- He found it by feel, gloved fingers tracing the edges until he came to the hinges. The next step was difficult to accomplish while underwater, in the dark, and being buffeted by a fast-moving current.
- Flipping up his tri-goggles, Fisher pulled a black-clad flexible cable from another pouch. The cable ended in a tiny micro-camera, small enough to fit through a keyhole gap in the hatch. Connecting the other end to his OPSAT, he fed the snake-camera rig through until it relayed a grainy image of the mechanical room above the pipes. Wedging himself in place, Fisher panned the optic cable around, and didn’t proceed until he was sure the room was empty.
