  3. Voyria death
  4.
  5.
  6. MS: A new year is upon us, and so we bring to you a new lesson!
  7.
  8. ME: lifting the sheet from the shrine, Morro exposes a contorted cadaver, back arched harshly, limbs twisted, fingers hooked and clawlike from the throes of death.
  9.
  10. LS: It would appear that this unfortunate soul had a far more painful death than our last. Today we hope to investigate this, and then offer you the chance to tell us how our friend perished. :)
  11.
  12. LE: either side of the shrine, Morro and Lianca mirror each other, pulling ineffectively upon the limbs, failing at straightening them.
  13.
  14. MS: As you can see, we are struggling to extend the limbs, so great were the throes they may have even been the cause of demise. This classic, over-arched position will have resulted in a broken back.
  15.
  16. LE: moves to the head, leaning in to examine the man's deathmask, frozen in an expression of horrified anguish.
  17.
  18. LS: Not only was this creature in a great deal of pain when he died, he seems to have been afflicted in other ways.
  19.
  20. ME: joins Lianca at the head and pries back the eyelids to examine the ocular system, while Lianca scrapes at a crusted scab upon the chin.
  21.
  22. LS to morro Hmm, dried blood is caked about the nostrils and down the lips and chin, but no wound or breakage nearby to speak of.. :(
  23.
  24. ME: 's dextrous hands pry apart a clenched fist, as she closely examines the fingertips.
  25.
  26. MS: There is a classic yellowing of the conjunctiva, along with the skin at the fingertips, this man suffered jaundice as well as whatever else we're finding. Very interesting. :?.
  27.
  28. LS to morro: shall we open the poor bastard up? :>
  29.
  30. ME: nods and makes a few precise incisions and, with some effort, the two pry the chest apart to expose the lungs of their unfortunate volunteer.
  31.
  32. LE: Gives the exposed lungs an experimental prod and frowns thoughtfully.
  33.
  34. LS: This is odd, the lungs in a normal adult have the consistency of sodden sponge, but this pair are unusually turgid. :(
  35.
  36. LS to morro: YOu've seen this done before, would you now do the honours of clearing the lungs?
  37.
  38. ME: reaches into the open chest cavity without hesitation and with the excitement of a child after a new toy. She squeezes viciously on one lung, and with a deliberate pressure, excises the contents of the respiratory system out of cadaver's mouth.
  39.
  40. LE: steps back, a slight smile of interest upon her face as a disgusting fluid conaining clods of black tissue spews forth from the oral cavity to drip down the obliging slab, globs of blackened flesh meeting the ground with quiet but wet, slapping noises.
  41.
  42. LE: As the flow subsides, Lianca directs a questioningly raised at Morro
  43.
  44. ME: frowns for a moment and considers the corpse.
  45.
  46. MS: The subject shows several signs of stress. Blood from the nose, severely arched back, and his limbs are tensed in such a way as to be unmovable. However, there are so signs of heavy trauma from an outside source--no broken limbs, for instance.
  47.
  48. LE: leans down and runs a finger along a small incision just above the subject's left hip.
  49.
  50. LS to Morro : And what of this mark?
  51.
  52. ME: scowls down at the offending mark, a detail she had not noticed.
  53.
  54. MS: It's a small wound, incredibly easy to miss. It doesn't seem to be located in a place where one could wound themselves accidentally, so my guess is that it is not self-inflicted. Perhaps even the subject did not realise he'd been pierced.
  55.
  56. LE: nods at Morro before turning to the assembled crowd.
  57.
  58. LS: So then, would anyone care to puzzle over our findings and offer a suggestion of the cause of death?
  59.
  60.
  61.
  62.
  63. MS: Entropy is rampant in this realm, and it will consume this corpse as well. Let us give thanks that it worked as slow as it has to allow us to learn something from it. Now that the lesson is done though, we offer it to He who masters Entropy, Lord Babel.
  64.
  65. ME: and Lianca wipe their hands clean upon their now less-than-white coats, and kneel in obeisance before the shrine.
  66.
  67. LS: May our hands continue to do the work of Chaos and our minds grow through the process.
  68.
  69. MS: May our hands continue to do the work of Chaos and our minds grow through the process.
  70.
  71. LS: Thank you all, for joining us. We hope you all learnt a little something, or at least enjoyed the show. :)
