  1. [All of this dialogue plays in sequence as a cutscene once you talk to Rex Raptor ("Dinosaur Ryuuzaki" in Japanese), the third floor boss]
  2.
  3. [Tristan ("Honda") speaks, trapped in an RPG miniature on the RPG table]
  4. おおっ
  5. ゆうぎ-ぃ!
  6. きてくれると おもったぜ!!
  7. この きょうりゅうヤロウを
  8. ぶったおしてくれ!!
  9. Whoa, Yugi! I knew you'd come! Destroy this dinosaur guy!
  10.
  11. [Rex's responds. He's a arrogant and rude expert duelist teenager, but he plays fair. He wants to be the greatest duelist. He's most known for dueling Joey early on in the anime, betting Red Eyes Black Dragon in the duel, and losing it.]
  12. やかましいワ!!
  13. タコやきにして くってまうぞ!!
  14. So noisy! I'll eat you like takoyaki! [TN: That's a literal translation, but the concept is more a "Shut up or else" warning]
  15.
  16. [Yami Yugi responds]
  17. ダイナソ-りゅうざき!
  18. Rex Raptor!
  19.
  20. [Rex responds]
  21. へへ... まっとったで-
  22. ゆうぎ!!
  23. Hehe... I've been waiting, Yugi!
  24.
  25. [Yami Yugi responds]
  26. ほんだくんを かえしてもらうぜ!
  27. Give Tristan back to me!
  28.
  29. [Rex responds]
  30. ま ワイにとっちゃ こんな
  31. ひとじちまがいの にんぎょうなんて
  32. かんけい あらへんわ!
  33. ただし... ル-ルは ル-ルや!
  34. ワイに かてたら かえしたるわ!!
  35. I have no connection to this stolen doll! [TN: Literally something like, "To me, this stolen fake-human doll has absolutely no relation!" The point of this sentence is to get across the idea of like "I'm not involved in that, I don't really care if you get Tristan back or not. I just want to challenge you!"]
  36. But... rules are rules! I'll give it back if you beat me!
  37.
  38. [Tristan responds]
  39. ゆうぎ
  40. オレの いのちは あずけたぜ...!
  41. Yugi, I'm entrusting my life to you! [TN: "Giving" is the more literal word here than "entrusting". I don't think "giving my life to you" reads right in English, but I doubt a kinda-punk kid like Tristan would use "entrusting" here either...]
  42.
  43. [Yami Yugi responds]
  44. あんしん してくれ!
  45. りゅうざきは オレが
  46. ぶったおして みせるぜ!!
  47. Don't worry! Watch, I'll defeat Rex!
  48.
  49. [Rex responds]
  50. へ...
  51. ずいぶんと いせいの いいこっちゃ!
  52. ほな はよう はじめるで!
  53. ゲ-ムスタ-トや!
  54. Heh...
  55. That's the spirit! [TN: Literally it's like, "Very high-spirited thing!" So I think it's just him smirking about how Yugi's getting into it]
  56. So, let's get it started! Game start!
  57.
  58. ===================================================
  59.
  60. [All of this dialogue plays in sequence as a cutscene once you beat the RPG]
  61.
  62. [Rex speaking]
  63. ワイが まけたやと-!
  64. ウソや- なっとくできん!!
  65. I lost!
  66. There's no way! I don't believe it!
  67.
  68. [Tristan responds]
  69. ゆうぎ やったな!
  70. オレは しんじてたぜ!!
  71. Awesome, Yugi! I knew you could do it!
  72.
  73. [Yami Yugi responds]
  74. ほんだくんの にんぎょうは
  75. もらっていくぜ!
  76. Give me back Tristan's doll!
  77.
  78. [Rex responds]
  79. そんなモン くれたるワ!!
  80. それよか もういちど...
  81. もういちど ワイと バトルや!!
  82. You can have that thing! [TN: Literally like "I give you such a trifle". He's emphasizing that he really doesn't care if Yugi takes Tristan or not, he just wants to challenge Yugi again]
  83. That's it, once more...
  84. Battle with me one more time!
  85.
  86. [Yami Yugi responds]
  87. あいにくだが
  88. オレは オレを まっている
  89. なかまのために たたかっている...
  90. オマエに つきあっている
  91. ヒマは ねえぜ!
  92. Unfortunately, I'm fighting for my friends who are waiting for me... [TN: A kind of literal translation that reads awkwardly, should be cleaned up. The point is he can't battle Rex again because he's busy saving his friends]
  93. I don't have time to hang around with you!
  94.
  95. [Rex responds]
  96. クッ... クソ-!
  97. ワイは あきらめへん...!
  98. あきらめへんで!!
  99. S-shit! I won't give up...
  100. I won't give up!
  101. [TN: Unlike Mokuba and Weevil, Rex doesn't run off here. Also, he will ambush the player later in the game and force them into a Capmon battle as a rematch]
  102.
  103. [Tristan responds. This line only appears if you win without any Game Overs during the RPG, and gives you Joey's MC ]
  104. ゆうぎ!
  105. オレも おまえに ちからをかすぜ!
  106. Yugi! I'm going to give you my power too! [TN: Literal, might be better translated as just "I'm going to help you too"]
  107.
  108. [Narration, not dialogue]
  109. ほんだの にんぎょうが
  110. つかえるように なりました
  111. Tristan's doll is now available.
  112.
  113. ===================================================
  114. [NOTE: The plant and exit text are the same in all five boss rooms, so we should make sure we're consistent with how we translate them]
  115.
  116. [Talking to Rex again before leaving]
  117. ワイは あきらめへん...!
  118. あきらめへんで!!
  119. I won't give up...
  120. I won't give up!
  121.
  122. [Examine the plant in the room]
  123. かんようしょくぶつだ!
  124. It's a houseplant!
  125.
  126. [Examine the exit in the room before beating the RPG]
  127. 4Fへの とびらは
  128. かたく とざされている...
  129. ダ-クマスタ-を たおすしかない!!
  130. The door to floor 4 is stubbornly held back... [TN: Like, it's stuck or sealed or something]
  131. You have no choice but to defeat the Dark Master!
  132.
  133. [Examine the table for the first time. It's a huge table with RPG dioramas, models, etc on it]
  134. バトルフィ-ルドは
  135. こうりょうとした だいちに
  136. しんでんが はいちされている...
  137. This battlefield is a shrine surrounded by barren earth... [TN: Literally it says like, "A shrine positioned on barren earth", but I think that reads a bit awkward in English]
  138.
  139. [Examine the table again]
  140. つぎは こうやの
  141. フィ-ルドのようだ...
  142. Seems next is a wasteland field... [TN: This reads awkward - it's hinting that this RPG world will be a wasteland environment. The word "wasteland" here is supposed to evoke like, maybe a rocky desert? It could also be "wilderness", "prairie", "desert", "plain", ... Use whatever makes the most sense and we'll be consistent]
  143. [TN: One other point here and all of the locations in Rex's RPG world that use this word, "kouya": There is a Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG card with this name that's translated in English as "Wasteland"]
