Hello there. This is text guide for DLC of DmC Devil May Cry Vergil's Downfall where I, Bulkich try to explain to you all mission with main things of the game.
This DLC is kinda short for speedrun and you easily can learn it, because only what you need it's how to press buttons correctly and understand what you will do in your run.
But big minus of Vergil is his arsenal of abilities w/ weapon when Dante have a lot of weapons and can cool destroy demons.
Prepare to do hard movement skips with tries to oneshot everyone and try to not loss you time!
After you know what need to do and with a little bit pracitce you will easily can get sub 30 minutes or less to get good result.
To understand more or less I ask you to watch some NG Human WR run or other my PB's.

P.S. This guide not so detailed because I try to explain main things. In video guide I'll try to show all things which can be and would be in speedrun.

First of all: Main techniques
-Attack canceling by pressing evade button after second attack from neutral mode, very helpful for first crows on first fights with them at mission 1 to get faster their second form, but after getting slasher 2 you can faster kill them. 1-2-Evade-1-2-Evade-1-2-Evade-1-2-3 something like that.
-Rapid slash cancel. This is one of main movement technique on the ground by pressing Angel Mode+Attack+Evade at the end of distance and you can spam to reach enemy, to do a Angel Lift to a next platform or Demon Pull to pull platform to you.
-Aerial Flush cancel. Helpful thing to kick enemies out of area to do a fast enviromental kill, good only on M2 after you start and unlock Angel mode for Vergil. To do a Aerial Flush cancel you need to be in air of course and start spam by pressing Angel Mode+Upperslash(O(PS3/4/5),B(XBOX),F(Keyboard))+Neutral Evade. Be sure you pressing right evade because if you press wrong evade you will do a trick down and lose time. So you can easy spam this ability and kill faster by taking good position for kicking enemies out of area.
-Jumpcanceling is kinda useless there so it didn't using in the run because we can deal damage by one ability from Demon mode it's Atomic(Perfect frame Volcano) with doppelganger in mimic mode(black color of doppelganger which copies you all moves).

Second: Abilities
Main abilities or which you need to buy to deal a lot of damage
-Atomic - Full upgraded Volcano to Atomic which cost you 2 point of upgrade points. Deals a lot of damage and launch enemy to air which gives you a moment to recharge again to atomic or full volcano. With doppelganger in Demon mode or mimic you can oneshot enemy in area very helpful only at end of the game, because doppelganger we would have at last mission.
-Full Spiral Swords - a circle of swords which can deal a lot of damage to kill enemies but it costs to us 4 points of DT, but to easy  refill your devil trigger meter you can spam Atomic into a enemies by dealing damage to multiple enemies.
-Rising Star - Angel mode ability help only for big skips of some fights in game and you should cost it 1 upgrade point important ability.
-Doppelganger Mode Switch - can get while you complete mission 6. You should take this because without it you can't deal big damage to all enemies, he will be in neutral or gray mode without upgrade, but with it you can swith to angel/demon/all modes and this is helpful ability to end run fast in last fights.
-Summoned Swords you dont need to upgrade, because this is not important, because you will use them only in some fights and on some little enemies. But after you got a spiral swords you dont need them, because you can pull to enemies or they to you to kill them by spiral sword.

Third: Buy list
-Slasher level 2 in Yamato. Good thing only in M1 after first two fights where we will earn one ability point, but helpfull to the start of the run.
-Rising star at the start in Mission 3.
-Volcano level 2+Atomic in/after Mission 3.
-Spiral swords lvl2 after Mission 3 or while you get upgrade point if you dont have them.
-Doppelganger mode
-2 devil crosses and 2 small+1 big devil stars.

Fourth:Missions
Mission 1 - Personal Hell
Start of the run would be hard, becuase you have only basic abiities and combos. Your movment would be only on angel dashes.
Stygians or first enemies which you will confort can die by full slasher combo+2 shots by summoning swords. BE AWARE not mash it in one time or you trigger uppercut or helm braker so try to do it easier and not mash.
First fight you pull enemies to you by Demon pull and do slasher combo with summoning swords - fight should take you not long.
Wisp is one of the enemies which have a lot of HP and berserk mode and you should shot a them to be able to kill them. You can do like 1-2 attack cancel by doing evade for get berserk mode faster. You should do 8 attacks 1-2 and at berserk mode can spam full slasher combo. Be sure not do full slasher in open areas because you will knockback them and can them easy pull to you while them in berserk mode and you should wait when they fade out where they can be pulled.
Last enemies in room you can easily kill as second Wisp.
After the fight you should go to the statue which would be on your way and upgrade slasher to level 2 to kill enemies with full slasher combo easier.
Right after the shop you can skip cutscene by dashing through the trigger, but some times can be not work. Skip can save you around +10 second. There is two situations which can be:

1-You get cutscene.
You see two enemies 1 on your way and second on other platform to go next on mission. First enemie you can pull up to you and he will fall into abyss and to second you Angel lift and kill him with full slasher combo to not lose time on slow slow-motion moment after fight and go next.

2-You skipped cutscene. You dont see any enemies and you just go next, but when you pull platfrom which you need to go next would be so low then in usually, but you can to a Trick Up+Angel dash and still do mission.

In the little platform section where you need to pull platform you can easy jump and do a Angel dash+Angel lift and go next.

Next fight is kinda fast. You meet new enemie it's Pathos. Demon pull and easy kill them. Fight would have only with Stygians and Pathos.
After fight would be platfrom escape segment to the last fight.
In last fight you would have a little bit some Elite Stygians which have more hp then usual Stygians and some Wisps.
Again: Be sure not do full slasher in open areas because you will knockback them and can them easy pull to you while them in berserk mode and you should wait when they fade out where they can be pulled.
Finish fight, skip cutscene, mission done.
Mission 2 - Hollow.
At the start of the mission we unlock the Angel mode and we have two good abilities which can helps us: Rapid slash and Aerial flush.
Start thow out of area enemies with flush, be sure you have good position, because if not you should or throw a lot of flushes by Aerial flush cancel or by doing full slasher combo with summoned swords.

After the fight skip cutscene and we go for another skip.
After we lift in platform where we should fight we can skip it by fly around the trigger of fight, in my speedrun or on NG+ you can see it.
But the sequence is jump forward-> dash forward -> trick up -> angel dash to a portal.
Next after portal you go into right way because this is the fastest way to get into next fight.
In next fight we meet Ravager which have berserk mode when them attack and you should fast trhow out of area this enemy.
And we had only Stygians and some Ravager to fight which you can throw too out of area or spam some full slasher combo, only if you lucky with spawn you can throw out of area.

Next fight we meet only Bathos and some Wisps with which you should be accurate, but with slasher level 2 you can easier kill them while them in berserk mode.

In the last fight we would have only Stygians with Ravagers and Crows. Best way that you would have great positions of enemies to throw them out of area. Wips kill only with your own hands.
End of Mission 2.
Mission 3 - Power Struggle.
Mission which you can literally skip. But this is hard to do.
First what you need to know If try to do a skip it's you dont took a Demon mode so we still without it, but this is dont stop us to skip one of hard fights on the start.

The sequence of abilities when you jump on top of the Arch is jump forward-> dash forward -> trick up -> angel dash and you should skip the fight and get to the another hard section to skip this.
To get on the invisible ground right after the platfrom where Dante stays you again do the sequence but if you in a front of a wall you start mash the demon summonning swords to gain altitude and Vergil will get up on invisible ground.
You going to the end of the this ground and try to jump on the beam which can be hard a bit, because to jump on the train you dont have a Demon mode to do a Killer bee to jump a top of it.
Did this skip? Nice you can go next right to the statue and while you get to the next area you can get promt of getting demon mode.
To get demonic mode in shop you should use shop two times and on the second you will have demonic mode to upgrade Volcano to Atomic.
And If you have 1 upgrade point buy a Rising star. If not so sell Slasher level 2 and buy a Rising star
After get the atomic we going next area where we should get Spiral swords with DT which give us to summon Spiral swords, but this fight can be skipped to by evade the trigger of the fight. And after skip where we see Dante and platform seciton we will get Spiral swords and DT.

But if you dont skip and get the fight just start use the Atomic to kill all enemies.
Fight have 3 stygians, 3 Ravagers, 3 Death Knights and Tyrant.
All enemies before Tyrant easy die by Atomic, but Tyrant you can easy kill by pulling him on the ground and use spiral swords with full slasher combo or some atomic if you sell the slaher and brought the Rising star.

Going next. We can skip last two figts.

If you that, jump on a top of the truck by perfrom Rising star->Trick up->Angel Dash. And end the mission.
If you did not skip you will have two fights where you have a lot of Pathos with shields, Wisps and Stigians. Kill them with Atomic+Spiral Swords because you will perform a lot of damage.
To get on the top on last fight you can trick up and Angel lift to the last fight where you can thow enemies out of area or deal a Atomic few times.

Last platform kinda easy there nothing to ruin only if game didn't want you to lift into next patform.
Mission 4 - Heartless.
This is the mission where you should perform some good skips to get faster to the end.
First fight with Hapries and Stygians kinda easy by using Spiral swords and pulling them to you and perform Atomic.
After that we go to the first skip which allow us to skip a long way to the next fight.
By stain on the platform where You can get HP cross you can perform a skip.
The sequence to skip it Jump forward -> Dash forward -> Trick up -> Killer bee and at once Angel Dash -> Angel lift and you can go next section where would be another skip of fight.
Another skip after the cutscene kinda tricky and you should do all correctly.

You need to correctly  avoid the trigger of fight and perform a skip by doing Rising Star -> Dash -> Trick up -> Angel dash -> Killer bee and you skip another fight.
If you get this you do what you do in first fight by Spiral swords and Atomic.
After the next portal we can skip another fights and get to the last figts.

But better to do a Rising star with Trick up and jump on a top of the tree and after that jump on platfrom higher and go to the next fight.

Last fight kinda hard can be, beacuse we would have a lot of enemies and witch which we would kill with atomic and spiral swords to destroy her shield. There's a lot of elite stygians and wisp so just destroy it all with atomic.

And to get into last faster just to a lot of a Killer bee because it faster and get to the Imprisoner which can easily die by perfom a Atomic with spiral swords and a bit of slasher combos.
After the kill end of the mission.
Mission 5 - Own Shadow.
Easiest boss fight and only one boss fight. To kill Hollow Vergil you need to juggle with Atommic and only Atomic. Just adaptise to Atomic timing and you easy kill him.
Mission 6 - Another Chance.
At the start of Mission 6 you allready should have full spiral swords with atomic.
Come to first fight when Vergil activate doppelganger then deactivate it immideatly, because on start it useless. Summon Spiral swords and kill everyone with atomic.
In platform section you dont need to wait when invisible platform will do full circle you can jump on a top of it and continue your way.
You can skip next fight by pefrorm this skip https://youtu.be/emGtQCO_3RE but this is can be hard so at first times you can not perform this skip.
In fight you will have Harpies, Bathoses and Withes so it would be easy when you Demon pull and kill with spiral swords and atomic.
In the next fight when you comming in the room with abysses you just pull enemies to throw them down. Pathoses you kill with spiral swords or pull them to you and kill them usually with yamato.
Come to the statue and buy a Doppelganger swith mode and 2 Devil crosses with Devil stars for backup on last fight.
Next fight would be easy with Doppelganger and spiral swords with atomic because you change it to the Demon mode and easily kill everyone in fight.
In little platform section nothing special If you dont want to lose time you can do a cut like I did do the platform on another fight.
In next fight you easily kill everyone too and go to the last fight where would be a lot of enemies and 1 Imprisoner.
Nothing special only Doppelganger with Spiral Swords and Atomic with backup stars and on the last kill timer stpos.

This is it. Vergil's Downfall kinda easy speedrun, but on technical movment skips you should have a lot of patient to do it consistanly.
I'll try to do a video guide next with explain all situation which can be in the run, but for now I did this.
