  1. Proto Man moveset Concept.

  3. Proto Man would be to Mega Man what Isabelle is to Villager. Sharing many attributes, but introducing plenty of differences as well. For this moveset, I will be mainly referencing the games where Proto Man is either playable, or has a good sized role. Aka Megamans 3, 5, 9, and 10. To tie into 9 and 10, Proto Man would overall be faster than Mega Man, but lighter to compensate; keeping the risk Vs reward aspect from those games.

  5. Entrance animation:
  6. Same as Mega Mans, except red and with Proto Mans signature whistle.

  8. Jab:
  9. Same as Mega Mans. Except the pellets are more powerful and you can only shoot two at a time.

  11. Dash Attack: Charge Kick.
  12. Based off the attack from Mega Man 5, Proto Man preforms a maneuver similar to Mega Mans Down Tilt. The difference here is that there is energy surrounding his legs just like in MM5. This both makes the move more powerful, but also grants armor on his legs. Though to compensate it has a fair bit more end lag.

  29. Forward Air: Triple Blade
  30. Proto Man quickly shoots three blades out in front of him. One would go straight, one would go at a negative 50 degree angle, and one would go at a negative 75 degree angle. Hitting an opponent at point blank range with this weapon causes heavy damage, just like Mega Man 10.

  32. Back Air: Shadow Blade.
  33. Proto Man quickly throws the Shadow Blade from Mega Man 3 right behind him. It doesn’t go nearly as far as the Metal Blades do, but they do come back and do slightly more damage.

  38. Forward Smash: Charge shot.
  39. Same as Mega Mans. However to keep the risk vs reward aspect and to further tie into Mega Man 9 and 10, Proto Man can walk while charging his forward smash. No you can’t really do anything while walking and you don’t go nearly as fast as you do normally, but it still could come in handy for mix ups.

  112. 2-The grey bits become white, and the red parts become brownish pink. This references Mega Mans colors when using the Charge Kick weapon in Megaman 5.
  113. 3-The grey bits turn white and the red parts become dark magenta. This references Proto Mans colors when using the Triple Blade weapon in Mega Man 10.
