  1. SOMEONE HELP ME HOW DO I DO THE SPOILER STUFF IN SITE I DON'T KNOW!
  2.
  3. Anyhow hi anyone reading this, here's the wall of text. It is divided into 6 sections, where 5 of them deal with the crux of arguments presented by the OP, and the sixth comprises of specific rebuttals to certain stuff. I've tried to declutter it as far as I can and if you can't at least read what's been written here (not asking you to agree, dear reader, but read) you are a troglodyte who shouldn't have accessed the internet in the first place. Am I more annoyed than what is perhaps understandable? Yes. Did I spend 10 minutes just formatting everything? Also yes.

  5. 1. Does Yhwach retain weaknesses?
  6. Yes. He retains his weakness to still silver, which means absorbing someone who doesn't have that specific weakness doesn't mean he loses his weaknesses. Purgy has stated multiple times that absorbing a weakened Soul King should mean he isn't weak to that specific thing, but clearly Yhwach retains his weaknesses because Soul King doesn't have soul distribution powers, doesn't do Auswahlen and thus obviously doesn't have any weaknesses to still silver. Yhwach retaining that particular weakness is pretty indicative of that he retains his weaknesses when absorbing someone, which makes sense because he doesn't BECOME the person he's absorbing, he remains his own entity with his own strengths and weaknesses. Nothing indicates that he loses that particular weakness, because he doesn't lose the other weakness.

  8. 2. Why is this important for infinite stamina?
  9. This being a versus forum and not a dictionary as Purgy claims it to be means that infinite stamina means someone is capable of fighting forever. That is the functional purpose of someone having infinite stamina, and it is indicated in the actual wiki's page for infinite stamina. Paraphrasing, "Infinite stamina should only apply to characters that can use their abilities any number of times without exhaustion." This means that a character should be capable of sustaining his abilities indefinitely. If Yhwach can still regress to his infantile state after a certain period of time, he can't use his abilities indefinitely. Purgy's rebuttal, which was mostly free from logical errors, had this gem of an oxymoron: "Even if we take Yhwach's weakness as valid, it doesn't change the fact that until he regresses, he can use his abilities infinitely with no fatigue." How, I ask you, can someone do anything infinitely if it has a time limit? It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. If he clearly has an established time limit to his abilities, then he can't under the logic of the wiki have infinite stamina. For Yhwach, running out of soul juice IS FATIGUE. Infinite is not a word to be taken lightly and I feel that is exactly what's happening here.

  11. 3. The "this doesn't matter, it wasn't fleshed out" argument, and Berkastell's glossed over argument.
  12. Do I need to say more than denying clearly established canon because you don't like it is excessively whiny behavior and stems from a flawed argument in incredulity? There's a lot of stuff mentioned that doesn't appear again. It doesn't discount canon. Your theories should always fit canon first and blossom into unexplored territory later, not put the cart before the horse. Furthermore as someone quite allergic to headcanon, as Purgy calls established canon, he completely glossed over the excellent point made by Berkastell that Yhwach still needs to sleep, which Purgy explains away as taking a nap but is quite evident that the entire "mask of the ruler" given to Haschwalth schtick is clearly still in play as he has the Almighty. That is not taking a nap, that is building on established canon. Purgy, do you not like building on canon, and simultaneously hate when someone does build on canon? Is that what this is? Is the reason it was quickly glossed over is because Yhwach can't even fight for 24 hours completely, let alone indefinitely, a massive nail in the coffin for Yhwach qualifying for infinite stamina?
  13.
  14. 4. Does absorbing the previous soul king mean you become him? And more on Yhwach-Soul King equivalence.
  15. The answer here is no. Yes you gain their abilities, but the Soul King is a position, and the Reio (referring to that specific SK as Reio from now on, not the position itself) has a different set of abilities than Yhwach. If Reio doesn't absorb souls and can't regress, it does not mean that Yhwach can't after absorbing Reio. He has a different set of abilities, and different weaknesses. He didn't BECOME Reio after absorbing him, he absorbed his powers and abilities. He retains his own powers, anilities, personality and weaknesses. Why he would retain only three of the aforementioned four is exactly what Purgy hates, headcanon. Furthermore why Reio would be applicable for infinite stamina and Yhwach wouldn't is that Yhwach has a specific weakness that Reio doesn't have which means he can't function indefninitely, an important difference between these two.

  17. 5. A cool side note from LordGinSama
  18. His original statement: "Also wasn't Yhwach passively sustaining the realms despite being a literal corpse? A golden rule of Bleach is that the heart needs to pump to produce Reiatsu, and as a corpse Yhwach obviously wouldn't have a heartbeat to produce Reiatsu." The thing is, sustaining the universe isn't something one actively does as a dead to rights Yhwach can do it, and a vegetable Reio can do it. Reiatsu has been stated to be passive emission from a living being, yes, but CFYOW and the Hell one-shot have stated that reiryoku lingers after someone's death as it does on Yhwach's corpse. Sustaining the universe isn't an active thing, changing it is.

  20. 6. Some specific rebuttals:
  21. a) "I didn't find the scans stating Yhwach needs the souls of the killed, as stated by Yhwach" I direct your attention to https://bleachmanga.biz/read-bleach-chapter-565-god-like-you-updated/ last page.
  22. b) This one is mostly a typo:
  23. "me: Again don't discount headcanon because you don't like it.
  24. purgy: No idea what you're talking about, I can dismiss your headcanon as much as I want, we use actual evidence here, not theories."
  25. I meant to say established canon there, you can go back to see if it fits the context.
  26. c) "That's the issue, you don't get to agree with SK and disagree with Yhwach, Yhwach absorbed him and we treat him as gaining everything Weakened SK has. If you disagree with Yhwach, then SK isn't getting it either." See this is the kind of stuff one gets baffled over. He gets all weakened SK abilities, yes, but he retains his own abilities and weaknesses too mate. See point four for more.
  27. d) "It's not incredulity, it's a fact, Yhwach's weakness was never fleshed out nor actually brought up again, it was completely abandoned as a concept." Stop whining. There is nothing indicating otherwise in the manga, and it is hilarious to see someone defending CFYOW but abandoning Kubo's own work. Everything in Bleach is vague, and just because you don't like it doesn't mean you can harp on and on about it. Especially with the "I never once said it wasn't canon, I said..." THEN DON'T MENTION IT MATE.
  28. e) Is this organised enough for you?
