What brought you to Mineplex, and what has kept you here?

In early 2015, Mineplex was recommended to me by a cousin as it was recognised as one of the finest, most populated servers. When I joined, I didn't have much experience with Minecraft, but luckily, the games on Mineplex were simple, and did not require an extensive skill set to compete in. This motivated me to continue playing. The continuous updates and new game releases like Castle Siege and Heroes of GWEN provided new content for players to play to prevent game burnout. Furthermore, one of my favourite games was Death Tag, in which I quickly learned how to play, and made friends who took interest in the game as well. Another game I also enjoyed was Bridges, which caught my interest because of its competitive and teamwork aspects. Directly after it’s release, Bridges quickly came into vogue and was the first of its kind. I took advantage of this and played it for hours at a time. Most importantly, however, teasers of Clans intrigued me. Clans was, in my opinion, the crown achievement of the network. It’s involvement of customized legendary items with custom textures, inclusion of champions skills, and overall team-building opportunities make it my most cherished game on the network. From the time of its release to current time, I have been an active player. From the initial release, to Clans Season Six Map Two, I have been constantly online, strengthening my combat skills and team working skills. Since then I have become a seasoned clans player and am very familiar with all of the aspects of the game.
The principal reason I stayed was because of the community. I have made many friends during my time here—interacting with the community through the games I played and through chat—with whom I have established lifelong friendships with. Mineplex has been an easy way for me to interact with other people and spend my free time in enjoyment. In terms of my loyalty to Mineplex, I only play on the network. The community and advanced games for all types of players, whether you specify in PVP or in more pacifistic things, are unparalleled. The other competitors, mainly Hypixel, cannot compete with these virtues that Mineplex holds.

Is there anything specific that inspired you to want to join the staff team?

To begin with, I am especially passionate about Mineplex and Minecraft as a whole. I play Minecraft frequently, and most of the time I am on Mineplex, I am on Mineplex with friends playing different games while chatting. Becoming staff on this server would be a massive privilege for me, as I would also be one in the spotlight representing the server. I was inspired by other staff on the server, on how they can represent Mineplex in a positive light and ensure the player experience is satisfactory.

Furthermore, moderation has been something I love doing in general, whether it be on discord or Minecraft. Helping players and keeping a safe environment for players to play on is what I wish to achieve. By reaching staff, I want to also join and work among other staff members doing this job. I see the staff position on mineplex more than just in-game permissions and a tag. When you are brought into this Staff group, you become an elite. The friendships established in this group are durable. The Staff position provokes a new type of unity and leadership skills as well. After a few promotions from trainee, you will be shuffled into your own team of dedicated moderators to a specific spot on the network. I have experienced second-hand the bond the Clans Management Team has with one another. After the resignation of Busjack5, a beloved and respected Sr. Mod, GrandpaNguyen publicly expressed his gratitude for Busjack5’s contributions to the Moderation of Clans and the community itself. It is not only the Staff Tag and permissions I desire if I become staff, it is the unity and plausible prospering friendships that I would have the ability to make.

Have you had any outstanding positive or negative experiences on Mineplex?
I used to go to events during 2017-2018. Such as the Karaoke Events, I attended multiple of them. This is something I thoroughly enjoyed, as it was an entertaining hobby where I would also meet the same event community multiple times. I am also an avid clans player, which I have been playing from Alpha to Season 6: it is something I have loved since launch and continue to play it. It has had its positives and negatives, with glitches and a cheating problem. Despite this, I have still meticulously enjoyed the game.

One of my favourite gamemodes was the Weekend Brawl a few years ago. The idea of all players adding to a pool and receiving a reward was a unique idea I hadn't seen in a while across many servers. More importantly, the games such as OP Bridges which I showed great zeal for.

What is something you would suggest to improve Mineplex?
I believe the biggest problems regarding Mineplex at the moment, are cheating (which I have noticed has been decreasing) and glitches on gamemodes such as Clans. This is something that occurs with all servers, but if I were to become staff, I would work deligently to try and limit the breaking of rules and the abusion of glitches. However, with the not-so recent implementation of the /report command, Mineplex has taken a step forward on cheating players by providing some users the ability to /report a player in-game. However, this is not always a successful tactic. Sometimes, a player requires assistance immediately, but the other Staff Members may have their hands tied. Therefore, if I was to be a moderator, I can be the “next guy in line” to immediately assist a player. This is one of the things I wish to achieve on Mineplex as a staff member. Have you received any punishments at Mineplex, or any other server?
I have been banned once for x-ray on Badlion back in 2016 (I was using an x-ray pack). I have removed all forms of hacked clients and resource packs that provide unfair advantage.

All About You

What qualities or traits do you possess that could benefit the staff team?
I believe I would be a good addition to the staff team, as I have good leadership skills from my experience as a football team leader at my high school. I consider leadership to be the main quality consisting of moderation and being decisive. I work with others quite well with my experience on my football team and I am very cooperative and patient at times when required. This is important, as I will have to work with other staff members to resolve issues and to be ready to respond to issues of others while maintaining a mellow personality.

I am highly motivated because of my passion for this server and the strong will to help others. I have gained the qualities of being responsible and effective at enforcing rules from working at other servers. Furthermore, I can work under pressure and able to keep time management. Along with this, I can be professional and formal with others. (waffle here if you want, foot)

I can monitor my time correctly, moderating on Mineplex and maintaining my real-life studies and work. I own a business and possess the skills required to formally and respectfully moderate the server. To add, I will be able to arrive at requested meetings promptly and ensure to spare time for the server.  (waffle here if you want, foot)

I have been working as a prefect at my school and have learned to monitor and communicate with a range of ages, from young children to adults. I am capable to enforce rules and approach situations depending on the player. (waffle here if you want, foot)

What are you hoping to accomplish in your time on the staff team?
Primarily, I would hope to be able to reach Trainee so I can improve and progress to the moderator stage. During my time as a moderator, I wish to apply for the Clans Team, as it is something devote a lot of my time to playing. There are places for improvement in Clans, and with me becoming moderator comes with influence which I will use to enhance the game further. Most importantly, if I get the job, I hope to be able to better my work and communication skills, which is vital for not just Mineplex, but also my real life.

Do you have any moderation experience that helps you stand out from other candidates?
As stated previously, I am the leader of my school football team which contributes to skills that will benefit my moderation skills. Skills that come with this are leadership; teamwork; responsibility and flexibility. I am extremely supportive and will do what it takes to ensure my team does it's best. Furthermore, I have administered my own successful hosting company of mine in which I worked with many other people to operate it. This has helped me communicate with all sorts of people in a variety of situations and maintain a positive reputation. (waffle here if you want, foot)

I am an influential but supportive team player who is venturous and passionate about the things I do.

Is there anything else which you would like to add?
Overall, I hope to become a role model as a staff member on Mineplex and progress to the position of moderator and being part of the Clans Team.
