It was only natural for him to feel some moment of nervousness. Yet, here he was. No regrets on the entire thing. Wind. . And Water. . No doubt, he probably had ice. Rather, he was hoping it was ice.A deep breath was given, something he felt was just needed for something like this. His eyes faded, grew weary, almost like he had aged during the wait of the moment like this. A small murmur under his lips, almost as if he was repeating some chant to himself. It wasn't a prayer. It was just two syllables. Probably two words.He did not know the man he was up against. He probably had years in his belt, fought in more excursions than Feng would in the new year. But taht was more of a reason to fight now, wasn't it?"Valmasian dog. . If you were to hold back against me, that would be disservice to me in general! Hold your tongue and give me a good fight!" Feng roared out as he grabbed the staff and his cosmic aura had begun to strengthen itself.He was ready.

When his eyes fell upon Chiaki, a fellow swordsman and wielder of flames, he barked toward her as he narrowed his charge toward her vicinity,"You! Let's see whose flames burn with greater passion!"

There was no hesitation in any of his moves, even as the being returned with their own--adequately painful, offensives. Ren would timply take them, and retort with his own. At times, bashing the blade into him like a shield to daze him, then bring it around to continue the hulking sweeps.Eventually, he brought the blade down hard against the undead, sending them back while he himself took slow breathes--taking the time to catch his breath."Is that all you have to offer, HEATHEN?!"

His eyes lowered somewhat as he would rise the staff upwards, "Are you really going to say such things?" Feng asked finally. His fighting style wasn't annoying. That meant he could actually try and fight without much push this time!The cosmic aura which was slowly waning around him imbued itself with more vigor, until he felt something slam into his chest. It was not from Dekel however. He groaned in pain as he gripped at his chest, almost like he was feeling something just from reigniting the cosmic aura around him. He was not to lose.Don't die. The words were even more pure in consistency as he gripped onto the staff once more. Don't be scared, don't die. Don't be scared, don't die! Words that only one could fix in their head. There was so much that life had to offer it. Was it truly okay for you to resign in such a way?! Huh?! Listen, Feng!His eyes lit up. For the first time, he didn't want to guard a gate, for the first time he wanted to fight with no strings attached. And this was it. The fight he wanted, but most importantly, it was the first time he had wanted to live. He grabbed the staff tightly and stared on at Dekel.". . Heh. . Can't die here today. I rather not make a certain friend who likes to talk with me sad." He spoke. It was odd to say such things in hte middle of battle. But he shook his head and had begun to motion the staff infront of him. "I rather not sign my death certificate today. Sorry." He continued to fight.

[18:22:01] Their battle raged, and flames began to consume their battlefield, swallowing and emblazening trees, foliage, and even each other briefly, it wasn't long before the two were simply in the midst of a scorching inferno. The illusions of his foe were simialr to those whom he'd faced before, though it often felt as if he were running through the same patch of burning forest, and that his adversary was nowhere to be found while he was pummeled by unseen forces.Yet he was not so easy to deceive, and the more damage that the berserker took, the more determined he became, and the more he succumbed to the taint of the occult. A fleeting glimpse was all it took to free himself of their tricks, and the Bulwark's sword crashed against the armor of his enemy, Chiaki, time and agian, though with insufficient force to fell her.A final push from a gravitational fluxuation sent him soaring through the air and crashing into a burning tree, shattering it's weakened trunk and forcing it to collapse on him, though he was far from finished. The trunk was hefted and tossed aside, landing with a thud, and the berserker's hateful, bloodthirsty glare rest solely upon her as he rushed forward once more.

He had flashbacks, even more flashbacks as the fight went on, telling him, encouraging him to keep going. To live. He didn't want to make the friends that were alive right now sad. He didn't want to the only person who.The winds sliced up the trees and land, ice that thawed away on the ground, water washed over the plains. If he wasn't careful, he could be killed from one of those things in a second, "Apologies. . Was just. . thinking it over for a moment." Feng said as he allowed the sputter of blood to dribble down his lips. It was so nostalgic to him in that moment.He wanted to live. And he sure as hell knew the man next to him wanted to also live so badly. Or maybe he didn't. Maybe he was relying on the necromatic abilities of his people. Feng didn't know the reason why, but he didn't care either. He wanted to see to it that he could win. Not for his sake, but for other people! It was something he woke up to.His body had begun to become battered and messed up due to it, "Do you truly wish this to be to the death? Do you have no reason to live?" Feng asked him. A peculiar question to ask your enemy in war, but he was honorable enough to ask it as he prepared once more. It was something he pondered a lot durng this fight that he had to ask that question.

The Aspect of Despair had truly been riled up. His cyan eyes, seemed to become lighter.. A deeper shade of blue than usual; as he glared towards his opponant. Part of him wanted to know their name, but his pride would not allow him to ask-- that and his racist nature.Several grey clouds seem to appear skyward. All of which releasing deafening booms of thunder, clearly showing that lightning was indeed present.Dekel's mind flickered back to the last bout-- remembering how exactly he was downed."My reason for living.. Is to bring death. And to finally, achieve it myself. I am Dekel Lazos, Aspect of Despair!" he'd exclaim.

  304. [18:46:46] The lightning was a fine addition to all of this. It was a crazy match of three magics, much like Feng. Only one of nature, and like Dekel one of lightning. It was almost like everytime Feng was put on death's door, he was the one to keep rising up and out of the ashes.He was not done. The more Dekel tried to attack and land a finishing blow, Feng dodged and fired something back at him to keep him at bay, "I. . . WON'T DIE HERE!" Feng fired the cosmic ray beam at Dekel, forcing him back and away, and trying to push him away, only for an ice projectile to gash him in the right arm. It wasn't horrible, but it was certainly healable if anything.He could still survive. As Dekel went on a rampage, Feng moved between the trees and fired projectiles whenever they got close, "Round-eye." Feng smply said as he pushed back and away, using thetrees to get better footing and escape. It was clear Dekel lost his cool too much to focus on the fight anymore. So Feng would take that opportunity to leave the enemy.In a way, that was Dekel sparing Feng .. Not the way he wanted but hey.
