  2. High Priest Yori Petals fluttered lightly through the air is if snow blanketing the ground in soft hues of violet and pink the rays of the twin moons lancing through the tops of the trees above the air had been chilled and a cool gale whistled occasionally kicking up a flurry of color before settling back down once more. A faint shimmer of gold could be seen falling slowly from the night sky like a falling star, yet its decent was more stead. - Growing, until a figure in resplendent white could be seen. Long flowing white robes covered his body, the sleeves draping down past his hands ending nearer his knees was trimmed in purple threads and held together by a braided cord of purple. Beneath he wore a black sleev

Long white strands of hair framed his face in flowing strands which tumble across his shoulders and back like subtle waves of snowcapped peaks, held neatly by golden clips which twinkled faintly in their own lightly. Though most notable would be the thin translucent cloth which covered his face. Painted upon the fabric were four eyes as if to represent that polycoria gaze beneath... At his side dangled a sword which was rectangular in shape and flat upon all sides save for the two points and runes were etched in scroll work along the flat of the blade. Its hilt was covered in cloth and a ring on the pommel tied about his waist. Black tendrils of smoke slowly coiled around

The staff seemed to float on its own as if tugged by invisible strings, standing a few inches taller than the male carrying it roughly six foot in height. Roughly the diameter of the golden halo which seemed to surround him... His clothing flowed outward slowly not seeming to match the wind as if he were submerged underwater himself rather than exposed to the elements when he finally touched down against the ground at the base of the castle. Cloth covered feet, hovering just centimeters over the ground.
  7. Xins Sera Incapable of feeling the softness of the sakura's nor the winds only the cold numbness of silence from her masters chambers. Awaiting her resting master's orders the Seraphim stood atop the roof listening to all the wind had to tell her. Frosted hues closed slightly as they took in all that was before her the castle grounds the courtyards and all that lay beyond, this her masters lands and home. How like a dream for some and a nightmare to the unwary. The last time they had found one another he had fallen prey and she was unable to save him, after a good deal of searching and much bloodshed she reveled in normally she was out of her mind with grief for him and just managed to find his body in that abyssal plain. The small form in her arms was almost lifeless clinging somehow to something in this world that kept him anchored her

Having laid him to rest in his bed she took to the roof her flames engulfing the castle there would be no place for shadows no room for darkness to creep. though the body remained still the hurricane that swirled inside her mind for failing him was ever just below the surface. Jaw set in ivory a single tear welling fat and wide upon the lower lid but never left as if she willed it to remain. The flames swirled around the courtyards to any who may approach it might seem a horrible fire had broken out yet there was no heat nothing perished all was pristine and untouched, merely cleansed and secure. Why did he not wake? Was his mind still in that hellish place between realms? Was it more than his mind still lost? Shutting out such thoughts she could feel a hollowness take hold of her master the near desperate calls

Hues narrowing the tendrils brought a venom to the back of her throat as a low growl issued forth the only sound she would give the flames redoubling at her command. *Bochhan please answer me!* pleading now with him to awaken to give her orders, was this one of the ones who worked with the loathed ORDER? Was he what he seemed nothing more than a powerful holy man? Pale lips parted to bare teeth as the uppermost set of wings began to open slowly spreading wide best not play all the cards from the start. Had she been on the ground she would tower over him by a foot but from up here even more so. His weapons drew her more then the man himself.
  12. Xin had remained asleep since she had brought him back from the plains - though it was clear that he had still been alive breathing just barely as his chest rose and fell faintly the only signs of movement even his body seemed to have thinned some from lack of sustenance. How long had it been since she had brought him there? It seemed almost as if time stood still however as if he were somehow cut-off from whatever regular flow of time.. hours, days, years? Still it seemed like today something was different. Something had come which the darkness responded strongly too causing Xin to wriggle beneath the covers he could hear a distant voice though did not yet respond.
  13. Deleted by Xin; only visible to room staff.
  14. High Priest Yori the castle almost looked like it had been engulfed in flame though even from this distance the male should have felt heat rising from the fire or smoke as it consumed the walls of the castle though none of that happened almost as if the purpose of the flames had simply been to illuminate the castle grounds. There was an almost weightlessness> about the male as he stood there hands clasped lightly in front of him were concealed by the sleeves of his robes. While those longs white tendrils slowly splayed outward. Aureate, hues lifted towards the girl who now towered over him, fangs bared. That burning gaze almost seeming to burn through her as if able to pierce her very core. Though his gaze moved from her to something beyond the castle walls a sleeping boy as if Yori were somehow able to see through the walls.
  15.
  16. His demeanor was calm and the faint light around him shimmered faintly allowing those tendrils of smoke to slowly expand filling the grounds with the faint floral scent. "Seraph.." he spoke softly though his voice seemed somehow clear as if it were able to cut above the wind and fill the entire glen, it carried with it a certain warmth that was booth soothing and tingly. He pressed his hands together offering the other a deep bow -- "I did not expect to meet one such as yourself here-but that light is unmistakable." he spoke quietly, still noting the potential weapons which were aimed at me. Though he lifted his gaze towards once more, that inferno dampened slightly by the thin fabric that covered his face. "-Is it to contain the darkness within?" he inclined his head curiously. "If I may: I believe I could be of assistance.."
  17. Xins Sera Above the skies grew darker and the moons were obscured from sight all together the swirling mass of dark thunderheads began to converge on the Castel and the eye open over the garden outside her master's room. The flames undulated in hues purples, blues and greens casting hellish images on the area around them. The tug of the silken threads she used to tether herself to his bedding told her he had moved ghost lights flickered to life in the masters sleeping area the soft blue flames surrounded his bed as if coaxing him back. the frosted hues widened slightly was he returning to her? Was it this one's appearance that caused it? gritted as they were her voice was strained from misuse *Bocchan Bocchan Bocchan come back to me I

  19. can't do this alone.* Did she slay him or let him alone? She knew what she wanted to do wingtips began to harden the silver edges glinting like small points of light in the astral plane hardly there yet so clear at the same time. His sanctity was growing? He was powerful yet how powerful? What did he want? Feeling his gaze drift to the exact spot where Xin lay sleeping her Lord was filled with darkness if he was here to purge it.. take it... what would become of Bochhan? An odd mix of fear for him and anger for being helpless to do anything herself filled her to the brim. He called her by name he knew what she was? No point hiding then all six wings opened flexing for the first time since Xin had come home. She'd never say to

  21. keep him from fearing the dark or letting it gather to steal him away again. "To keep the outside from gathering" her voice no longer melodic but strained and as if in strange hissing and coughing semblances she nearly choked on the words. Even she had lost track of time how long had she been standing guard? The tiles beneath her bare feet began to crack slightly as her own sanctity grew the gravity of it weighing her down as she pushed off from her perch finally and landed with a solid crunch of gravel underfoot before the male. "How" The faint scent of blood and flowers wafting from Sera's presence. She was still covered in the pitch and blood of the other place she had fought to bring him back from.
  22. Xin Xin settled back down against the sheets though he could feel the darkness stirring deep within his core clawing, scraping, as if attempting to pry itself free. Shadows escaped from his eye bleeding slowly across his skin though they were burned away by the light dissipating into the air like ash as they vanished only for another stream attempting to replace it, *Se-ra?* he could hear her again a bit more clearly this time face scrunching up slightly as he pushed himself towards the side attempting to roll over though ended up on his back again. Then, he felt it a subtle warmth which crept along his skin as if sitting on a warm summer day - and the scent of spring which had come to chase the winter chill away. Ngnh..? he focused onto darkness however attempting to keep it from slipping out even if it could not last long on the outside.
  23. High Priest Yori The Priest remained silent a moment observing the changes in the sky which seemed to match the mood of the one standing in-front of him. Chin tipped slightly towards the sky so that the cloth mask pressed against his face. The twin moons disappeared beneath the clouds and the darker it become the more apparent the patina of his aurora it formed a halo of gold around the male which appeared almost two-dimensional from every angle. And his face was illuminated by the subtle glow, beneath the mask one would be able to see youth scarcely twenty years of age. Quadra-pupils settled upon the girl once more noting the angle of the wings poised like daggers to strike him down. A smile stretched across his lips then - though it lacked any

  25. mockery, only warmth. Those golden orbs flickering a moment as she revealed her other set of wings. If she had told him to keep from fearing the dark then he would have told her the dark was nothing to fear. It was the dark that should fear the light. Instead he gave a small nod. Those tendrils floating around his head slowly as if he had been submerged in water. To Keep the outside from gathering. "I believe there's more effective ways if you wish to ward off others." He replied, though knowing that was not exactly her intent. He studied her a moment and did not seemed affected by her own sanctity - he was weightless as if a strong breeze might have simply pushed him away, yet anchored to the spot even as the gravel crunched benea

He told her in that same soothing breath she would be able to feel the warmth of it spreading through her as if attempting to reassure her or calm her mind. How. "I need to look at them more closely." Evidently he was not able to see the other only know that they were there. "but, I could seal it away again or take it into myself.." the second option was not one that he really wanted; he was not sure it was something he could handle. Light crackled from his lips once more taking on the shape of two butterflies which flitted around Sera, leaving trails of light streaming through the air as if ribbons. "I am humbled to off guidance."
  28. Offer guidance**
  29. Xins Sera There, the link he called to her! The flames weren't enough to keep the seal dormant nor closed she knew this. The bloom that had been feeding on the seal had been destroyed when he was taken, everyone that was used in an attempt to replace it dissolved and the ones she attempted to grow here were all withering and dying for some reason. She wouldn't let him sink further to suffer more than he already did. She was not of this dimension nor realm she knew this the sanctified and the powers they held were on another level than her more often than not but this one was strange feeling to her she didn't like it nor trust it. She was by nature distrustful. But if this was the truth ... or lies at this point she didn't care, either way, she needed her master back. Least the storm inside break the levy of her will to obey the promise she made him. The long unchecked strands of snow fallen silk that once matched her masters now turned an ashy pallor were in disarray about her

Digits long and slender yet firm enough to crush bone like matches came to rest on this would be saviours shoulders she let herself be felt and heard as she put her lips to his ear as wings closed around them, even if she hadn't spoken aloud her words rang clearly in the male's mind. Closer look so be it. "Your fate is now bound to his" No threat she didn't threaten others she made promises she gave her word and she always kept it. If something ill befell Xin she would see it two-fold visited upon this holy man. Porting them instantly before the words had passed her lips into the room she was suddenly no longer near the male who offered help. Instead, she was found at the small figures side, kneeling in the bedding that had slipped free in his attempt to right himself, holdi

  33. ng him close to her as if a mother attempting to calm her child. *Someone comes to help bocchan* cutting her frosted eyes that held a deeper chill than normal at the male yet never looking away from the boy somehow. "Take what you need to use me if you will but seal it." a big offer to be another battery, but if he took it then Xin would be free normally this thought would be cause for celebration yet what would become of him? Could this one be trusted to not unleash what he took? Best to seal it away and await orders from Xin. Outside the winds picked up and the leaves and petals alike swirled and danced then suddenly stopped as the song began. Humming softly as her sanctity flowed freely but it was not heavy rather it was as a cloud filling the room a comfort a moment frozen in time as if she could replay that day they jumped across colossal lily pads into the tree of life beneath the glen. He was so seemingly carefree then how could she give him this again?
  34. Xin Once inside the room she would find the evidence of him stirring with the blankets slightly askew from his thin frame. Platinum locks splayed out across the bedding framed his face as he continued to slumber somewhat, he could almost feel her mistrust even in his current state as she took him within her arms he probably felt like nothing. Fragile perhaps as he rocked his head back letting out a small groan. When he felt sera moving him and spoke. *someone had come?* but who would have come for him, he wondered who would have come for him anyways. He at least seemed more coherent as he felt the presence of the other - and that burning gaze. The darkness within him almost shivered as if that gaze alone was enough to chase it away.
  35. High Priest Yori Lips pursed slightly he did not really blame her for her mistrust though still.. he watched as she approached noting the color of her hair which was disheveled as well as the blood which had stained her clothes and skin. Those eyes seeming to pierce her somehow like twin stars burning intensely - the fabric made them less intense serving for the benefit of those he looked upon rather than any specific purpose. He felt her hand coming to rest against his shoulder though the robes... as she passed through the light she would be able to feel it more distinctly a radiating warmth. She would feel that the male was quite thin as well beneath those layers of fabric. Your fate is now bound to his. it was a promise- his head bobbed forward in acknowledgement feeling her lips near his ear. Those tendrils of white splaying out slightly floating around his head. No sooner had those wings encircled them would he find himself

  37. transported into a room of sorts and the one that he had seen before now clearly visible. Those eyes settled upon the child within her arms for a moment, before looking towards the Seraph once more - though he did not question the nature of their relationship she looked like she might have been his mother, though that same light... "Seal it away then." He agreed, it seemed their fates would be connected in more ways than one, the butterflies continued to flit about the room leaving long trails of golden light which were starting to resembled webbing somewhat and one of the projections landed right on Xin's nose it's wings unfurling before turning into a hazy mist. Yori approached, looking hovering just above the wooden floor before taking a small breath. The light around him slowly began to quiver as if he were drawing it in. He reached out, lightly taking Xin's own hand within his before pushing the li

Even the staff clattered towards the ground no longer bound by his influence. Light leaked from his eyes and mouth before slowly crawling along Xin's arms to envelope his entire form, outlining like the penumbra of a shadow. Sera would feel Xin start to lift slightly within her grasp and Xin would be able to feel the warmth slowly spreading throughout his body. Like a gentle tide lapping against the shore covering more and more of him until it spread through every inch, soothing, and encouraging the bodies natural recovery. It would have pushed against the darkness focusing it where the priest willed as it attempted to flee the light. Memories - threads reached for them as well like broken mirror slowly fitting the pieces back together, one by one.
  40. Xins Sera As massive and looming as she was in form she seemed diminished when with the boy. The same digits that had taken hold of robes moments ago combed through the silken strands while the other caressed his arm. Cradled in the crook of one arm he felt even smaller somehow. All she wanted was for him to smile to wake and smile. Possibly her station as a sentinal had taken a toll she was not ready to pay? Much of the once bright and glorious glen was dark and shrouded in shadows, having only the desire to see the castle fortified and safeguarded she let the darkness of her own self take over the glen. Something that had nearly caused the loss of a very beautiful and bountiful Valley long ago. That specter of the former death bringer now laid helpless and wide open wanting only to give what she could for Xin's sake. Simply holding onto him for as

  42. long as was allowed. The song a slow march of the time she had shared with him her Lord Strife, but was by no means ready to end. Feeling the way the core of the darkness shivered at the presence of the other should have filled her with hope but nothing of the kind could reside within her, no without proof of it visible upon said deed being compleated least he fall to ruin there was nothing to grasp for. Refusing to let ideals cloud her judgement or dull her senses she had not gone through what she did to get him back to let him go now. No, this time she would hold on and follow him if he fell once more to that darkness let them go together. If it wanted him it would have to take her too. An eerie stillness took hold of the Glen outside even the water seemed to have stopped moving in the rivers and lake. One by one the wings began to fold a

Unsure what this other being was or if she would even be able to kill it but the seven hells would see her try. That nagging part of her, that once belonged to Katrina Ru and the daughter and son she no longer knew the location of, tried to call for some measure of peace and understanding even gratitude. But it was silenced and swept to the furthest reaches of the physic. No distractions. *Bocchan* her mind calling out with the link but her voice remained steady and vigilant. As the light began to change her flames took on a golden hue that engulfed her wings. The other took up a hand nothing more yet even this much she was near begrudgingly giving up. His scent was overpowering i

  46. n the room had she been so stifling in her own? The more she witnessed the more she parallelled herself to this one and found herself displeased. She felt it through the warmth and while it had an almost unpleasant heat to it for her personally, loke stepping in hot sand after being in the cool water but all over, it made the color return slightly to Xin he seemed almost to relax and find peace as the darkness was being trapped and cornered pushed where the other willed it to go. What was this other being? Never mind who names mattered little to her but they held power she was well aware. *I'm here Bocchan, I'm here* As the other found the floor and his staff clattered a grimace formed upon the seraphs features for the lithe little form was slightly lifting. The clouds outside had come to a stop unmoving as if waiting with bated breath.
  47. Xin both eyes fluttered open sharply, white light streamed from his eyes and mouth it was almost painful to look at as he felt himself, weightless as if he were drifting upon a cloud anchored only by a thin tether that was the grip of the priest - and Sera who had still been holding onto him thin threads would have even connected them, perhaps highlighting the connection and the petals just under his neck began to glow brightly, the sigil that she had given him. Darkness and light clashed like yin and yang, two forces that were somehow opposite but equal and they could be seen mingling together in that glow which surrounded the boy like two flames, wisps of which trailing upwards towards the ceiling in a flurry of light though there was no heat produced from it.. Sera would have been able to feel the warmth more intently through their connection even and a glimpse of the sight. The man that stood before her like a golden beacon - finally his right eye shut, the markings glowing a bright crimson a moment before settling as his left eye returned to that normal hue "Sera?" he spoke quietly, feeling the warmth slowly receding from him before looking towards the iridescent figure to his right.
  48. High Priest Yori The light spread throughout the boy forcing the darkness deep down like a bottomless well so deep that the light could not reach. The Sight might have been overwhelming as they would both find. Yori looked like a glowing beacon of gold with tiny specks slowly flowing through him as if veins, they fluttered throughout the room like fireflies forming small threads which seemed to have connected each of them while all around them, looked like the night sky itself. They were surrounded by countless stars each a distant flame which represented a soul of the living, each critter within the Glen those swimming beneath the surface of the lake - new stars were born while others shimmered and faded, they would be able to see them beyond the castle walls and even beyond the glen itself as if they

  50. were unbound to any particular realm, and they would be able to feel the priest's sadness for those he was unable to save... each life.. like the flame of a candle easily snuffed by a subtle breeze or left alone possessed the power to consume and devour everything around it. However, that only lasted briefly for as long as it took for the light to seal the darkness away and for the child to regain consciousness. By the time it was all said and done the Priest had been panting still holding onto the boy's hand as the light slowly began to recede-the soul was a heavy thing indeed and Xin was gently lowered into her lap once more. Finally, Yori released his hand before stepping back slowly allowing them a moment together. Weightlessness returning to his own form as the light drew it itself within him.
  51. Xins Sera Overflowing with emotions suddenly ones she herself had never possessed but the others did at the sight of the nearly blinding light pouring from him. The spectacle she was seeing feeling like a journey through yet another void into the birth of life rather than its end, but what lingered in her more then the marvels of the lives was the sadness. What was happening was this supposed to happen?! She could feel the gift then and there if ever she had one her breath was taken from her the link allowing her to 'see' what was happening to feel it so keenly. As the tears like gems rare and scarcely seen began to cascade down her cheeks en mass. the heart of the other was breaking all over again but Sera remained stunned till she felt Xin lower fully into her embrace again. When the connection was made and the seal was in place and Xin once more was himself and her name was spoken like a spell being broken the

  53. moons shone brightly the clouds clearing away a warm summers breeze swept the glen and the animals came out from hiding. As if with but his voice he woke the world that she had put to sleep for him. All ghastly pallor once fading and warmth more in keeping to match her masters as did the gleam in her eyes returned slowly. The flames died down upon her wings the blue ghost flames continued to dance and keep shadows from touching anything but the one across them. "Bocchan... " her voice catching, so much was wanting to be said but nothing came out shaking her head and smiling at him instead. Grabbing his robe from the foot of the bed and helping him to sit as it was draped over his shoulders. One arm behind his back to steady him unsure how strong he was and would be for a while. The other free hand made idle attempt to smooth the untamable locks and shaking her head to see it was as always in vain.
  54. Only after she had sufficiently fussed him and seen he was indeed sealed and safe did she take her eyes off her little lord. With one wing she lifted Xin from the bed, smiling at him "Bocchan" looking at the floor the staff lay untouched looking it over then with thoughts to return it to him she waited for her master's first words as she looked back to him. As if waiting for permission, and unwilling to let go of him just yet. That feeling of sadness still looming inside her, why did that linger when nothing else had?
  55. Xin the visions were almost overwhelming as the world seemed to spin around them it was like he had been whisked away on a journey through the cosmos and everything happened all at once he had been floating filled with a soothing warmth that eased any aches in his body he could piece together his own memories as they were pulled back into place and he was finally settled back down against Sera there was an almost calmness about him now, one which he had not felt in a long time from the seal as if whatever beneath it had well and truly fallen asleep. That mercurial orb peered up at Sera as he felt the light slowly leaving him and weight returning to his form not that he weighed very much to begin with. He smiled up at Sera, hugging lightly thin arms before she had helped him sit up he could feel he
  56.
  57. r lightly smoothing a few of those strands of hair which seemed to have a mind of their own. "Who's he?" he asked glancing towards the other curiously; he felt that the other had helped him though he was not entirely sure how it was different from the seal that Gama had placed on him as well he did not feel weak rather as he should be.. though he might have lost some mass during his slumber. He could feel the glow of the from the gift though it slowly began to fade as well. He slowly righted himself as she wrapped the robes around him glancing back towards Sera. "Why are you sad?" he questioned, before shifting his gaze back towards the individual. "Uhm.. I guess we should thank you, would you like something to eat?" he asked while looking over the other, noting their somewhat anemic appearance.
  58. "Sera, make sure that our friend here has a some food and a room if he wants it. Uh.. I'm kind of hungry too." He moved a hand towards his own stomach.
  59. High Priest Yori Yori watched them for a moment noting the color return towards the child as well as the Seraph the change was like night and day as well as the brewing storm outside which seemed to dissipate once the boy had awoken though he closed his eyes for now releasing a small breath. Golden light crackling from his lips not wanting to interrupt the moment the other two were sharing for now he remained silent the small of incense filled the room allowed to burn freely from the cage in the staff no longer bound by the priests own influence at least for the moment. He folded his hands in front of him still hovering taking in long slow breaths as he listened to the others when the boy, Xin, finally turned his attention towards him. "My name is Yori, High priest of Vraenea." He intoned softly though his voice was soft it was clear and unmistakable. Though he announced himself as if he had spoken that line many times already. "I'm pleased that you're well." He smiled a little though kept his eyes closed.-"I would welcome something to eat if it would not be so much trouble." He replied to the offer.
  60. Xins Sera How best to answer that? As her head lowered she felt the wetness on the fabric of the shirt touching them confused where they came from. When asked who the other was the truth was she didnt know, he appeared and she let him in... she couldnt say that even if it was true. "Apologies Bocchan but its Unknown only that he appeared.... your awake and well its all that matters. Yes?" Helping Xin however he might need it sleeping as long as he had he must be parched "A drink?" when she reached for a glass of water and the pitcher to pour him some and he asked why she was sad she dropped the glass though the wings kept it from hitting the wooden flooring and shattering. Unsettled by this turn of events that lead her to emotions she preferred to leave out of her existence, lifting the glass to fill it once more and hand it to him when it was mentioned they shou

  62. ld thank the stranger Sera stood and bowed to him hearing that he might be hungry and require a room she bowed again this time to Xin. The way he held his belly made her grimace again but it was wiped away quickly "Yes Bocchan, something simple for now. Miso and Jasmine?" Not yet willing to leave this Yori with Xin while she prepared anything "Bocchan would you care for some fresh air?" She lifted him in the crook of her arm as she had countless times after securing his robe seeing eh staff still on the floor and Yori's eyes closed the strange eyes she found oddly beautiful. Shaking her head slightly as if to get it out. "If you will follow us I will air out a room for you and see to a meal. You can dine on the veranda." The small eating area where Xin sometimes took his meals, nothing more than a low table and mat to sit on, was still set and waiting
  63.
  64. she would need to fetch another setting. Once outside and Xin situated the sounds of the glen filled the night air looking up Sera seemed lost a moment and the stars became visible and the clouds all dissipated. Once Yori's spot was ready Sera provided two towels and a basin for them each to wash up in as she herself alone would reenter the room and picked up the staff looking it over it smelled... familiar. Once she rejoined them on the veranda she knelt down and offered it to him as one might a sword with reverence "Gratitude for your services of my master's recovery." Once it was taken she went about making the meal it would take some time as there had not been anything made in months and the food stores needed filling yet another way she had neglected her duties. Happily, ingredients were always dried and on hand, the tea was ready before the soup.
  65. Xin glanced up at her he could feel the feeling through the shared connection though did not really know why she had felt it or.. what all those flames had really meant. Though his lips stretched into a small smile, "Well, I don't really mind I would let anyone in who wanted to, and he's a priest so he can't be too bad." Xin grinned up at the other a moment until they had introduced themselves that single mercurial orb flashing a moment before looking away. "A drink yes.." he noticed that she had dropped it merely tipping his head towards the side once she had caught it though he took hold of the glass as she passed it to him drinking from it. He did not really realize how thirsty he had been as he drank it rather greedily, choking and coughing a little bit and hitting his chest with his opposite hand while his eyes watered sl

  67. ightly. "Guess *hack* I should slow down. *hack*" he set the cup down once he had enough to drink before returning his gaze towards the other. "Do.. you always see like that? That would get tiring after a while." He remarked, recalling all the flames it was almost like he could see the flow of energies through the room and through other. He felt Sera lifting him as she suggested eating out on the veranda. "Yes.. some Miso would be fine! I could probably eat a whole mountain of cake though." Boastful, though it probably would not agree too much with his stomach at the moment. He settled down onto his spot next to the kotatsu sitting upon his knees once she had set him down. "Some lychee too." he told her before shifting his attention back towards the other from across the table, waiting for her to return with the meal.
  68. "Well I'm awake now.. you forgot to introduce us, Sera." he pointed out.
  69. High Priest Yori Yori remained silent allowing the two of them to converse for a moment his eyes were closed though it was almost as if he could still see them as if head had been turned int heir general direction just taking a moment to recover himself as well a smile stretched across his lips at the exchange between the two of them. "I thank you for the kind words, though you shouldn't judge those by appearance alone." He cautioned the other though there were silent for a while as the other sipped on the water before starting to choke from drinking it too quickly. Unfortunately the priest did not have any words of wisdom to offer in that moment... "Yes it is but a gift and the results of the light that I bear, it can be heavy at times, but I am grateful none the less." He replied as the other questioned his sight. He knew that it made others uncomfortable if he loo

He would have followed the other as they lead them out towards the veranda noting the floating blue flame which illuminated the path. Feet scarcely touching the wooden floor before kneeling in front of the table on the padded seat. He would have rinsed off his own face before washing his hands turning his attention back towards sera once she offered him the staff, the soft floral scent wafting through the metallic cage. He took hold of the end of the staff though did not entirely take it from her. "It is a pleasure to be of use to one such as yourself, but, I believe I you could benefit from some guidance as well." He pointed out perhaps reading the confusion on her face. He took the staff though released it a moment after and it stood on its own at his side.
  72. Xins Sera Taking note but not drawing attention to his tilt of the head. Patting his back as he coughed the look softening, refilling his glass till he had his fill. She heard the question but paid it no mind unless it was something Xin wanted more information on she would leave it be. It mattered little how others saw things unless it was vital to how such a sight could be used against her master. She was rather a hopeless one, too long without him made her cold and this Yori made her feel things she wasn't aware she was capable of. Blaming the weaker Gama side of her heart for such things focusing on the deeds needing to be done. As she sat on her knees to pour them each a drink she heard Xin point out her lack of manners. "Apologies Bocchan" offering a slight bow of h

My Lord, Yori the High Preist is from lands weve have yet to journey to personally..." Moving silently across the veranda with the tray of water, tea, and the requested Lychee along with the cups and plates removing the basins and the towels before offering refreshments and thin strips of roasted seaweed and dried fruits. "Excuse me the soup should not be left unattended least it scorches, I'd not keep you waiting. Will there be anything more Bocchan?" She had not thought about cleaning herself up still perplexed by the damp spots on her top if dismissed (if not she would sit there) Pondering this as

  76. she moved to the kitchen the flames following her the colors changing as the northern lights were oft to do perhaps it was his sanctity it had been true ages since she was last near anyone who wielded it beyond herself... she was gone longer then expected lost in thought, reaching for the ladle in the soup only to have it slide in and adding to her agitation she reached in to fish it out with her hand fingers moving mushroom caps aside to find the metal handle resting at the bottom. Good thing her hands were clean. Why had she made so much? The scent, it was wisteria. Frozen in place how long ago had that been a scent of sanctity? Hand still in the soup as she tried to remember whos scent that was, on a world that no longer existed in a time that ceased to be.
  77. Xin "Th-thanks." Stammered out as she patted him on the back to help with the coughing once the cough finally died down he took some more water, though did not want to fill up entirely on water since he still had tea and soup to look forward to. Finally, he settled upon his knees across the table from Yori looking up at the taller individual. The priest had an almost ethereal glow about him as if he did not quite belong to this world.. and he was not sure a high priest should have been capable of the powers that he displayed. It took several of the monks just to restrain the darkness within him as well as the use of the mask to keep from losing control. . A smile spread across his lips however as Sera apologized usually she would have introduced them by now. "Something bothering you?" he as
  78.
  79. ked clearly something had ben on her mind though he looked back across the table once Sera had introduced him. And, she introduced the other. "Thank you for helping me wake up." He smiled a little bit towards the other though tried not to stare too much. "Is their nothing you want in return? I don't think food and a place to stay for the night really matches.." he listened to the other as they explained their vision almost feeling sorry for the other though he assumed that they would grow used to it after a while. He would have washed off his own hands as well before allowing Sera to remove the basin and return with the tray of tea helping himself to one of the fleshy fruits first. "no, that's fine thank you Sera." He turned his attention back to Yori. "Are you sure your human, how, did you do that?"
  80. High Priest Yori moved his hands to rest upon his lap as he listened to the others keeping his gaze lowered towards the ground or otherwise closed he was feeling tired, though not from the use of his own spiritual presence it was more physical in nature. He bowed his head slightly towards the Lord perhaps showing more deference to a lord than he might have considering a Seraph had elevated him to master. "It's a pleasure to meet you lord Strife." He stated noting how suitable that name might have been, before she had mentioned his own home, he had been a long way from home. He could feel her presence moving around him as she dropped off the tray though rather than reaching for any nourishments. A few of the berries began to float into the air as if pinched between invisible fingers before popping into his mouth he chewed slowly before swallowing, how long had it been since he had a proper meal as for his offer.. 82. nce more, she did not really seem the type to ask for help but perhaps he could... "Excuse me but.. you seem troubled everyone needs guidance from time to time, even myself, all you need to do is but ask." As he spoke the words those butterflies once more materialized flitting about the room as if to illuminate the halls for her. Though she had her own light it seemed. As for Xin, well the child was in no position to ask so he had not choice but to help. He let out a soft laugh at the boy's questions. "Yes.. I'm sure. I was born in the slums of my city, before I was taken in by the church. I guess I'm on what you would call a pilgrimage." He replied... his next question however, "As to the darkness - it's not something that you should fear least it control you. Do you fear it because you fear hurting others?" he questioned. That had been the reason for all the lights? It was almost as if he could see right through to the very heart of it.
  83. Xins Sera "Gome" was all the reply he got for asking if there was anything bothering her. Attentive to the answer Yori would give of wanting or needing anything more. There had to be no one did things just because. Not anymore. And no priest no matter how high had that kind of power. The eyes didn't bother her and while she wasn't sure why he was trying to hide them had no intention of asking him outright either. Eyeing the staff that stood of its own volition when he mentioned she seemed troubled but when his 'stars' settled on her the wings snapped open and the flames had become dark the bloodstains standing out vividly against the flames, the hues losing the frost and taking on the depth of the lake as she bolted upright standing her full height before she

What in the seven hells was that?! What had she just done and in front of Xin no less? One clawed hand clutching her face the other her chest as if she should just rip the cursed thing out of her breast and be done with it now. Looking into the garden the wisteria here wasn't blooming just now, on the other side of the lake it was but that was too far to smell it and the wind was in the wrong direction. Why was this bothering her? Snapping herself out of it she poured two bowls and set them on a tray putting the lid on the soup in case they wanted more once she w

Spying the green onions were still growing, deciding to stop and grab some if they might want some seeing the peppermint wasn't too poorly and setting some on the tray for after as it might help with any upset stomach issues Xin may have later she could always make a tea with it. Before she rounded the corner she stopped her feet refusing to move gripping the tray the sudden desire to be at the bottom of the lake creeping up that had not happened in a while... since Jacob. Why was all this coming back now?! Snapping the wings shut tightly to her back no more, this was over, that was the past the past was dead.
  88. Xin Xin blinked at seeing Sera's reaction towards the male was she.. had the priest said something to upset her. The boy watched her sudden outburst as she stood abruptly from the table noting the changes of the flames which revealed more of her bloodstained clothes and wings. "Uhm.. Sera?" he questioned though it seemed that she was intent to excuse herself, so he would not chide her too much. "I know you were busy watching over me, but we have guest so you should wash up.." he told her perhaps just now noticing how disheveled she appeared though he more or less wanted her to take care of herself some not that he could really talk at the moment his gaze shifted towards the other as they took a seat across from him looking towards the floating staff as well as the berried which levitated on their own that single mercurial orb going large for a moment. "It's nice to meet you too, but just call me Xin.." he offered to

"A pilgrimage..?" he asked curiously allowing the other to fill in any more information. He shifted a little bit from side to side as they spoke those next words just how much did the other know. "Well.." the boy lowered his head slightly letting those silvery locks cover his face, admitting it was difficult. "I suppose that's the reason.. I let it get out of control and my, mother..." he didn't finish the sentence, though there was a brief thought that the other might have been able to help him with that. "Can you teach me to control it?" He felt Sera's presence as she returned though it seemed that she had decided to linger back for some reason.. "Oh, we should visit the springs afterwards. You're welcome to stay here Yori." He stated still curious as to the other's answer as well.
  91. Xins Sera She didn't bother sitting down stepping off the veranda onto the stones and putting the tray down long enough to put Xin's bowl in front of him then hesitated a moment before doing the same with Yori's leaving the tray she bowed and left moving across the courtyard the gavel and petals crunched loudly underfoot not normal for her at all as she made a beeline for her rooms. She was told to clean up she would. Vanishing into her own room she sent a single black flame along the walls upper most battlements to keep watch and fill the bath. Standing before the mirror she could see the streaks on her cheeks, it wasnt dust it was ashes the trail the tears had made through the ash that collected upon her body when she set the vil

She burnt the crops chasing him then the forest as she flew low until she cornered him and his family impaling them till he told her what she wanted to know as she crushed him with her sanctity. All so she wouldn't be alone so she wouldn't be allowed to do....submerging herself in the bathwater, the scalding hot waters sloshing out onto the floor steam filling the room quickly. Rubbing her face till she couldn't feel her fingertips anymore orbs opening slowly taking note of all the blood. If that darkness had gotten loose would it have made her kill another village just to speak with him like last time? All the things in teh shadows she slaught

What if he had seen what she did to bring him back this time? They had slaughtered countless enemies together but they were all evil... lifting a wing to watch the dried blood start to wash away from under the water, the blood dripped on her face just below the surface watching it disperse in rings ever growing. She liked killing it was what she was meant to do, but she wanted peace and to be subservient that meant safety for all. Xin gave this to the cosmos by being her master. The beating of the heart in her chest though made of a stone was so loud why would it not be silent?
  96. High Priest Yori perception had expanded he did not necessarily need to look at the other to see her sudden change in demeanor he could feel the break of wind against his face as her wings suddenly snapped open and those flames took on a darker color. "Apologies if it was something I said.." of course he had a habit of assuming people were in need when they weren't still he would not say anything else about it before shifting his gaze back towards the boy and he spoke of her appearance. His had not been much better it seemed though she had taken care of him while he slept it seemed. "Lord Xin, please do not trouble yourself on appearances over my account." He made sure to use the boy's preferred name.. Tendrils of wispy smoke continued to coil from the steel cage which hung from the staff carrying that floral scent.. and the ringlets slowly

"Yes, it's more of a spiritual journey meant to strengthen our connection with the father." he smiled a little bit. "As for your offer, food, and a place to sleep is more than fair, though I don't generally accept payment for helping others, as oft I'm forced to rely on their kindness instead. It's supposed to be humbling but I feel I have much to learn there." He offered before noting the other's change in demeanor as they spoke of there mother he was sure that there was a story there. Though a smile stretched across Yori's pale face. "Of course, it is my duty to offer guidance to those who ask." as he spoke those golden butterflies flitted around the child one landing right on the boy's nose it's wings expanding slightly a

The butterflies drifted towards Sera the own shimmer around the male thinning slightly as if lengths of thread unraveling from a wool cloak, and they floated down the hall towards Sera. She would feel the weight of the tray lesson, weightless, as if to say she did not have to carry the weight alone. Though he watched as she placed the tray down long enough to serve either of them before suddenly running off across the courtyards.. perhaps she was just diligent to obey. "You shouldn't be so hard on her Xin she was watching after you for a long time it seems. As for helping you control it, we should start with that a little later once you've recovered some."
  101. Xin Xin could feel Sera's inner turmoil as well maybe Yori needed to help her after all! Or, had he been the cause of it somehow? The boys gaze shifted towards Yori a moment. "It's fine, she's just distrustful of others, I'm sure that she'll come around though." He smiled a little bit. "Actually she hasn't liked ANY of my friends so far. Then again everyone from my past has tried killing me so I guess that makes sense." He grinned more widely before nodding as the other mentioned appearances this only prompted the boy to run his fingers through his hair mussing up his mane even more so! Listening as the other spoke of a spiritual connection and.. the father? "I see, but your strong aren't you, I'm sure you could just do everything on your own if you wanted to." He narrowed his gaze slightly at the other before nodding slightly when the other offered to guide him going crossed eyed onc

  103. e the butterfly landed upon his nose. Tickling his skin, he laughed, before it flitted off down the hall towards Sera. "You shouldn't do that Sera likes to do all the house-hold chores you'll be taking that away from her." He gave a small nod when the other spoke of not being so hard on her. "You're right.." looking down again. "I only wanted her to look after herself." He replied, though something about Yori made Xin feel strange-or maybe he just was not used to others talking to him like that, still he seemed to listen. His gaze shifted towards the room where Sera had ran off to noting the prints that she left upon the ground. How had that happened? It did not seem the memories of the village had come back to him yet or maybe he had not processed it yet. "Okay~" he blurted when the other suggested putting off their training. Slurping some of the soup which had been left out for him.
  104. Xins Sera As the tray grew lighter she growled softly. She could carry a dam tray why was he butting in? Before she vanished into her rooms she heard the voice almost chide her master on being harsh. the unmitigated rage that filled her suddenly! Though the link was open and she wouldnt ever close it least he need to summon her he could hear the questions of his mother come to a shortstop and then of controlling it. It this was all he sought then she would say nothing of it but if this Yori was to become something more permeate she would need to get a grip on her behavior and quickly. Shredding the clothing off her form and tossing it aside she looked at where she knew the traitorous heart lay, the tip of her own wing pierced her skin and tapped the heart as if to tell it to be silent. the heart responded with a thump so hard she felt her body jolt in the water wings splaying resulting in a crack in

  106. the bath. The hells? Did it just rebuke her? Sitting up resting her hand upon it as the wing slipped free of the skin, that sealed up immediately after "What is it you have to say?" it was a stupid thing to do as if it could answer yet it was worth trying. "Is it you he irks or me?" Falling back in the water hair washing over the sides a brow raising "Maybe if I hurled you at him... a thought" As she stood up the sound like glass shattering was heard to echo across the grounds the bath had broken and Sera was seven kinds of hella mad. water came running out of her study door and out onto the veranda. As she had no bedroom it was only her papers she worried about running about without clothing chasing them around. Her rooms suddenly ablaze of dancing lights small balls of flames evaporatign the water as fast as they could, this was impossible! How was she supposed to get anyhting done now?!
  107. High Priest Yori "I'm afraid I may have upset her." He watched as she trekked off before returning his gaze towards Xin once more. "I hope you're correct about that. Though these people don't really sound like you're friends if they're trying to kill you." He seemed to take the claim seriously enough letting out another laugh as the boy messed up his own hair even more as if to accommodate his wishes. "True, I could probably do everything on my own, but when we leave the church we are not permitted to take currency with us and are forced to ask for help while helping others in return - being without is meant to temper us in humility. As I said everyone, no matter how powerful, needs help from time to time. That help however can take on different forms." he informed the other looking at him from across the table he was helping himself to his own soup as well using a spoon this time to bring it to his lips as he at his fill. "My apologies then.. I hope my instru

Oh gods! He covered his eyes quickly with one hand before it took him a moment to question what was going on - was she okay? Slowly he moved to his feet. Cloth pressing lightly against the hardwood floor as he seemed to skip across the gardens movements poised and grateful, he was standing just above the rock on the very tip. "Might I.. offer some assistance?" he questioned determined not to butt in this time as he felt like he might have been pushing her too much at this point. [y,n]
  110. the priest pressed lightly against the top of the stone clearing the rest of the distance as he was hovering just outside of the veranda, most of the papers were floating in the water already and ruined with ink each piece now looking like a Rorschach test. One page drifted slowly towards the water and he caught it. Or rather it stopped in mid-air once it had touched his light before floating up towards his hand it looked like a recipe of some sorts not that he was attempting to pry. As for the rest of the ruined paged there was not much he could do to restore the ink.
  111. Xin Xin listened as the other spoke. "Don't worry about her she's like that with everyone." Before tipping his head slightly. "But, they were all fun to 'play' with." It did not seem like he ever really considered himself in any danger. Though his explanation about the pilgrimage drew him in he did not really understand everything about it or why he would need to do something like that if he was already powerful but was captivated just the same. "I see.. well I don't, but sounds interesting." He smiled a little bit afterwards he could sense Sera's growing frustration merely glancing towards where her study was on occasion. It was just a bath no need to be upset! Then he heard a loud crashing sound followed by a flood of water and the priest was already off seeming to glide through the air. That bright silver orb widening slightly he could fly but it was different than Sera he did not have wings to carry him rather he just hovered in the air as if drawn by invisible strings. Though what was more bemusing was the sight of Sera running around trying to capture the flying papers he had never seen her so flustered before. *What.. happened over there?*
  112. Xins Sera *I'll burn it all Ill raise it to ash!* She was screaming in her own head yet another voice chiming in *Calm we can recount it all we can remake it. We did it once we can again. Do you wish Bocchan to hear you?!* The link went silent a moment then Xins question chiming in made the seraph spin to face him covered once more in ash and ink. The long lengths plastered to her face and skin hiding her to some degree. The paint was washing off her calligraphy scrolls most had already begun to wither from the boiling hot water, the records she was keeping of everything up till the point Xin vanished were all disintegrating in the water recipes of Xins favorite foods things they had made together

Turning on him seething in fury wings at the ready she might have stabbed him then and there had he not been the only thing keeping the taro paper from getting wet. The water coming ever closer why did she have to use such hot water the paper was so old already it never stood a chance. "Save that!" shouting at him for the paper with batter on it still hardened as it was but it was precious. Crossing two wings over herself a dress fell over her form

Mush and ash cover her form sludge in her hands clenched between fingers she deserved this, falling to her knees her voice is soft the flames all die away "Sono subete ga nakunatta...Ume rarenaito kako wa kusaru" laughing a sound not natural to her not something anyone might wish her to do. Head falling back as the thump in her chest sent her backward slightly, eyes rolling to look over at Yori and the paper he saved that one lone scrap the frost returned and she was calm again for now. "Kansha" The courtyard went dark no more flames no more light only the normal torches casting a glow about the castle walls under each rose.
  117.
  118. High Priest Yori felt a little sadden at seeing all the papers going up and flames he did not really know what was on them but history was history, and some documents were hard to reproduce he could only imagine what he might feel if the library in the cathedral had suffered the same kind of travesty though he had managed to scavenge one lone page and prevent it from being swallowed up by the water he held it lightly between his fingers carful not to crumple it up and might have even snatched it without her prompting though as she had asked him to he felt justified in helping her this once.. his gaze shifted towards her then as she gaze some utterance seeming to resign herself to what had happened as the flames suddenly dissipated plunging the gardens into darkness once more save for the faint golden glow that was around the male and the blue t

He released the page allowing it to float towards her stopping just at her eye level allowing her to take it if she wished. He merely smile that cloth mask still covering his face though she would be able to see the outline of his jaw and the corners of his lips - and those glowing eyes which burned through the fabric and four pupils which lowered towards her. "Welcome." He replied she would be able to feel the warmth of his voice once more as well as the faint glow that he was close enough to that faint glow which expanded six feet from him like a halo of light. Though as she reached to touch the paper she would be able to feel the warmth spread across her skin always calm, like still water.

  122. Xin still was sitting across the courtyard as he had not really moved from that spot watching as the floating man moved across the gardens in almost a single bound and plucking a single piece of paper from the air as easily as Xin might have lifted his own cup.. though the man had not used his hands to do so. He thought he heard Sera arguing amongst herself before the link suddenly went quite. *Sera?* It was more a question, just what was she doing over there? He pushed himself up slowly, though he still felt a little weak from disuse as he slowly make his way across the gardens sand crunching softly beneath his feet leaving small imprints. Sera had been covered in ash and ink as if she had painted herself.. he paused noting all of the images which were slowly bleeding away, the whales , and lily pads, the frost king it was like she had captured every moment and transposed them onto canvas had she been doing this while he slept he watched them slowly burn away one by one becoming unrecognizable. "This.. isn't really what I had in mind when I told you to clean." Maybe that's what she had been doing washing away the past? He pointed out.. now she was exposing herself to the stranger.. and him. He looked towards Sera and to Yori. "I'm going to go finish eating. Take your time!" He ran back towards his table.
  123. Xins Sera Leaning back to look over the paper the memory replaying so vivid the laugh of Xin as the flour went everywhere. A sad smile pulling at her lips "Everyone hides... are the windows to your soul so hideous? Why do you hide behind that? We're all monsters of some degree... me more then others. Take it off." Hearing Xin call her she stopped taking the paper nodding her thanks to Yori "I prefer my chaos and pain let me keep it if a while longer.... -almost pleading softly- please." The heart kicking her again as she put the hand holding the purple paper to her chest seeing Xin coming over her gaze trailing his own "Apologies Bocchan Ill clean it at once." Using her wings like braces she lifted herself onto her feet then into the air as Xin ran back to his food. A gr

The half sad smile lingering more in her eyes then her lips in an instant all was a flash of light and flame then nothing more than steam rising from the pebbles of the garden. Not a trace save that in her hand of anything that had transpired landing softly once more. Using her wings as a cover to hide herself she stood before Yori. "Your food is getting cold. Eat I will air out your room and get it ready for you." Moving back to the veranda to run her fingers through Xin's hair not a single strand was out of place the garments she wore suddenly flowing in the breeze "If you still wish to relax ill prepare robes for the onsen and see you there momentarily" Picking up the tray and looking at them both.
  126. High Priest Yori Studied her a moment as she looked over the recipe listing as she spoke of the mask he wore which covered that burning gaze. Take it off. "Usually others prefer not to have my gaze upon them." He replied soft, the church gave a different reason though that was mor ceremonial in nature. "..they thought if I were to look upon sin I might become corrupted by it, but everyone sins and I was surrounded by it long before the church had taken me in." he closed his eyes and the cloth fell slowly towards the ground drifting slowly back and forth like a feather, before those white lashes fluttered open once more revealing those pools of liquid gold if his gaze was molten metal before it was now a raging inferno when looked upon directly as if the intensity w

His face though did not quite seem to match the intensity of his gaze there was only sympathy there, while those four pupils focused upon the girl he heard Xin approach as well as his comment. Take your time. he lingered there a moment as she levered herself up from the ground only to take off into the air. Shimmering emerald falling from the sky only to wash everything away all at once he turned his gs gaze skyward until she had returned. "Thank you." He stated when she said that she would air out his room she seemed different somehow. He turned slowly in the air before floating back over towards the table setting down once more to finish his soup.

  130. Xin Xin settled down at the table once more popping another lychee into his mouth as he gnawed the flesh from the seed within spitting out the seed afterward into a bowl doing his best to ignore whatever the other two had been talking about at the moment as if he might have been interrupting something... though that did not keep him from glancing over occasionally to see Sera quickly taking off into the sky only to wash away the remnants of the burned papers and return to his side. Running her fingers lightly through his hair. "Better" he said softly glancing up at her indeed she looked restored.. "I'd like to go to the onsen feels like it's been a while." He replied, "Yori's coming too." He grinned a little bit making the decision for the other.
  131. Xins Sera When the mask fell what she saw was breathtaking had she one to take. "Beautiful" when asked if she was satisfied she nodded "Indeed your soul is not half so ugly as I thought it would be" Shooting off like a star she would leave that wretched heart there in the garden she didn't need its emotions corrupting her. Once Xin announced they would be going to the onsen together bowing "Your desire is but my will seen to fruition" she moved off to air out the room sliding doors open on all sides returning with robes "Shall I open the door or would you care to fly?" While the two males soaked she would take the time to change the bedding and air out Xins room too getting the nightgown ready for him and towel for his hair. Refilling water pitchers and seeing the basins were full of freshwater turning down the sheets for them both clearing the dishes and seeing things ready for the morning meal she would return to them and wait for them to be done with the onsen and see them home.

It would have taken much to catch the priests off-guard though he balked a little at her words and might have gapped a little as she spoke, beautiful. Though he caught himself, pressing pale lips into a thin line. "Not many would say that.. and not many would stare into the sun." he spoke quietly, once she had returned his gaze shifted towards the green heart as if attempting to peer into it was it really something she should have been getting rid of? Regardless he would join the pair near the kotatsu once more; a soft laugh escaping his lips as the boy suggested rather strongly that he would be joining them at the onsen. He folded his hands lightly in front of him. The staff all the while had been following at his side. He would have followed them to the springs weather by gate or glying curious what the young lord might choose, before arriving at the onsen itself. Waiting to follow the boy's lead before disrobing himself. Disrobing, the priest had been pale though his right upper half and arm was a shade whiter if that were at all possible like a long since faded scar the only traces were the faint outline of color.. there was also a thin white line on his left shoulder and one on his right thigh. He had wrapped a towel around his waist before joining the other.

Sipped some of his tea once he had finished his soup waiting for the others to finish up with whatever it was they were doing he would need to ask Sera later why she had shattered her bath - this was the second time wasn't it? He leaned back hands resting against either side upon the light padding as he looked up at the others. "let's fly there." He stated, he was curious to see if Yori would be able to keep up and no surprised the male was able to follow them easily though his own movements were rather subtle, graceful. While Xin felt the wind stirring through his hair it did not seem that the other was touched by the wind at all he peered curiously at him before finally they arrived at the onsen lowering himself slowly towards the ground, it had been a while since they had, had a guest even before he had fallen asleep so he was curious about the other. "Sera, can you get us some strawberry milk when we're done here?" he asked. Nothing better than a cold glass of milk after soaking in the onsen. He lowered himself into the water tossing his own clothes haphazardly before disappearing beneath the murky surface.

Leaving them there to soak awhile. Once she returned there were a few words exchanged and everyone was returned to the castle. Bringing the two each a glass of said beverage and standing waiting for them to finish so she could clear the drinks away and get Xin ready for bed. She spoke so little only what needed to be said really.

He lowered himself into the water tossing his own clothes haphazardly before disappearing beneath the murky surface, he looked to where the boy had disappeared to as well waiting for them to resurface before allowing himself to just float - wild mane of white spready outward across the surface of the water before closing his eyes. Listening as the boy had made his request. "It reminds me of the cathedral." He spoke quietly, even if Xin had not been listening. "The priests and acolytes would not let me lift a finger to take care of myself, they washed and dressed me before sending me on my way." A thin smile stretched across his lips. Soaking for a while they were finished... he pulled himself from the water though he did not really need a towel. Instead, beads of moisture were pulled from his form like tiny glass marbles plucked from the air, forming a ring around the male remaining suspended in the air for a moment before crackling against the stone. The heat from the onsen was almost enough to make him pass out so he knew that he could not stay for long even if the temptation was there.. He finished getting dressed waiting for the other to return before taking hold of the cool glass and sipping at it's contents. "Thank you." He stated softly, before taking a long sip. Polycoria gaze settling upon her once more. She seemed... different. "Was it really okay to leave it there?" he questioned.

  145. Xin remained towards the bottom of the springs for a long while before breaking the surface with a gasping breath. Lengths of platinum strands clinging to either cheek before he found the other just floating there. He noted the slightly discoloration of skin as well as the thin line over his left arm curiously before tipping his head slightly as the other spoke saying that the Onsen had reminded him of his home.. or had he been speaking about Sera? He swam over towards the other individual. "Did they kick you out?" he was still unsure why he would have left, couldn't he have done whatever the church needed of him by staying there? Still he was curious about the other and their strange demeanor. As to the other thing.. "Everyone needs their purpose." he murmured lightly, watching as the other pulled himself from the onsen once Sera hard returned and how they dressed themselves it was almost as if a ghost was pulling on the robes for him as well as lacing those golden clips through his hair once more, and the ability to simply draw the water from his skin.. Xin pulled himself out of the onsen afterwards having to rely on a towel to dry himself off one wrapped around his waist while the other had been tossed over his head waiting for Sera to return. He sipped his own drink allowing her to dry his hair.

"If it interferes in my duties it is a burden I am loyal to only one." Once done she pulled the dressing robe from her forearm and draped it about him. "Shall we retire bocchan?"Leaning forward that he might make himself comfortable between the wings rather then in her arms. "a detour around the lake might do you good" if he agreed and Yori didn't mind she would soar just above the water surface so that he could Trail his fingers in the water as they did slow lazy Circle eights across its surface. Without the heart to slow her she was free to return to the way things were she can perform her duties without emotions pitiful Petty emotions getting in the way.

Long white strands threaded through those golden clips and the staff was tugged towards him by those invisible threads still giving off their faint scent. I am only loyal to one. "Might that it better help you serve if you were to listen to it?" he was not really sure the purpose of the heart but she seemed.. less emotional now. He tipped his head slightly allowing those quadrapupil eyes to settle upon her a moment before closing. His cheeks still a little red from the heat but he gave a small nod when the other suggested a detour. "I have no objections." He would have followed them back towards the lake hovering just above the surface himself. Figure surrounded by a glowing surface which reflected off the waters surface like a distance star. The image upon the still lake distorted as the other broke the surface. He could see the flames deep below almost as numerous as the stars in the sky, but for now remained silent and out of the way allowing the others to enjoy themselves.

  151. Xin had listened to the exchange between the others looking at Yori intently with the bright mercurial orb. "Why did you decide to help us anyways?" he was curious why the other had decided to help him and even promise to teach him to control the power. As for the heart.. he remained silent about that for now, before turning back towards Sera as she suggested a detour across the lake. "Okay." he would have let her pick him up as she often had before settling on the spot between her wings. Legs gripping along either side of her waist as she took off. They could Retire after. Long platinum strands whipped about his face. Hair seeming to match her own like the silvery tail of a comet streaming behind them as they had reached the lake. He held out one hand skimming across the surface. And, blow, sprayed into the air from one of the whales that had come up to greet them. "Hello there." He waved as they shot past. His gaze then shifting towards the glowing figure standing above the lake. Yori - had his eyes closed at the moment. Still that gaze made the darkness within Xin quiver slightly. *How strong do you think he is?* the boy questioned. He had not met many human's capable of what he was..

There were of course ways to test this and as long as he did not suspect they were indeed tests perhaps he would be willing to subject himself to them. *if I may be so bold perhaps a contest could be suggested. Through the trials and tribulations of such a thing weaknesses can be learned as well as the extent of one's power* the fact he was able to heal her master when she was not to make the darkness cower as only he seemed to be able to do all of these things seemed only to enrage her at her deepest core. Even without the heart she could feel that malice and distrust and had always trusted it before she saw no reason not to do so now. *do you believe his story? The priest could not help but laugh at the child's previous question weather he was kicked out or not.. "Far from it, they practically begged my to stay but, I thought I would be able to do more good if I have left on my own." He replied without any thought. Though the next question might have been a little bit more difficult to answer. "Because you were in need - I offer my guidance to any who should seek it, though you were not really in a state to seek it on your own." He replied - though he was somewhat uncertain if that was a satisfying answer. Because that's who he was, because his faith told him to, because he was duty bound? Each were possible answers, he contemplated it himself as he lowered his gaze towards the surface of the lake waiting for the others to finish and take them back towards the castle a small smile spread across his lips however as one of the whales broke the surface of the lake shooting up a stream of water as if in greetings to the boy.

But, she brought up the Ice King and Xin gave an inward nod. Somehow however Xin thought that this priest might have been able to dispatch the that creature more easily than he had.. Then Sera had suggested testing him somehow. *I'm sure he will show us something interesting when he gets around to teaching me like he said, but I wouldn't mind testing him..* a grin spread across the boy's face he was curious as to what sort of test that Sera had in mind for him.

Once they'd had set back down Within the courtyard sitting her young Master upon his normal Stone one of the larger in the garden she waited for the other to make himself comfortable. The ever falling petals swirling around the young master as if happy to see him tickling his cheeks as they slowly moved their way towards the other. Curiously he reached out taking one of those falling petals into his grasp pinching it between index and thumb as he turned the leaf over they somehow seemed to fall endlessly but did not leave the ground a mess of petals. She had set him down upon one of the larger stones towards the center of the gardens. Had she placed him there so that he could watch whatever she was about you do? He felt the petals tickle lightly against his cheeks causing him to writhe a little bit upon the stone before shifting his gaze towards the others. *Well, not sure what he would be trying to deceive about, but It's worth a try I suppose.* he spoke through their link before slowly standing to his feet, spreading his arms outward before leaping down onto the grounds below the soft pink sand crunching beneath his feet. "Okay," he chimed softly he had still not fully recovered but could walk as least was she talking about the heart? "Be sure to show Yori to his room." When he hopped off the rock wings opened to either side of him as if to help him balance should he need it but quickly laced together again as if she hadn't wanted him to notice she had done that. "As you wish Bocchan" Looking up over his head to Yori with a slight bow "This way if you please." That he seemed so engrossed in the petal was an oddity to her. "Its seems unnatural to you?" would he understand that it was her gift to her master? That it pleased him? As they walked along the flames changed to a soft purple as did her gown. Once at the other side of the private chambers she stopped but not at his room kneeling down she sat and slid the door open inside a massive room with nothing more than a mirror tall and wide sat alone in the center of the room all alone, a thin sheer white sheet covering it. "What are you celestial, mortal, divine? I am none of these things yet your powers seems to be all three. If you are to help the young master in his training to over come the darkness you must never let him look into this mirror. It reflects truths that must stay hidden for his own sake. I obey until such time that his life or mind are at stake then I will act as I see fit. I do not threaten you do not misunderstand me. This is a warning to us all" Waiting to see if he wanted a closer look or not if not she would close the door.

Carefree? His attention shifted back towards Sera then as she asked him to follow her proceeding towards the room. "Usually when things fall they stay on the ground. I can't really say unnatural, since I might be considered unnatural myself." A thin smile traced across his lips then as he followed her down the hall when she stopped at one of the rooms and kneeling to slide open one of the panels. He looked inside a moment noticing the large white sheet covering an oblong shape, a mirror beneath the translucent cloth.. Those quadrapupils settled on her for a moment after taking in the room. What are you. "Nothing I've told you so far has been misleading. The darkness within him is familiar to what was in my home-world. A never-ending force that ravages whatever it touches." Cloth covered feet were allowed to touch against the ground - weighted for once as he approached the mirror, walking this time. Curious. "Is there a reason you keep it here then if you do not want him to look upon it?" he questioned, glancing back at her he was now close enough to touch it.

Moving away to the door again "This place is vast and full of sorrow but it is his home it would do you well not to wander the halls without the light they know the safety of each room." If he had touched it what would happen? Another time this would happen sooner or later she was fairly sure no one could avoid the temptation. 203. The figure came upon the fields to the castle, its bright golden eyes a shimmer against the nights radiant sky. Of course, the figure had come, why would it not come at the familiar sensation. Belial, the figure in a ratted cloak, had been traveling along the tree that was his name sake. This was a pass time, something to pass the ever ending hours that made up the days, immortality was a sin that's punishment was boredom. What else was one to do except travel along the branches that breached each and every world. This was the benefit the Ljósálfar, the Norse Elves of Light, were given. Long lives stretched out past that of other races, much like the branches of Yggdrasil that flowed through every world, no matter how locked it might have been. It was here that Bell felt the call, the strange sensation of dark mana, the ebb of darkness itself. Of course Bell would know it well. Just as Bell held it in it's breast, so too did that little boy hold it in his eye.
  204. Bell had never once told him, not once wanted to let it slip, but they could always sense Xin when they were in the tree. They could always feel as if the boy was just a moments step away. That was how Bell had come to this world, how he'd traveled from that strange fantasy of a life in Eluaria and into this... where was this? Bell looked around, his golden hues positively glowing as took in the strange sights. Every world was different, every world had its own laws, its own rules. The fun part of being a Ljósálfar was discovering what those rules were, and for Bell, how to break them. Paint the world red with blood, black with his darkness and white it all-- The figure stopped taking its small hands and gripping its head to stop the thoughts. The hood fell back and the figures features were full in view. A face unmistakenably of a young woman, no older than its young teens. Its hair ivory like freshly fell snow, is skin pale as if never touched by the sun. A pair of scars laid on its
  205. frail face; one diagonal along its right cheek, the other straight down the left eye. Both had become much thinner than when Xin first saw them, the stitchings had been removed and they seemed fully healed by now. With the hood pulled back, Bell could finally take in the castle, what a strange structure, much like... his own. The figure smiled then laughed to itself. Every new discovery made the two seem more and more related, of course, who was to say this was Xin's castle and he wasn't a guest here..or worse? That made the figure grin more. "Let's go, Everyone~" the clearly feminine figure said amongst itself, to no one else, only itself. And with that the figure moved, almost instantly finding itself in the manors front walls.

He called out to the one lone fish who swam lazy circles in a glass orb which hovered over the pond before he had reached his bedroom sliding the door open and slipping inside. He wrapped the emerald heart in some fabric before placing it inside the wardrobe walking back over towards his own bed. He was slightly thinner as well than when Belial had last seen him - due to being unconscious for so long. He crawled into his own bed after a while slowly falling asleep it was not until he heard Sera's voice did he begin to stir somewhat. *another visitor?* he questioned, even his thoughts seemed groggy. *Go show them inside... well find out if they're bad or not first.*

"What business have you at this hour with Lord strife?" The answer didn't really matter she had been ordered to bring this being inside assuring them towards the Flames that vanished and into the main waiting room of the castle. Lifting a hand a gate like portal opened on the other side of the silk screen. On the other side are young master would be able to step through at his own Leisure without being seen and make himself comfortable before his seraphim wouldn't need you on the floor sliding the screen open so that he could see the person on the other side that had come wandering up to his castle at such an hour only moments after he had laid down to rest.

  231. The figure looked about the castle, its long walls, its ancient decor, it was as a castle should be. And what was Heli to do? There was only a single person here the figure could sense, there was only one way that Bell knew despite never being here. But.. why go straight into the fun? Because it was fun. The figure paused as Flames leaped apon them, around them, surrounding them. While Belial had no ability to produce their own body heat, while Belial had no ability to feel any form of cold, heat. Heat was most definitely something the young looking elf could feel. Almost in a daze, the figure reached its small lithe digits out to touch, to brush against the flames, to see if they were real or fake. But something inside made the figure stop and pull their hand back. Turning only their head, in act that should have been impossible for a mortal without wanting to snap their neck, The figure stared up at the woman. Golden eyes piercing confusion into her. "What's a ' Lord Strife?"

A sigh slipped past his lips as he inched towards the edge of the bed before flopping over the edge and landing onto his feet. He was not really dressed to receive guest thought that did not seem to matter as he had spoken to Yori in a similar state. Now he was dressed in pajamas, light blue cloth. Rubbing his eyes slightly he made his way over towards the gate that had been opened for him so that he could join them. Belial would be able to see his silhouette and not much more until he took a seat upon chair that had been waiting for him. The was smoke billowing around the room as well. All very mystique to any who might have been seeking an audience with Xin until Sera had opened the blinds allowing him to see who it was. "Belle." There was a slightly hint of questioning in his tone though overall he seemed composed. "What are you doing here?" he quickly followed up, though he remained upon the seat for now only his own visage partially obscured though he glanced towards Sera afterward. "Roth.. you met him too?"

Watching the exchange and wondering if this was the one who was far too familiar with her master she leaned down slightly to be closer to Xin the link they shared was all she would say to her young master *Was he not the oddity that would not stop trying to posses you?* He was a very curious being all together. *You know this being?* Did this mean yet another guest? Though the way this one was received suggested that Xin was not pleased to see them or simply annoyed he had been woken? Pulling the open kimono from its stand beside the seat and draping it over his shoulders. Standing behind him wings opening to cover the kimono as if to keep him warm the incense were wafting in the air about them the smoke was subtle and sweet to others not Xin nor Sera it might make them dizzy slightly sleepy. It helped to keep visits short and not annoy the Lord of the castle. Not in the mood for games or to let him be kept from his rest Sera waited to see what this one would do.

  261. The small figure seemed to sense Xin before he actually saw him. His head turned to greet the young seeming boy, again in a way a mortal shouldn't have been able too. "Xinny~" The figure smiled, disregarding the woman at least for a moment. Bell didn't care that the boy wasn't 'dressed to greet', they'd seen him in much less, and him them. "We were bored.." They said with a pout raising their arms, the action caused their cloak to lift and expose their body. As always, Bell wore a tight halter-top that exposed their stomach and shoulders, tight shorts that had been skinned away making them practically undergarments --As Roth constantly told Bell--, long thigh highed boots with miniature metal shields attached to their sides at the top. A single arm was gloved while the other was covered in white bandages. All were made of thick leather for combat. Of the countless scars and stitches that Xin had seen littered all over the youth's body, save from the two on the face, they'd been all
  262. removed leaving nothing but smooth flawless paled flesh. "Letch..?" The figure asked, cocking its head to the side. While it was true the man was a bit extrinsic, had an obsession with death and gaining power, he wasn't really perverted. At least Bell had never seen him pervy, even the time when he ordered the youth to strip down, it was only for a magic test. Again, they turned to Xin. "Who doesn't know Rothimas? He's like.. a guardian, a figure head, a old coot that that plane of existance revolves around. If something happens, he's ether the cause or the end of it." The figure giggled. That certainly seemed to be accurate for the strange old elf who appeared everywhere. Of course the figure smiled at the woman as those golden eyes watched her take care of the young boy. Those golden eyes that peered not just at the mortal coil but into the next. The ones that watched the light take care of a lithe being pretending to be a child, a lithe being embedded with the darkness. Should Sera
  263. posses similar eyes she might noticed that,, much like Xin possessed a darkness in his eye, Bell held one his his chest. If the angel was old enough, if she had been of high enough rank, had she seen the wars at the start. She would most definitely see something familiar about Belial. The one who bore the name of Gods first sword. The one whom had fallen first with his four brothers. The one who was the embodiment of darkness itself, or so the bible would say. Belial, the darkness that opposed God's Light. The figure before her would be smaller than him, by a foot at least, would be thinner, younger and of a completely different race.. but those eyes were the exact same. Golden in color bearing magic circles etched into them. The eyes that currently smiled out at the two. {E} i.imgur.com (hover) \

He replied a more feminine name, Belial, was a female after all at least to Xin. "I suppose your right he was the first one I met when I went there.. strange." He seemed to contemplate this for a moment, had they been expecting him somehow. "I just woke up and you showed up, there's another here as well who's kind of like you too, in some ways anyway." They exclaimed in mock surprise, clasping their hands over their cheeks. "He sure does get around~" With that the figure did a little spin and giggled, taking in the castles sights. "You sure upgraded from that bakery, Mr. Striffy~" Again, a giggle, playfully mocking, came out of those soft pink lips. Of course Bell looked up in the direction that Xin noted. Their face, briefly, only for a moment, became scrutined before returning to the pair with that childish face that could 'do no harm'. "Well like we said, we were bored!" The said skipping around a bit. "Went on a journey, sensed you and tada~" They said turning around with their arms outstretched. "We're here!" It was a

"There's not much to do right now, we're not strong enough to fight our Kings so we're looking for ways to get stronger... Ah I did get this fella though!~" They said happily rummaging through their cloak they eventually pulled out a golden bird cage on a chain, inside was a single cubed figure. It bore a mechanical face on all sides but only one seemed to move In its eyes were two marbles, one red and one blue. Xin would know them well. "Lookie! Its our child hood friend!" The figure said shaking the cage enough to wake the cube. "ShUt ThE HeLl Up YoU wOtThLeSs LiTtLe BaStArD! OnCe I gEt My BoDy I'lL rIp YoU aPaRt AnD bEaT yOu WiTh YoUr OwN sPiNe--" The voice yelled in a mechanical voice, the threats only made Bell smile and before they were done the cage was back in the cloak, the noise disappearing instantly. Foot pointed towards the tip of one of the taller stones as he hovered above it surrounded by a soft aureate ring which formed a halo around his person. It was roughly the same diameter as the khakkhara staff which floated towards his right as if held by invisible strings. His back had been turned from the castle as he gazed outward. Face seeming somehow even more pale in the silvery light of the moon he had requested for the others to join him when they had been ready, giving Xin a chance to eat and get dressed before they begun. The priests had been wearing those same white robes. The sleeves drifting down past his hands towards his knees while both arms were lowered, white material which was embroidered with purple threads forming a sort of wave like pattern across the from of the robes it was held together by a violet braided cord and

He waited for Xin to finally arrive not even looking towards them when he spoke. "Xin." He spoke quietly though his voice easily projected across the glen and could be felt like a warm wave lapping gently against a stone. "I want you to release it, remember, that it will feed upon your fear. You have nothing to fear while in the presence of the light - I will be here to guide you, and Sera will protect you. But more than that you do not have to worry about hurting either of us." Light crackled from his lips taking on a shape of butterflies once more, dividing as a myriad of wings fluttered around him spreading off in each direction leaving a trail of ribbons to follow them. "Sera, if you would, please turn off the flames."

He held out his finger and one landed upon the tip of his finger unfurling its' wings tiny legs tickling his skin. "Bocchan I'm here nothing will take you from me" the circle drawn she had not even noticed whether or not the sword was doing for her what it had done for the priest. The daggers and swords the small throwing knives all of it flying through the air like small darts of an insect after its prey. Kneeling behind him and wrapping Her Wings around him so the darkness could not pull him down into the ground as it had before. Her convictions were as strong as ever when it came to protecting him but the link between t

"Burn and burn again until ashes and light remain" storms were easy enough to conjure but a clear blue sky peace these were not things that she was capable of. Why did he have to open the seal completely why did he listen to that imbecile? Rage began to fill her and well within the priests hands the blade had given off a golden light purity of aura in the hands of the seraphim it grew dark it's etchings silver but the power was unmistakable whether or not she could do is the priest had said she didn't know. All she could hear was a deafening silence she knew the boy to be and her hold held close but she had no idea what was happening. The frosty orbs had long since turn black and were like two dead stars floating in chaos.

Wait he heard the boy's words but at this point it was too late and the darkness began anew like torrent spiraling through the air it began to creep across every surface as if to blot out the entire world in darkness and rapidly expanding. Though at the same time, time seemed to have stopped those petals which were slowly falling frozen in mid-air. The priest had not moved from his spot even as he tossed the blade in Sera's direction. He could see the lines forming in the sky like shards of glass slowly breaking, pieces began to fall like a glass pane with a smattering of clouds across the surface until it struck the ground and shattered, though the f

"You're stronger than any darkness that might be hiding within you, I can see that." He would even be able to feel the gaze of the priest no longer encumbered by that cloth fabric it was like a raging inferno, as if that gaze alone was enough to burn through the darkness at his core. He listened as Sera spoke, his gaze shifting towards her.. more curiously now as she examined the blade he had given her.. It was hallow only in that it did not produce energy, there was nothing significant about the steel she might as well have been holding a solid piece of iron for all the good that it might do - though he seemed confident enough in the sword.. and her. Giving a small nod. "It will.." He pushed lightly against the stone as he began to move through th

When she pushed her own sanctity through the blade it would have formed a ring around them that somehow seemed solid it melted through the darkness. "All you need is a little faith." he told her, his voice was soothing and she would see that he had approached her standing a few feet away. "And the right guidance.. it just depends how far are you willing to go?" He extended one hand the light condensing around his fingers as it parted through the ring of silver before coming to rest against her own that held the blade. He exhaled slowly and the light slowly began to leave him rushing forward. "Even I could not defeat an enemy I could not see." He spoke quietly - "Xin needs to see that he could not harm you either." He stated calmly. She would feel the light slowly flood into her as it had done Xin previously she would feel it spread throughout her body like a gentle wave

The warmth - the light - the distant flames which were numerous as the stars in the sky. If she looked at Xin she would see a flame of pure white - with a dark circle at his core. If she looked at Yori she would see a beacon of golden light which flowed through his veins. What color would she be? Without much pondering Yori would have urged her hand upward towards the sky. "Just focus your sanctity through the blade." He told her his voice calm against the brewing storm just outside the ring. If she did - a beam of light would project from the point a bar of silver, solid, followed by a sheen of gold...the blade ended somewhere in space bound by neither time nor this world cleaving through the darkness itself - like a hammer of judgement all she would have to do it swing.

Though by the time he had decided it was too late - the flood gates had been opened and there was no way to close it again. He had fallen onto his knees gripping the sides of his head as the darkness continue to leak from the open seal spreading. His sense were consumed by it all he could see was darkness and all he could hear was white noise of the whispering shadows. And, Ser

"stop" he repeated almost weakly but another voice had cut through the deafening sounds.. the priests somehow Xin could hear him almost clearly and he felt his breath catch slightly as he was suddenly brought back to reality Sera had lifted him from the ground to keep the darkness from him but that was hard to do considering it was coming from him. Though he fought against the voices before finally opening his eyes, both of them going wide as the projection of the large sword that the two of them held... It would have c

The two broken pieces waving together until they too were consumed by gold and silver light. Like sparks of flames burning holes through a sheet of cotton. Jumping from one spot and exploding before scattering to several more until the sky was full with gold and silver sparks. Each chasing away the dark the voices quieted and he peered up at Sera almost in shock. "S-sera?" he blinked slowly. "What happened?" he did not feel frightened that he would hurt Sera or the other.. how could he?

  339. The feeling of the priest coming closer meant nothing to her saving her master was all that mattered and while she never cared whether or not the darkness would consume her her fear of what would happen to him if it did succeed prevented her from doing something very extreme. When he came closer speaking as he did that ever feeling of warmth that washed over her that feeling she wasn't worthy of ever-knowing again. Why did it always go back to this? Nearly losing what she claimed that small bit of calmness and the chaos that was her destructive existence this priesthood wandered in and promised the moon and stars to her master and he believed has a child's naivety would believe. It wasn't until she was asked how far she was willing to go did she turn those cold and unfeeling torrents of death upon the priest the look on her face

When he touched her she did not pull away he had a very dated the darkness before she would allow him to do so again doing as instructed only for the sake of her master she sent a Shockwave of sanctity through the blade she had done this before normally it resulted in the collapsing of many buildings but the castle would stand as it was created by her once pointed and then allowing it to swing the darkness ebbed and vanished sliced in half everything was burning away the darkness giving away to the light to bring live once more into the Glen. "Its alright your safe everything will be as it is meant to be, rest now I'll not leave you" had there been an ounce of living matter within her had she had a heart within her body it may all have shattered or been consumed. She could feel the Glen slowly repairing itself His Coy Pond fan to Ripple once more with the golden scales flipped across the water surface breaking it into a shimmer of light the mist from the water causing small droplets to wash away the darkness from the stones as if even the fish were helping to restore the natural order. Almost a ashamed to let Xin see the way she changed it's in it before and he would say it again it didn't make it any easier for her to show she had let a part of her past breakthrough apart she despised herself for not being able to destroy or lock away has she had the rest of her life hearts. "I'm here and your safe, you did it. My brave bocchan... are you.... are you in pain?" Still holding some close to her with her wings a hand would release the sword quickly trying to get as far away from the priest as possible. It all happened so quickly some of it in spite of our best efforts happened as more reflux than reaction.

  347. once the blade had torn through the darkness Yori released her hand and the channeling stopped and the sword was no more than a lump of steel which plummeted to the ground when she dropped it. Soon the Glen returned to as it should be with clear skies and color returned to the gardens it was almost jarring at first how quickly so much of the darkness merely burned away as if the scenery had been painted onto a canvas and merely lit on fire. The sword began to floated towards the male as if being picked up by a ghost before fastening to his waist once more. The staff followed him as he began to drift away from the others allowing them a moment. He noted how the woman had changed when he had questioned her though did not say anything about it. He held out the palm of his hand and particles of light slowly began to stream towards the center his palm. "It is.. a gift." He stated softly. Lips pursed together gently before blowing a cool stream of air at the orb and it slowly began to float towards Sera. "It is the sight.." though if she chose to accept it and all that came with it would be for her to decide, a part of him.. if not it would simply be drawn back into the male. He clasped his hands together before bowing his head slightly. "It was a pleasure to have been able to guide you, Xin. I'm afraid there's nothing more I can do for you." He told the boy, before slowly turning pressing against the ground he began to drift off.

  352. Xin felt a certain calmness wash over him he could feel it through the link that they shared as the light had entered into Sera, drawing him back and watching the darkness as it burned away into nothingness his mind was still in disbelief even though he had witnessed it with his own eyes. Strange that. He felt Sera burry her face against his head once she dropped the blade. Peering up at her with both eyes, his left eye was radiant as ever while is right eye was still murky, blind, though no longer forced close. It was not leaking the darkness either though he felt that he could still command it if he wanted to he was not really certain what had changed or what the priest had done to make it so. Still he wrapped lithe arms lightly around Sera's neck. "No, I'm okay." He replied softly. "I feel a little bit strange though.." was it calmness? The quietness indeed my have been uncomforta

He pressed his forehead against he chest for a moment listening to her a small smile stretching across his face, before tipping his head back slightly as he looked at her with those impossibly large eyes. "You.. did it, you defeated it." He said pleasantly. "Well, I knew you could do it all along.." maybe.. she just needed the right push? Though his smile quickly faded. "Your leaving?" looked towards the other still holding onto Sera. *just like that?* he blinked slowly, though felt some sadness as the other said that they were leaving and even began to float away-as if they were just a stone upon his path. He gripped Sera's kimono tightly giving voice to a rather selfish thought. "You can't." he told the male, or rather Sera. "we.. still need you.. what if it comes back?" No, he wouldn't let the other leave so soon!

She wasn't sure what to make of the situation confused by most of it but he said he wished to give her a gift she immediately became defensive she didn't trust it it was some sort of trick a way of controlling perhaps? "Bocchan do I accept?" But when he said that he was leaving and xin became upset at the thought unwilling to give up this teacher who had given him but one lesson in truth there were two but this was beside the point. Without the blade that she found almost worthless it had served some purpose they still needed it and the priest had taken it back. To hear the emotion in his voice it was a command it didn't need to be given voice she knew what her master wished "your desire is but my will seen to fruition" standing up the Wings

If she was allowed she would impart the seraphim's kiss the priest would have no choice but to obey. The vast multitude of options that lay before him would certainly seem as if they had been stacked against him. But he must have known this would come must have somehow seen that this overly extravagant gift he claimed he wanted nothing in return for would be taken to a more Sinister place not by the Lord Strife but the seraphim herself. She did not like what this one seem to be the promises that he weaved into beautiful dreams she saw is only nightmares that would one day break upon the shores of Truth
