  1. I have a few SBCs based on Freescale i.MX6 Cortex-A9. My supplier supports git://git.freescale.com/imx/fsl-arm-yocto-bsp.git -b imx-4.1-krogoth -m imx-4.1.15-2.0.0.xml

  3. Which I have learned is extremly outdated. By looking at http://freescale.github.io/#main-section it appears that freescale is not very active. My board is based on imx6qdlsabresd with properitary patches for kernel and u-boot.

  5. Before I start investing time in this I would like to ask what the best approach is, should I use the already outdated freescale layer? Or try to make my own machine in a newer version. However, making a custom machine looks like a hard task for a beginner.
