06[21:47] * Jenifer_Teague knocks on the door to Kat's room. She herself is only staying a few down the hallway at the inn.
06[21:47] * Kat was napping, but wakes at the sound of the knocking. She rubs her eyes. "Who's there?"
[21:51] <Jenifer_Teague> "A ghooossstt~" She smiles.
06[21:51] * Kat opens the door. "Oh good, someone finally got you. Any chance you don't have any unfinished business so I can go back to sleep?"
[21:53] <Jenifer_Teague> "I need to dye your hair...woooo~" She's standing there with...a rather large bag of hairdressing supplies.
01[21:54] <Kat> "What, today? We talked about this like two hours ago."
[21:55] <Jenifer_Teague> "And? Do you want to wait?"
01[21:56] <Kat> "No, I just didn't expect it this soon." She leaves the door open and goes to grab a chair.
[21:57] <Jenifer_Teague> "I said I'd doooo it, so I shallll~" She's still doing the ghost voice.
01[21:57] <Kat> "Why are you still doing the ghost voice."
[21:58] <Jenifer_Teague> "Iiii dooon'ttt knoowwww." She grins "Alright, I'll stop."
06[21:59] * Kat shakes her head and sits down. "I'm feeling weirdly nostalgic today. Everything is reminding me of stuff. Stupid fortune-teller must have gotten into my head."
[22:00] <Jenifer_Teague> "Oh? Want to talk about it?" She slips around behind Kat and starts to fill a bowl with water. "Alright, we'll start by getting rid of your current dye so you don't end up with a weird two-tone dye job."
06[22:00] * Kat nods and closes her eyes. "I don't really want to talk about it, no."
06[22:02] * Jenifer_Teague nods and starts to gently wash Kat's hair, removing the black dye to reveal it's true colour. "Fine, if you want. The fortune-teller actually told me I should talk to you about ours. I have no clue what that means though."
01[22:03] <Kat> "What'd she say to you?"
[22:05] <Jenifer_Teague> "That I had one chance for something I've been looking for and...something about a doppleganger or twin in the future. Cards are ambigious and stupid at times." Her hands are gentle and very skilled as she removes the black dye...
01[22:06] <Kat> "I agree. So I assume she was talking about you finding some lost treasure or some other pirate stuff like that?"
[22:06] <Jenifer_Teague> "Eh, something like that...though more valuable than just gold." She shrugs.
01[22:07] <Kat> "Well, she told me that I might be found soon and that I shouldn't lash out at whoever does the finding, whatever that's supposed to mean."
06[22:07] * Kat is clearly blonde as the dye washes out, a shade eerily close to Jen's own, in fact, as more and more of the dye comes out.
[22:09] <Jenifer_Teague> "Found? On the run from someone?" She makes a 'tsk tsk' sound. "Going to need to wash and treat this before we dye it. It's not in great condition...
01[22:11] <Kat> "Probably not. I'd been out of contact with most civilization for a while, until a few weeks ago."
[22:12] <Jenifer_Teague> "Right. Because your order of Knights of the Grump don't have a main branch in a city where you can get decent shampoo." Kat's hair is now back to it's original colour and wet, with Jen starting to gently wash it, massaging shampoo into Kat's scalp with skilled hands...
06[22:15] * Kat relaxes. "It was more being stranded for several years, but it all ends the same doesn't it."
[22:21] <Jenifer_Teague> "A bit, yeah. Next time you get kicked off a boat, maybe try somewhere with a decent hairdresser?" She's still gently washing Kat's hair.
01[22:21] <Kat> "I'll keep that in mind for next time."
06[22:24] * Jenifer_Teague nods and starts to rince Kat's hair. "It's almost a shame to dye this. With a little work, your hair could look almost as good as mine."
06[22:24] * Kat shrugs. "We'd probably get weird looks if we both walked around with the same hairstyle. Besides, I like it this way."
06[22:26] * Jenifer_Teague shrugs "Heh. We'd look a bit close, wouldn't we?" She's got a big flutty towel out and is drying Kat's hair.
01[22:29] <Kat> "Yep. So what's with you and that woman from earlier? Jilted lover?"
[22:29] <Jenifer_Teague> "Gods, she WISHES. She's a pirate I've ran into before."
01[22:34] <Kat> "I guess it didn't go well."
[22:36] <Jenifer_Teague> "Well, she's creepy and weird, for starters." She finishes drying Kat's hair and holds up a mirror. The treatment has added a lot more body and shine to Kat's hair, though it's yet to be dyed. Jen can be seen peering over her shoulder, her face right beside Kat's.
01[22:37] <Kat> "Well, that's a given, but I'd have figured you'd bond over common ground in that case."
[22:38] <Jenifer_Teague> "Oh come on." She glowers at Kat via the mirror...the matching hair and the Kat-like expression making them look very, very similar.
06[22:39] * Kat smirks. "So you ran into each other and I'm guessing bullets were exchanged at the politest?"
[22:41] <Jenifer_Teague> "Maybe..." She pauses "...we REALLY look similar with your hair like this."
01[22:42] <Kat> "Yeah, it's creepy."
[22:43] <Jenifer_Teague> "I dunno, I don't mind. I mean, I look great." She snickers.
06[22:44] * Kat rolls her eyes.
[22:45] <Jenifer_Teague> ...her smile fades and she's clearly pondering something.
01[22:45] <Kat> "You look like you're plotting something."
[22:48] <Jenifer_Teague> "Not plotting. Well, ok. Maybe plotting a bit if I ever want to show off at a party by turning up with a twin. But no..." She stares at the mirror a bit.
06[22:52] * Kat just shrugs and lets her think it out, whatever it is.
[22:55] <Jenifer_Teague> "...how many years ago did you end up on the island?"
06[22:56] * Kat starts thinking, and counting... "Um....six or seven?"
[22:58] <Jenifer_Teague> "...huh. What's Kat short for?" She's gone a bit pale.
01[22:58] <Kat> "Katherine, why?"
[23:00] <Jenifer_Teague> "...Annabelle?" She sounds a bit like she can't believe it...
01[23:00] <Kat> "How do you know my middle name?"
01[23:00] <Kat> "Wait, you can't be serious."
06[23:01] * Jenifer_Teague throws her arms around Kat. "OhMyGods."
06[23:01] * Jenifer_Teague makes a noise that can only be described at a squee.
01[23:02] <Kat> "And Jen stands for Jenifer. And you're a goddamn privateer."
06[23:02] * Kat facepalms
06[23:03] * Jenifer_Teague hugs her tight. "OhmygodsOhmygodsOhmygods."
01[23:03] <Kat> "I need a drink."
01[23:04] <Kat> "So, uh, how's the family doing?"
[23:04] <Jenifer_Teague> "Well, missing you for starters." She's still hugging.
01[23:05] <Kat> "Well, besides that. Our brother still a crybaby?"
06[23:05] * Kat also mutters something about punching Pharasma in the face.
[23:05] <Jenifer_Teague> "Yep~" She pauses "...man, I got GYPED on that fortune telling."
01[23:07] <Kat> "Well, this is a spectacularly stupid coincidence. I finally get off that island and run into my older sister in less than a month. And I do still need that drink. So, uh, go down to the bar?"
[23:08] <Jenifer_Teague> "...yeah, I'd like a drink too. Finish your hair later? It's kinda still gold."
01[23:08] <Kat> "Sure."
06[23:09] * Jenifer_Teague stands up, allowing Kat to get up.
06[23:09] * Kat also gets up, trying to squirm out of the grip so they're not attempting some kind of horrible hug-walk.
[23:10] <Jenifer_Teague> Jen is a lot less strong, even if she's agile so she could probebly be thrown off if Kat tries...
06[23:10] * Kat just settles for breaking the grip, but she'll concede Jen hanging on an arm if she's inclined.
06[23:12] * Jenifer_Teague does "...oh gods, this is great. I totally got gyped on the reading but this is great!"
06[23:15] * Kat walks down to the bar. "Goddamn fortune tellers, would it have killed her to just tell me..."
[23:15] <Jenifer_Teague> "I know, right? I asked her about you and it was all super ambigious."
01[23:16] <Kat> "I didn't ask her about anything, I just wanted to see what she had to say."
[23:17] <Jenifer_Teague> "And this is totally where...hey, did you get the Twin card?" She leads on towards the bar.
01[23:17] <Kat> "Yeah. And some wax thing."
[23:19] <Jenifer_Teague> "Yeah, what was with that thing? Down in the bottom right?"
01[23:19] <Kat> "Something about peril and conflict. She probably puts that one there on everyone."
[23:20] <Jenifer_Teague> "Or at least adventurers. Because I mean, come on...it's kinda a given."
01[23:21] <Kat> "Exactly. You could probably stretch that for everything. I mean, you could consider fighting with a spouse 'peril and conflict'."
[10:14] <Jenifer_Teague> (2:21:42 PM) ***Kat gets a drink.
[10:14] <Jenifer_Teague> (2:22:28 PM) Jenifer_Teague: "Yeah." Jen buys one of her own, still honding Kat's hand...
06[10:14] * Kat drinks from her mug heavily
[10:15] <Earthflame> It takes a while to notice Ana. She's sitting quietly at a nearby table, staring intently at a pad of paper and chewing on a pencil.
06[10:16] * Jenifer_Teague waves her free hand at Ana.
[10:18] <Earthflame> She seems rather focused on what she's doing, not even acknowledging Jen or Kat's presence
06[10:21] * Jenifer_Teague rolls her eyes...and tosses the olive from her drink at Ana. She's got a good arm.
[10:21] <Deedles> Jaeger was sat by the bar being an anti-social fuck, sipping at a small glas filled with an amber liquid.
[10:22] <Earthflame> Ana blinks as it bounces off her head, turning around to give Jen and Kat a little smile... Before blinking and glancing between the two of them. "...Jen? Why are there two of you? I haven't had that much to drink..."
01[10:23] <Kat> "I KNEW we should have finished dying the hair."
[10:23] <Jenifer_Teague> "You agreed to finish your hair later AND you suggested getting a drink. You can't blame me for this one." She grins "It's Kat~"
01[10:24] <Kat> "I know what I said, I'm also saying I know that was dumb and this proves it." She grumbles.
06[10:25] * Samanhe plops down heavily at the table, having come up behind the pair. "Hey Jen, hey second Jen."
[10:25] <Earthflame> "...Wow. Your hair is, uh... Really similar." She gets up and moves over, carrying a half empty glass of wine and putting the notepad down before her, tucking the pencil behind one ear.
06[10:26] * Kat gets another drink
06[10:26] * Samanhe leans over to mumble at her best friend. "That's Kat, innit?"
[10:26] <Samanhe> "Ain't nobody else here's got that special brand of grumpy."
06[10:27] * Jenifer_Teague grumps at Samanhe. "Now which one is which?"
[10:29] <Samanhe> She jerks a thumb toward Kat. "That's her, an' you're you. Ya can try ta look like her but ya still have a bit of a differ'nt voice."
06[10:30] * Samanhe gestures to her oversized ears.
06[10:30] * Jenifer_Teague grumps harder. "Well, she IS my Sister."
[10:30] <Samanhe> "Ah." She nods--then, after a beat, turns slowly to staaaaaaare at Jen. "Whut."
01[10:31] <Kat> "It's a long and complicated story."
[10:32] <Jenifer_Teague> "Well, when a Mum and a Dad...or a Dad and a Dad or a Mum and a Mum assuming either of the latter pairs have access to magic...anyway...when they love each other very much..."
[10:32] <Deedles> Even Jaeger caught that one, the half-orc suddenly looking in their direction and blinking, only to quietly nod as if to say 'Suddenly everything makes sense'.
06[10:32] * Samanhe cuffs Jen atop the head, then watches Kat return. "Well, looks like we got some time, so why not?"
[10:33] <Earthflame> ...Ana looks up from her wine, staring between them. "...Wait. You're sisters? Didn't you only meet the other day?"
01[10:33] <Kat> "I don't even know the whole story myself. Just tidbits."
[10:33] <Jenifer_Teague> "Yes...and?" She looks at Ana.
[10:33] <Earthflame> "I... How..."
[10:34] <Jenifer_Teague> "I'd tell you but Sam hit me when I started last time~"
06[10:35] * Samanhe glowers. "'Cause ya started with that lame joke ya git. I know how it works, ya don't grow up onna farm without learnin' that stuff early."
01[10:35] <Kat> "Fine, I'll start. About seven years ago while I was sleeping some assholes wrapped me up in a bedsheet and threw me on a ship. Then when the ship sank, I washed up on a deserted cay and met my master, where I got my training. And now I'm here."
[10:37] <Samanhe> "An' before that seven years back ya lived all happy'n secure-like with Jen and yer parents, yeah?"
01[10:37] <Kat> "More or less."
[10:37] <Jenifer_Teague> "She...was...adorable~" Jen grins.
[10:39] <Earthflame> Ana's mouth drops open. And she lets out a little squee. "...Long lost sisters. That's... That's so cool!"
[10:41] <Jenifer_Teague> "I know, right?" She puts an arm around Kat and hugs her tight. "Not letting her vanish again~"
01[10:41] <Kat> "It's going to be considerably tougher for anyone to drag me off in a bedsheet."
[10:42] <Deedles> The half-orc looked thoughtful as he listened to the conversation that ensued, scratching his chin as his thoughts returned to his own reading.
[10:42] <Samanhe> "Alright, well...ya ain't twins, so which one's tha older?"
[10:42] <Jenifer_Teague> "I'd like to see them try. Seriously, it would be adorable~"
06[10:43] * Jenifer_Teague looks to Samanhe. "Take a guess. One of us is much more mature."
01[10:43] <Kat> "Now you're just going to confuse her."
01[10:43] <Kat> "She's older."
[10:43] <Samanhe> She shakes her head. "Oh no, ya ain't gettin' me in the middle o' that fight."
06[10:44] * Samanhe stares at Kat. "Bullshit."
01[10:44] <Kat> "By...two years, was it?"
[10:45] <Earthflame> ...Ana giggles
06[10:45] * Jenifer_Teague nods "Two years...and what do you mean I'm going to confuse her?"
01[10:46] <Kat> "She'd probably start thinking you were five if you put age and maturity together."
06[10:47] * Jenifer_Teague sticks out her tongue "Says the girl who dyes her hair black because she's too dark, serious and myserious to keep her normal hair."
[10:47] <Samanhe> "Jen, you're my best friend, but yer little sis's got more o' that air o' serious than you do." She nods for a second. "Prob'ly 'cause she got stole an' shipwrecked."
01[10:47] <Kat> "I already told you, it looks weird with my armor."
[10:48] <Earthflame> Ana is just grinning and giggling. "...This is unreal..."
[10:49] <Jenifer_Teague> "It's just contrast and I don't believe that part of it isn't because you want to do that 'Dark knight' sort of look."
01[10:50] <Kat> "I like my hair to match my armor, it's not like you don't do things for style yourself."
[10:50] <Deedles> "Sounds like good things are already happening." Jaeger concluded as he joined the group fully. "Lets hope it stays that way." he added, upon taking a seat.
[10:50] <Earthflame> "Yeah..." Ana says, looking down at her notepad again. "...I'm not sure about the future, though..."
[10:51] <Samanhe> "Oh?" She leans over to look at Ana's notes. "That fortune crank got ya worried?"
[10:52] <Earthflame> "Yeah..." She taps the pencil against the entry for the waxworks. "They nailed a lot of stuff so far... And I'm worried about where it's going."
06[10:52] * Jenifer_Teague pokes Kat in the belly. "Sure, keep saying that's the reason Sis." She rummages through a pocket in her long coat and pulls out a bag of hard sweets. "Hey, you want these? You love them~"
[10:53] <Samanhe> She snorts loudly. "They only 'nail' a lotta stuff 'cause ya let yerself think they are. It's all so vague it could apply ta anyone, they make sure o' that. She picked out three cards an' told me they meant I grew up onna farm. Now who coulda known that?"
[10:53] <Samanhe> The look she gives Ana is pure sarcasm.
[10:54] <Deedles> "I got the waxworks as well." Jaeger said as he looked at the notepad "And the seer knew something specific about my past." he rumble, sipping at his drink.
06[10:54] * Kat takes the bag. "Just remember that a lot has changed since we last saw each other."
[10:56] <Earthflame> Ana looks up at Jaeger in surprise. "You too? Which position? Mine was the bottom corner, the last card..."
[10:56] <Jenifer_Teague> "Ah hah...and does that mean you now hate hard, sweet candy?"
[10:56] <Deedles> The half-orc nodded "Same position for me."
01[10:56] <Kat> "No."
06[10:56] * Kat eats one of the candies.
[10:57] <Samanhe> "I got th'same card, same spot. Prob'ly means the deck was rigged. Somethin' ta spook anyone who comes in."
[10:57] <Jenifer_Teague> They are VERY high quality...and sweet enough to rot teeth.
[10:58] <Earthflame> "Wait, you too? I saw her shuffling..." Ana looks across to Jen and Kat. "Hey, your readings... Did you get the Waxworks?"
01[10:58] <Kat> "Yep. I think she puts that one there for everyone. It's the most generic reading. 'CONFLICT AND PERIL'."
[10:58] <Deedles> "Considering that it seems we'll be travelling together, it makes sense that we will meet the same strife, but not deal with it in the same way."
[10:58] <Samanhe> "People can shuffle up a deck o' cards an' still keep it stacked. Ask this one." She points at Jen again.
[10:59] <Jenifer_Teague> "Oh come on. You can't prove that. You never caught me." She grins "And yeah, I got it too."
[10:59] <Earthflame> Ana gives a little nod, but she doesn't look convinced. "...Maybe that pirate lady's shaman can help me figure out more..."
[11:00] <Samanhe> "I never caught ya 'cause I never played after the first game. I didn't need ya winnin' ev'ry game o' strip five-draw ya egged me inta playin'."
[11:01] <Samanhe> She turns back to Kat. "She still has my straw hat in her cabin, assumin' it's not all wrecked up like Hissy Boots back there kept sayin'."
01[11:02] <Kat> "I guess you proved me wrong, you haven't changed at all."
[11:02] <Jenifer_Teague> "What's that mean Kat?" She looks over at Samanhe "I OFFERED to let you win it back."
01[11:03] <Kat> "You were always pulling stunts like that, or punching clowns, or getting in trouble in other ways."
[11:03] <Deedles> Meanwhile Jaeger leaned over to look closer at the notepad, remaining quiet for now.
[11:04] <Jenifer_Teague> "Hey, clowns are scary AND it jumped out of the bushes."
06[11:04] * Samanhe nods sagely with Jen. "That's fair."
[11:05] <Earthflame> Ana smiles softly at the siblings squabble, relaxing a bit, although she still looks on edge...
01[11:06] <Kat> "I wasn't actually talking about that one. I was talking about the one at the circus who you thought made Noah cry, but it turns out he was crying because he was scared of lions.
[11:07] <Deedles> "Hmm, prophecy." Jaeger muttered "She mentioned that when I was there as well." he told Ana, giving her a gentle pat on the shoulder. "And if everyone's readings are so similar then I guess that means that we'll be going into this as a group."
[11:08] <Earthflame> That seems to make her a little more confident, and she gives Jaeger a warm smile. "At least we'll be in good company."
[11:10] <Jenifer_Teague> "...yeah well he was still creepy. It's part of being a clown."
[11:10] <Deedles> "The best I've met in a long time, I'd wager." he agreed, returning the smile faintly. "And I was told to appreciate what I've got." he added, looking thoughtful.
[11:11] <Earthflame> She glances at the pad again. "...I was told to hold onto my friends... And the reason I'm doing all this."
[11:14] <Deedles> "There is a strength in numbers." Jaeger mused, looking over the short notes again.
01[11:14] <Kat> "I still need to go punch that fortune-teller."
06[11:15] * Kat eats another candy.
06[11:15] * Jenifer_Teague ruffles Kat's hair. "For not just being blunt about it?"
01[11:15] <Kat> "Well, in general, but for that too yes."
[11:16] <Earthflame> "...I don't have much. She was talking about this ancient prophecy that I got wrapped in, somehow... The only connection I could work out was my dad, being an elf and all. No idea how old he was, or what his family do..." She lets out a little sigh. "But... It makes sense. The shadow man said he'd never seen someone like me before..."
[11:17] <Jenifer_Teague> "What was WITH the silver nail polish? That's just a weird choice of colour."
01[11:18] <Kat> "I guess the idea was to match her hair, but she was wearing silver robes too. Mono-color is just tacky, you have to mix it up a little bit."
06[11:18] * Samanhe levels a look at Kat.
01[11:18] <Kat> "AND BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING my padded cloth under my armor is a different color."
06[11:19] * Jenifer_Teague rolls her eyes. "Sure thing Sis~"
01[11:19] <Kat> "Besides, I don't wear nail polish or lipstick. THAT would be tacky."
[11:19] <Samanhe> "Anyway, the silver's prob'ly somethin' else ta mark her as all magicky an' stuff. Cash in on the mystique around fortune-tellin'."
[11:19] <Jenifer_Teague> "...actually, black lipstick could look pretty cool. You'd need to lose the tan though."
[11:20] <Deedles> ""I was told I am tangled in the briar thorns of fate, which is trying to pull me either towards my doom or salvation. She also said that the time to act is now, and to seek companions who I can face the future strife together with."" Jaeger furrowed his brow slightly "She also knew that I was an orphan."
01[11:20] <Kat> "I thought you wanted me to be more naturally colored" She prods.
[11:21] <Jenifer_Teague> "I think that black dye you use is just terrible. It's so...dull..."
[11:21] <Earthflame> Ana looks at Jaeger, and the others. "...I think she had a real gift... But I guess we'll see how things go." She pauses, looking at the sisters discussing fashion rather than the future... And lets out a strange little sigh, smiling and sipping more wine.
01[11:21] <Kat> "I know it is, but it works and it's cheap."
[11:22] <Samanhe> "Trust me, Kat, now ya ain't gonna hafta worry 'bout that part. If'n Jen lets ya keep the black dye it's only gonna be the absolute fanciest dye anyone's ever made."
[11:25] <Jenifer_Teague> "..." Jen pouts at Sam. "...you gave away my gift."
[11:25] <Samanhe> "I didn't *know* ya had any," she protests, frowning.
[11:25] <Deedles> Jaeger did much the same, going quiet for now.
[11:27] <Samanhe> "Anyway. Sorry fer ignorin' ya, Ana, Yayger. But someone's gotta ride herd on these two, or it turns inta some flavor of endless catfight. I s'pose, bein' related an' all, that ain't that big a surprise."
06[11:27] * Jenifer_Teague glowers at Samanhe
[11:28] <Samanhe> "What? I got siblings too, y'know."
[11:28] <Deedles> The half-orc uttered something which probably was a chuckle, but sounded more like a low rumble. "It's a'right."
[11:29] <Earthflame> Ana smiles at Sammy. "Yeah, it's fine... I'm probably just grasping at straws, anyway... I just want to feel like I've learned Something about what happened to me..."
[11:31] <Samanhe> She nods. "An' I should prob'ly stop badmouthin' the fortune-teller lady in front o' ya, too. I don't think it's real, but a lotta people put a lotta stock in it so maybe there really is somethin' to it." She shrugs.
06[11:32] * Jenifer_Teague keeps up the glowering at Samanhe, lip wobbling.
[11:33] <Deedles> "It's as real as you make it." Jaeger said as he got started on rolling a cigarette. "When I told ya back at the temple that you make the meaning I didn't mean if you believe or not, but that things like that can help you consider things you hadn't considered before, notice things that you didn't know were there." he elaborated.
[11:35] <Earthflame> Ana nods at that. "Even if was just clever guesswork... It's given me a structure... And there is probably some truth in this. It's got to be bigger than me." She looks down, scribbling a few more things beneath the notes. "He said I was meant to be a sacrifice... But to what?"
[11:36] <Samanhe> "Prob'ly himself," she says, trying to ignore Jen...and failing miserably. "Alright, put that thing away before it hits the table," she says, flipping Jen's bottom lip with one of her fingers.
06[11:36] * Jenifer_Teague keeps lip wobbling "Meany..."
[11:37] <Samanhe> "Meany? What for? Sayin' you an' Kat get inta it worse'n you an' me?"
[11:37] <Deedles> "Maybe that Shaman will know... Or maybe we'll find out when we go through the mirror." The half-orc mused, before lighting the freshly rolled smoke.
[11:38] <Samanhe> "Yeah, I ain't exactly lookin' forward ta that part," she calls back to Jaeger.
[11:38] <Jenifer_Teague> "And spoiling my suprise..." Her voice wobbles like she's about to cry...
01[11:38] <Kat> "If it makes you feel any better I figured you had some kind of stunt planned."
[11:39] <Earthflame> "...Oh." Ana looks across the group. "...The pirate... Boots, something? She said you wouldn't want me seeing her shaman alone, Jen?"

[11:40] <Samanhe> "Hissy Boots, yeah. Least, that's what Jen called her a few times."
[11:41] <Samanhe> "And I ain't scared," she says crossly, directing that at the half-orc. "I survived a month at sea with Jen. What worse could there be?"
01[11:41] <Kat> "I grew up with her for twelve years?" Kat offers.
[11:41] <Jenifer_Teague> "...why am I used like some sort of benchmark of awful..."
[11:41] <Deedles> Jaeger glanced at Jen "I see your point." he puffed, his pointed teeth visible as he grinned.
01[11:42] <Kat> "Cause you get all upset when we mess with you."
06[11:43] * Jenifer_Teague takes out another candy from the bag and shoves it in Kat's mouth. "...shut up Sis..."
[11:45] <Samanhe> "You weren't the bad part," she says, giving Jen a comforting (and perhaps condescending) pat on the hand. "But ya gotta admit, with the way ya tried ta scour every slavery operation, things got...dicey."
[11:46] <Samanhe> "And that was just in a month's time."
06[11:52] * Jenifer_Teague crosses her arms. "I will have my vengence Sam..."
[11:53] <Samanhe> "I said I was sorry..." She sighs at Jen's intransigent look. "Alright, fine. But leave my knickers out of yer plans, please?"
[11:54] <Jenifer_Teague> "...what? Why would you think that would even be part of my plan?"
[11:56] <Samanhe> "Well, there was the time my undies went up the mainmast on yer ship. I always thought it was you what did it, since it was after another one o' those 'you stole my flask' games. You sure it wasn't?"
06[11:58] * Samanhe seems utterly unashamed of telling these stories, straight-faced and not a hint of a blush behind her freckles.

[12:09] <Jenifer_Teague> "I'm telling the truth. On my honor." Sam knows that Jen doesn't lie if she promices on her honor.
[12:11] <Samanhe> "I believe her," she says simply. "That kinda prank's a bit out of her normal bag o' tricks anyway."
01[12:11] <Kat> "Hm. Wonder who it was then. Maybe you have a secret admirer with poor social skills."
[12:12] <Jenifer_Teague> "Well, we hadn't met you yet Sis so we can rule that out, even if you meet that description."
01[12:13] <Kat> "And she believes you despite your underwear fixation, so I guess we have to rule you out too."
[12:14] <Samanhe> "Hey now. She likes to wear her own, not steal other people's."
[12:15] <Jenifer_Teague> "If I DIDN'T like to wear my underwear it would say something about me. Liking to wear my underwear is normal." She pouts.
[12:15] <Deedles> "If you ever need to scare any creeps just call." Jaeger said with a faint grin
[12:18] <Jenifer_Teague> "If I need to scare creeps I'll let Sam pick her own outfit."
[12:18] <Earthflame> Ana giggles... And then pauses, looking at her own shadow. "...I don't think I'd need any help scaring people..."
[12:19] <Deedles> "I don't mind knocking some sense into people either." The half-orc added as he frowned.
[12:20] <Samanhe> She nods--then frowns at Jen. "Hey. I do okay. Maybe not as good as you with the clothes...but it ain't like I'm colorblind."
01[12:20] <Kat> "I think she might be. You wouldn't believe the 'outfits' she would put together as a kid."
[12:21] <Earthflame> ...Ana looks down at her own all black getup, and drinks more wine.
[12:22] <Jenifer_Teague> "What was wrong with my outfits as a kid? You WORE them."
[12:22] <Samanhe> "If'n that's true--an' I have a hard time believin' Jen ever bein' bad at clothes--she got better, fast. You remember those dresses she stuffed us in." In spite of her words, she smiles a bit.
01[12:28] <Kat> "Oh you'd be surprised. It probably wouldn't have been so bad if she weren't so stubborn." She teases.
[12:29] <Jenifer_Teague> "Ah hah. Says the girl who ate so much candy on her tenth birthday we needed to call a cleric."
01[12:31] <Kat> "You were the one who dared me to!"
[12:31] <Jenifer_Teague> "The entire bowl of punch wasn't part of the dare!"
01[12:32] <Kat> "That was because I was thirsty."
[12:32] <Jenifer_Teague> "That excuses it...how?"
[12:32] <Deedles> Jaeger rose to his feet "I'll see you later." he said, nodding his head in good bye, before exiting the Inn.

[18:57] <Jenifer_Teague> "Oh yeah, you have to look grumpy and dark and gothic. If you want to do that, we should totally get you some makeup for paler skin."
01[19:01] <Kat> "If that was what I was going for I'd have black lipstick and nail polish. And I'd be wearing eyeshadow."
[19:02] <Jenifer_Teague> "...and we'd look like opposites. That could be pretty cool."
01[19:03] <Kat> "It's kind of cliche though. I mean, sisters that are opposites down to how they dress? That's just ridiculous."
[19:04] <Jenifer_Teague> "Things are cliches for a reason, Sis." She opens up the door and heads inside.

06[19:12] * Jenifer_Teague gestures a bit drunkenly at the seat. "Sit down and I'll do your hair."

01[19:13] <Kat> "I'm also not trying to do things, but suit yourself."

06[19:16] * Jenifer_Teague sits down and gestures for Kat to do so as well.

06[19:17] * Jenifer_Teague gets to work, moving suprisngly gracefully for someone as clearly drunk as she is...

[19:39] <Jenifer_Teague> "...I'm so glad I found you again. I've been looking for years...our entire family has..."
06[19:41] * Kat frowns. "I figured. I didn't think about much but survival. Honestly I didn't really think about the family at all, it just made it harder."
[19:42] <Jenifer_Teague> "...sorry we didn't find you earlier." She sniffles a bit.
01[19:43] <Kat> "You don't have to apologize. The ones that did it are on the bottom of the ocean."
06[19:48] * Jenifer_Teague sniffles more "...still...I'm so glad you are back...I won't let anyone take you again."
01[19:49] <Kat> "Even if they got past you, they wouldn't get past me. I've learned a lot. I'm stronger than I was. Tougher than I was."
[19:50] <Jenifer_Teague> "Still..." She tightens the hug. "I don't want to lose you again...I mean...I've spent so long going over that night...wondering if I could have stopped it..."
01[19:52] <Kat> "Jen. You were fourteen years old." She pulls out for a sec and looks her in the eye, though her arms are still on Jen's shoulders. "There is nothing that can change the past. We both got stronger as a result. Don't regret."
[19:53] <Jenifer_Teague> "...I could have...something." She sighs "When did you get mature?"
01[19:53] <Kat> "A long time ago. Now go to bed before you dehydrate yourself more than you already have."
01[19:54] <Kat> "And get some water before you do."
06[19:55] * Jenifer_Teague pouts "I'm the older Sister. You can't order me about." She gives her another squeeze and stands up.
06[19:55] * Kat smirks. "Watch me." She squeezes back.
[19:57] <Jenifer_Teague> "Fine...but I know about drinking water before I sleep. I've spent a LOT more time drunk than you have Kitty." She smirks back.
01[19:57] <Kat> "Probably, but you were always the irresponsible one."
[19:59] <Jenifer_Teague> "Oh come on. Which one of us begged for a unicorn pony and then didn't look after it?"
01[20:00] <Kat> "You said you'd share the responsibility with me if I asked for it!"
[20:01] <Jenifer_Teague> "And I did the part I promiced to do. I brushed her mane and took her for exercise." She sticks out her tongue.
01[20:01] <Kat> "You mean you rode her around and said that was your half, and I had to do all the feeding."
[20:02] <Jenifer_Teague> "Hey, you agreed to the deal when I made it. Wasn't my fault you got scammed." She giggles.
01[20:04] <Kat> "And I thought you wanted to be the responsible one." She sticks out her tongue.
[20:05] <Jenifer_Teague> "A responcible person keeps thier deals, even when they don't like them."
01[20:06] <Kat> "A responsible person ALSO doesn't abuse their little sister's trust in their responsibility."
[20:07] <Jenifer_Teague> "It was a valuable life lesson...and I ended up helping cleaning the stables...which was another valuable lesson."
01[20:08] <Kat> "Because mom and dad made us BOTH clean the stables."
[20:08] <Jenifer_Teague> "And what did we learn from it? Beyond 'Not everything a unicorn does is cute'?"
01[20:09] <Kat> "I think that was all I learned from it. You?"
[20:10] <Jenifer_Teague> "...good point." She nods "Oh, right. I learned that government oversight always screws over small buisness deals." She sticks out her tongue again.
06[20:10] * Kat laughs. "Let me guess, in this lesson of yours the unicorn has the word 'taxes' branded on her flank?"
[20:15] <Jenifer_Teague> "Maybe. And Mum and Dad represent the government that owns the country and/or house."
01[20:15] <Kat> "Alright, alright. Go to bed."
[20:17] <Jenifer_Teague> "Alright Sis~" She grins. "You too." She reaches into her bag...and pulls out a makeup case "Oh, here. Gift. It's even got black lipstick~." She puts it on the bed...and runs.

06[20:21] * Kat doubles over laughing. "I didn't think that would actually hit! Oh, damn, sorry about that."
[20:21] <Jenifer_Teague> "I vill get you fer that Kath." She pouts at her, shaking her fist.
01[20:22] <Kat> "Yeah, yeah, see you in the morning." She slams the door and flops down on her bed.
06[20:22] * Jenifer_Teague heads back to her own room. She's got a pitcher of water in it.
