  12. The actual explanation for ShonSuperStar's claimed Trogdor score is that he used the practice mode glitch unique to GH2 360 has been known about since 2007 (glitch details below). All he did was activate the glitch and found a section that yielded a believable score of 208,610, which is under legitimate PS2 scores of around 208,700. The picture for this score is lost today but it was only a picture of the career setlist (only the score and gold stars). So he could play a section longer than Trogdor's 433 notes, could overstrum to break combo for better score control, and could also drop note sustains to further manipulate the score. None of this is detectable in a career setlist picture, but it is very suspicious to not have a proper newspaper picture for this even in 2009 when he posted it.

  15. On Jul 20, 2010 Shon went on to justify that he was in fact playing on Xbox PAL50 (Shon is from EU) and not PAL60. He claimed that his TV is "small and shit" and it runs at 50hz. Therefore this takes priority over the native 60FPS of PAL GH2 and the game could run at 50FPS. Source: https://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=104139&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=147

  18. As to why he would cheat? Shon was in the middle of making a run for 1st place overall on GH2 360 and was clearly frustrated with Trogdor. He posted a score of 196,162 on Jan 4 2009 with the comment: "I fail to see how this is possible, -6". Source: https://www.scorehero.com/view_scores.php?user=29728&song=891. The very next day he posted this FC and it is still on the leaderboard to this day. Shon was a very good player otherwise but this was used to misdirect the community into believing him. He took advantage of the community's lack of understanding of PAL60 on Xbox at the time and posted this illegitimate score. 23. 1. From the main menu, enter practice mode.
  24. 2. Choose the song that you want to perform the glitch with.
  25. 3. Pick the section that you want to play in career/quickplay.
  26. 4. Start the section on any speed (it's easiest to do this glitch on slowest speed).
  27. 5. Play the section and unplug your guitar controller exactly when the stats menu comes up at the end of the section. Instead of seeing the stats menu, the menu that says "YOU ARE ROCKING OUT TOO HARD" will come up. Next, plug the controller back in, and press continue. If the notechart keeps scrolling without stopping, the glitch is active.
  28. 6. Exit to the main menu and play the song in career/quickplay for a pass, 5*, or FULL COMBO. You only have to play the parts of the song that you chose in practice mode, so if you pick an easy part, you can easily achieve a full combo.
