Daniel: Well I don’t see you making any suggestions. Don’t act as though you’re the perfect parent.

Cady: Fine, here’s a suggestion; how about we pull him from the soccer team?

Daniel: You really are taking this over the top, Cady. He’s a kid, of course he’s going to get into fights and if we’re going to start fighting about it too, we’re no better.

On that note, Daniel stands up and steps away from the table then starts to put on his jacket, ignoring his wife’s enquiring look.

Cady: Daniel, what are you doing?

Daniel: I need to go make some calls for work and honestly, I’m not hungry anymore. I’ll see you at home.

Daniel begins walking towards the exit of the bistro, leaving Cady sat alone at the table, nibbling her croissant and wondering what her husband could possibly be hiding from her.
