  1. [14:29] <@bobbedNonsense> so, i have a Terese here who seems to fall into a sort of waking coma the moment i take her soul gem away from her
  2. [14:29] <ventricularPipefitter> Uh-huh.
  3. [14:30] <ventricularPipefitter> Didn't realize you and she shared a session, actually.
  4. [14:30] <@bobbedNonsense> mhmm we do
  5. [14:30] <ventricularPipefitter> What'd she tell you about her situation?
  6. [14:31] <@bobbedNonsense> i know it has something to do with her pendant, and that you and a few others know more about it
  7. [14:31] <@bobbedNonsense> but aside from that list of names and a couple nods, i'm not getting any communication out of her
  8. [14:32] <ventricularPipefitter> Her world of origin was deeply corrupted by Angelic influences and she suffers from intense, chronic, damage that has not had the opportunity to recover in the normal fashion because her pendant is a vector as well as a masking/coping mechanism.
  9. [14:33] <@bobbedNonsense> okay so i'm dropping this thing in a waterproof pouch of lightshake right now and back in my sylladex
  10. [14:33] <ventricularPipefitter> Or, well. That was my read on the situation when she shared the photography with me.
  11. [14:34] <ventricularPipefitter> That'll do for a start. It...mm. Makes people more like eachother/more like other pendant bearers. Hiveminds 'em up. I'm going to be checking my notes here to make sure I'm not getting the details wrong, but that was the gist.
  12. [14:35] <@bobbedNonsense> i've been using [mIrAcLeS] to check on her- which, yes, i know, 'poor man's [Heartlines]' but i work with what i've got- and i'm just seeing something i /can/t/ identify
  13. [14:36] <ventricularPipefitter> Poorman's [Soulsight], actually. Heartlines is the emotional support network one you don't use on the corrupted. Which is a damn shame, because 'feeling less alone' is pretty powerful.
  14. [14:37] <ventricularPipefitter> But go on: what's the trippy colour vision telling you?
  15. 03[14:37] * candiedApples is now known as staApp|online
  16. [14:37] <@bobbedNonsense> yes ok i got the term wrong i'm working with the Wrath here
  17. [14:37] <@bobbedNonsense> it's like
  18. [14:37] <@bobbedNonsense> liquid metal and sunset
  19. [14:37] <@bobbedNonsense> which is not a colour
  20. 03[14:37] * Muss is now known as musDec|Offline
  21. [14:38] <ventricularPipefitter> Hm. Interesting. Liquid metal, that's...Tears-esque, although they trend more pearlescent. Sunset brings to mind 'fire,' but....hm. Does it feel like an absence or a presence? How do the boundaries move, or interact with other pieces?
  22. [14:40] <@bobbedNonsense> it used to be mixed in with helplessness, confusion, being scared, and useless but that was before i took the pendant off
  23. [14:40] <@bobbedNonsense> now it's a solid wash
  24. [14:40] <ventricularPipefitter> What would the metal taste like? This may be a bizarre question for which I apologize. Hm.
  25. [14:40] <@bobbedNonsense> ah, my sense of taste and smell have never been great, so i can't really say
  26. [14:41] <@bobbedNonsense> metal tastes like metal, that's as far as i can go
  27. [14:41] <@bobbedNonsense> (i can't smell at all, bugger it)
  28. [14:41] <@bobbedNonsense> it starts heavy and there's a sorta
  29. [14:41] <@bobbedNonsense> it washes out towards the centre
  30. [14:43] <@bobbedNonsense> as though you've bent a paper Terese and the sediment of the paint all flowed out to the edges
  31. [14:43] <@bobbedNonsense> the metal's grey-purple if that helps
  32. [14:44] <@bobbedNonsense> er- more maroon actually than purple
  33. [14:44] <@bobbedNonsense> [mIrAcLeS] is subjective as hell but this doesn't match anything the Wrath could tell me about
  34. [14:45] <ventricularPipefitter> Washed out. Well /that/ makes sense, at least? She's burnt-out. Profoundly. Unless this is a specific attribution. Hm. You -will- see emotional numbing. And [mIrAcLeS], it's usually using it for moods and emotional experiences, if I recall...
  35. [14:45] <ventricularPipefitter> If there's some other way to use it once you're more experienced correct me.
  36. [14:45] <@bobbedNonsense> that's the only permutation of it i've ever seen
  37. [14:46] <@bobbedNonsense> only gets more specific, and even then, it's reliant on the emotional experiences and sensitivity of the user
  38. [14:47] <ventricularPipefitter> Right, right. The other sorts of Wrathful divination is more like demanding of the universe, 'give me my fucking answers, bitch,' and getting them back: but that requires asking the right questions. Off-topic.
  39. [14:47] <@bobbedNonsense> heh
  40. [14:47] <ventricularPipefitter> [You scribble down some notes to summarize.]
  41. [14:48] <@bobbedNonsense> i've read up on the treatment of recovering Singers- mostly from when i was sessioning with Adam
  42. [14:49] <@bobbedNonsense> cos i was a little worrywart, but hey, valuable information anyhow
  43. [14:49] <@bobbedNonsense> would it be safest to treat her like that, for now?
  44. [14:51] <ventricularPipefitter> Pretty sure, yes. Although you don't, I would hope, have to worry about hostility/aggression the same way. And the sunset colour?
  45. [14:51] <ventricularPipefitter> colour/feel/mood/patch of wobbly lightpaint.
  46. [14:51] <@bobbedNonsense> it's actually like
  47. [14:52] <@bobbedNonsense> if you've got a sunset and you don't look at it but you look straight up
  48. [14:52] <ventricularPipefitter> Ohhh. Hence gray-to-maroon-to-purple.
  49. [14:52] <@bobbedNonsense> and you've got the deep night's-comings ky blue and the clouds across it, and /they/ are what's getting the yellows and the reds
  50. [14:52] <ventricularPipefitter> But metallic.
  51. [14:52] <@bobbedNonsense> yeah
  52. [14:53] <@bobbedNonsense> i guess the clouds are- lemme just check
  53. [14:54] <@bobbedNonsense> ghnyeah
  54. [14:54] <@bobbedNonsense> the clouds are metal
  55. [14:56] <ventricularPipefitter> So....sunsets.
  56. [14:57] <@bobbedNonsense> [While you rub your eyes, you go to turn off the light ball in the room. Angelic corruption recovery means cool and dark.]
  57. [14:59] <ventricularPipefitter> So whatever you're looking at, it's...well, it was the background element or a commonly-present element when Terese was, well, acting 'herself,' and now it's all the stuff that's left over. It's a pretty dynamic and symbolically-laden combination, I'd think, for something like, 'the lights are on but nobody's home,' so...hm.
  58. [15:00] <@bobbedNonsense> i've seen versions of 'lights are on but nobody's home' before- i would have thought that would be enough of a register for me to get something recognisable
  59. [15:01] <ventricularPipefitter> What've you seen before? Stuff that looks the same on the outside can be /pretty different/ on the inside. Soulburn is.../looks/ like brain damage, or acts like it, more than anything else.
  60. [15:03] <@bobbedNonsense> i say versions- i haven't seen corruption-influenced catatonia, but i've seen as the result of a Time BT, and actual coma patients
  61. [15:04] <ventricularPipefitter> Do you know voidy amnesia?
  62. [15:05] <@bobbedNonsense> i don't believe i've seen it
  63. [15:05] <ventricularPipefitter> Hm. So. Sunsets.
  64. [15:06] <ventricularPipefitter> [It has been far too long since you've /watched/ a proper sunset. You don't get very many, as a Replayer.]
  65. [15:07] <ventricularPipefitter> What d'they mean to you?
  66. [15:08] <@bobbedNonsense> uh
  67. [15:08] <@bobbedNonsense> [You're about to ask 'why does that matter'- when you remember [mIrAcLeS]'s subjectivity.]
  68. [15:09] <ventricularPipefitter> Like, what's plugging into the back of your head there.
  69. [15:10] <@bobbedNonsense> that one is from between thailand and malaysia
  70. [15:11] <@bobbedNonsense> literally between them, we were in a river between a malaysian town and a thai town
  71. [15:12] <@bobbedNonsense> and i couldn't get the colours right for years until we moved back and i managed to get them to mix for one picture which i didn't even like aside from the colours
  72. [15:12] <@bobbedNonsense> other ones are about fish and radio
  73. [15:13] <@bobbedNonsense> but those particular colours are specific
  74. [15:24] <ventricularPipefitter> Fish and radio?
  75. [15:24] <@bobbedNonsense> sunset's a good time to fish
  76. [15:25] <@bobbedNonsense> we're winding down for the evening, it's not dark enough to be able to put on a movie
  77. [15:25] <@bobbedNonsense> radio on, listen to the BBC, fishing rods out
  78. [15:26] <@bobbedNonsense> those would be more dark purple and bright yellow-white, though, not the colours i'm seeing on Terese
