Colleagues,

I know bringing politics into work is uncomfortable for many of us. However, the events in our country over the last few days make me feel like it would be wrong to keep silent.

I have been horrified, as I imagine many of you have been, to watch as the largely peaceful protests against the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor around the country have been violently suppressed by police. It has been made plain to see what our fellow Americans of Color have been telling us for generations; policing in this country is deeply racist, and serves as a fundamental tool for preserving White Supremacy in the United States.

I can no longer compromise my own moral beliefs by working at a company that supplies equipment to law enforcement. Effective immediately I am resigning from my position here at Cradlepoint.

In addition, I call upon Cradlepoint's leadership to:

1) Make public statements across Cradlepoint's social media in support of racial justice and the Black Lives Matter movement by end of day. This is the absolute minimum that they can do and should not be controversial.

2) Place a moratorium on further law enforcement business until substantial law enforcement reform is enacted at the national level. Such reform must include an end to the so-called "qualified immunity" legal doctrine.

For any Cradlepoint employees that wish to organize for further action inside the company, I have included my personal email at the bottom of this statement. I will try to help you organize anonymously so that you need not fear reprisal in our Right to Work state.
