it's sis love, the fic version

The Dersite trio gathered on Drew's world. Saki punched through a lich, while Drew speared another and Kane made quick work of a third.

In the aftermath of the battle, an urge to sing gripped the girls. They could tell it was happening, and they looked into each other's eyes, acknowledging their pact.

Kane stood on the cloud, staring at them as they began to sing.

"Let's face the facts about me and you," Drew took Saki's hand, "A love unspecified! Though I'm proud to call you 'Kung-fu Girl,' the crowd will always talk and stare."

"I-I'm not staring," Kane said. And he certainly wasn't thinking any untoward thoughts, either. But the girls ignored him, Saki breaking into song as she placed her hand over Drew's.

"I feel exactly those feelings, too, and that's why I keep them inside. 'Cause this girl can't bear the world's disdain, and sometimes it's easier to hide, than explain our..."

They broke into chorus together.

"Sis love, that's all it is! Sis love, she's mine, I'm her's, there's nothing gay about it in our eyes..."

Kane gave them an awkward look, trying not to think about what he was thinking about.

"You ask me 'bout this thing we share,"

"And she tenderly replies..." Drew's voice raised into a warble as she lifted her hand up, reaching for the sky.

"It's sis love!"

"Between sisters!"

Saki turned to Drew and explained through song. "We're closer than the average man and wife," and showed him her wrist, complete with bracelet.

Drew did the same, and said: "That's why our matching bracelets say Saki and Drew!"

"You know I'll stick by you," Saki turned back to Drew, "for the rest of my life..."

Drew asided to Kane, via song: "I'm the only one she's ever called a friend."

"Shut up!" Saki said, her embarrassment allowing her to break out of the song enchantment, just for a moment.

"There's no need to defend yourself..."

"Yeah right!"

"Just let it grow more and more each day. It's like I married my best friend," Drew sung.

"But in a totally straight way," Saki was quick to add. She couldn't resist the call of song any longer, and the two of them got up close as they sung in a duet.

"Let's go! It's sis love, don't compromise, the feeeling of some other girl," they held their hands over their chests. "Holding up your heart, into the sky...!"

Kane was definitely thinking things he shouldn't.

"I'll be there to care through all the lows."

"I'll be there to share the highs."

"It's sis love, between sisters!"

Drew turned to her friend, an honest smile on her face. "And when I say, "I love you, Saki," it's not what it impliiiies..."

"It's sis love... between...  sis... teeeers..."

Saki held out a hand to shake Drew's, but Drew swatted it away and embraced her.

By the end of that song, Kane was a very confused young man.
