  3. Part 1: Design Document
  4. Create an IPO chart and/or Flowchart to describe your solution. You may use Word® or Visio®.
  5. Programming Assignment:
  6. Write a Windows® Application that maintains an address book. This address book should hold
  7. up to 20 entries. You must store your data with arrays. Each address entry will have the
  8. following:
  9. ? Last Name, First Name ?
  10. ? Street Address ?
  11. ? City ?
  12. ? State ?
  13. ? Zip Code ?
  14. Your program must have the following functionality:
  15. ? Display the address book (names only in al phabetical order by last name)
  16. ? Display all information about an individual entry (allow the user to select this)
  17. ? Add address entry ?
  18. ? Delete address entry ?
  19. As always, be sure to use appropriate identifier names, an appropriate title for your Form, and
  20. comments throughout your program. Also be sure to continue to place keyboard functionality
  21. (access keys, an accept button, appropriate tab order, etc.) for use in your interface.
  22. When finished, be sure to submit all source and project workspace files used in your solution.
  23. Because Visual Studio® generates a number of folders and files, the easiest way to do this is
  24. to simply find the solution folder and use WinZip™ or another compression utility to zip the
  25. file.
  26. Submit this file to your instructor for grading.
  27. Although your program is not required to look this way, it might look something like
  28. the following:
  29. Challenge Levels
  30. Anyone up for a challenge? This course offers you the opportunity to go beyond the
  31. required course material. Two Challenge Levels are offered to supercharge your
  32. coursework: Programming Whiz and Rock Star Programmer.
  33. Challenge Levels are a great way for you to learn more about programming, better
  34. improve your existing skills and abilities, and/or highlight how knowledgeable you are
  35. in the unit material. These levels do not count for additional points or guarantee a
  36. higher grade.
  37. Challenge Levels offer you an opportunity to stand out, learn more, and gain
  38. confidence.
  39. To start, follow the rubric and project instructions as normal. If you choose to try it,
  40. supplement your project with the challenge levels. Reach out to your instructor and do
  41. some research for resources. The “Programming Whiz” level adds to the basic level,
  42. and the “Rock-Star Programmer” level adds more challenges to the “Programming
  43. Whiz” level.
  44. You must complete the “Programming Whiz” level before you attempt the “Rock-Star
  45. Programmer” level.
  46. If you start a challenge level, but it becomes too difficult to handle, please stick with
  47. the basic project instructions, as found in the rubric to calculate your grade.
  48. Most importantly—have fun with it!
