Dara backstory

Born to the two of the highest rated thieves at that time, Darakin already had stealing in his DNA out the gate and was trained since birth to do so. Being the eldest son of what would soon to be a family of 5 a few years after him, this thief had to learn how to carry the family business. That included learning to hunt almost inhumanly, how to steal with no one seeing, and how to fight IF you get caught. With that being said, he had gotten a little ahead of himself when he even stole from his parents from time to time. Sometimes they would notice....other times they didn't have a clue.

One day when he was around seven, the boys parents weren't home, he had been hungry and went to look through their stuff hoping to find the chocolate apples his mom hides from him cause he eats too many! Well he did find the apples and one caught his eye the most! It must be a special kinda apple cause it looked weird. Not really caring, he scarfed it down and nearly threw it up but was determined not to waste it! Finally getting it down, he found the chocolate apples and munched on them not knowing this would change his life...and his habits of swimming in the ocean.

Fast forward 9 years later and you could find this young man on the crew of a small time pirate crew exploring the seas! Each stop finding new friends but more importantly to him, more family to join. Now no one here knows who he was really besides the fruit he uses, The Tori Tori Model: Cerberus, but he knew.... he couldn't get it out of his head watching his parents sacrifice for him to protect the younger him from those filthy Marian.

His captain, as much of a dork he was, had been someone he seen as a brother just as much as his blood brothers. Hell! He even game him  really strong devil fruit, well they lied, but it was the Bari Bari no mi cause his fruit could absorb it with one slot to spare! He was family...family torn through his fingers along with the rest of the crew's fingers as a Marian base trail gone horribly wrong and it lead to his death.

That had been where his first bounty raise grew and he gained the name of the "The untouchable Devil, Darakin" and for rightful reasons too! As he walked towards the man who murdered his captain people were stopped dead in their tracts and dropped like flies from a unknown power only to be thrown away like toys. No one knew about the fruit till he announced his name as "I AM THE BARRIER KING! BOW OR DIE LIKE MY BROTHER DID!" Given the fact the island is now cut in two? It's safe to say no one bowed...

The next few months had been tough for the young man, having taken the mantle of the next captain for the new family he had but it didn't feel the same. None of it did. Not even the fights that would be sent there way as he would just cut through boat in two. His energy felt drained, his mood was sour, and he could see it was effecting the crew's moral. He was dragging his family down, again.

The night he was on his second bottle of whisky he heard of voice. It was small, barely human sounding, but it was calling for him. He brushed it off for the whisky talking again but it kept getting louder. Finally having enough, he stood up and walked to the wheel of the ship, turning to where the voice had been leading him to ready to kill anything that stopped his way at this point. He wanted to drown in his misery alone! The next morning he hadn't had much knowledge of what happened only the fact he...now was in the middle of a forest surrounded by ghosts?

These were the ghosts of forgotten animals, spirits of creatures he didn't even know of. One that stuck out the most was a snake with wings...even the fact it spoke to him. They had told him that there will be a time where his fruit wouldn't be enough and he needed to be properly trained as his father and forefathers before him. Still confused, he was more worried about his crew but they seemed to be having their own training fest somewhere on the island. Shrugging, it seems it would be the best to train here.

It led until he was 19, two years of training, when he walked out ready to rock the world as well as his crew with a new member of the crew. A pet snake with little wings on it that stays on him at all times. This was the reincarnation of the snake who trained him for years.... The final words could be spoke to them all as he bowed smirking as he left "The God of Defense will make you proud" and that was the day he came for the Marian at full force....


That had been officially 4 years ago and a lot of changed. He had grown with the Haki he had been trained with by the spirits but also his bounty had as well to the point he had been the most wanted in the world along with the fact he was now a Yonko, something he barely cared about. His crew had split apart and formed their own crews but they were his family, something he WILL defend!
