「いつでも出航できる状態です」
Torres: Ready to go at any time, sir.

ブライト
「では、全艦に通達。
これより地球へ向かう」
Bright: Then notify all ships. We’re departing for Earth.

ミサト
(若い子達を残して行くのは
後ろ髪が引かれる思いだけど…)
Misato: (I can’t help but feel nervous about leaving these kids to fend for themselves...)

ミサト
(彼らのことは[テイワズ]やモンターク商会に
託すしかないわね…)
Misato: (I guess we’ll just have to trust [Teiwaz] and the Montag Company to take care of them from here on...)

Kyo: ...

シズノ
「ハルト達のことが心配なの?」
Shizuno: You’re worried about Haruto and his friends?

キョウ
「そりゃあな。
あいつら、世界のほとんどを
敵に回してんだからよ…」
Kyo: How could I not be? They’ve got most of the world against them...

シマ
「だが、彼らには強い意志がある」
Shima: Yes, but their determination is strong.

キョウ
「意志、ねえ…。
会長が根性論を持ち出すとは思わなかったぜ」
Kyo: Determination, huh...I didn’t think I’d hear you say something like that, Student Council President.

シマ
「仲間を失うという痛みを乗り越え、
意志と言葉で光を示した。
彼らは自らの力で未来を切り開くだろう」
Shima: Though they have lost friends, they have surmounted that loss and brought about hope with their determination and their words. They have the power to shape their future with their own hands.

キョウ
「まあ、そうだろうけど…
もう少し力になってやりたかったぜ」
Kyo: Well, I get what you mean... I just wish I could have helped a bit more.

シズノ
「私達は、私達がやるべきことをやるだけよ。
[ガルズオルム]の手が及ばない、
新たな希望の地を見つけ出す…」
Shizuno: We have something we must do as well. Find a new, hope-filled land, free from the [GARDS-ORM]’s reach...

シズノ
「それに、これで会えなくなるとは思えないし」
Shizuno: Besides, we may see them again someday.

キョウ
「ゲートがあるからか?
けど、あれは消えちまうことがあるだろ」
Kyo: Because of the Gates? But, can’t those disappear at any time?

メイウー
「ホント、ゲートって
いったい何なんだろ?」
May-Yu: On that note, what really are these Gates?

シマ
「あれは我々にとって福音でもあり、災いでもある。
新天地への希望であると同時に、ガルズオルムの
脅威が並行世界へ拡がるおそれもある」
Shima: They are both a source of great fortune and great peril. While it brings about the possibility of finding a new land, it comes with the risk of the GARDS-ORM threat spreading across parallel worlds.

メイイェン
「そんなのが現実になったら…」
May-Yen: If that really happens then...

シマ
「我々はゲートの発生や消失原因、
接続先の世界の調査も続けねばならない」
Shima: That is why we must continue to investigate what causes the Gates to appear and disappear, as well as the worlds they connect to.

キョウ
「そういや、これから行く世界には、
俺達の世界に繋がってるゲートがあったな」
Kyo: That reminds me, in the world we’re going to, there’s a Gate that connects to ours.

メイウー
「確か…[第3新東京市]、だっけ?」
May-Yu: That’s right... It’s in [Tokyo-3], right?

シマ
「今のところ、ガルズオルムは並行世界への
侵攻はしていないようだが…予断は許されない」
Shima: For the time being, it appears that GARDS-ORM have not invaded parallel worlds... But we can’t be certain of that.

シマ
(特にオルムウィルス…。
あれを他の世界にまで持ち込まれては…。
それだけは阻止せねば…)
Shima: (That is something we must prevent at all costs. Especially in regards to the ORM Virus... If that were to spread to other worlds...)

キョウ
「[NERV]が管理してるんだろ、あそこのゲート」
Kyo: [NERV] are the ones that manage the Gate there, aren’t they?

シマ
「ああ。
万が一に備え、NERVには情報を
共有してもらいたいのだが」
Shima: They are. If the opportunity presents itself, I’d like to exchange information with them.

シズノ
「無理でしょうね。
あそこの秘密主義はブライト大佐も
さじを投げるくらいだもの」
Shizuno: I doubt that’s possible. They’re so secretive that they keep even Captain Bright in the dark.

キョウ
「せめて、ゲートを通して通信できりゃ、
何かあった時に他の世界のこともわかるんだがな」
Kyo: If we could at least communicate through the Gates, then we could know if all the other worlds are okay or not.

シマ
「以前、豹馬君達の世界で多少の調査は試みたが…
電磁波はもちろん、有線ケーブルによる通信も
不可能だと判明している」
Shima: We attempted something like that a few times in Hyoma’s world... Electromagnetic waves and wired cables both proved to be impossible methods.

シマ
「現状は無人ドローンの物理的往復による
通信手段しか存在しないが、それもゲートの双方を
味方勢力が監視していなければ意味をなさない」
Shima: Currently, the only means of communication are with unmanned drones physically traveling between the Gates. But without friendly forces on both sides, even that isn’t feasibly possible.

キョウ
「つまり、不可能ってことだな」
Kyo: So basically, it ain’t gonna happen.

シマ
「今、向かっているゲートも
[ギャラルホルン]の勢力圏内だ」
Shima: Soon, we will be entering [Gjallarhorn]’s sphere of influence as we make our way towards the Gate.

シマ
「幸い、モンターク商会の手引きで
安全なルートを使えているが、大気圏突入後は
いつ敵が襲撃してくるかわからない」
Shima: The Montag Company has graciously provided us with a safe route to travel, but once we enter the atmosphere, we will be unable to determine when an enemy may attack.

キョウ
「おっと…そろそろその大気圏突入の時間だな。
んじゃ、持ち場に戻るとするか」
Kyo: I see... So it’s about time for atmospheric re-entry. Then we better go man our post.

シズノ
「ええ」
Shizuno: Yes.


ラー・カイラム ブリッジ
Ra Cailum – Bridge


トーレス
「艦長、本艦はまもなく[アーブラウ]領に入ります」
Torres: Captain, our ship will soon be entering [Arbrau] territory.

ブライト
「妙だな。
ここに至ってもギャラルホルンが動いていない」
Bright: It’s strange. Gjallarhorn hasn’t made a move on us this yet.

弁慶
「てっきり、大気圏突入時に
仕掛けてくるものだと思ってましたがね。
歴史は繰り返すってことで」
Benkei: I thought they’d attack us once we started re-entry. A little repeat of history, you know?

ブライト
「もしかして、[一年戦争]の時の話か?」
Bright: Are you referring to the [One Year War]?

弁慶
「ええ。[赤い彗星]が襲って来たせいで
ホワイトベースの突入角度がおかしくなり…」
Benkei: Yeah. When the [Red Comet] attacked and forced the White Base to re-enter the atmosphere off-course or something...

弁慶
「結局、ガンダムが
艦を持ち上げて修正したんでしたっけ?」
Benkei: And then the Gundam lifted up the ship and set her back on-course, right?

ブライト
「…何の記録を読んだんだ」
Bright: ...Where exactly did you read that?

トーレス
「艦長、モンターク商会から通信が入っています」
Torres: Captain, there’s an incoming transmission from the Montag Company.

ブライト
「繋いでくれ」
Bright: Put them through.

モンターク
「無事にアーブラウ領へ進入できたようですね、
ブライト大佐」
Montag: I see you’ve entered Abrau territory without incident, Captain Bright.

ブライト
「ええ、ギャラルホルンの姿が
見えないのが気になりますが…」
Bright: Yes, there’s been no sign of Gjallarhorn, oddly enough...

モンターク
「その件ですが、[インベーダー]と戦った
ギャラルホルン側にかなりの被害が出た模様です」
Montag: I would imagine the reason for that has to do with the losses that Gjallarhorn sustained while battling against the [Invaders].

弁慶
「あいつらは機械や人と融合しやがるからな。
対処を間違うと、手に負えん」
Benkei: Those things are twisted abominations that fuse with both man and machine. If they aren’t dealt with properly, the damage they can cause is severe.

モンターク
「それもあって、ギャラルホルンはゲート付近から
一時撤退しており、戦力の再編を行っています。
故に今がチャンスです」
Montag: That is why Gjallarhorn has withdrawn from the Gate’s vicinity and begun to reorganize their forces. Which makes this a prime opportunity.

ブライト
「なるほど」
Bright: Now I see.

モンターク
「なお、ゲート付近には
まだインベーダーが残っています。
どうかお気を付けて」
Montag: Please note that there are still some Invaders around the Gate. And do take care.

ブライト
「ええ。諸々のご協力、改めて感謝します」
Bright: We will. Once again, I have to thank you for all your cooperation.

モンターク
「もし、またこの世界へ来られましたら、
私共へご連絡下さい。それでは」
Montag: Of course. And should you ever find yourselves in this world yet again, please do not hesitate to contact us. Until then.

弁慶
「またこの世界へ、か。あり得ん話じゃないな」
Benkei: Coming back to this world again, huh. Well, we can’t say it’s totally impossible.

ミサト
「そうですね…」
Misato: You’re right...

ブライト
「全艦に通達。
我々はこのまま前進し、ゲート付近の
インベーダーとの戦闘に入る」
Bright: Notify all ships. We’ll continue our advance and engage the Invaders near the Gate.


第46話
『オールド・ネスト』
Episode 46
Old Nest


(Scene begins on the map screen of a green plain. The Ra Cailum, the Oceanus, and enemy Invaders are on the map. The Gate is open on the opposite side of the map.)

トーレス
「0時の方向にインベーダー群を確認!」
Torres: Invader swarm confirmed, dead ahead!

ミサト
「意外と数が少ないわね」
Misato: There’s less than I thought.

弁慶
「モビルスーツの残骸もさほどない。
大規模な戦闘じゃなかったのかもな」
Benkei: There aren’t many wrecked Mobile Suits left behind. Maybe it was just a small skirmish.

龍馬
「ギャラルホルンも大したことねえな。
あんな雑魚共に後れを取るとはよ」
Ryoma: Can’t expect much out of Gjallarhorn. We’ll have to pick up where those pansies off.

トーレス
「ゲートから何者かが出て来ます!」
Torres: Something is coming out of the Gate!

(More Invaders appear.)

龍馬
「ふん、何かと思えば…」
Ryoma: Hmph, well that’s what we get for thinking there weren’t enough...

渓
「あいつら、この世界に侵攻してくるつもり…!?」
Kei: Are they trying to invade this world...!?

弁慶
「インベーダーの考えてることなんざ
わからんよ。とにかく撃退するだけだ。
でなきゃ、俺達の世界へ帰れん」
Benkei: There’s no telling what the Invaders are thinking. But we have to defeat them if we want to make it back to our world.

ブライト
「各機はインベーダーを撃破せよ!」
Bright: All units, annihilate the Invaders!

(The player’s team deploys and Battle 1 begins.)

(Battle 1 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

トーレス
「インベーダーの反応、全て消失しました!」
Torres: All Invaders readings have disappeared!

ブライト
「ゲートの様子は?」
Bright: What’s the status of the Gate?

トーレス
「変化はありません」
Torres: Unchanged, sir.

ブライト
「では、無人探査機をゲートに突入させろ。
向こう側の状況を探る」
Bright: Then send a drone through the Gate. Let’s see if we can get a feel for the situation on the other side.

トーレス
「了解」
Torres: Roger.


ラー・カイラム 格納庫
Ra Cailum – Hanger


アスカ
「今回はラー・カイラムとオケアノスだけだから、
ナナヒカリの出番はないわね」
Asuka: Since it’s just the Ra Cailum and the Oceanus this time, you won’t have to do anything, daddy’s boy.

シンジ
「向こう側にインベーダーの大群が
いなきゃいいけど…」
Shinji: I just hope there aren’t a lot of Invaders on the other side...

アスカ
「仮にいたとしても、問題ないわよ。
この私がいる限り、A.T.フィールドで
守ってみせるわ」
Asuka: It wouldn’t matter even if there was. As long as I’m here, my A.T. Field will keep us safe.

シンジ
「でも、ゲートはどこに繋がってるんだろう?」
Shinji: But, where specifically does that Gate even lead to?

アスカ
「ま、私達の世界で決まりでしょ」
Asuka: Well, we’re pretty sure it leads to our world at least.

健一
「インベーダーが通過していることから判断すると、
連邦軍の目が届きにくい辺鄙な所じゃないか?」
Kenichi: Judging from all the Invaders passing through, it probably leads to a remote area the Federation doesn’t have eyes on, right?

一平
「何にせよ、俺達はやっと元の世界に戻れるんだ。
一息入れたいもんだぜ」
Ippei: Where ever it leads, we’ll still end up back in our world. That at least gives me some piece of mind.

めぐみ
「帰ったら帰ったで、
やらなきゃならないことが
たくさんあるわよ」
Megumi: We’ll have a lot to do once we return home.

カミーユ
「そうだな。
[ネオ・ジオン]軍やボアザン星人が
俺達の留守中、攻勢に転じていたら…」
Kamille: Definitely. Especially if the [Neo Zeon] forces or the Boazanians have gone on the offensive in our absence...

バナージ
(それに、オードリーのことも気になる…)
Banagher: (And I’m worried about Audrey...)

凱
「みんな、ゲートの先がどこか判明したぞ。
俺達の世界…アラビア半島北西部の
山岳地帯だそうだ」
Guy: We’ve confirmed what’s beyond the Gate, everyone. It leads to a mountain range in the northwestern part of the Arabian Peninsula in our world.

めぐみ
「健一の予想が当たってたみたいね」
Megumi: Looks like Kenichi guessed right.

日吉
「そこには何があるの?」
Hiyoshi: What’s out there?

豹馬
「そりゃあ、山だろうが」
Hyoma: I’m gonna assume mountains.

アスカ
「あんた、バカ?
当たり前でしょ、そんなの!」
Asuka: Are you an idiot? That much is obvious!

豹馬
「じゃあ、お前は何があるのか知ってんのかよ!?」
Hyoma: Then do you have any idea what’s out there!?

アスカ
「当然よ。アラビア半島北西部の山岳地帯、
そこにゲート発生地の条件である
パワースポットを踏まえると…」
Asuka: Naturally. It has to be a place that fits the requirements for a Power Spot, since that’s a necessity for a Gate to appear. And since it’s in the Arabian Peninsula’s northwestern mountain range...

アスカ
「あくまで一説ではあるけど、
旧約聖書で有名な…」
Asuka: There are multiple theories for its location, but it’s probably the famous Old Testament’s—

凱
「話はそこまでだ。これからゲートを通過する。
みんな、機乗待機しよう」
Guy: That’s enough chitchat. We’ll be crossing through the Gate soon. Everyone, standby in your machines.

健一
「わかりました」
Kenichi: Understood.

凱
「アスカ、ラー・カイラムの守りを頼むぞ」
Guy: Asuka, we’re counting on you to keep the Ra Cailum safe.

アスカ
「話の途中だったんだけど…ま、いいわ。
任せてちょうだい」
Asuka: I was in the middle of saying something, you know... Fine, whatever. Just leave it to me.


(Scene begins on the map screen of a green plain. The Ra Cailum and the Oceanus are in the center of the map, in front of the Gate. Invaders are surrounding them.)


トーレス
「本艦とオケアノスはゲートを通過!
前方にインベーダー群を確認!」
Torres: Our ship and the Oceanus have passed through! We have confirmation of a group of Invaders in front of us!

弁慶
「案の定、待ち構えていやがったか」
Benkei: They were waiting for us, just like we expected.

ミサト
(彼らはこの辺りに
巣くっているわけではなさそうね…)
Misato: (But there doesn’t seem to be a nest around here...)

ブライト
「各機は直ちに出撃!
インベーダーを撃退せよ!」
Bright: Launch all units immediately! Repel the Invaders!

(The player’s team deploys and Battle 2 begins.)

(Battle 2 ends when all Invaders are defeated.)

トーレス
「現戦域内のインベーダー、全て消失しました」
Torres: All Invader readings in the combat zone have disappeared!

ブライト
「了解した。
伊豆基地の岡司令に連絡を入れる。
回線を繋いでくれ」
Bright: Understood. Now let’s get in touch with Chief Oka at the Izu Base. Connect a line to him.


ラー・カイラム ブリッジ
Ra Cailum – Bridge


岡長官
「…何はともあれ、
無事に戻って来てくれて何よりだ」
Chief Oka: ...Above all else, I am glad to see you’ve returned safely.

ブライト
「こちらは、フィフス・ルナが
地球へ落下しなかったことを
確認できただけでも安堵しています」
Bright: And we’re just relieved to know that we successfully prevented Fifth Luna’s fall.

アムロ
「あの後、シャアの動向は?」
Amuro: Has Char made any moves after that?

岡長官
「現在はスウィートウォーターにいると
思われるが、大きな動きを見せていない」
Chief Oka: He’s believed to be residing in Sweetwater for the moment, but he has yet to take any grand actions.

アムロ
「そうですか…」
Amuro: I see...

凱
「[ゾンダー]やボアザン星人、インベーダーは
どうなんです?」
Guy: What about the [Zonders], Boazanians, and Invaders?

岡長官
「その中で動きを活発化させているのは
インベーダーだ。最近、彼らはゲート付近に
何度も出現している」
Chief Oka: Of those, the Invaders have had the most increase in activity. They’ve been making frequent appearances near Gates as of late.

弁慶
「ここ以外のゲートというと、第3新東京市の…?」
Benkei: Speaking of other Gates, have they gone after the one in Tokyo-3...?

岡長官
「うむ、今の所は連邦軍とNERVによる
水際作戦で撃退できている」
Chief Oka: They have, but we’ve been able to hold them off at the shoreline with the Federation and NERV’s cooperation.

ミサト
「…第3新東京市のゲートから
現れたモノはいるのでしょうか?」
Misato: ...Has anything come out of the Gate in Tokyo-3?

岡長官
「いや、確認されていない」
Chief Oka: No, we’ve detected nothing.

ブライト
「…司令、我々はいったん日本へ戻ろうと
思っています。NERVや[GGG]からの
出向者達のこともありますので」
Bright: ...Commander, I’m thinking of returning to Japan. We do have people on loan from NERV and [GGG] after all.

岡長官
「了解した。
なお、インベーダー討伐隊の神中佐が
後ほどそちらへ連絡を入れたいと申し出ている」
Chief Oka: I understand. Also, Invader Suppression Corps Lieutenant Colonel Jin, has requested that you contact him later.

弁慶
「隼人…?」
Benkei: Hayato...?

ブライト
「では、車少佐の方で話を受けておいてくれ」
Bright: In that case, I’ll ask that you speak with him, Major Kuruma.

弁慶
「了解です」
Benkei: Roger.

龍馬
「…タワーに?
もしや、隼人がそう言ってきたのか?」
Ryoma: ...Go to the Tower? Did Hayato say to do that?

弁慶
「ああ、俺と渓も行く。
早乙女研究所を再調査し、インベーダー共が
活発に動いている理由を探るそうだ」
Benkei: Yeah, me and Kei are going too. He wants to reinvestigate the Saotome Institute to find out why the Invaders so much more active now.

龍馬
「ふん…腐れ縁の連中が
因縁の地に集まるってわけか」
Ryoma: Hmph... So everyone unfortunate enough to have any kind of connection to that place is gathering there.

弁慶
「そう言うな」
Benkei: You could say that.

凱
「俺達はGGGへ戻りますが、
大介や伊奈帆達が同行を希望しています」
Guy: My team members and I are returning to GGG, but Daisuke and Inaho’s group want to accompany us as well.

弁慶
「何でだ?」
Benkei: Why’s that?

凱
「GGGの技術に興味があるからだそうです」
Guy: They say they’re interested in GGG’s technology.

升慶
「向こうの方で問題がなければ、構わん」
Benkei: As long as GGG doesn’t have any complaints about it, neither do I.

凱
「父はグレンダイザーに興味があるようですから、
大丈夫でしょう」
Guy: I’m sure my father has an interest in Grendizer as well, so that won’t be a problem.

弁慶
「ラー・カイラムは伊豆基地へ直行せず、
第3新東京市へ向かい、エヴァ各機を降ろすんだが…
お前達はどうする?」
