  9. || "Carne Asada La Baba!" She'd announce, slamming a hand on the table, the core jiggling between the two of them before she grasped it and began to run to the kitchen, her bare feet slapping against the boards with intensely determined cheer. "That'll be the perfect dish-the one which will ascend heart and spirit to the heavens above! Orale!" Alma cried out cheerfully allowing her passions to burst forward as she sat the ingredient down and began to pull out some dried Ancho chilies from a nearby string that hung in the kitchen. A hand rose up, plucking one-then two-then three-four! She'd take quite a few as they'd land onto the table below, a hand opting to grasp just one like a shiv and lightly prodding the slime. Notably, it would begin to slowly consume the pepper-taking on the colors and growing slightly from the consumption.
  10.
  11. Alma took careful note of this, looking over towards Karura as she pointed towards the notepad on the table. "Write this down, the slime consumes." She'd remark lightly aiming to scoop off the point of entry to give it a light taste, a vivid shock of positivity exploding from her as she continued to describe the wondrous ingredient of legend with her left leg kicking back in a girly way as hands fired into the sky. "And it takes on the flavors!" The Masked Woman would quickly begin to feed through the other peppers into the strange slime, her hands now working to massage the strange slime as a means to allow the flavors to spread out across the entire body.
  12.
  13. While the Strange woman's hands were at work, her mind would not be idle, slowly starting to analyze the arsenal known as Street Beans to it's fullest. "garlic cloves, orange juice from the pulp, oregano-the good import one!" She'd stress jabbing a finger towards Karura. "Go get me the orange juice-I can handle the garlic and oregano." The Chef remarked now sliding the slime core into a bowl. Her hands moving forward to grasp a fresh clove of garlic. While Alma could just simply toss the whole thing in like a brute, she would refrain aiming to do it right, pulling the cloves free and aiming to mince them up, smashing the full clove under the side of her knife before gathering them all up for the chopping block. Once done, they'd be moved to the side as she took from her oregano stash the finer product reserved usually for the utmost important dishes that came with a matching price tag and aim to toss it with the minced garlic together before finally evenly spreading it in the strange core, once again massaging the surface to allow them to properly mix.
  14.
  15. Next, the Orange juice which would come to her aid would be poured in alongside some water to help cause the mostly solid slime to gain a thicker, creamy consistency though she'd learn one of the big flaws of this ingredient-it would be physically unappealing regardless what she did, god damn did the taste test give results and those results deserved a touch of fresh honey to slowly slide down into it like liquid gold!
  16.
  17. The Marinade was then complete and now the Carne Asada would be prepared while the marinade was strained, a duty she would leave to Karura as she continued on the main dish's work. Alma would originally choose to work with flank steak, the desire for a rich, meaty taste while maintaining a leaner build would be ideal for something where the marinade was aiming to be the star of the show and yet-on second thought she'd work with skirt steak instead. While tougher, the fibers would be more likely to stand up to the slimes acidic properties and perhaps it would even balance out as it melted the toplines of the meat to soften it down.
  18.
  19. With a self-approving nod, she'd begin, allowing the meat to set for a moment as she looked over the notes to ensure everything was accounted for. "tougher fibers to stand up to the acidic levels. The dish would need to be eaten fresh or it would eat itself I reckon."
  20.
  21. Alma would return, taking out the prepared steak and tossing it onto the grill, preparing it for the home stretch. The Streak would begin to be expertly cut the steak against the grain-the natural breaking point of the steak after it had been through the soak, her aims then taking a knife and sliding more of the slimy marinade like butter to toast in order to get that desired, softer effect the chef so desired before throwing them on the grill. They'd be cooked with the intent to be a bit on the rawer end of the spectrum to account for acidic burning across the top and added heat. She felt 5 minutes per side would be good and making a good mind to salt and pepper the meaty strips as they turned across the grill, the very smell of wholesome garlic, citrusy and lingering umami to fill the air.
  22.
  23. Finally, Alma would slide the prepared meat onto one of her best plates, clasping her hands to give the meat a prayer, thanks to all which had been slaughtered and to give blessings for allowing her to be in charge of creating such a perfect dish. The Masked Woman then took a finger, pressing it into the remainder which rested on the bowl, lapping it up and sliding it across the top to create a heart symbol in the sticky goo.
  24.
  25. Presentation wise-the dish was mostly nice beef cuts, but it looked as if it bled out snot which had been burnt like an extra skin across the meat. Pulling it apart was like a mix of grilled cheese and cobwebs. It DID NOT look good or edible in any means, but Alma trusted her culinary skills and opinions. This dish WAS the magnum opus of her career and she has been preparing food since the beginning of time!
