- True worst case: Infinite death cycle on oddish fight, timesave: indefinite.
- True true worst case: Consecutively gen 1 miss until you run out of pp of all your moves, both strats even, never finish the game.
- Analysis: Whilst on face value this looks like a bad play in terms of average time, in a race or no reset run the worst case scenario is far more of a problem than in a run, where you can just reset. This strategy entirely eliminates the risk of dying from missing ranges on the fly split. I think this strategy could be a good option depending on the situation, for example, if you have redbar and IT after anne rival and have a solid lead over an opponent, this strategy can secure this lead by ensuring redbar for rock tunnel without any risk of losing the lead to multiple deaths to oddish, whilst also reducing risk of quick attack/gen 1 miss etc troll deaths. A test by doing full trials of the entire split in race situations would be the best way to test a strat like this, which is otherwise very difficult to quantify in terms of it's merit.
