  1. The creature shot Matt a toothy grin and said, “Good boy, we knew we would like you.” Her compliment was lost on Matt who had finally passed out from exhaustion. Sam let out a warped giggle and rose to her feet, the sight of a half-naked, fairly well built man lying unconscious on her hallway floor was something to laugh about she supposed. She squatted down next to him and asked “Now what are we going to do with you?”

  3. Matt jerked awake suddenly. Early morning light was peeking through the window. His mouth was dry and he felt cold, why was his room cold? He rubbed his face with his left hand and drew it back to eye level; he saw the sheen of sweat in the dim light of his room. No, this wasn’t his room; there was no window at the end of his bed. He fumbled around trying to find his bearings and over-extended himself, falling out of bed and onto his side. Looking in front of him he saw the line of light that only came from the bottom of a closed door. He started to get to his feet but stopped himself at the sound of footsteps approaching. The door opened outwards, rooting Matt to the spot. Standing in the hallway was a short-haired girl clad in an equally short black-lace nighty, holding a glass of water in her free hand with the other placed on the door handle. The two of them stood in the awkward silence before Matt rose from his crouch and tried to formulate some sort of explanation, even though he himself had no idea what he was doing in this girls room.

  5. “Uh-uh um…” Matt stammered as the girl walked towards him and switched on the light to her left. Matt’s vision distorted for an instance then snapped back to normal. In the light he could see the girl clearly now; it was his neighbour Sam, sporting something a bit to risqué for the quiet girl Matt had helped move in 4 months ago. Sam drew herself closer, placing her glass on the set of drawers next to the doorway. Sam stood next to Matt and looked vacantly into his eyes, as if she was looking past him, then she spoke “Oh no, you didn’t hit your head did you?” stroking the sides of his head with her left hand. Matt was stunned, the situation had gone from weird to twilight zone faster than a speeding bullet.

  7. Matt broke the silence, “Um Sam? H-how did I get--“she put a finger on his lips and placed another to hers. “Shhhhhh” she said pressing her palm onto his chest “We understand; you’re tired and confused.” She gently pushed him backwards, catching his legs on the bed, forcing him into a sitting position. Sam continued “but if you just take a seat and relax…” She sat down next to him and up close matt saw just how thin the nighty she was wearing really was. She looked into his eyes and Matt saw something, something else in her eyes, “And we’ll explain everything to you.” She smiled and so did Matt.

  11. Matt stood in the hall, tapping his fingers off the banister. “Sam!” He called upstairs, “are you ready yet?” a voice called back to him “coming!” Matt turned to look out the door into the late January afternoon. He busied himself by adjusting his scarf under his chin. He turned as he heard the sound of footsteps on the stairs behind him. Sam was there clad in a black latex nurse’s uniform complete with hat and black pumps. Matt did a spit take as his girlfriend approached him; she wrapped her arms around his midsection and buried her head in his parka. Sam looked up at him with a mischievous smile on her face. “You like it?” she asked, Matt stroked her hair and replied “Love it.”

  13. Sam released Matt from her grip and turned to the coatrack on the wall behind her. “Good” "she said cheerfully “I’ll let you inspect it thoroughly tonight.” She grabbed her beanie hat off the coatrack and the latex uniform began to melt and shift itself into her winter-wear comprised of parka, gloves jeans and furry boots. She turned around smiling, “C’mon, we don’t want to keep Jenny waiting”. She took Matts gloved hand in hers and pulled him through the doorway out into the cold air.
