Immigration Lies

Pro-immigration claims are either too general for meaningful inferences to be made (commonly referring to immigrants as a monolith rather than by nation of origin, which matters a lot in evaluating policy), or suspiciously particular (immigrants leading in something good, but it's conspicuous when one realizes that nobody would look at said metric on its own to evaluate the policy)

This will primarily be centered on the Last Night in Sweden debacle as it basically had every one of these things.

The Right is wrong and exaggerates too. However at the end of the day they are bringing up a real problem and the Left is lying

1. Make speaking out Costly. Peter Springare, Swedish Policeman, being a great example

2. Memoryhole. The act of forgetting accidentally on purpose what was normal or discussed in the past. Allows you to craft/change the narrative Example: "Most muslims don't support sharia" -> "you just don't understand sharia" Or that there was a basically totally white London, or a Sweden which didn't have 55 high crime zones, or a Britain without grooming gangs coming from 2% of the population (pakistani percentage of Rotherham), or a Europe which could draw Mohammed. Going even further, European history is retconned to emphasize what little diversity there was. That way it tricks children into thinking this is normal rather than their home being given away.

3. Sophistic Narratives. Usually paired with some low hanging fruit (ie the most sensational arguments or statements by those against immigration are focused on to the exclusion of the central point being made) but this is basically what we see when people argue that "because crime hasnt risen these past few years, there is no problem." Putting aside the fact that crime can fall generally for any number of reasons, that this doesnt actually look at overrepresentation by background (data which is usually not easily found as well), or that it's a non-generalizable time-frame, this smacks of "because things didnt immediately fall apart, everything is fine." It's that exact quality which makes it a useful narrative, it can be rolled out later on as well whenever advanced technology or social planning lowers the crime rate.

Or even more bizarrely, pointing out the US has a high crime rate. As if that isn't largely driven by certain demographics as it is... has some bearing on mass immigration doesn't it?

Or, noting that the working class communities these migrants ended up in were always more crime ridden than the average. Well yea, but if the bulk of migrants are matching your old underclass, that's bad. There isnt anything magic about Malmo that makes people criminally inclined. It's reputation makes it a cheap place so newcomers end up there. And for all its faults, the Swedish underclass didnt toss around grenades.

And paired with the memoryhole, the populace will never realize that they keep being promised that everything is fine based on lies by omission.

4. Context denial/tactical nihilism. Allows them to reframe the issue and potentially trip up the opposition. Usually by making the issue purely about terrorism, hence tweets like this: https://archive.is/ruZiF

5. Virtue Signaling to make xenophilia a high status position. Usually in the context of preserving "civil society" or "norms" (none of which would be normal to people at any other point in history than the current decade and are often just guards in favor of the status quo)

Example: everyone feeling the need to defend Sweden when Trump said they had problems they never expected. They absolutely knww that all this is going on in Sweden, otherwise they wouldn't vehemently rush to say how nothing is going on. Then they vomited such shit tier tweets like "on behalf of the American people I'm sorry about our president" or "what about white rapes? We're talking about individual humans here" or "I don't care about immigration trends and their connection with the rise in rapes, I'm just concerned about trumps statement about what happened LAST NIGHT night in sweden, nothing else."

And let's see the memory-hole added to this to prevent people from seeing they live in anarcho-tyranny (the law abiding are tyrannized, the lawless are permitted. Usually because the lawless are politically useful in some way.) This was reported in an alternative news outlet for a reason. The main news decided it wasn't newsworthy I am sure, maybe it was just a local matter to them and therefore unimportant. And even this alternative outlet doesn't show that the police spent more resources on far right groups posting fliers. So it's easy to think it's just racists overreacting when you're shown a selective reality.
