+nationalparksign __ Going through it now. I'm up to the hand position change - it is definite. It can be innocently explained as "earlier we filmed him showing off the tank and used that footage because it was more clear".



This is a "valid" excuse - *however* when it comes to "NASA" there is always a "bonus" in it for them that does not work to our favour.



*It gets the audience accustomed to seeing "sneaky edits" *and not reacting to them* or thinking about them or examine them*.

*We should collect them*.



We have been focused on the allegedly "live" interviews - but we should spend some time documenting these sneaky edits with their "day-to-day interviews". *It could be far more insightful and boost the larger points we're making*. Especially in combination.



People can call us crazy and dismiss the things we point out with the "ISS" - but they cannot dismiss the things we are pointing out about these "daily life interviews".



The opposition can only say _"it's called video editing and that's because 'NASA' have good production values"_ - but really? Is that what it is?



Is it really just about having "good production values"? Because there are some things which do not make sense and if they had "good production values" they would not happen!



(The point I'm making is - these edits are intentional but not to cover for some editing requirement - rather - it's to train the audience to accept the footage they're showing us.)



Do you recall the video where I showed a Russian guy speaking English in the Soyuz capsule and he had a pencil (or pen) in his hand - then the camera angle switched and he was holding the pen in a different position?



That was another "sneaky edit". *The audio remained smooth on that occasion as well*. It was an even more unnecessary edit than the switch to "pre-recorded footage" of the guy holding the tank.

Back to your video: there was no actual need to cut to "pre-recorded footage" just to show the tank in his hand. (Unless they were both smiling uncontrollably because deceiving large numbers of people is highly amusing.)



Just as there was no need to edit the footage showing the "astronaut" talking with a pen in his hand.



The fact they do these things makes it clear [to me] that these are not "casual chats" but are instead *scripted "movies"* that are comprised of multiple takes - but are presented to us as "off-the-cuff", low key and amateur. *Training the audience to accept that what they're seeing "is okay" and so not to think about it*.



(Yes - I could have watched the entire video twice before writing this comment haha.)
