Four Fates Under the Southern Sun PF, Session 20

Luna purchased several gifts for the Duergar in the marketplace.

Mira spent time researching and penning a letter to her family, which Vasileios delivered using his magic.

During Mira's delving and modification of Enzo and Giancarlo's memories, she found out the following information.

- Enzo is a half-double agent for the Vatatzes. He feeds them some false and some true information. He tows the line and tries to appease them while prolonging Giancarlo's life.
- Enzo's memories modified to support the party's narrative. The memory was implanted that the Ashig may resurrect him.

She modified Enzo's memory to be the inside man/double agent. Mira modified Giancarlo's memory to make him independent and supporting the cause. The situation was framed as the Ashig resurrect Giancarlo after he is 'slain'.

During the memory modification, Mira inclined Giancarlo inclined to have a flirtation with Nharma. Mira killed Giancarlo in his sleep. She transformed to appear as Tveria, strangling him. She gentle reposed his body to preserve it for 16 days.

During this interim, Aidyn left the city to resupply on beets. He was not pursued after an initial check in.

After the modification, Xander noted an alignment shift in Giancarlo, to one of the good alignments.

Vasileios purchased fine black banded marble for Randalbor the sculptor as a portion of the gifts to be given to the Duergar.

The party teleported outside the Duergar compound and entered from the stair. They were greeted cordially by the sentry, and invited in. He shared some disturbing news since their prior departure - Dramira and her brother, Bertulf, were kidnapped during prior Tel-Shanas raid and are presumably being held in their dungeon.

Marty 'Long-legs' evidently went missing as well, but much earlier than Dramira and Bertulf's disappearance.

This was confirmed by Vasileios with a sending to Dramira, who seemed trapped and afraid.

Putting this aside for the moment, they bestowed the Duergar with their gifts.

Vasileios instructed Randalbor on how to properly decorate an altar to Isha, which he seemed thrilled about. He was given the black banded marble and instructed him to make a marvelous statue with it.

The party spoke with Larin, the leader of the local Duergar, and he described their setbacks with the Tel-Shanas's bolder raids recently. The Spider Queen impressed upon him that he -should- be afraid of the Tel-Shanas.

Giancarlo was brought back from the dead. He seemed to buy Mira's alterations wholesale, and indeed, appeared to have a extremely altered personality.

Giancarlo had much to say, and many observations to make, including,

- Describing the Duergar as 'legendary bogeymen'
- He intends to instill discipline and order in the dwarves
- He seemed to think both Nharma and Ceriva were his 'love interests'
- He seemed quite confident in general, and in his ability to 'lead the resistance' from the Duergar camp

Giancarlo was given his and Tveria's egg. He was duped into thinking it was his and Ceriva's.

The party rested, and upon awakening, they found the Duergar, predictably, were indulging in their gifts.
