  1. Luis,
  2.
  3. I am taking the time to email you because I was very dissatisfied with my Kia experience yesterday. I was in the market to buy a Kia Forte 5-Door with built in Nav, bluetooth, backup cam, etc.
  4.
  5. I dealt with Dexter, and while he wasn't overly kind, he was nice and gave me the information I needed. I wasn't dissatisfied with him at all. His first offer to me was $19,275 (I might be slightly off in the 75, but it was close to this), with a $3,000 down payment. This included my trade-in of a 2003 Hyundai Elantra at the $5000 minimum.

  7. As this was simply just the sticker price listed on the vehicle, I told Dexter that I wasn't interested. He asked what I wanted to see and I told him $10,000 out the door. He obviously said this wasn't possible, so I asked him to do the best that he could and we would go from there. He said "If I could get the starting price from $25,000 to $21,000 would that be something you would be interested in?" (this would bring the price out the door to $18,275). I said it would be close, but that I believed he could do better.

  9. At this point, Dexter left and came back a few minutes later with a man in a suit. I, unfortunately didn't get his name, mostly because I could only understand about every other word he said due to a thick accent, but he immediately went into sales mode with me. He asked on a scale of 1-10 what would I rate the car. I told him 8, and when asked, I simply said that it wasn't a Dodge Viper and therefore wouldn't be a 10. We ran around this point in circles for another minute, with me simply telling him all I wanted to see was his best possible price. He was more interested in trying to sell me on the car I already wanted.
  10.
  11. Eventually, he showed me the "invoice" for the car that I wanted and said that "he" paid $20,000 for it, so where did I get $10,000? (this was obviously a ridiculous statement because we both know that "he" didn't buy anything, and that while that is the number that gets put on paper, Kia rebates you a bunch after the sale of that car, but this isn't a line unique to your dealership, so I'm not holding that against him or you).
  12.
  13. I simply said (for roughly the 10th time in the last 5 minutes) what is the best price he could do out the door? He said $23,500. Seeing as how this is over $1000 higher than the first offer I was given, I was taken aback. I asked and he said that the price difference from $19.2 to $23.5 was because of the $3000 down payment. Now, I may not be a math teacher, but $19.2 + $3 is $22.2 thousand, not $23.5.

  15. The ridiculous price offered by the gentleman was only slightly irritating compared to his attitude toward me. I entered the store and told Dexter that I wanted to buy a car and that I was interested in purchasing the Forte and possibly a Sadona as well. I told him that I wanted options for either finance or purchasing cash. When they scanned my ID they found that I had been to KIA before in the last 6 months, looking at the same vehicle. I've been in sales before, and had I seen all these signs, I would have bent over backwards to sell me a car. Instead, I was met with disdain and irritation from the sales manager at your location.
  16.
  17. I am still in the market for this car, so I will be heading to another KIA dealer today. I just wanted to take the time to let you know what your managers are doing and saying to your customers.
  18.
  19. Thank you for taking the time to set up an automated email that seems personal to all the customers that enter your dealership.
  20.
  21. Thanks,
  22.
