On planes of endless black

Madh strode alone

Through dark and weird

In madness and in doubt.



To skies so black and vast

Madh raised his head in search

Of guidance bright

Yet found none such

Thus light must come to be.



The world was free of words

He his quill drew from his veins

Ink black and true

To write the words

As thus the words were born.

Great strength and fire's craft

He brought into

The world so strong

A heroe’s bravery.



Madh wrote Fjoersa the dear

Laughter's and beauty's face

She sang to all

The air glistened

As she brought joyful love.



Madh wrote Hallif the wise

As stern and cold as wind

He knew to keep

Hearth and peace

As such that warmth may stay.



The days slew Madh in time

And in time tears did flow

The corpse of Madh

Laid motionless

Creation’s fertile soil.
