  1. Cindy is a very well behaved student. She never makes trouble for the class, and she always works hard to get her work done in a timely fashion. Her English is coming along nicely. She doesn't have any glaring weak points. One thing that she can do to improve is try to speak louder. She is a bright student and can certainly answer most, if not all of the questions Joyce and I ask her, so it would be nice to see her volenteer more often. Both of us will keep calling on her, to make sure she continues to participate in every class. Aside from that her English skills are a good match for the current level, and she will continue to improve as we go through the levels. One thing that stands out to me is her pronunciation. It is very clear, and she doesn’t often make mistakes, even when saying new words. Cindy is a great addition to the class, and we hope we can teach her for many years to come.
  2.
  3. Jenny is another one of our more quiet students. It goes without saying that she is very polite and well behaved. She does not cause problems in the class at all. She also works hard throughout the whole class. This shows she is serious about studying, and her English level will continue to reflect her earnest attitude towards English study. One thing she could do better would be to raise her hand on her own. She is a quiet child, and seems a bit reluctant to volunteer on her own. Of course we always call on her throughout the class to make sure she gets a chance to participate. If she did so on her own more often, that would be great to see. She does a great job on her Q/A’s. She always writes down new vocabulary correctly, and answers the Q/A’s with good pronunciation. It's great having Jenny in the class, and we hope we'll continue to have the opportunity to teach her in the future.

  5. Melody is an extremely polite and friendly student. Like her sister, she always tries hard. I can't remember her ever causing trouble in the class. She never talks to her sister or other students when she is suppose to be doing her work. Her speaking, reading, and writing abilities are all good, just like her sister. Because her English skills are all very good, that's why I'd like to see her raise her hand more often. I know she knows the answers. She should have confidence in herself, and get that hand in the air more frequently. She could practice speaking more loudly at home to get ready for the class. Apart from that, she is a great student to have in the class, and I hope she keeps attending class so we can keep helping her improve her English skill.

  7. Neilson is a very fun student. He is one of the more outgoing students in the class. He definitely adds a bit of color to the classroom, and having a mix of all different kinds of kids is what makes things interesting. His English abilities are coming along nicely. There are no huge problems, but one thing that we need to focus on with Neilson is his pronunciation. Sometimes he will pronounce some words a bit different from how it's suppose to be. Joyce and I of course always correct him, and we will continue to do so. With our help he will improve on the few tiny weaknesses he has, and continue to strengthen his already well developed English. It's great having him in the class, the more outgoing students always make class more fun, and that's for sure the case with Neilson.

  9. Chase is a great student. He always tries hard on his work, and will participate in the class on his own without being prompted or called on. He always listens to his teachers, and tries to do everything we say without complaint. All around, he's a model student. One area where Chase needs to focus on though is his pronunciation. He has a kind of muffled sound to his voice when he talks. Joyce and I will pay particular attention to Chase when it comes to pronunciation, and do our best to make sure he keeps improving in that area. Another thing that impresses me about Chase is his ability to answer comprehension questions from our various readings. He will typically raise his hand every class, and consistently has the right answer. Besides that, he doesn't have any problems and the rest of his English skills are coming along nicely. It's always great to see Chase every week, and we hope we'll have the chance to teach him for a long time to come.
  10.
  11. Tiffany is a bright, well behaved, and polite student. She never causes any trouble for either Joyce or I. When she is suppose to be reading, writing, or otherwise focusing on her work, she always does so without us ever having to tell her to pay attention or stop doing this or that. Her abilities are well in line with our current level, and her speaking, reading, writing and listening are all very good. The only thing I'd recommend for her is to raise her hand on her own more often. We always get her to answer some questions throughout the class, but she typically needs to be called on to do so. If she could get her hand in the air on her own that would be a big improvement. She's a pleasure to have in class, and I hope she'll continue to be a part of the class for a long time.
  12.
  13. Bella is a fantastic student. Although she sometimes needs to be redirected back to her work, she is quite well behaved. All her skills are very good. Her speaking, reading, writing and listening are all good. In addition to that, she is very good at recitation. When we were practicing for the show and tell, Bella is always eager to recite her show and tell for the class and did a great job even in the beginning. This shows she takes her English study seriously and tries very hard. Her hard work is paying off too, because her English is already very good. Another great thing about Bella is her willingness to raise her hand. She is one of the best students when it comes to participating in class. There's no big issues with her English skill, but one thing I'd like her to work on is her attitude when her side of the class loses a game. Enjoying the game in victory and defeat would be a good attitude to adopt for Bella. She's a very outgoing, bright, confident child and it's always fun to see her each week.
  14.
  15. Iris is another one of our polite and well behaved students. She never bothers her teachers or her classmates. She always tries hard to get her work done in a timely fashion, and doesn't get distracted by other things while she is working. She always studies very hard in class. She also isn't afraid to raise her hand and answer questions. Although she does participate on her own, seeing her do so more often would be great. Besides that there are no big issues with her English or her behavior in class. She also happily participates in activites and games and always does her best. She is a great addition to the class, and I hope she will keep coming to learn English with us for as long as possible!
  16.
  17. Jeremy is a very fun student to have in the class. He has an outgoing personality and is always ready to raise his hand and try his best to answer any question. His Engilsh skills are also very good. His speaking is one of his strongest skills, and he isn't afraid to use it in class. With this attitude of fearlessly continuing to speak, he will continue to become more and more fluent as the years go on. There's no big problems with his English, but one thing we need to work on with Jeremy is more geared towards his behavior. There's no big issue, but sometimes he will get out of his chair, or talk with other students during the class. Having fun in the class is great, but we'll keep working with Jeremy to make sure he knows when it's time to work, and when it's time to play. Jeremy is a great kid, and it's always fun seeing him every week.
  18.
  19. Gary is a very funny and hard working kid. I personally find him hillarious. While he does have a funny, outgoing and unique personality, he doesn't cause too much trouble in class. He also always works hard to get his work done, and his English skills are all in line with our current material. He speaks, reads, writes, and listens well. The only thing with Gary that we need to pay attention to comes back to his behavior. While I personally think he is very funny, there are rare times when he goes a little too crazy. It's not a big problem, but we will keep calming him down when these crazier moments pop up. Aside from that, Gary is a great student and a lot of fun to have in class. He brightens up my day each week.
  20.
  21. Morgan is one of the students who joined the class a bit later on. Even with that in mind, he has quickly caught up and is performing on par with the rest of the class. His English skills are all coming along nicely. When I work with him one on one, he always does a good job. His pronuncation is quite good. One thing that Morgan should focus on is paying attention in class. When the students are suppose to be quietly working or reading for example, he will sometimes not be paying attention. We will continue to keep an eye on him and make sure he does what he is suppose to do. With that out of the way, he is doing a great job in the class and is a great addition to the classroom
  22.
  23. Vivi is another polite and well behaved student. Her reading and writing skills are both very good. One area where she can try to improve is on her speaking. There’s no problem with her pronunciation, but she speaks very quietly. Considering that her speaking skill is quite good, she should have more confidence in herself and speak more loudly during class. Another area where she does very well is in the question and answer portion of the class. She always has the right answer, and very rarely makes mistakes. She also very rarely makes any mistakes in her writing. When I check her answers she almost always writes everything perfectly. She always does a great job paying attention in class and I’m looking forward to continuing to teach her.
  24.
  25. Jerry is a very hardworking and well behaved student. I never notice him causing any trouble. He is always sitting up straight in his chair and paying attention throughout the class. One area where Jerry could try to improve is on the volume of his voice. He talks very softly and I find myself having to get very close to him in order to hear what he is saying. Besides that he is going a good job on his Q/A’s and his vocabulary. When he reads or recites his vocabulary words he does a great job and pronounces everything clearly. He also has no trouble speaking in complete sentences when answering comprehension questions of Q/A’s. I really enjoy having Jerry in class, and hope to teach him for a long time to come.
  26.
  27. Sam has good pronunciation and his reading skill is very good. He is always working hard and paying attention throughout the entirety of the class. His behavior is very good. Sam always does a good job during the Q/A portion of the class. He writes down the correct answers and speaks smoothly and with good pronunciation when answering the Q/A. He also always does his best during class activities and games. One thing I’d like to see Sam do more often is answer questions on his own. We usually have to call on him to get him to answer a question. If he could volenteer on his own more often that would be great. He’s a good kid and he will keep doing better and better as we go through the class.
