  ↪ if you wanted to talk about choyeon's odd obsession with trains, one might suggest you start with the day she was born. choyeon was born at exactly 12:47 PM on the seventeenth of february in 1993, and, much to her parent's dismay, she was born on a train. little ahn choyeon, the first child of ahn hyunwoo and seo hyeri wasn't due to be born until the beginning of march, and surprised her mother when she decided that she wanted to be born two weeks early, while her mother was on the train, travelling back to busan after going to visit some old friends in seoul. it's an ordeal that her mother claims she doesn't remember most of, and choyeon doesn't blame her, since her birth was no doubt painful and inconvenient, and if choyeon was completely honest, if her baby was born on a train, she'd be extremely embarrassed and never leave the house again. all choyeon knows was that it had definitely been an experience for her mother, who had delivered a baby in front of at least twenty bystanders, one of which was a midwife. she can't even begin to imagine the surprise on her father's face when he found out her mother had given birth two weeks prior to what they were expecting.

    if there is one thing that can be said about ahn choyeon, it is that she is extremely efficient. choyeon is like a well oiled machine, who can always be counted on to make things happen when they should. as an extremely punctual person, choyeon values deadlines, and getting things done on time, and she can't stand people who don't finish things in time. she's a hardworking person, and her grades all throughout school are an example of that. choyeon isn't the type to half ass anything, so everything she does is always completed to a high standard. she never gives up anything half way through, and you can bet that once she starts something, she will continue to work away at it until she's finished, even if it takes her a decade. ahn choyeon may be many things but a quitter is not one of them. in addition to this, choyeon is always prepared for everything. some people say it's ridiculous. choyeon will calmly say otherwise. she's the type of person that people often joke about having everything in her bag, and in all honesty, it's true. choyeon has everything she could possibly need, from bandaids to a paper clip to a screw driver hidden away in her purse. if you're ever out in public and need something, chances are choyeon has it. her friends often joke that she's probably got a fold up bicycle hidden in the depths of her bag, and others claim that she's cast a magic spell to make it bottomless. choyeon just likes to be prepared. she always has a plan for everything, and if that doesn't work, she's got a backup. forget plan a and plan b, ahn choyeon has a plan for every letter of the alphabet and then some. and given her line of work, it's honestly quite beneficial. that doesn't mean people don't like to tease her about it though.

    another thing to note about choyeon is that she is a very graceful person. she has an aura of calmness to her in the way she walks, and she always seems to move with her back straight and her head held up high. her posture is flawless, and she has really good balance, to the point where most people have never seen her fall over. people often wonder if she took ballet as a child, something that choyeon's always quick to turn down. she was never truly interested in dancing as a child, and it's something that she's not interested in now either, especially since she knows that she is a really horrible dancer and looks like something akin to a dying fish on the few occasions her friends have managed to drag her out to a club. she's a very poised person, and it goes hand in hand with her calm and collected nature. choyeon is always calm, no matter what the situation, and it's both a good thing and a bad thing. her blank expression is her resting face, and it can be both calming and offsetting at the same time. on one hand, choyeon is a blessing to have around in a crisis. she always knows exactly what to do (because she's got a million different plans), but she never seems to lose her head. so while normal civilians are loosing their heads, choyeon's already working on a way to get everyone out safely and minimise the damage. however, her calmness seems to be her default emotion, and the fact that she never seems to get mad scares people more than her actually getting angry would. no one has ever seen her lose her temper before, and people often wonder if it's because she's a saint or something, but no one dares to try and push her buttons too far. after all, it's the calmness people who have the most terrifying tempers, and no one wants to see choyeon lose it.

    observant is choyeon's middle name, and it's not just because she has 20/20 vision. choyeon has a tendency to notice things that most other people don't, like the colour of bench tops in a cafe she's visited once, or the different shades of green on a plant outside the neighbour's balcony. she notices a lot of weird and insignificant things, but she believes that one day it'll come in useful. choyeon's seen enough spy movies to know that it's easy to miss the important details, and anything could be a clue, and it's part of the reason why she's begun to take notice of seemingly pointless things – something that started as a conscious habit and has now turned into an instinct that she barely registers she's doing. she's also a very calculating person, and behind her blank face and calm expressions are her calculating eyes. as already mentioned, choyeon is extremely observant, and nothing ever gets past her – whether it be dodgy and illegal deals, or something as simple as her roommate trying to sneak back into the house with a bottle full of vodka. choyeon is always calculating every situation, trying to figure out every possible outcome that could follow her actions. she's read too much on the butterfly effect, and she knows that even the smallest thing could cause a complete disaster, so choyeon always likes to think things through before she goes making reckless decisions, especially in this line of work where one wrong move could lead to her demise. choyeon's generally really quick on her feet, and is always able to figure out the best solution within seconds, a talent that not many other people have. it helps that she's always been extremely intelligent, smart enough to graduate at the top of her class at the academy, scoring well and beyond the scores of majority of her classmates.

    due to her constant blank face, choyeon has a tendency to come off as emotionless and indifferent. given her line of work, it's not always so bad, because sometimes emotion really is weakness. but choyeon's gotten to the point where she keeps all emotion off her face all the time. she's become very good at hiding her emotions, and people can often never tell what she's thinking. choyeon could be on the verge of an emotional breakdown and no one would be able to tell because she's that good at keeping her emotions under wraps. it's part of the reason that she's so good at keeping secrets, because she spends majority of her life trying to hide her emotions from anyone who isn't her brother or an extremely close friend. choyeon is also a very independent person, which is another one of her neutral traits. she never feels the need to rely on others, and is fully capable of surviving on her own. she's never wanted to be someone who relies on a boy to take care of her, and she's extremely please by the fact that she's already earning herself a living, in something that she actually likes, despite all the pressure that was put on her to get into asia's police academy in the first place. however, she's so independent to the point that she hates relying on anyone else, and feels the need to do everything herself. she doesn't like owing people things, and she never likes to ask for help, even if she really needs it. she's taken to pushing people away so she won't seem dependent, because she's grown believing that she needs to be a strong women who doesn't need help from anyone. she struggles to come to terms with the fact that it is okay to ask for help every once in a while, and there is nothing wrong with not people able to do something.

    in addition to this, choyeon is also an extremely stubborn person. she's the type of person who likes to be right, even if she's more quiet about it. she knows she's smart, because her grades certainly don't lie, and she's never ever cheated on a test. so naturally, she's not to pleased when people try to prove her wrong, and she's even more displeased when it turns out that she is wrong. she's stubborn in the fact that she'll continue to argue her point until the very end, and often it'll be the most you ever hear her speak. she's also extremely impatient, and hates being kept waiting. as someone who is extremely punctual, she hates anyone who isn't, and it annoys her to no end to be stuck waiting around for people who are running more than five minutes late, and she's never keen to except excuses like "the traffic was bad" or "i woke up late". and despite her emotionless, blank and calm aura, ahn choyeon is actually one of the most petty people to walk the planet. like seriously. she never gets angry, but that doesn't mean that she loves everyone and doesn't hate anyone. it's actually really easy to annoy her and end up on her bad side, but choyeon prefers to take a more passive aggressive approach to the people she doesn't like. she's not someone you want to piss off, because she's extremely good at being petty. she's not the type to do anything serious or seek revenge, but choyeon knows a lot of ways to get on your nerves without even trying. don't test her, because in a battle of pettiness, choyeon will come out on top. others can only dream of being her level of petty.

    she's a very caring person, even though she doesn't look like it. she might not be the mom friend of the group, but that doesn't mean that she's not motherlike. she doesn't openly fuss over the others, but instead likes to look after the others in more subtle ways. like leaving an extra chocolate pudding when she sees one of her friends upset, or steering away conversations from awkward topics. she never outright approaches the others to take care of them, she just prefers to keep it behind the scenes. just because she's not obviously obvious about her affections like SOBER, doesn't mean she doesn't care about the others, because choyeon is fiercely protective over her friends, even if people don't always realise it. despite her distant aura, choyeon actually really likes attention, she just doesn't know how to show it. she likes hugs and cuddling, but she's too scared to initiate it, and she doesn't want to come of as too dependent, but she really likes physical comfort, even though she won't admit it. she knows that people aren't mind readers and won't naturally know what she's thinking, but she's too proud to ask, and just hopes that one day someone will pick up on her extremely subtle hints and give her what she wants. she's spent so long thinking that she needs to be a stone faced bitch all the time that she's not good at being overly affectionate, even if all she wants in life is someone to cuddle her (somethign her boyfriend certainly isn't fulfilling).
