  5. Name: Ajeet Patel
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Profession: Merchant
Affiliations: (head of) the Merchant's Guild.
  6.
  7. Appearance: Ajeet has straight, black hair that sits rather smoothly on his head. Though it's tradition to keep one's hair long, and initially he did so, upon moving to the West he modernized his look, by frequently wearing elegant business suits and cutting his hair short. His skin is the rather dark tone commonly attributed to Indians, and his eyes are a red-brown. Ajeet typically wears either these suits or the traditional outfit of a long, wide silk shirts and rather loose-fitting trousers. He will occasionally wear a turban as well, but it is uncommon for him to do so.
He has a simple red bindi central between his eyebrows to represent good luck.
  8.
  9. Personality: Ajeet is a very business-focused man. He puts his job above many other aspects of life, believing moving up in his job and having security is extremely important. He devotes much of his time to business and enjoys doing it. His dedication and joy has paid off highly for him, as well -- he has enough money now to indulge in many luxuries, which are one of his favorite things. He lives in a large home with silken clothes and servants.
  10.
  11. He is a very energetic man. He rarely finds himself in a position where he is exceedingly tired -- because of his energy, in fact, he finds himself often aware of the people around him and most situations, making him something of a nervous person. Furthermore, he is also an intelligent man and speaks English and Hindi quite fluently, and never intermingles the two. His intelligence he uses to work to his advantage in business, well aware of statistics, prices, economics and whatnot.
  12.
  13. Ajeet is also very polite. He refers to those around him as "sir" or "ma'am" (even sometimes going so far as to say "madame"). Since he was raised somewhat traditionally, he treats most everyone he meets very respectfully and as if they are above him, including bowing upon meeting (outside of his store, that is to say).
  14.
  15. Ajeet also enjoys fun and games. He is not much the "older and wiser" type, as, regardless of his age, he can be rather immature and fun-loving. He's very curious about western culture that he is unfamiliar with, as well, and has a natural admiration of westerners, particularly women. In fact, he's a natural flirt and loves to befriend and be near to women (among other things, trying to sell to them). He appreciates making connections and having an intricate network of friends and associates. Friends receive lower prices, while nobles and tourists receive high prices.
  16.
  17. While he is something of a ladies' man, he is not particularly interested in marriage. He's far more interested in a non-committed romance. However, he is still quite an honorable man and would propose in the case things got serious. Also because he is an honorable man, his advances are indirect; quite subtle and easy. If they are unnoticed or unrequited, he would easily brush off the incident for the comfort of others. While he can be quite narcissistic with priorities in an odd place, he cares quite a bit for the concern of others.
  18.
  19. Background: Ajeet was born in Mumbai, India as the first child of the rather well-to-do Patel family. While they weren't rich, and rather something of a middle-class family, with a rather decent home. His parents were overjoyed that their first child was a son and named him something they believed would bestow him with luck; "unconquerable". This name proved contrary when Ajeet was not as physically strong as most of the other children and was rather vibrant but standoffish in personality. However, his name did prove true in his quick wit -- he truly was "unconquerable" in intellect, with quick wit, and cleverness.
  20.
  21. During his childhood he was very easy to deal with. An excellent student, he absorbed all the things around him and was more than willing to be outside and interact with other children and play games. His father was a merchant just the same as he expected his son to be, and thus he taught his son any tricks he could from the time he was young, and had him know well in advance what his birth had destined him for.
