- The newest digital nomad hotspot is in Zadar, Croatia, where a dedicated village for digital nomads and remote workers has opened.
- The village is called The Valley and is located in Bokir, which is just a short walk away from the center of Zadar. The village opened on the 10th of October and is welcoming nomads to stay for up to a year, with a minimum stay of 2 weeks. Croatia already has a digital nomad visa in place which allows the applicant to stay in the country for up to 12 months.
- The Valley boasts affordable accommodation options, but how affordable is it really?
- The prices fluctuate based on the length of your stay, with those intending to live there for over 7 weeks getting the best deal. A studio apartment for those staying for the longest period of time is €249 per week, working out at around €1000 per month. There are also options for bigger apartments, either to book the entire place or to book a private bedroom and co-live.
- A double bedroom unit ranges from €349 to €479 depending on the length of stay, but renting a private bedroom inside one of these units will only cost between €175 and €240 per week. The cheapest accommodation option is a private room within a 3 bedroom apartment which can cost as little as €130 per week.
- Included in the price are your utilities and access to the wellness facility and gym. All apartments are equipped with a full kitchen, and all bedrooms have a private bathroom.
- If you’re currently touring Europe in a camper van, this could still be an option for you, with a campsite welcoming caravans and camper vans, from €89 per week.
- A coworking office is available to use in The Valley, located at a hotel that is just a couple of minutes walk along the beach. The Valley also has a community manager, a community channel for connecting with other nomads, access to partner discounts, and exclusive events.
- If you’re interested in visiting The Valley, book your slot quickly, as this project is only set to last until 31.03.22.
