- The quest to empower White Hart is extensive. Before beginning, ensure that you will have at least a couple of days set aside to complete it and are prepared to influence for empowerment and do battle with foes that have the ability to deal out hefty afflictions. Don't be afraid to ask your fellow Sowers for help!
- To begin, wait for the Mother Moon to reach her Waxing Gibbous phase before becoming a Full Moon. CHELP MOONCYCLE should help you plan when to begin the process.
- ======= During the Waxing Gibbous =======
- First, one must acquire a moonglory seed for Abeytu. Tokota, the elder of the centaurs that live in the northern hills of Serenwilde, is willing to provide one if you can prove yourself a friend to his people.
- Search about the forest for an Olwen's Kiss flower, and provide that to Poloma Truehoof, who lives 'amidst the centaur hills' (1078). Upon its receipt, she will provide you with a garland.
- Bring this garland to Tokota, who lives nearby, in order to receive a moonglory seed. Without delay, deliver it to Abeytu! You will find him in 'the middle of the Greenhouse' (1086). When the Full Moon arrives, the seed will have turned into a lovely, fruit-bearing moonglory plant.
- Next, you'll want to work on blessing the font of Nintoba in preparation for the Full Moon. In order to do this, you must obtain something from each of the Aspects of the White Hart found in the Ethereal Serenwilde.
- The White Stag requires the most effort in order to receive his spoors. You will need to retrieve a scroll of enlightenment that can only be found by venturing into the Spirit Plane guarded by the monks of the Tosha Monastery.
- In order to find the Monastery, search the western mountains for 'a large rock on a barren patch of stone' (2583). Push the rock aside, and you'll be able to gain access to their hidden haven. On the second floor of the monastery, four masters sit seeking pupils. Each favours a particular creature from the Basin that they feel is physically perfect.
- One will seek rockeaters, another rocs, another spiders, and yet another sharks. Ten of each will be required to satisfy the desires of every master at the monastery.
- The rockeaters one can find in the mountain ranges that run along the edge of the Basin of Life. If they prove elusive there, try taking the mountain passages that lead down to the Undervault. Here, a studier type of rockeater thrives, but do be wary of the aggressive cave-fishers.
- The sharks can be found by heading into the murky depths of the Inner Sea. Absolutely any sort of shark will do!
- The rocs are easiest to find in their caves about the western mountains. You will find that it is 'surrounded by heavy vines' (17546).
- Spiders can be a bit tricky to find. If one is careful, one may find them dwelling in the Caverns of Muhanlesh with several other dangerous creatures. If you decide to seek for them here, look for them 'amidst a sea of algae' (10708). Alternatively, one may find them in the hidden Feyranti estate, which can be reached by pulling a branch where you are 'surrounded by Avechna's teeth' (2056).
- Once you have the corpses, head over to the Monastery and greet each master on the second floor in order to find which one they desire. They shall reward you with a token for each corpse, which you can then give to a grey-robed monk. After you find ten such monks for each master, return to each to receive their blessing.
- Master Qettle, who sits on the highest floor of the monastery, will then allow you access to the Spirit Plane. Creatures of spirit live here, including loboshigaru hunters which you need to seek out. Slay each hunter until one produces a scroll of enlightenment upon his defeat.
- Take this scroll to the Aspect Grove. You can find this place by entering the stones to the north of the archway to Faethorn in the Ethereal Serenwilde. Promptly give it to the White Stag in order to receive his spoors as a blessing.
- The White Doe will provide you an elemental globe that you will need, but you must present to her ten Fae in order for her to part with it.
- White Buck values a strong hunter, and will grant you a spade if you provide him enough corpses.
- The White Fawn will require a moonhart nut from you, which can be acquired from bringing pixies to empower the Flame of Glinshari.
- Once every Aspect has granted you their boon, journey to the western part of the Serenwilde in search of the tomb of Nintoba. It may only be found by falling through the floor 'by some ancient ruins' (819). It may take repeated entries for the floor to fall beneath you.
- Once you have gained access, use the spade given to you by White Buck. This will allow you to open the wall, wherein you must place the moonhart nut, the spoors, and the elemental globe before using the spade to seal all three within. Seeds will suddenly appear, which you must collect.
- Next, you must head to the south, and then to the east. Here you will come across four torches which must be lit. After you have set them alight, you may push the sarcophagus in the room in order to reveal a hidden passage underneath.
- Upon descending the stairs, you will find yourself before an altar. Drop the seeds here that they may take root in the earth. Next, you must place twenty bits of silvery essence within the altar. Doing so will allow you to take the spear of Nintoba from the tomb, which will be vital in blessing the font for the ritual.
- You will now need to seek out the spirit of Chuchip, who must be summoned by the haunting melody of a bird. You will discover seeds 'inside a wooden shelter' (5439) in the northeastern section of the arboretum. Take these to the western end of the arboretum, where you will find 'delicate bellflowers' along with a rope and a bell (1106). Pull the rope to summon a small bird who will delight in the seeds you carry.
- While it is eating, carry it to the Serenwilde 'burial mounds' (817). There, its song will rouse the spirit of Chuchip. After Chuchip has spoken, present him an offering. Anything shall do.
- He shall provide you with a pearl, which must be dropped from the very top of the 'Moon Falls' (1120). This shall summon a naiad in the centre of the Moon Lake, who carries something special to empower the spear of the Nintoba. Find a lily from 'a small pool' (1097) to the southeast of the arboretum, and present it to her as a token of goodwill.
- She will gleefully give you a moonstone in return. USE the SPEAR WITH the MOONTSTONE to ready the spear for the next step in the ritual. Next, you must swiftly journey to the statue of Nintoba 'within the Nintoba Naos' (1052) and PUT the SPEAR IN his HAND. This will bless the font before the statue and prepare it for the Full Moon.
- ======= On the Full Moon =======
- When Mother Moon grows full, return to the seedling you left to Abeytu's care and get its fruit. You will present this fruit to the White Hart, that he may grow stronger, but before you do so you must have a means to communicate with him.
- As it so happens, Goldie the Leprechaun has just such an item: a golden torc. Hunt down the shamrock which blows throughout the Serenwilde woods and bring it to him to trade for the torc. You'll be able to find him 'below the mushroom' (893). Slip it over your shoulders and make haste to the White Hart! You can find him in his grove in the southwestern reaches of the Serenwilde (844).
- Give the White Hart the moonglory fruit, and he will shed his antlers to make way for an even more magnificent crown. Return to the statue of Nintoba and place the antlers within the font's waters, that they may be blessed. Then, quickly summon the spirit of Chuchip as you did before. Present him the antlers, and he will speak to you a prophecy, completing a cycle of the ritual!
- After you have completed five such cycles, journey to each Aspect of the Harts and ask them of the Keys to the Wall to complete your journey and receive the Flame of dae'Seren!
