  1. [12:29] {NARRATION} The Desert.
  2.
  3. A warm place where Illburg stands and where Cassius and Co have arrived to by the grace of the sands themselves. They had one goal, and one mission -- to board the first ship out of here to a legendary place that carries one of the smaller Leviathans known to exsistence.
  4.
  5. Though, getting there is only half the adventure.
  6.
  7. As they arrive at the docks, they find something that is awfully percuilar that can be traced by any Magi that is more than capable. Though, Renly may have been more attuned to such a thing. An Illness - Scurvy.
  8.
  9. Though, there was a twist to it that only he can tell would be able to actually destroy such a man who was only 5'5 and on the lithe side of life. On the ground of the desert, dying, feeling that corruption, there is a way to save him. Yet the voices that they make aren't friendly.
  10.
  11. "K-Kill me... please!! I- I can't take it."
  12.
  13. Closer expection can tell that this wasn't normal. Their teeth was darker than the darkest of Rhoynish and then some. How will the group react to such a thing?
  14. [12:35] Where else to leave but home?
  15.
  16. The Rhoynur merely smiled as they trudged through the sands; Arms remain crossed against his chest as his gaze lazily travels about him. Spending all that time in Alabastre really did make him homesick... How can one ever forget their roots?
  17.
  18. Armored boots clack away as they progress down the docks. Which boat was theirs again? Bay's brows knit as he takes a cursory glance towards the Gracia--
  19.
  20. Before pausing.
  21.
  22. Requests to die as some foreign illness took hold of those before them. Lips press into a thin line as he lets his gaze drift towards the Teraphim that had come along with them.
  23.
  24. "Any chance you can help them..? As much as I'd love to claim I'm a doctor it's a field I'm not too interested in these days." Shifting his attention back towards the afflicted he'd merely wait for Renly's reply.
  25. (Bay)
  26. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  27.
  28. [12:35] There was a quiet sucking of air from Cassius as he raised a hand to shadow over his eyes. The deserts blinding rays stretched across the sand. It was...a painful thing. Maybe he should have brought sunglasses...
  29.
  30. Regardless of that fact they carried onward. Arriving at the very docks in search of that ship. One able to transpire the depths of the sea towards one such library of Leviathans...or a temple of such. A pirate in any other manner he spied the man lying on the desert ground.
  31.
  32. A thin look of contempt spread across his face before he pulled out a small knife as he glanced back and forth from Bay to Renly. He was asking for death...What a painful life he was living.
  33.
  34. "If...you can't help him Renly, I think it would be best to give him a painless death...Or something like it."
  35. (Cassius Gracia)
  36. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  37.
  38. [12:36] He said he would be here, and here he was. Perhaps for a lack of participants.. Even so, as they arrive, something is amiss in the air for the young Greycloak; as if he could feel a palpable dread in the air, some sway of..
  39.
  40. .. corruption? When the man appears, sick and potentially dying, Renly immediately steps forward. Light comes from his own body, though it drained him to some degree..
  41.
  42. "..Of course. Right.."
  43.
  44. He couldn't let someone just die. Especially if he had the cure. Occultists had become more and more rampant for him.. If there was anything forward, he'd have to preserve his strength.
  45.
  46. "I can help you. You are safe," he declared, trying to press a hand to the man's forehead..
  47.
  48. "I can hear the whispers of your spirit, and it cries for.. redemption. Pray allow me."
  49.
  50. Unless he was stopped by the man, be it him retaliating or wanting to die that desperately, Renly tries to flush out the occult at once. Light teems from his form and toward the man, trying to trap it within him and banish it completely.
  51.
  52. If he was completely made of the occult .. or too far beyond saving, it may end up harming him more than doing good.
  53. (Renly)
  54. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  55.
  56. [12:40] {NARRATION} Bay was useless in the field. Cassius opted to give a quick death. Renly? He was the pure one.
  57.
  58. Cassius gains negative one morality; the sins already starting to crawl about on his back.
  59.
  60. Bay gains neither negative or positive karma; they feel nothing but a slight hint of guilt.
  61.
  62. Renly's ability to come through and help with the occult was one of kindness. They gain plus one morality as well as the ability to start with helping the Occult Scurvy of the man. Of course, this was no easy feat for just anyone. Alas, the occult and the holy mixing would only make it so that they would suffer before healing.
  63.
  64. "I-It hurts!"
  65.
  66. Like all things that are opposites, they attract. However when it came to the magic of Demons and Angels, they want nothing more to push apart and away. Upon forcing it, Renly would be able to slowly start the healing process while the man started to complain.
  67.
  68. But through that pain, the man would find some sort of relief. What will Renly do next?
  69. [12:42] Cassius Gracia whispers something.
  70. [12:42] Bay whispers something.
  71. [12:44] Cassius Gracia whispers something.
  72. [12:45] "Listen to my voice. The whispers of my spirit. I offer you sanctuary. I offer you redemption. Healing. Compassion," he speaks, the words hopefully distracting.. or beginning to help him calm down even as their magics intermingling burned.
  73.
  74. Light always had to triumph over darkness. There was a time when his own light was flooded, and he refused to see it happen again.
  75.
  76. "Will the occultism out. Think of hope. Life. Love. Protection. Warmth," he declared as he continued. Perhaps, it slowed down their adventure; a pit-stop to try and heal a man where the other two might have left him to die, or given him the painless death.
  77.
  78. They had brought the White Mage with them, and had no choice but to wait.
  79.
  80. His own mana continues, entering the man's circuits as it seeks out the strongest points of occult; striking those same points, and immediately attempting to relieve them.
  81.
  82. For the man, it was an intense, burning sensation followed by a quick soothe; akin to touching a hot iron and immediately submerging your hand in water before it can truly leave a lasting burn.
  83.
  84. For Renly, it was draining. Every strike against the darkness itself was a test of his willpower. Even so..
  85.
  86. Darkness was beginning to triumph over the Light in this war, in Esshar. he had no choice but to find his wins in small victories.. even here.
  87.
  88. "The Darkness has no power over you. Surrender to the Light."
  89.
  90. His eyes, alight with the golden glow of holy magic, give one last powerful pulse of cleansing mana before they fade and he's forced to step away.
  91. (Renly)
  92. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  93.
  94. [12:48] {NARRATION} Renly's overwhelming positivity and energy was something that was so used to the world. In a world that was so cold, everything that was good was only radiating through the energy of the life stream and making it that much more positive.
  95.
  96. It was because of this that Renly was able to help this poor, defeated man with some great ease. That ease would be able be sufficient enough to start purging the occult from the circuits of the mans teeth and start showing signs of white.
  97.
  98. It may have been the first time in thirty years.
  99.
  100. With the draining of the darkness, Renly would be able to cast most of the occult out of them and be able to satisfy the multitude of errors within the occult. However, there was just a fragement of it left in the back teeth of the man.
  101.
  102. Will Renly let the entire occult be purged at once? Or will they allow the natural circuits heal on their own and cast it away by itself now that it was introduced to the holy?
  103. [12:52] Renly continued to kneel over the man, unsure of what to do once the occult had been seized, trapped by the holy magic..
  104.
  105. And most certainly ready to die over time. Even so, what if he'd left him here? There was a chance that the man could come back and commit crimes, that he could return to attack innocent people..
  106.
  107. "Go to sleep," he declared. A warm wave of holy magic, dazzled in with the minor mounts of spirit magic that he could try and muster, in tune with his time magic, try and lull the man to ease the pain and force him to..
  108.
  109. Well, sleep.
  110.
  111. "I cannot allow him to keep the occult, if nobody is here to balance him." He declared. His eyes began to glow golden with holy magic one more time as holy magic flows into his system, overwhelming to completely purge the magic from him.
  112.
  113. "No longer will you need to harm people to sate your madness. Be free."
  114. (Renly)
  115. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  116.
  117. [12:55] {NARRATION} Go to sleep; those were the words that always everyone should be able to hear and find peace.
  118.
  119. Renly was able to find that they were in state of being too over zealous; it was because of that the man did definitely sleep. Perhaps longer than one should take in the eight hour cycle.
  120.
  121. As the Holy put them to sleep and Renly purged the remnants of the occult out of them, the people around him can tell that it may have been over done. Their entire body started to feel lifeless with a stillness in the heart that would lasts seconds inbetween beats.
  122.
  123. He might be fine.
  124. He might not.
  125.
  126. It was because of this that the guilt would set in.
  127.
  128. Net Neutral - Renly, Ray
  129. Negative - Cassius.
  130.
  131. The group would now move forward and on to the very docks, now. They had a few options on how to get to this. One was the biggest of pirate ships, perhaps it was treasure. The second was just a small raft. The very last one was just an old man waving to get them to come aboard.
  132.
  133. What will the group do?
  134. [12:56] Renly says, "I've done all that I can .. hopefully, he lives."
  135. [12:56] Cassius Gracia exclaims, "If not, you've condemmed him to a fate worse than death...Cheer up though!"
  136. [12:57] Renly frowns, taking out a jar of Lax Essence and a barbecue brush and beginning to slather it on the man's forehead, face, and all visible skin. It was the best he could do.
  137. (Renly)
  138. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  139.
  140. [12:58] {Item} You drop Lax Essence.
  141.
  142. *** Once again another lull which was irrelevant; one of the ECs was an occultist / captain, so it does pick back up
  143.
  144. [14:15] {NARRATION} The crushing of iron, the battling of blows. Some would say that it was just an awful inconvience to just be there, but who cares. As soon as they start making their way towards the quarters, they can already hear the madness that were to come...
  145.
  146. "Welcome. Ta ya doom."
  147.
  148. The chains were already there and ready.
  149. [14:16] Renly says, "God damn it."
  150. [14:17] Cassius Gracia says, "Huh...Neat."
  151. [14:17] Renly says, "ugh"
  152. [14:24] {Won Dangerous RPB against Yasuyoshi DM}
  153. [14:25] Renly side-eyes Cassius. This was awkward.
  154. (Renly)
  155. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  156.
  157. [14:25] Cassius has been blessed by the luck of the sea.
  158. (Cassius Gracia)
  159. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  160.
  161. [14:25] {NARRATION} The Captain was defeated.
  162.
  163. The chains came to an end.
  164.
  165. He was at the mercy of Renly.
  166. [14:28] The battle is long, and hard-fought, but Bay and Renly find a perfect synergy; himself dancing around the Sarradian's sands as he keeps the captain occupied, preventing him from reaching the young Ghede. The Skyfall Wire's drawstring is pulled many a time, firing arrows of light to deter his darkness..
  167.
  168. Finally, at the end of the battle, the chains are stuck into the sand by arrows restricting his escape.
  169.
  170. "It seems that I've come to redeem everybody in Ilburg, today." He declared. Once more ..
  171.
  172. His eyes began to shine with light. He called upon the mercy of the spirits.. But this time, he reaches backwards and pulls forth an arrow, composed of emerald and light magic..
  173.
  174. "Bow to your redemption. Find Mercy in the Light." He declared, pulling back on the string before firing it into his shoulder. It would destroy his inner occultism, and hopefully, rapidly heal him over..
  175.
  176. .. At least, that's what he would hope it does! It was the closest thing he would offer to mercy to a violent occultist.
  177. (Renly)
  178. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  179.
  180. [14:31] {NARRATION} The power of Renly once again show's their holy magic once more and in return, the amount of it purged into the circuits of the Occult Raged Captain. The holy meeting with their circuits as horrible screams as well as curses came from him.
  181.
  182. For minutes, the power of the darkness would pure from his body before it turned into just a single crisp of what he would used to be. A body that was lifeless for the moment as they now had a chance to start taking control of the ship itself.
  183.
  184. It was a good thing they didn't choose to go to the bod. They would've have faced something much worse, but at the same time, find something that they might have wanted.
  185.
  186. It was time to set sails, was it?
  187. But how will that adventure go for them?
  188.
