  1. Also, I believe that the "Network Shares" link will only let you browse CIFS / SMB (Windows) Shares. In order to access NFS (an older, predominantly Unix share format -- literally, Network File System) shares, I believe you +need+ to use the net.mounts file. There +are+ NFS server systems available that will run on Windows OS's, to allow you to use the NFS file system even if you don't run any Unix / Linux machines at home. Why would one want to use NFS to access shared files & folders on a Windows system, if the WDTV Live supports CIFS natively? If you go back and read through the whole thread, you'll see the performance measurements users took comparing NFS and CIFS access to the same shares; NFS gives you roughly double the throughput speed of CIFS (if you watch a file from a given network share, the file gets to the WDTV nearly twice as fast if you use NFS than if you use CIFS).
