- High school student Scott McCall gets bitten by a werewolf and has his whole life turned around. With his best friend Stiles Stilinski by his side they work through these changes and help save beacon hills from various different supernatural threats.
- Scott McCall was just another kid in high school. Until, one night his best friend Stiles brings him to the woods, to look for a dead body, and Scott is bitten by a werewolf. Being a werewolf came with its perks- stronger, faster, new star in the lacrosse team, popularity- but also made it hard to control his anger. Scott has also fallen for the new girl in town, Allison, whose dad is trying to hunt and kill Scott. Scott now has to try and balance his out of control life, figure out how to control his new powers, try not to be killed by the alpha that bit him, and protect Allison- and keep her from finding out his big secret.
- I had heard lots about this show on various social media outlets, but glanced over it due to the name and the general "Twilighty" vibe I got from it. The fact that it was an MTV show didn't encourage any enthusiasm on my part. Nonetheless, I decided to check it out, at this point, the show was wrapping up the first half of season 3. After watching the first three episodes, I was enjoying myself, but decided to take a break. Much to my surprise, I found myself hopelessly tempted and I was drawn back to my computer to keep watching. I was hooked! People generally make the assumption that the show's viewer are (mainly) teen girls who are obsessed with the good looking cast. While that is true, the biggest draw for myself was the suspense that each episode brought. Aside from a few 'spoiled apple' episodes, each episode has a good arc in the story, it always builds up to a climatic point that doesn't leave you bored, but also isn't quite so satisfying that you can leave the episode without a feeling of suspense. The show is exceptionally skilled at doing that, more than other action-packed, supernatural/fantasy shows. Whenever you feel there's about to be a blissful resolution, boom! You're wrong, the writers manage to twist something around that leaves you nearly wailing for more. Jeff Davis and his team have done a pretty spectacular job of writing each episode, even if overarching season's plot hasn't been the strongest. <br/><br/>In other shows that fans of this one are interested in, such as Vampire Diaries or Supernatural, the whole story or plot of the season gets lost in the mess of each episode, and it ends up like the writers are using the last few episodes of a season to pull everything back together and find where all their loose ends have gone because suddenly when they shot one clip it doesn't really make sense with something else that's going on and it turns into one. Big. Mess. In Teen Wolf, the essence of the season remains the top priority, and not trying to create a single episode that will grab ratings to somehow fit into the plot of the season. Each episode never veers way off track so that the writers have to scramble to reel it back in. So I'm very happy that they've managed to do that, and a large part of that is because each season is relatively small, so they're not grasping at straws to figure out what to do. However, season 5 is supposed to be 20 episodes with a single plot line, unlike season 3 which was split into two different plot lines, so I'm looking anticipating if Teen Wolf can continue that style of writing.<br/><br/>When it comes to acting, don't expect any Emmy-worthy performances from the cast in the first two seasons. But the acting is nowhere near bland either. Nearly the entire cast was coming in new, and considering that, they did a pretty darn good job. Portrayal of lines and the delivery was spot on in many scenes, and I'm happy to say that the acting gets even better as the show progresses. With new additions coming in, the cast always remains fresh, especially because of the possibility that anyone and everyone can be killed at any moment! And even when main or guest characters die, it reinforces the harsh truth that death can happen to anyone, and it doesn't leave behind audience favorites because it's kind. Death is cruel, and leaves a blast zone when it happens. The show doesn't forget that, and I applaud it for being able to do so. <br/><br/>All in all, this show gets severely judged because of it's somewhat cheesy name, but the show has developed far from that with its edgy, hard-hitting horror, bittersweet romance, death-defying action, painful suspense, and humor in just the right places. If you have a slight interest in this show, or even if you don't, I recommend you watch the first few episodes (with consideration of the newness of the whole cast and crew) and give it a fair shot with no prejudice. Even if it turns out to not be your 'style' of TV, the show is quite good, considering it came late into the supernatural game after following titles like Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, and unfortunately, even Twilight.
- this is the most amazing show i ever seen! i'm so in love with each player over there specially with Shelly i'm recommend you to see it i'm sure you will love her too. good luck! please just try to see one episode give it a chance. even if you wont like it know that you tried and its just not for you so here is the people in the show, teen wolf- one is a teen boy who is not good in sport with his friend. one day they went to the woods to find a dead body and one of them got bitten he started to be fast and very very strong and to become a wolf. he finds more like him and together they try to live normally and to not get caught.
- All of Teen Wolf's werewolves are made more powerful when they possess a position in a pack. This is not just strength in numbers, it literally renders them quicker and stronger. The pack hierarchy that has been seen thus far is as follows:<br/><br/>Alpha-The Alpha Werewolf is the strongest member and leader of the pack. They possess red eyes and the ability to force members of their pack into or out of wolf form by howling. In addition, wounds inflicted by an Alpha onto his underlings do not super-heal the way normal injuries would. Scott is one of these.<br/><br/>Beta- The soldiers or "guard dogs" of the pack, they seem to make up the breadth of the forces.<br/><br/>Omega- The lone wolf, this is a werewolf who no longer has a pack, either because he/she left, was banished, or his/her packmates are all dead. They are the physically weakest of the three.<br/><br/>When a Beta or an Omega morphs, they are still very human looking, just with beastly supernatural powers, characteristics, and physical changes. (Claws, Eye Color Change, Fangs, Wolf Nose, and Mutton Chops).<br/><br/>Alphas who descend into killing humans and enjoying transform monstrously (i.e Peter Hale in the first season as the first season's antagonist and Scott McCall's slight changes in Season 4 when slicing in to a Deadpool Hunter of the Hunters).<br/><br/>Werewolves who kill someone for the first time and do not take visceral pleasure in it (werewolves that are Betas or Omegas) have their eyes change from Yellow to Blue.<br/><br/>In Season 3 Part One A Pack comprising entirely of Alphas are introduced as tertiary antagonists, Ethan and Aiden two identical twin members of the Alpha Pack have the special ability of being able to conjoin their bodies and to form a hulking large Alpha of even more immense strength and stature. Kali another member of the Alpha Pack has clawed toe nails which are a unique werewolf weapon of hers. Deucalion the leader of the Alpha Pact is known as the Demon Wolf as with all the werewolves he has killed and innocents he has transcended beyond just a horrific visage but into actual part demonic entity, one in touch with the currents emanated by Beacon Hills and The Nemeton, his demonic monster visage is revealed in the Season 3 part one finale Lunar Ellipse, he regains the sight he lost at Gerard Argent's hands when he wolfs out in Demon Wolf visage).<br/><br/>The Chimera hybrid monsters of Season 5 created by The Dread Doctors have their first primary set of DNA mixture are of werewolf.Before the second season was broadcast,20th Century Fox released the first season on DVD in the USA on May 22nd, 2012. As a special gift for the fans, an extended version of the season finale "Code Breaker" was put on the disc next to the TV-version. It differs from the TV-version in numerous ways, but rarely offers any interesting or important changes of the plot. What remain are extended and additional dialogue or generally scenes which run for a few more seconds.
