Unforeseen Consequences - A strange little town(pt.31)

“WHAT?! What is going on?!”
>You were really high in the sky and naturally start to freak out.
“Oh come on! This isn’t funny!”
>You look at what was holding you and what you see was something, or rather someone that calmed your current state of panic.
>”Do not fear my child, because I can guarantee you that you are completely safe in my hooves!” It was Luna, and while you were happy to see her, this seemed really dangerous, especially considering the altitude that you now were and the speed that she was moving towards where ever she wanted to go to.
“Alright! But where are we going to? The castle is the other way!”
>Luna shakes her head as she looks with determination to the horizon. “We are not going to the castle! I have something else planned for you and me to enjoy together as mother and son!”
“But Celestia said that some important guests were arriving today.”
>Luna keeps her attention to wherever she was taking you. “I will explain everything once we arrive to Ponyville!”
>Ponyville? That means that you were going to Twilight’s town? OH MAN THAT WAS SO FUCKING COOL. You certainly wanted to see more of sexy purple horse.
>It doesn’t take long to arrive to what it seemed as a little town settled at the skirts of Canterlot’s mountains; from up here you could also see a gigantic forest sprawling very close to the town.
>It was bigger than the town itself and even bigger than Canterlot… Was this the Everfree Forest that Cherrywood kept talking about?
>”Behold my sweet child! Before us is the small but eccentric Ponyville!” Luna exclaims with excitement as she starts to descend.
>And yeah, it was a little town. Buildings were way more humble than Canterlot, but way brighter in their colors.
>That was actually something that you started to notice the closer you were to the ground… Just everything, from the buildings to their inhabitants were way brighter, welcoming and humbler than Canterlot.
>When you finally are close enough to the ground, Luna puts you down gently as she lands at your side.
“So, what is going on? Don’t take it the wrong way, I do like the idea of spending time with you, is just that I’m still curious that’s all”
>Luna comes closer to you and gives you a big and warm hug. “You see, yesterday I got so wrapped into my royal duties that I didn’t have any time to share with you, and today Princess Cadence and Shining Armor are arriving so they can meet you.”
>You can see Luna being slightly annoyed at this prospect. “And I know Princess Cadence, she absolutely adores spending her time with foals which means that I wouldn’t be able to be with you, and I cannot allow that!”
>You remember Celestia mentioning that Princess a couple times. And speaking of your other “mom”...
“So, Celestia knows about this?”
>”Pfffft, of course not” Luna replies with a sly grin “I took note of her own book and decided to surprise her, so to speak… Besides, those two will be staying for a couple days so it's not that big of a problem if we make them wait a little longer.”
>You should be more concerned about this; you know that Celestia will get mad for sure. Maybe not because you and Luna spent the day together but you feel that it will be mostly because her ego will get hurt.
>But to be fair, you DID want to spend the day with Luna. She was so kind and loving that you felt bad that you could only see her once yesterday.
“Very well, if you are not worried then I’m not worried!”
>Luna gently strokes your mane and gives you a little kiss in the nose. “I’m happy that you took that attitude my dear Anon.”
>You look around and of just like Canterlot, you could see ponies whispering things about you and Luna, some coming closer so they can take a better look.
>Luna turns around and takes notice of that too, you were expecting her to shun them away, but instead she smiles at the crowd that was starting to form around you
>“Do not fear my child…” She whispers into your ear. “Ponyville is the home of the friendlier and most helpful ponies in Equestria”
>Luna then turns her attention to the crowd and asks them in a kind but loud enough voice so they can hear her. “Can anypony point me in the direction to the famous bakery where the element of laughter works at?”
>But she doesn’t get any answer, just confused looks from the crowd
>”Err… I was told that she was quite popular around her.” Luna asks again, this time with much less confidence in her tone
>But again, she got nothing but shrugs and confused ponies… Damn, you were starting to think if they were from a school for retarded horses that was having a field trip.
>This continues for a while until finally a female voice breaks the awkward silence that was starting to form. ”Ya mean Sugar Cube Corner?”
>An earth pony wearing a Stetson hat steps forward, her coat was orange, mane was yellow and she had a pair of fairly astounding green eyes.
>Luna’s eyes brighten as she flies towards the mare. “Why, yes! If is not too much to ask could you guide us there, fair Applejack?”
>Applejack? Who the fuck would name someone after an alcoholic drink?
>”Howdy Princess!” Applejack makes a bow and after that she nods. “Of course ah can take ya there! It'll be mah pleasure!”
>”Are you sure that we are not imposing ourselves? I’m aware that the element of honesty is also the busiest one” Luna asks with a polite and kind voice
>Element of honesty? Like the elements of harmony that you have heard before? You thought that they would be some sort of devices, but does this means that the elements are actual ponies?
>”Nah” Applejack waves her hoof dismissively “Don’t worry yourself, ahm done with farm for today and I was heading there to see Pinkie so she can give me back mah old recipe book that I lent to her two weeks ago”
>Luna smiles and nods. “Very well, then please lead the way, come on Anon.” Luna motions you to follow her with which you comply.
>The three of you start walking and leave the crowd behind, they bow to Luna before peacefully returning to their everyday business.
“What is this Sugar Cube Corner? My mom mentioned that it's a bakery, but I really don’t know much beyond that.”
>Applejack looks to you and gives you a huge grin. ”It's not only JUST a bakery, it is THE bakery! The Cakes make the best pastries in all of Equestria!”
>”I agree with that statement.” Luna adds with an excited tone. “Princess Twilight sometimes brings different deserts that are baked there, and I have yet to find a single bakery that can compare to those magnificent pastries.”
>Well, even when you weren’t much of a sweets guy, you were now excited to have a taste of that.
>As the three of you start to go deeper into the town, you notice that just like Canterlot ponies passing by were bowing at Luna, but unlike your new home, there was a lack of snobbish assholes walking around.
>Seriously, this little town felt so comfy and peaceful that made you wonder why Luna and Moonlight were talking about it like if it was some kind of demilitarized zone.
>After a few moments of walking in silence, Applejack breaks the silence again. ”So what brings ya here? Ah reckon that it's not very common to see ya around these parts.”
>Luna giggles a little and replies in a polite voice. ”Oh well, I just wanted to show my Anon how Equestria is like outside Canterlot.”
>”Oh, right! Where are mah manners!” Applejack stops and shifts her attention to you “Ahm sorry for not introducing mahself. Mah name's Applejack, nice to meet ya.” She extends her hoof to you and gives you a polite smile.
>You do the same and shake your hoof with Applejack… Man, she had a fucking strong grip.
>You shake your hoof a little from the pain and return the smile.
“Nice to meet you too, I’m Anon.”
>Applejack looks around to see if anyone was standing too close to listen. When she’s sure that the coast is clear, she finally speaks again. ”So, Anon, pardon for asking me this early in the conversation, but ah simply can’t hold mah curiosity…”
>”I presume Princess Twilight already told you?” Luna interrupts her with a cautious tone.
>Applejack nods. “Eeyup, but…. This is simply too wild, even for a guy like Discord.”
>This time, Luna looks around, and even when no one was passing by she answers Applejack with a whisper. “Everything that Princess Twilight told you is the truth.”
>Applejack’s eyes open wide and whispers back “Even the part about Anon being from another world?”
>Luna just nods at her question.
>”Well, shucks!” Applejack stomps the ground in frustration. “Ah owe Pinkie 20 bits! Ah can’t believe how that mare always manages to win our bets!”
>Luna and you look at each other in confusion; you certainly weren’t expecting that reaction
>Applejack sighs and turns her attention to you. “Well Anon, maybe yer moms already told ya this but, welcome to Equestria! It's the nicest place to live… For the most part”
“You mean that accident in the Cloudsdale factory or whatever?”
>Luna gasps in shock. “So Moonlight was right! There was somepony snooping around my study yesterday!”
>Wait, what? That’s not possible.
“How could she know that? I made sure to be cautious enough not be heard.”
>Immediately after saying those words you slap your face realizing that you just fucked it up.
>”So you admit it! Anon, snooping around is something that only ruffians do, it is rude and an invasion of other ponies privacy!”
“I didn’t mean too! I was passing by when you started talking about that! And seriously, how could Moonlight have heard me!”
>Luna had a stern look in her face, she was not having any of your bullshit. ”Bat ponies can hear much better than other races, and I forgot to say, if you were sneaky just so I wouldn’t give you a piece of my mind about what happened yesterday then you are wrong, Mister!”
“But Celestia already did that!”
>”Oh.” She stops putting her angry face when she realizes that “That’s right…. I forgot that my sister told me that she already took care of that.”
>Oh man, you loved this blue horse like family, you really did… But come on, she had a worse memory than a drunken hobo.
>You can hear Applejack chuckling at this whole situation. This too catches Luna’s attention “Pardon me, Princess.” Applejack replies while still chuckling deeply “But ah just couldn’t help it, as for Anon’s question. Yes, sometimes crazy things happen in our little town, but they're nothing that we can’t handle”
>She then adopt s a more serious look in her face as she changes subjects ”Ah also wanted to say to the Princess that ahm sorry about Rainbow Dash's behavior, she's having problems accepting that her pet turtle needs to sleep for the whole winter… And ah won’t deny that delaying winter a couple weeks has surely been helpful for mah farm, but ah can’t simply condone what mah friend did...”
>You know, now you realize why Luna keeps calling her the element of honesty, most people would’ve lied if their friends basically fucked up everything and arguably caused eco-terrorism, but not this mare… And that was a commendable trait.
>Luna nods and gives her a kind smile. “You do not need to apologize, fair Applejack, but the fact you did speak wonders of the element of honesty. As for your friend, I’m sure that Princess Twilight, you, and the rest of the elements will take care of her”
>”Thanks Princess” Applejck blushes a little as she rubs her right leg with her hoof “And yer right, we'll make sure that Dash gets better…But hoo-wee! We sure have been standing here for a while, why don’t we head on to Sugar Cube Corner?”
>You liked this horse attitude; she was humble and seemed to be really down to earth. So far she had nothing that told you to stay away from her. Quite the contrary, you were now eager to learn more about her.
>The three of you resume your trip, after a while you arrive to a building that looks like it was designed by a retarded three year old.
>Applejack walks past you and stands in front of the ugly building. She clears her throat and finally speaks with excitement. ”Well your highness, here it is! The Sugar Cube Corner!”
>Bullshit… This is the place where you were going to? And you were getting excited of what kind of good pastries they would serve here… Now you were scared about the mad shit that this place could possibly hold.
>Before Applejack can open the door to the horrible building, a pink horse opens it first. “Hi Applejack! Did you come for your recipe book?”
>Applejack flinches a little, but regains her composure immediately. “Hi Pinkie! Yes, ah came  exactly for that, but I also brought some guests.”
>Pinkie tilts her head in slight confusion. ”Guests? Who did you bri-“ The pink horse gasps when she notices both you and Luna “You brought Princess Luna!? AND HER NEW ADORABLE SON?!”
>Applejack raises an eyebrow “Why yes, ah did… But how did you know that he-“
>Pinkie immediately dashes towards you, disregarding her friend’s question
>The pink horse stops her mad dash right in front of you and grabs you with her hooves ”Hi! I’m Pinkie Pie! And who are you? Well I already know that you're Princess Luna and Princess Celestia’s son!” She giggles to herself “I mean, what's your name? Are you new to Ponyville? I’m sure you are because I've never seen you around here, and I know everypony in Ponyville and I mean EVERYPONY!" She shakes the crap out of you. Holy shit, is this horse on drugs? "Do you like parties? Tell me what your favorite thing is and-“
>Before she can asks more questions Luna interrupts the interrogation and takes you away from her using her magic. She has to pull you away before Pinkie actually lets go. ”I still remember the element of laughter, Pinkie Pie… A pleasure to meet you again.”
>Holy fuck what was all that about? Thank god that Luna saved you from this crazy bitch, because otherwise you wouldn’t have been able to take much more… And that voice, jesus Christ it was so high pitched that it almost gave you a headache.
>Pinkie is not fazed by this as she offers Luna one of the biggest and most cheerful smiles you’ve ever seen ”Oh, Hi Princess Luna! How are you?”
>”I’m fine, as long as you don’t rile up the town foals against me again.” Luna replies with obvious annoyance in her tone.
>”Oh! Don’t worry about that!” Pinkie waves her hoof dismissively “Pssh... It's not nightmare night yet!”
>Luna rolls her eyes and replies with sarcasm. “What a relief...”
“Rile up against you? What?”
>That was something that actually disturbed you a little considering Luna's personality.
>”Oh, it was something super hilarious; you know how Nightmare Night is made after Nightmare Moon?”
“No”
>”What?!” The pink mare gasps in shock “But everypony knows about Nightmare Night! It's like, one of the awesomest traditions in Equestria!”
>”Eh, Pinkie.” Applejack walks towards the pink horse and whispers into her ear “He’s not from Equestria, remember? You know, the whole thing that Twilight told us?”
>Pinkie’s mouth adopts the shape of a big O. ”OOOOOH! That’s right!” Then she giggles once again with that annoying snort. “I guess that I forgot!”
>You roll your eyes, maybe your initial hypothesis was right, and this town had a school for retarded horses which was having a field trip, and this mare was part of that school.
“Whatever… my name is Anon, nice to meet you Miss Pie”
>”Anooon! Anon, Anon, Anon! That is a weird name you know?” Once again the pink mare giggles to herself.
>Luna takes offence in this. “How dare you to say such-“
>As much as you’d like to see Luna tell the pink horse to fuck off, you really wanted to try those damn sweets since your hunger was increasing. You interrupt your “mother” and reply to Pinkie Pie with a stoic voice
“Not really the first time that someone has made that remark, so is this your bakery?”
>And really, you can’t disagree that your name was fucking weird, but at least it was better than being named after what color you were.
>”Yes! Well not really…” Pinkie bounces over to the sugar cube entrance. How is she bouncing that high? It's impossible to leap vertically like that with hooves. And the sound she made each time she jumped...
>“This is owned by Mr. and Misses Cake, I just help them with whatever they need! And I also live here!”
>Or having Cake as your fucking surname, what the fuck was wrong with ponies’ names? They were almost as bad as their retarded glyph system.
“I see, so… Can we come in?”
>”Of course you can, in fact.” Pinkie dashes towards you in a blur, and grabs you again. “Let’s go right now!”
>Maybe your initial hypothesis was partially wrong; maybe she was a retard AND was on hard drugs too… You wonder if she also had some bourbon that you could steal from her.
>But as she starts running back towards the door, something stops Pinkie from entering the sugar cube corner… Oh man, not him again...
