Honestly, aside from having to feed the compys, it's kind of adorable to have my own pack of critters chasing me around. It's like some unholy mix of the worst parts of cats and dogs. Other than that, keeping a hand in the other parks to delay the inevitable disasters as long as possible is a must, though I'm not a fan of the Biosyn headhunters... especially since they'll eventually graduate to literally hunting my head.

If I'm going to be able to speak to things, I should definitely do my best to keep my intellect in case I end up being one of them. Never know when I might get poked again or something silly like that.

In hindsight, I should have known that the compys would be the worst part about my stay. I can't eat anywhere without these little critters coming in and swarming. And worse, I can UNDERSTAND them. So it's not a matter of them running around chirping and uploading it to Youtube because they're busy being cute, it's like going crazy from being surrounded by a pack of hyperactive six year olds who are simultaneously bored and hungry all the time. All the time. ALL THE TIME.

Oh well. At least I kept Euro Jurassic Park from being made and ending up a complete failure because some idiot wanted to market it as a place where it held dinos who were spliced and nothing else. I did my part to keep other parks from going too nuts - certain tranquilizers were found to be effective, thanks to having a chance to study their effects in small doses on the compys - but there were eventual containment issues, of course. Fortunately, seeing the compys harass me constantly was a good enough argument to avoid cloning anything smaller than a well-sized dog.

And since I'm not a complete hack of a scientist and actually use my brain, every animal that came out of our labs had two chips in them, implanted at the brainstem and next to the heart. Useful for tracking them, or if they're having issues, discharging an electric current to stun the animal... or kill them, if they were a clear and present danger to the public, though this was strongly discouraged. Still. Press the green button on the remote, animal just sits there confused for a minute because its brain got a shock. Press the yellow button, it goes unconscious because its heart got a shock.

There are more inhumane methods, at least, but it didn't take long for Jurassic Park to get the Sea World treatment. Most of their parks had plans to start closing their doors and consolidate to just a couple of island locations around the time I left. That's okay, though - GenSyn got FILTHY RICH restoring endangered species and investing in novel gene therapy treatments.

I wonder if Hammond had any idea that he was only there as the proof of concept?
