700-800 AC [Humans] [Tuffles] [Saiyans]

For many years the three tribes managed to live in peace, but as they lived they continued to breed until the entire continent was filled. The Tuffles suggested expanding outward to the other continents, however the other two were content to stay on the continent of their birth, unsure of what lie beyond Valdis.

The paranoia of the Tuffles caused them to speak out to each tribe negatively about the other. Behind their backs they would speak to the Humans "We've seen the Saiyans praying for our destruction. Watch as they dance around the fire and chant. Surely it is a prayer for victory in battle", and to the Saiyans "Look at how the Humans ask about our technology. They study both the arcane and our technological advancements in secret and steal our knowledge to use it against us. Surely they plan to attack us in secret."

Soon the Tuffles weren't the only ones paranoid. Each race kept a careful eye on the other and even the slightest of action was blown out of proportion. A war broke out between the three tribes, who grew increasingly mad. Humans plotted to create "Divine Technology", an impossible metal god to strike down the Saiyans. Saiyans, afraid of the Human's god began praying to their own gods as they looked up to the skies for an answer.

The Saiyans saw their answer over the years. They began to study the skies out of curiousity and did see that a star in the northern sky glew red for the duration of a full year every five years. Convinced that this was the work of a god, they poured their prayers into this red star. They heard a voice call out back to them "If you wish to see the full extent of a god, sacrifice something great to me, and I shall offer something great in return."

The Saiyans wasted no time and over night raided their Tuffle and Human brothers, spilling their blood by the thousands. They raised their corpses to the sky and cried out to their gods "I give you the flesh of mortals and non-believers. Come forth to this world so that we may dine tonight!" The entire sky was lit ablaze as the star's power grew, severing the portal between this plane and the next. From it came a race of demons, the Makyojins. Their power was immense under the full glow of the star, which was dubbed "The Red Terror", more properly known as "The Makyo Star".

The power from the star was so immense that the Makyos could not seal the entrance to Hell, and out poured corruption far beyond that which had been seen before. The land grew corrupted and sickly. Bile erupted out of the planet's core as sickness spread. The corpses from that night reanimated, their bodies becoming a pale, sickly white. The corruption threatened to consume the entire planet, and every race on Valdis fled in fear of what threatened to consume them.
