- Star Citizen Patch 3.5.0a
- Alpha Patch 3.5.0a has been released to Evocati, and is now available to test! Patch should now show: PTU-1209915.
- It is strongly recommended that players delete their USER folder for the Public client after patching, particularly if you start encountering any odd character graphical issues or crash on loading. The USER folder can be found (in default installations) at C:\Program Files\Roberts Space Industries\StarCitizenPTU\LIVE.
- Please monitor etf mega chat in spectrum for updates and testing instructions.
- USER.cfg settings:
- r_displayinfo = 3
- Note: This patch is devoted completely to feedback on the updated flight model and will be split into several phases specifically designed to focus testing on aspects of the gameplay changed or impacted by IFCS. Missing 3.5 content will be added to testing at a later date and any new content not related to IFCS will not be part of this wave of testing. In addition, it is recommended that you redo keybindings from scratch for those of you using custom controls due to numerous updates.
- We are assessing changes at our baseline (Gladius/repeaters) but plan to expand to a couple more ships soon.
- Current Testing Limits
- Arena Commander game modes
- Gladius
- Klaus and Werner repeaters
- Testing Focus
- Core flight model
- Major Known Issues:
- The velocity limiter currently resets on death.
- Ballistic weapons are not applying damage correctly. W/A: Replace any/all ballistics with energy weapons.
- Pitching/yawing at or near the velocity limiter can cause the ship to accelerate beyond it.
- Art and assets are noticeably missing from Broken Moon and Dying Star
- We are only partway through a ship systems heat rework and as such weapons are currently not overheating.
- IFCS Updates
- Slightly increased base linear acceleration for light fighters.
- Removed the rotation restrictions from beyond SCM speeds.
- Slightly decreased ship angular velocity.
- Retuned Gladius roll for more crisp response.
- Changed g-force behaviors for more realistic limitations.
- Strafe forward/backward invert now refreshes the strafe axis when pressed.
- Added inversion settings for speed range absolute and strafe forward/backward.
- Updated cruise control with new behavior
- Cruise control, when activated, now locks the current vector and velocity and no longer disengages with strafe inputs.
- Bug Fixes
- Targeting should no longer randomly drop when other players or AI ships die.
- Fixed some controls that could not be rebound.
- Pips and hit registration should now predict and operate as expected.
- Technical
- Fixed a client crash.
