  1. Back in 2016, I downloaded osu! for the first time. I'll be honest I was garbage at it (still am but a bit less garbage now). Honestly I had never played a rhythm game like it and idk, it just was hard. Plus I didn't really know anybody else who played it so I kind of was going in solo barely clearing high 2* maps.

  3. Eventually, a friend of a friend's cousin's brother happened to randomly be in the same discord call as me and he also mentioned he played the game. I was instantly very excited and went into a multiplayer lobby with him. Soon however I realized I was way out of my league. I won't bother naming all maps (but stuff like Monk, and TSUBAKI for anyone familiar with osu) pretty much bodied me. 3* and even 4* maps just felt literally impossible to me. And then finally, he chose Mloda Crew [Insane]. This was a 4.9* map that simply seemed beyond everything else. I died on like the 5th note. At the time, the map wasn't even officially ranked yet, it was under a submission process, but it definitely stood out to me.

  5. I went back to the grind that summer and managed to fc some high 2*s but that's as far as I could go. As the year went on I kind of dropped osu! from my game list. However I did actually add Mloda Crew to one of my playlists. Idk why but I guess I kinda liked the song.

  7. I would return to osu! from time to time but nothing really serious, and at some point I did manage to barely clear a low 3* but that didn't mean much.

  9. Around 2 months ago I decided to seriously get back into the game. I wanted to get good and be able to beat the maps I never could. Redownloading all the old maps I had I couldn't help but notice that most of them were as I had left them. Mloda crew however, not only had been ranked and approved, but it had been put in a loved state, meaning no PP (equivalent of ranked points) could be gained from beating it. Basically there was no reason to even attempt it. However, I set that as my goal, wanting to eventually be good enough to clear that difficult map.
  10.
  11. I started the grind, basically playing osu! for at least like 20 min a day. Doesn't sound like a lot but it adds up, especially when I had days where I played a lot more. So yeh. Surprisingly, i was improving. Not just improving, actually getting better at an incredibly fast rate. There were days where I would go more than 50,000 places up in the rankings.

  13. Every now and then I'd go back and try to do Mloda Crew on Insane but as much as I kept improving, there was a stream only about 20-30 seconds into the song I would constantly fail. SO I kinda kept going. And improved more.

  15. By this point 3* maps were pretty much a piece of cake for me, and I was doing low 4* maps in attempts to simply clear them. Earlier today, with a lot of my mind, knowing this upcoming week will prob be one of the hardest I will have to go through this year, I sat down to play some osu! I tried a bunch of maps that were usually harder than what I play, and it didn't go too well. Shoutouts to failing on the last few seconds of an 8 minute map. Anyway, I decided to play some maps I like that I've beat and try to improve my score. And that went pretty well. Before calling it a night, I decided to try Mloda Crew, I've failed it so many ties, but who cares might as well. Boom get near perfect at the start, boom got all the jumps, and then came the stream. And I got the whole thing. At that moment I was like yep, this is it. Not gonna go through the whole song but I played out of my mind, and yet the final stream left me on 1 more miss = loss. But I cleared the map.

  17. So the reason I'm making this pastebin is cause this means a lot to me. I know its just a video game and one I don't even play that much and I'm not really competitive on, but I legit am proud that I decided to do something and manged to do it. This literally seemed like something impossible to me years ago, something I couldn't fathom of achieving. Cool.

  19. tbh the song isn't anything exceptional, it kinda just stuck with me and I think it's fine, and sometimes the story behind something adds a lot of value to it
