Background:
So was raised in a relatively happy environment. However, her parents always pushed her competitively; in academics, sports, and creative outlets. Because of this distance from her parents, she came to rely heavily on the few close friends she had. She made a promise to them never to leave them. Her friends, however, had family issues. They were determined to run away together, and because of her promise, So agreed to come as well. She trails off, but then turns the tables. "What about you? You haven't done a single delinquent-like thing since being here. What'd you come for?" So looks down, unwilling to say her reasoning, and the girls come to a silent understanding that they were just...there.
3. (MERCY) So is sitting on the roof of the bus, looking quite beaten down. She doesn't feel beaten down, or at least doesn't realize that she does. Mercy comes up to her and talks to her, leaning up against the side of the bus. "You're the youngest here," she begins. So's guard goes up. "What of it?" It comes out harsher than it's meant to. Mercy shrinks slightly. "Why do you insist on doing so much?" Mercy looks up at the other girl with tears shining in her eyes. "I see it wearing you down. You ought to be cute and lively and YOUNG. Why do you want to grow up so fast?" So relaxes, sinking her elbows onto her knees. She sighs answering the other girl's question and feeling bad for making her cry. "I...don't know. I feel like I've always been forced to be the best and the eldest and the fastest and the smartest. It's a part of me now." She trails off, and warmth pricks the backs of her own eyes. "I don't know if I like it or not."

2. (Dancing) So went where she always did for some time alone; the grassy fields next to wherever the bus was. Far enough away that no one could see or hear, but close enough to run back. She brought her phone and comfortable clothes, as always. She stretched and turned on her improv playlist. The music filled her ears, and she started moving. She danced beautifully, fluidly, through at least three songs. She stopped suddenly, feeling the tiredness come. She opened her eyes to stop the music, and sees Chan standing nearby. He smirks, and claps softly before turning and walking away.
3. (Reading) So is in the last seat on the bus, her knees pressed against the back of the seat in front of her. She has a DC comic open to the second page, a Batman comic. Chan suddenly walks down the aisle and asks what she is reading. She excitedly tells him about her fondness for comic books, and he seems genuinely interested. He sits beside her and they spend an evening discussing their favorite superheroes.
