  1. [18:18:11] Illaron whispers: shaves yo weave
  2. [18:18:11] LOOC - Cho: (T~T)
  3. [18:23:18] LOOC - Cho: (oh, you are here sooner than i thought)
  4. [18:23:18] Drew Idd says, "Ah.... Hello again."
  5. [18:23:18] LOOC - Drew Idd: [Yeah, the person I had been talking to logged out like a moment before you said something.]
  6. [18:26:43]
  7. She had been meeting to meet with some of Valmasia's necromancers for assistance within a few matters. And although her disposition with Drew Idd can be quite apparent- there are some things that she can look past. Especially since his actions weren't the ones that were unforgiveable...It was mainly that of Quentin. Nevertheless, the Kitsune would have moved- her wooden sandals clicking against the carpet and cobblestone as she moves forward, offering a bow to Drew Idd.
  8.
  9. "I've heard a few things.." She says while beginning to grow silent. "I hear that you are capable of resurrecting the dead- of directing their spirits into their original body. I would like to learn. I would like to learn the basics of that, if possible.." she says, her gaze drifting elsewhere.
  10.
  11. It is a necessity.
  12.
  13. "I've been meaning to speak with Tarquin but we miss each other time and time again- And I must..I must learn quickly." Because there is fear of what might happen. There is fear that she might be too late, especially when time is against her. "Please, assist me, if you can...I promise that I will not waste your time." She keeps herself within the bowing position, atleast...Not until he's done giving her an answer.
  14. (Cho)
  15. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  16.
  17. [18:26:43] LOOC - Cho: (lemme run to the store rq x.x I'll be riiight back if you dont mind)
  18. [18:27:34] LOOC - Drew Idd: [Alrighty.]
  19. [18:36:06] Meanwhile he still... felt rather awkward. Treating enemies as friends had always been a weak point, and Cho had unfortunately run afoul of him at a time that the man wasn't exactly proud of.
  20.
  21. Tranen's death had made much darker, and Andrew Idd had not escaped that shadow.
  22.
  23. "Ah... well. Yes. I can do that. The fourth longest serving Necromancer in Avalon, discounting Morgan." He'd say with a small hint of nervous pride. "I've taught a few people now, Tarquin, Nyphadora, It won't hurt to teach another." The Necromancer would give Cho a slight smile.
  24.
  25. It was always nice to see more who could raise the dead. Always nice to see more lives saved from the stars.
  26.
  27. "Err... you don't have to bow like that." He would say, giving her a brief bow in return.
  28. (Drew Idd)
  29. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  30.
  31. [18:48:03] LOOC - Cho: (ok im back)
  32. [18:48:54] LOOC - Drew Idd: [Welcome Back.]
  33. [18:53:10]
  34. Tranen's death made monsters out of people. The depression spell that Valmasia had went through caused many people to change- that much, she had realized. With Istvan choking her, throwing her up against the brick walls, nearly draining her mana, and toying with her mind- it all was quite a bit to handle. So by proxy, those that were beside him in any moment were often looked upon with both scrutiny and weariness. She had not trusted many of them due to the way that they had treated her- but she also accepted it. Because in war, being a prisoner means that your life is forfeit.
  35.
  36. And they had done not only what she expected to, but worse.
  37.
  38. But that doesn't mean that she has to take it out on those that have done it. Although rage nests within her heart and although the storm does brew, she does not act upon her feelings. Because there is someone that she has learned to love. Someone, who has given her another chance at what she wished to claim; life.
  39.
  40. "It is not exactly dealing with the dead...But it is similar. I want to learn soul transference and by doing that, I must learn the basics of Necromancy. The simplest thing- by beckoning the soul from the stars. By offering respite.." She says, a gentle nod given to him in response. Finally raising to a full stand.
  41.
  42. "Can you begin teaching me now..?"
  43. (Cho)
  44. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  45.
  46. [18:56:35] She'd receive a raised eyebrow, "Of course. And... that's actually a subject I've been intending to look into more myself. So you ask for a favor that's a favor to me." He'd say with a slight chuckle.
  47.
  48. "So, what all do you know already? Where did Tarquin leave off?" He would ask, at once the awkwardness of their personal entanglements falling away, Drew might not be the best at being a friend. But he was at least a fairly straightforward teacher.
  49. (Drew Idd)
  50. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  51.
  52. [19:00:51]
  53. If they were more friends, perhaps, she would share with him the bit of knowledge that she had gathered while her workers were out obtaining artifacts of Mai Shuren. It'll come in due time, along with the trust. Nevertheless, Cho offers him a slight smile...It is rather embarrassing, after all. "We were supposed to start- but we never began. I'm afraid that our schedules are often the opposite. He comes, I go, and vice versa." She just ends up shrugging her shoulders.
  54.
  55. Work makes rping difficult, you know. But other than that, the young woman would have waved nothing more than a hand. "So, I'm afraid that you've got a bit of a beginner. However, Dylerun did teach me the basics of rift as well. I've the key to the next door.." Her hand pulls out a simple disc and scribbled on it were runes meant for her to 'practice' moving things from one place to another.
  56.
  57. "It is...Harder than I expect but, again, I only need the basics. You can have this, if you wish." she adds, nodding once, twice. After all, she feels as if she has nailed the confidence and the 'focusing'. Now...She just needs to put it in practice.
  58. (Cho)
  59. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  60.
  61. [19:12:48] He would give her a simple nod, reaching into a pocket to... pull out an undead rat, the rodents skeleton plated with simple copper to preserve the bones. "Necromancy is... remarkably simple. But also very very complicated." He'd say with a frown.
  62.
  63. Holding up the rat, and glowing illusory lines of gold would form within it's body, veins and leylines of golden light weaving throughout the bones. And... in the center there was a glowing ball of light, linked to the mana circuit of the rat... there were also a few glowing lines trailing off to unite with Drew...
  64.
  65. "In simple terms, to raise the dead you must repair the mana circuit. If it loops incorrectly, or terminates abruptly, the energy needed to sustain a living thing will instead detonate explosively, as it ruptures the circuit, or finds a break to escape through." He would explain, tracing his hands along the golden lines within the rat,
  66.
  67. "And then, once you've done that, you must leave deliberate gaps, where you pull some of your own substance, to unite your circuit with the dead's. From there the stuff of your life can flow into them. And once the body lives, you must convince the soul to return. Beckoning it to yourself. If all goes well, they will live again. At this point, explosion is unlikely to be the result, the body will simply drain your energy until you stop feeding it. Without reviving."
  68. (Drew Idd)
  69. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  70.
  71. [19:19:37]
  72. She seemed to be curious for that matter- but moreso surprised that he would be carrying around undead mice. However, when thinking about it, they could make good 'scouts' in the event that someone were attempting to sneak up on him or worse. Either way, her gaze widens in curiosity- her hands soon shifting behind her back in what seemed to be wanderlust. To explore the leylines of another creature- to believe that she could, potentially, link herself to the mana circuit of the rat made things a little more clear.
  73.
  74. "I wasn't aware that the mana circuits, upon dying, end up shattering.." she says in nothing more than silence. "I had figured that they were with the soul- and that there was little to no need in repairing such. And so, I completely left it out of my training.." But she realizes now, that if she were to 'extract' a soul, she would need to tie herself into the shell. To carefully 'coax' it out as if she were bringing it back to life once more.
  75.
  76. However, the pain that she had felt from even 'touching' the soul of Kayne was perhaps, the result of her nearly detonating his undead body. She was lucky to have stopped before it had happened- otherwise, all would have neded. As of now though, she just nods..
  77.
  78. "I am curious..." she says. "First, I would like to ask if you have...living rats that I could practice this one. And second, I would like to ask if it is true. Can Necromancers shift control to another Necromancer? And is it possible for an undead to break out of a necromancer's grip? If so...Then what occurs then?"
  79. (Cho)
  80. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  81.
  82. [19:31:34] He would nod, releasing the creature, which would proceed to scurry outside. "Yes, Azrae academy had a good stock of the creatures, and I've made sure to keep them fed and cared for. Even if the schoolmistress is... absent." He'd give a slight sigh of annoyance with that. Ceres's absence was a point of frustration. All the more so now that so many of the researchers were dead.
  83.
  84. "The circuits are the way the soul interfaces with the body. The soul provides power and direction. But the Circuits provide context. But when you die, the soul moves on, and the circuits begin to degrade without the soul to provide energy to keep them going."
  85.
  86. He would though nod, "Yes, I've even witnessed such an event before. Fu'Kesi Ma. He was raised by Dominique Harrengate, and broke free. In the end, much like you need some water to prime a pump, creating life from nothing is... for the moment beyond our grasp. Only a Lich can perform thatsort of feat. If an undead breaks free, with no Necromancer to sustain them, they'll live on for roughly five years... and then their life will run out. As such, a Necromancer can withdraw their connection to an undead, and another Necromancer can build a connection anew with an undead. It's actually much simpler to take an existing undead than to create a new one."
  87. (Drew Idd)
  88. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  89.
  90. [19:40:06]
  91. "I'm sorry to hear that. . . .I understand your frustration, after all, it is difficult to continue on when the head of a group is not right." A gentle bow is given. "However, continue working and I'm certain that she'll be proud of you when she returns. It is best to look forward to success, and not the present times." She knows it all too well. Not that she's saying that Ceres is 'wrong' for her absence, after all, there could be several reasons as to why she is gone. But as of now...
  92.
  93. Cho realized what it is that she needed to do. The book of Soul Transferance had given her a sense of what it meant- but hearing the explanation from a necromancer made matters all the more easier. " I see.." It makes sense, in all honesty. And much moreso, when he uses Fu'Kesi Ma as an example.
  94.
  95. "I suppose that I should hurry then, especially if Tarquin plans on bringing back others." Her smile widens for that matter. "By the end of the year, I should be ready to do my first ritual.." She says, her hand raising, slightly pressing against her cheek..
  96.
  97. "Speaking of...Do you guys often use materials for the sake of safety before you resurrect someone or...Do you just do so with little preparation?" Maybe it depends on what's on the essence. Either way, in knowing that necromancer can 'link' themselves with another..
  98.
  99. This just means that she can bring Kayne down a notch, should he ever lose himself. She'll begin working on it immediately.. "Other than that, I suppose that...My questions are done for now. I'll return to you when I've advanced. Perhaps, you can overwatch my first ritual, yes? And make certain that I'm not doing anything wrong.."
  100. (Cho)
  101. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  102.
  103. [19:46:04] "Of course, the world moves as it will. There's little point to assigning blame when one can instead move to fix it." he'd reply with a shrug. "She'll do as she will, for reasons that are her own." Drew would murmur with a slight shrug. What will be will be. More and more that seemed to make sense.
  104.
  105. "I did wear a helmet when working on circuits, as the shards of bone can be... dangerous. But once you get the hang of it, you tend to... start to forgo the safety measures. I would advise working on rats first. Less of them to explode, and less ire if the circuits are ruined." He'd say, giving a somewhat kindly smile. "I'll watch if you wish, assuming I'm not killed in the near future. I did the same for Tarquin."
  106. (Drew Idd)
  107. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  108.
  109. [19:53:45]
  110. "Perhaps...I can have some people look for her and assist you?" she questions, pausing in curiosity. "I understand that functioning is...strange without it but, it'd be easier to find out what her endeavors are, so atleast, you can understand." It'd probably be better for Drew that way, but who knows. Maybe...Just maybe Celeste might be rather busy with learning new ways to bring back the dead. Or perhaps, learning more about the humonculi.
  111.
  112. But as of now, she just nods..
  113.
  114. "I'm certain that Dylerun has helmets made back at his home. I'll be sure to wear one of them-...Although, I'm certain it's too big for me." A gentle laugh spills past her lips, a joke on Dylerun's behalf. Surely, Drew won't tell him...Otherwise, she'd be in trouble with the smith. Either way..
  115.
  116. "No worries though, it shouldn't be too difuclt. But ah..Yes, before I begin, I'll come and get you so that you can watch me. I'll start on animals and then I'll work on bigger things." She adds, slowly beginning to turn before pausing..
  117.
  118. "I..must also ask. I should repay you for your lesson, yes? What is it that you desire? If I can get it for you then...Perhaps, it could be considered as payment." Hopefully, not anything that is too out of her reach..
  119. (Cho)
  120. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  121.
  122. [19:58:52] He would simply shake his head. "I know where she is, what she works on, it's just she neglects her other duties. But that's... not my place to halt. She's been replaced now. But the school still lay's dormant." Drew would shrug, giving Cho a wry smile.
  123.
  124. "Aye, that should be sufficient." Though he would quirk his head to one side. "I just ask that you not misuse it. Don't take after Morgan Deadwood, or Rebecca Ravenseer. No matter their skill, their use of that skill is... less than to be desired."
  125. (Drew Idd)
  126. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  127.
  128. [20:06:33]
  129. "...I see." She averts her gaze in thought for the moment. It is difficult to be uplifting when, well, everything that you say seems to make the situation seem a little more awkward. The Kitsune does nothing more than look away for the moment- a mild frown appearing upon her lips. "Well..I hope that your school returns to being active again. I know that many people are looking for teachers, so perhaps, I will direct them to your school...If desired." An awkward turn happens once more, the young Kitsune offering him a sheepish smile.
  130.
  131. "...Very well then, I suppose. Never heard of Morgan deadwood, but Rebecca Ravenseer's name does ring a bell. If she is still alive, I'd be surprised." After all, not many people take kindly to her 'Vlad-the-impaler'ing their own people. And Cho definitely didn't like the voracious style of works. It went...Overboard.
  132.
  133. Nevertheless..
  134.
  135. "I can assure you that I won't be like them. But until our next session, I suppose that I'll make myself scarce. Please, be safe, Drew...Do not do anything brash."
  136. (Cho)
